Culture Minister Miri Regev’s threat to pull funding for the Israel Festival if the annual event continues to invite acts featuring nudity did not go over well with the audience — in fact, it was met with naked opposition on Thursday night.

The controversial minister was subjected to sustained booing, a crowd that turned its back on her and, at least one protester stripping to her underwear, as she tried to give her opening remarks at Israel’s premier annual arts event. Bannir

“It’s destructive and harmful,” she said over boos from the crowd that continued unabated for some ten minutes. “I never said I’d cancel it, but I won’t finance it. I will not support nude shows.”

As Regev appeared on stage, many of the concert goers seated at the Sultan’s Pool in Jerusalem, awaiting a night of live Israeli music, stood and turned their backs on her. Others jeered and whistled.

One woman stripped down to her bra in protest at the minister’s anti-nudity stance. Another yelled at Regev that the ballgown she wore to the Cannes Film Festival, featuring iconic images from Jerusalem in honor of the city’s 50th reunification anniversary, was “ugly.”

As the crowed continued to boo the minister, she vowed that “I won’t leave this stage until after I’ve finished what I have to say,” and declared that her vocal opponents were delaying their show by booing her speech.

Israel Festival director Eyal Sher had asked the crowd ahead of time to tone down its response, reminding everyone “that this is a cultural event; calm down, everyone.”
He came out again during Regev’s speech to ask the crowd to settle down.

Regev sparked the row when she said earlier this week that her office would not subsidize shows “harmful to the basic values of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state.”

The Israel Festival is the country’s largest and most important interdisciplinary arts festival, featuring performances by domestic and international artists.

In a letter Tuesday to Sher, Regev wrote that full nudity — even in the framework of art — offended many people in Israeli society.

While the festival and audiences could make their own choices, “state funding cannot be distributed to activities detrimental to the values of society and its identity,” Regev wrote to Sher.

This year two productions — “Pindorama” from Brazil and Spain’s “And what will I do with this sword?” — feature nudity.

Sher stressed that both of these shows were only for those who had purchased tickets and were staged in auditoriums, not “in the wider public sphere.”

“We state clearly on all marketing material which performances include nudity, specifically because we are sensitive to those who might not be interested in such shows,” he said on Thursday.

Sher said the organizers were not considering changing the program, and noted that the ministry’s funding enabled the festival to “bring the most original, contemporary, innovative, daring materials based purely on artistic considerations.”

The Culture Ministry provides approximately 20 percent of the festival’s budget, which Sher said was under NIS 10 million ($2.82 million, 2.51 million euros).

Regev, formerly the army’s chief spokeswoman and censor, has taken upon herself to rattle Israel’s art establishment, which she considers to be uninclusive and leftist.

Cultural figures in Israel accuse Regev of seeking to muzzle them, including trying to advance a bill that would cut subsidies to institutions deemed not “loyal.” That bill was never finalized.

The new social norms they want to impose to all of us. If we don't embrase those values, we will be criminalize, our kids will be rape for their protection against "our" hate crime and xenophobia. This is the new families values they want us to share under the satanic Roman Empire who play the game of hypocrisy by denying this global agenda, but at the same time we can see most of religions and traditions all around the world who endorse those evil perversions of the fallen ones in their clergy. LGBTQIA Resource Center Glossary

Below we have compiled a list of terms related to both the LGBTQIA community as well as general social justice terms.  Many of the terms and definitions below are ever-evolving and changing and often mean different things to different people.  They are provided below as a starting point for discussion and understanding.

Ability: The quality of being able to do something

Ableism: The pervasive system of discrimination and exclusion that oppresses people who have mental, emotional and physical disabilities.
Ageism:  Any attitude, action, or institutional structure, which subordinates a person or group because of age or any assignment of roles in society purely on the basis of age (Traxler, 1980, p.4).  
Allosexism: The system of discrimination and exclusion that oppresses asexual people.
Allosexual: A sexual orientation generally characterized by feeling sexual attraction or a desire for partnered sexuality.
Allyship: The action of working to end oppression through support of, and as an advocate with and for, a group other than one’s own.
Androgyne: A person with masculine and feminine physical traits.
Asexual: A sexual orientation generally characterized by not feeling sexual attraction or a desire for partnered sexuality. Asexuality is distinct from celibacy, which is the deliberate abstention from sexual activity. Some asexual people do have sex. There are many diverse ways of being asexual.
BDSM: Bondage and Discipline, Dominance and Submission, Sadism and Masochism. BDSM refers to a wide spectrum of activities and forms of interpersonal relationships. While not always overtly sexual in nature, the activities and relationships within a BDSM context are almost always eroticized by the participants in some fashion. Many of these practices fall outside of commonly held social norms regarding sexuality and human relationships.
Bear Community: a part of the queer community composed of queer men similar in looks and interests, most of them big, hairy, friendly and affectionate.  The community aims to provide spaces where one feels wanted, desired, and liked.  It nourishes and values an individual’s process of making friends, of learning self-care and self-love through the unity and support of the community.  Bears, Cubs, Otters, Wolves, Chasers, Admirers and other wildlife comprise what has come to be known as the Brotherhood of Bears and/or the Bear community.  See also: Ursula
Bigender: Having two genders, exhibiting cultural characteristics of masculine and feminine roles
Biphobia: fear or hatred of people who are bisexual, pansexual, omnisexual, or nonmonosexual. Biphobia is closely linked with transphobia and homophobia.
Bisexual: A person whose primary sexual and affectional orientation is toward people of the same and other genders, or towards people regardless of their gender.
BlaQ/BlaQueer: Folks of Black/African descent and/or from the African diaspora who recognize their
queerness/LGBTQIA+ identity as a salient identity attached to their Blackness and vice versa. (T. Porter)   
Body Image: refers to how a person feels, acts, and thinks about their body. Attitudes about our own body and bodies in general are shaped by our communities, families, cultures, media, and our own perceptions. 
Body Policing: any behavior which (indirectly or directly, intentionally or unintentionally) attempts to correct or control a person's actions regarding their own physical body, frequently with regards to gender expression or size. (ASC Queer Theory)
Butch: A gender expression that fits societal definitions of masculinity. Usually used by queer women and trans people, particularly by lesbians. Some consider “butch” to be its own gender identity.
Cisgender: a gender identity, or performance in a gender role, that society deems to match the person’s assigned sex at birth.  The prefix cis- means "on this side of" or "not across." A term used to call attention to the privilege of people who are not transgender.
Cissexism/Genderism: Is the belief that there are, and should be, only two genders & that one’s gender or most aspects of it, are inevitably tied to assigned sex. In a genderist/cissexist construct, cisgender people are the dominant/agent group and trans*/ gender non-conforming people are the oppressed/target group.
Coming Out:  “Coming out" describes voluntarily making public one's sexual orientation and/or gender identity. It has also been broadened to include other pieces of potentially stigmatized personal information. Terms also used that correlate with this action are: "Being out" which means not concealing one's sexual orientation or gender identity, and "Outing, " a term used for making public the sexual orientation or gender identity of another who would prefer to keep this information secret.
Cross Dresser (CD): A word to describe a person who dresses, at least partially, as a member of a gender other than their assigned sex; carries no implications of sexual orientation. Has replaced “Transvestite”
Culture: A learned set of values, beliefs, customs, norms, and perceptions shared by a group of people that provide a general design for living and a pattern for interpreting life. “Culture is those deep, common, unstated, learned experiences which members of a given culture share, which they communicate without knowing, and which form the backdrop against which all other events are judged.” (E. Hall.)
Cultural Humility: An approach to engagement across differences that acknowledges systems of oppression and embodies the following key practices: (1) a lifelong commitment to self-evaluation and self-critique, (2) a desire to fix power imbalances where none ought to exist, and (3) aspiring to develop partnerships with people and groups who advocate for others on a systemic level.  (Melanie Tervalon & Jann Murray-García, 1998)
Demisexual: Demisexuality is a sexual orientation in which someone feels sexual attraction only to people with whom they have an emotional bond. Most demisexuals feel sexual attraction rarely compared to the general population, and some have little to no interest in sexual activity. Demisexuals are considered to be on the asexual spectrum, meaning they are closely aligned with asexuality
Disability/(Dis)ability/Dis/ability:  A social construct that identifies any restriction or lack of ability to perform an activity in the manner or within the range considered “typical” for a human being given environments that are constructed for and by the dominant or “typical” person.
Discrimination:Inequitable actions carried out by members of a dominant group or its representatives against members of a marginalized or minoritized group.
Drag King:  A person (often a woman) who appears as a man. Generally in reference to an act or performance.  This has no implications regarding gender identity.
Drag Queen:  A person (often a man) who appears as a woman. Generally in reference to an act or performance. This has no implications regarding gender identity.
Ethnicity: A social construct which divides people into smaller social groups based on characteristics such as shared sense of group membership, values, behavioral patterns, language, political and economic interest, history and ancestral geographical base.
Femme: Historically used in the lesbian community, it is being increasingly used by other LGBTQIA people to describe gender expressions that reclaim/claim and/or disrupt traditional constructs of femininity.
Gay:  A sexual and affectional orientation toward people of the same gender; can be used as an umbrella term for men and women.
Gender: A social construct used to classify a person as a man, woman, or some other identity. Fundamentally different from the sex one is assigned at birth.
Gender Expansive: An umbrella term used for individuals who broaden their own culture’s commonly held definitions of gender, including expectations for its expression, identities, roles, and/or other perceived gender norms. Gender expansive individuals include those who identify and transgender, as well as anyone else whose gender in some way is seen to be stretching the surrounding society’s notion of gender.
Gender Expression: How one expresses oneself, in terms of dress and/or behaviors.  Society, and people that make up society characterize these expressions as "masculine,” “feminine,” or “androgynous.”  Individuals may embody their gender in a multitude of ways and have terms beyond these to name their gender expression(s).
Gender Fluid: A person whose gender identification and presentation shifts, whether within or outside of societal, gender-based expectations. Being fluid in motion between two or more genders.
Gender Identity: A sense of one’s self as trans*, genderqueer, woman, man, or some other identity, which may or may not correspond with the sex and gender one is assigned at birth.
Genderism/Cissexism: Is the belief that there are, and should be, only two genders & that one’s gender or most aspects of it, are inevitably tied to assigned sex. In a genderist/cissexist construct, cisgender people are the dominant/agent group and trans*/ gender non-conforming people are the oppressed/target group.
Gender Outlaw: A person who refuses to be defined by conventional definitions of male and female.
Gender Non conforming (GNC):  people who do not subscribe to gender expressions or roles expected of them by society.
Gender Queer: A person whose gender identity and/or gender expression falls outside of the dominant societal norm for their assigned sex, is beyond genders, or is some combination of them.
Gender Variant: A person who varies from the expected characteristics of the assigned gender.
Heteronormativity: A set of lifestyle norms, practices, and institutions that promote binary alignment of biological sex, gender identity, and gender roles; assume heterosexuality as a fundamental and natural norm; and privilege monogamous, committed relationships and reproductive sex above all other sexual practices.
Heterosexism:  The assumption that all people are or should be heterosexual.  Heterosexism excludes the needs, concerns, and life experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual and queer people while it gives advantages to heterosexual people.  It is often a subtle form of oppression, which reinforces realities of silence and invisibility.  
Heterosexuality: A sexual orientation in which a person feels physically and emotionally attracted to people of a gender other than their own.
Homophobia:  The irrational hatred and fear of lesbian, gay, and queer people.  It can also impact the lives of bisexual, pansexual, transgender, intersex and asexual people.  In a broader sense, any disapproval of LGBTQIA people at all, regardless of motive.  Homophobia includes prejudice, discrimination, harassment, and acts of violence brought on by fear and hatred.  It occurs on personal, institutional, and societal levels.  Homophobia is closely linked with transphobia and biphobia.
Homosexual/Homosexuality: An outdated term to describe a sexual orientation in which a person feels physically and emotionally attracted to people of the same gender.  Historically, it was a term used to pathologize gay and lesbian people.
Internalized oppression: The fear and self-hate of one’s own target/subordinate identity/ies, that occurs for many individuals who have learned negative ideas about their target/subordinate identity/ies throughout childhood.  One form of internalized oppression is the acceptance of the myths and stereotypes applied to the oppressed group.
Intersectionality: A term coined by law professor Kimberlé Crenshaw in the 1980s to describe the way that multiple systems of oppression interact in the lives of those with multiple marginalized identities.  Intersectionality looks at the relationships between multiple marginalized identities and allows us to analyze social problems more fully, shape more effective interventions, and promote more inclusive advocacy amongst communities.
Intersex: People who naturally (that is, without any medical intervention) develop primary or secondary sex characteristics that do not fit neatly into society's definitions of male or female. Many visibly Intersex people are mutilated in infancy and early childhood by doctors to make the individual’s sex characteristics conform to society’s idea of what normal bodies should look like. Intersex people are relatively common, although the society's denial of their existence has allowed very little room for intersex issues to be discussed publicly. Hermaphrodite is an outdated and inaccurate term that has been used to describe intersex people in the past.
Latinx: [pronounced “La-TEEN-ex”] a non-gender specific way of referring to people of Latin American descent. Other commonly known ways of referring to people of Latin American descent are Latinos, Latina, Latin@, Latino. The “x” at the end replaces “o” and “a” which have been gendered suffixes, it moves beyond terms like Latino/a & Latin@, which still reinforce a gender binary.  
Leather community: A community, which encompasses those who are into leather, sado-masochism, bondage and domination, uniform, cowboys, rubber, and other fetishes. Although the leather community is often associated with the queer community, it is not a "gay-only" community.
Lesbian: A woman whose primary sexual and affectional orientation is toward people of the same gender.
LGBT:  Abbreviation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender.  An umbrella term that is used to refer to the community as a whole.  Our center uses LGBTQIA to intentionally include and visibilize the Queer, Intersex and Asexual communities under our umbrella.
LGBTQIA Allyship:  The practice of confronting heterosexism, sexism, genderism, allosexism, and monosexism in oneself and others out of self-interest and a concern for the well being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual people.  Is founded on the belief and believes that dismantling heterosexism, biphobia, transphobia and genderism/cis-sexism is a social justice issue.
Microaggressions: Brief and commonplace daily verbal, behavioral, or environmental indignities, whether intentional or unintentional, that communicate hostile, derogatory, or negative slights and insults about one’s marginalized  identity/identities. (D.W. Sue)
Misgendering: Attributing a gender to someone that is incorrect/does not align with their gender identity.  Can occur when using pronouns, gendered language (i.e. “Hello ladies!”Hey guys”), or assigning genders to people without knowing how they identify (i.e. “Well, since we’re all women in this room, we understand…”).
MOGAI: An acronym that stands for “marginalized orientations, gender alignments, and intersex.” Is used by some in a similar way to the umbrella acronym: LGBTQIA.
Monogamy: Having only one intimate partner at any one time.
Monosexism: The belief in and systematic privileging of monosexuality as superior, and the systematic oppression of non-monosexuality.
Monosexual: People who have romantic, sexual, or affectional desire for one gender only. Heterosexuality and homosexuality are the most well-known forms of monosexuality.
MSM: an abbreviation for men who have sex with men; they may or may not identify as gay.
Neutrois: A non-binary gender identity that falls under the genderqueer or transgender umbrellas. There is no one definition of Neutrois, since each person that self-identifies as such experiences their gender differently. The most common ones are: Neutral-gender, Null-gender, Neither male nor female, Genderless and/or Agender.
Non-binary: A gender identity and experience that embraces a full universe of expressions and ways of being that resonate for an individual. It may be an active resistance to binary gender expectations and/or an intentional creation of new unbounded ideas of self within the world. For some people who identify as non-binary there may be overlap with other concepts and identities like gender expansive and gender non-conforming.
Nonmonosexual: people who are attracted to more than one gender.
Omnigender: Possessing all genders. The term is used specifically to refute the concept of only two genders.
Oppression: exists when one social group, whether knowingly or unconsciously, exploits another social group for its own benefit.
Individual Level: beliefs or behaviors of an individual person; conscious or unconscious actions or attitudes that maintain oppression.
Institutional Level: institutions such as family, government, industry, education, and religion are shapers of, as well as shaped by, the other two levels.  The application of institutional policies and procedures in an oppressive society run by individuals or groups who advocate or collude with social oppression produces oppressive consequences.
Societal/Cultural Level: society’s cultural norms perpetuate implicit and explicit values that bind institutions and individuals; cultural guidelines, such as philosophies of life, definitions of good, normal, health, deviance, and sickness, often serve the primary function of providing individuals and institutions with the justification for social oppression.
Pansexual, Omnisexual: Terms used to describe people who have romantic, sexual or affectional desire for people of all genders and sexes.  
Polyamory: Denotes consensually being in/open to multiple loving relationships at the same time. Some polyamorists (polyamorous people) consider “poly” to be a relationship orientation. Sometimes used as an umbrella term for all forms of ethical, consensual, and loving non-monogamy.
Polygender, Pangender: Exhibiting characteristics of multiple genders, deliberately refuting the concept of only two genders.
Privilege: a set of unearned benefits given to people who fit into a specific social group.  The concept has roots in WEB DuBois’ work on “psychological wage” and white people’s feelings of superiority over Black people.  Peggy McIntosh wrote about privilege as a white woman and developed an inventory of unearned privileges that she experienced in daily life because of her whiteness.
Pronouns: Linguistic tools used to refer to someone in the third person.  Examples are they/them/theirs, ze/hir/hirs, she/her/hers, he/him/his.  In English and some other languages, pronouns have been tied to gender and are a common site of misgendering (attributing a gender to someone that is incorrect.)
Queer:  One definition of queer is abnormal or strange. Historically, queer has been used as an epithet/slur against people whose gender, gender expression and/or sexuality do not conform to dominant expectations. Some people have reclaimed the word queer and self identity as such. For some, this reclamation is a celebration of not fitting into norms/being “abnormal.” Manifestations of oppression within gay and lesbian movements such as racism, sizeism, ableism, cissexism/transphobia as well as assimilation politics, resulted in many folks being marginalized, thus, for some, queer is a radical and anti-assimilationist stance that captures multiple aspects of identities.  
Questioning: The process of exploring one’s own gender identity, gender expression, and/or sexual orientation. Some folks may also use this term to name their identity within the LGBTQIA community.
Race: A social construct that divides people into distinct groups based on characteristics such as physical appearance, ancestral heritage, cultural affiliation, cultural history, ethnic classification, based on the social, economic, and political context of a society at a given period of time.
Racism: The systematic subordination of marginalized racial groups (Indigenous/Native American, Black, Chicanx, Asian, Pacific Islander, and non-white Latinx folks, non-white Middle Eastern folks, etc.) who have relatively little social power in the United States, by members of the agent/dominant/privileged racial group who have relatively more social power (white).
Religion: A personal or institutionalized system of beliefs and practices concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, often grounded in belief in and reverence for some supernatural power or powers; often involves devotional and ritual observances and contains a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
Same Gender Loving: a term used by some African American folks who love, date, have attraction to people of the same gender.
Sex: a medically constructed categorization. Sex is often assigned based on the appearance of the genitalia, either in ultrasound or at birth.
Sexism: The cultural, institutional, and individual set of beliefs and practices that privilege men, subordinate women, and devalue ways of being that are associated with women.
Sexuality:  The components of a person that include their biological sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, sexual practices, etc.
Sexual Orientation: Sexual Orientation is an enduring emotional, romantic, sexual or affectional attraction or non-attraction to other people.  Sexual orientation is fluid and people use a variety of labels to describe their sexual orientation.
Social Identities: Social identity groups are based on the physical, social, and mental characteristics of individuals.  They are sometimes obvious and clear, sometimes not obvious and unclear, often self-claimed and frequently ascribed by others.
Social Justice: A goal and a process in which the distribution of resources is equitable and all members are physically and psychologically safe and secure.  Begins with an acknowledgement that oppression and inequity exist and must be actively dismantled on all levels. (Adams, Bell, & Griffin.)
Socio-Economic Class: Social group membership based on a combination of factors including income, education level, occupation, and social status in the community, such as contacts within the community, group associations, and the community's perception of the family or individual.
Spirituality: Having to do with deep feelings and convictions, including a person’s sense of peace, purpose, connection to others, and understanding of the meaning and value of life; may or may not be associated with a particular set of beliefs or practices.
Stereotype: A generalization applied to every person in a cultural group; a fixed conception of a group without allowing for individuality. When we believe our stereotypes, we tend to ignore characteristics that don’t conform to our stereotype, rationalize what we see to fit our stereotype, see those who do not conform as “exceptions,” and find ways to create the expected characteristics.
Trans man: A person may choose to identify this way to capture their gender identity as well as their lived experience as a transgender person.  Some trans men may also use the term FTM or F2M to describe their identity.
Transphobia:  the fear or hatred of transgender people or people who do not meet society’s gender role expectations. Transphobia is closely linked with homophobia and biphobia.
Trans woman: A person may choose to identify this way to capture their gender identity as well as their lived experience as a transgender person.  Some transwomen may also use MTF or M2F to describe their identity.
Transgender: Adjective used most often as an umbrella term, and frequently abbreviated to “trans” or “trans*” (the asterisk indicates the option to fill in the appropriate label, ie. Trans man). It describes a wide range of identities and experiences of people whose gender identity and/or expression differs from conventional expectations based on their assigned sex at birth. Not all trans people undergo medical transition (surgery or hormones).  Some commonly held definitions:
1. Someone whose determination of their sex and/or gender is not universally considered valid; someone whose behavior or expression does not “match” their assigned sex according to society.
2. A gender outside of the man/woman binary.
3. Having no gender or multiple genders.
Transition: An individualized process by which transsexual and transgender people “switch” from one gender presentation to another. There are three general aspects to transitioning: social (i.e. name, pronouns, interactions, etc.), medical (i.e. hormones, surgery, etc.), and legal (i.e. gender marker and name change, etc.). A trans* individual may transition in any combination, or none, of these aspects.
Transsexual (TS): A person who lives full-time in a gender different than their assigned birth sex and gender.  Many pursue hormones and/or surgery. Sometimes used to specifically refer to trans* people pursuing gender or sex confirmation.
Transvestite: This is an outdated and problematic term due to its historical use as a diagnosis for medical/mental health disorders.  Cross Dresser has replaced transvestite, see above definition.

TEL AVIV — The City of Tel Aviv-Yafo announced today that the theme of the 2017 LGBT Pride Parade is “Bisexuality Visibility” The parade will be the first large-scale pride parade in the world to ever celebrate the theme bisexuality.

Starting June 3, hundreds of thousands of people from Israel and around the world are expected to descend on Tel Aviv for a nonstop week of parties, events, and shows that feature and celebrate the city’s vibrant LGBTQ community, culminating in a massive parade through the city streets on June 9, expected to draw some 200,000 participants. Tel Aviv’s pride parade is the largest pride event in Asia and the Middle East, and one of the largest parades in the world.

Every year, members of Tel Aviv’s LGBTQ community choose a theme for the week of events in June. Past themes include last year’s “Women for a Change” and “Transgender Visibility”.

This year, the city’s LGBTQ community has chosen a theme that reaffirms its support for the diverse and inclusive atmosphere that has led to Tel Aviv being dubbed “the world’s gayest city” by The Boston Globe and “the gay capital of the Middle East” by Out Magazine.

The Tel Aviv Pride Parade is the only pride parade in the world that is fully sponsored by the Municipality. Over the last few years, Tel Aviv has significantly deepened its investments to promote gay tourism to the city, and an estimated 35,000 tourists are expected to arrive this year in Tel Aviv to take part in the pride events.

This year, the Municipality is collaborating with NYX Tel Aviv, the official Pride hotel. NYX Tel Aviv will offer special deals and host events organized by the well-known gay party line PAG.  The Hotel will be lit up in rainbow colors throughout Pride Week.

WASHINGTON (NNS) -- The Defense Department June 13, launched an online and mobile educational program to help individuals begin to recover, heal and build resiliency after a sexual assault.

The self-guided program, called, "Building Hope and Resiliency: Addressing the Effects of Sexual Assault," can be completed at the user's pace and features information about coping mechanisms, practical relaxation exercises, definitions, links to resources and referrals for ongoing support.

Research shows that some service members, including cadets and midshipmen, have experienced sexual abuse or sexual assault prior to joining the military. According to the DoD fiscal year 2016 Annual Report on Sexual Assault in the Military, approximately 10 percent, or 556 reports, of total service member victim reports involved incidents that occurred prior to military service.

Supporting Victims of Sexual Abuse, Assault

In order to support these individuals, the DoD Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office (SAPRO), via a contract with the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN), developed and deployed this anonymous, self-guided educational program on the Safe Helpline.

The program's development was directed by the secretary of defense in 2015 in order to meet the needs of the DoD community, including cadets and midshipman, who may have been victims of sexual abuse or assault prior to entering military service.

Recognizing the impact that trauma can have on an individual, this program is part of a comprehensive effort to enhance individual and collective resilience and improve readiness across the department. Users can take a brief, optional self assessment to gauge the effectiveness of their current coping strategies and whether they may benefit from additional support and resources.

"Knowing there is a significant link between childhood sexual victimization and adulthood sexual revictimization and health problems, we wanted to help service members who experienced sexual assault prior to joining the military learn about topics like healthy relationships and coping strategies, and identify whether they would benefit from additional support and resources," said Bette Inch, senior victim assistance advisor at SAPRO.

"Being able to access this tool anonymously and from the privacy of your own room through the SHL is key for many service members," Inch added.

Innovative Tools

As SAPRO and RAINN continue to seek ways to support survivors, innovative tools like Building Hope offer a safe, convenient and private way to empower individuals in their healing journey.

Members of the DoD community who have been affected by sexual assault can access confidential, anonymous support 24/7, through the DoD Safe Helpline at https://safehelpline.org/ or by calling 877-995-5247.

BERLIN (AP) — Seyran Ates’ vision of a liberal mosque where all Muslims can pray together — women and men, Sunni and Shiite, straight and gay — is almost a reality, and the 54-year-old daughter of Turkish guest workers in Germany is ecstatic as she enters the light-flooded room undergoing its final touches.

“I couldn’t be more euphoric, it’s a dream come true,” Ates said with a smile as she touched the white carpet that three Turkish workers were laying out in the freshly painted room.

Ates, a well-known women’s rights activist and lawyer, has fought for eight years to establish a place of prayer for progressive Muslims in Germany where they can leave their religious conflicts behind and focus on their shared Islamic values. The mosque, which opens Friday, will be the first of its kind for liberal Muslims in Germany, Ates said.

“This project was long overdue,” she said during an interview with The Associated Press this week. “There’s so much Islamist terror and so much evilness happening in the name of my religion … it’s important that we, the modern and liberal Muslims, also show our faces in public.”

The mosque is named Ibn-Rushd-Goethe-Mosque, combining the names of medieval Andalusian philosopher Ibn Rushd and German writer Johann Wolfgang Goethe. It is located on a busy shopping street in the immigrant neighborhood of Moabit, which is dotted with Indian and Vietnamese restaurants and Middle Eastern cafes.

Visitors looking for a minaret or trying to follow the call of the muezzin will be searching in vain. The mosque occupies a big room on the third floor of an old Lutheran church.

“To get started, we’ve rented this room for one year,” Ates said.

More than 4 million Muslims live in Germany, the majority from Turkey but also from the Balkans, the Middle East and Northern Africa.

Most started coming to Germany in the 1960s as workers to help rebuild the economy after World War II. While it was Germany’s intention to send them home after a few years, many stayed and brought over their families. More recently, Germany has taken in more than 1 million refugees since 2015, most of them Muslims from war-torn countries like Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Relations between the country’s majority Christian population and the Muslim minority traditionally have been complicated. They have been strained by several terror attacks in Germany by Muslims in the name of the extremist Islamic State group. Raids on, and bans of, radical Muslim associations and arrests of extremist suspects have become commonplace.

Ates said the new mosque will be a place of liberalism where everyone is welcome and equal. Women don’t have to wear headscarves, can preach as imams and call the faithful to prayer just like men.

“There won’t be any hate preaching against democracy here,” Ates said. Instead, followers can express doubt about their beliefs and approach their religion with sense and reason instead of blind devotion, she said.

Ates, who was shot and almost died while working as a counselor for Turkish women in 1984 and was attacked by an enraged husband, waved aside any potential worries about threats or criticism from more conservative Muslims.

“I’ve received a few messages via social media, mostly full of expletives,” she said. “But 95 percent of the feedback has been beautiful and positive.”

Turks, Kurds and Arabs alike have donated money, businesspeople have called to offer help with creating signage and advertisements and several Middle Eastern restaurants will deliver free food for the iftar, the breaking of the Ramadan fast on Friday night, she said.

Ates’ sister brought 30 green prayer rugs from Istanbul a few weeks ago, and an Indonesian interior architect has offered her services to refurbish the 90-square-meter (970-square-foot) room.

For the future, she and colleagues dream of building a real mosque with several prayer rooms for believers of all the different Islamic sects as well as an academy devoted to the education of liberal imams, male and female.

Ates herself will preach at the opening ceremony on Friday.

“I will start studying Islamic theology and Arabic in Berlin this fall,” she said. “I want to become an imam myself.”

A marriage between three gay men has been legally recognized in Colombia’s first official “polyamorous” union.

The the union of actor Victor Hugo Prada, teacher John Alejandro Rodriguez and journalist Manuel Jose Bermudez was made official in Medellin on June 8.

“We wanted to validate our household ... and our rights, because we had no solid legal basis establishing us as a family,” Victor told Colombian radio station LAFM.

Speaking to Colombian magazine Semana, the men said the roots of their relationship started in 1999 when Manuel and John first met and began a relationship. That match then grew to include a third person, Alex Esneider Zabala, whom the couple met in 2004. It expanded still further when they met Victor, the youngest in the union, in 2012.

The men told Semana that they lived happily in the four person relationship for several years until Alex tragically fell victim to stomach cancer two years ago.

Manuel is the oldest of the three, although he has not revealed his exact age but is understood to be in his 40s or 50s. John, meanwhile, is 36 while Victor is the youngest at 22 years old.

Victor explained that the trio have signed legal papers with a solicitor in Medellin that establishes them as a family unit with inheritance rights.

“This establishes us as a family, a polyamorous family. It is the first time in Colombia that has been done,” he said.

Colombia legalized same sex marriage a little over a year ago, in April 2016. It was the fourth Latin American country to do so after Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay.

When asked by Semana if he considered his marriage strange, Manuel said: "The strange thing is to say that one can only love one person.”

LGBTQ activists in cities throughout the country are calling for city officials to create “rainbow crosswalks” to “honor the LGBTQ community.” — “Rainbow crosswalks” are public crosswalks that have been repainted in rainbow colors, which have been adopted by the LGBTQ community as a symbol of greater acceptance and rights for LGBTQ causes and beliefs.

Activists are urging local lawmakers to create the crosswalks through the use of petitions. Currently, one of the cities targeted is Chicago. A petition is now circulating there that has garnered more than 4,000 signatures. According to the petition’s text, “Some cities, like San Francisco, have made LGBTQ people feel more at home by creating permanent rainbow crosswalks to honor the LGBTQ community. … This is one small thing that could be done to signal to one of the most marginalized communities in the country that we are here for them, we see them, and we support them.”

Washington, D.C., already installed temporary rainbow crosswalks honoring transgender persons earlier this year, and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed announced this week the city will make its rainbow crosswalks permanent following the circulation of a petition that amassed more than 22,000 signatures. Reed said the crosswalks would be featured year-round in part to honor those who lost their lives in the 2016 Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando. … Philadelphia and San Francisco already have permanent rainbow crosswalks of their own, and petitions are now also circulating in and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Milwaukee and New York City to install similar crosswalks, all of which would presumably be paid for by taxpayers.

Oh, great. Taxpayers get to foot the bill.

This isn’t just an US thing, its taking over Canada as well. Councillor Tim Stevenson and City of Vancouver Engineering Services Scott Edwards unveiled the Davie Village rainbow crosswalks.

CRAIG TAKEUCHISeveral American cities recently approved the creation of rainbow crosswalks to celebrate “LGBTQ pride,” and homosexual advocacy groups are circulating petitions to request that more cities paint their crosswalks with the “diversity” stripes.

Houston, Texas, Atlanta, Georgia and Washington, D.C. created rainbow crosswalks to coincide with their June homosexual pride events. In Atlanta, the display will be permanent.

“I believe that symbols of unity matter,” Mayor Kasim Reed said in a statement. “In recognition of the outstanding and ongoing contributions of Atlanta’s LGBTQ community to our city, I am pleased to announce today that the city will install the rainbow crosswalks at the intersection of Piedmont Avenue and 10th Street year-round.”

“This intersection in Midtown is recognized for its history as a hub for Atlanta’s LGBTQ community, and it is fitting that such an important and recognizable place should feature the rainbow flag,” he remarked. “We must never forget that love defeats hate, and light defeats the darkness.” :twisted:


In Houston, friends of a man who was killed in a hit-and-run in the city requested permission to paint the crosswalk at Westheimer Road and Taft Street in rainbow stripes.

“While this project was initially requested by friends of Alex Hill, the idea behind the crosswalk is to also honor the support and friendship many find in Houston’s LGBT community,” Matthew Brollier, one of the men behind the effort, told KPRC-TV.

“The hope is that the crosswalk serves as a marker of encouragement to all Houstonians and visitors in recognizing the city as a welcoming place, open to all people, and one that celebrates its diversity, with a nod to the neighborhood’s place in Houston’s LGBT history,” he said.

And in Washington, D.C., the Department of Transportation (DDOT) approved a request to paint a rainbow crosswalk at 17th Street NW to celebrate “LGBT Pride Month” and to coincide with the city’s pride parade.

A number of other cities already have permanent striped crosswalks in certain so-called “gayborhoods,” including in San Francisco (2014), West Hollywood (2012), Philadelphia (2015), Seattle (2015) and Miami Beach (2016).

Homosexual advocacy groups are pushing for crosswalks to now also be painted in New York City, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale and Milwaukee, circulating petitions calling for the pavement rainbow designs as a show of solidarity with homosexual residents.

“This is one small thing that could be done to signal to one of the most marginalized communities in the country that we are here for them, we see them, and we support them,” reads one of the petitions.

However, not everyone thinks the crosswalks are a good idea, and some find it to be one more means of openly and unashamedly celebrating sin.

“You know, I don’t have a problem with your sexuality, but when you start pushing it down our throats, that’s when it [upsets me],” one commenter wrote.

“Personally, the painting of crosswalks is stupid as we don’t paint them for all the other events in our communities. If we truly want equality we need to stop placing people or groups above each other,” another opined.

“So then I guess it’s okay to have crosses for a crosswalk. Just saying,” a third remarked.

“And this is what your tax dollars go to. When the Lord comes, there is no rainbow in Hell,” another stated.

A swarm of earthquakes hitting the region surrounding Yellowstone National Park in the past week has captured the attention of geologists studying the geologically volatile region. But United Methodists in the area are just now learning about a seismic shift of their own that threatens the continued operation of their conference.

“Unprecedented financial challenges have emerged in the last five months radically challenging our short term sustainability,” warned a presentation by the United Methodist Church’s Yellowstone Annual Conference on June 10. “Unfolding in 2017 is a[n] unprecedented level of deficit that could end normal operations of the conference.”

Bishop Karen Oliveto has overseen the Yellowstone Annual Conference since her appointment to lead the Mountain Sky Episcopal Area in September 2016.

In February, IRD reported that some congregations in the Mountain Sky Episcopal Area – which includes the Yellowstone Annual Conference – were facing decreasing membership and financial contributions following the election, consecration and appointment of the Rev. Karen Oliveto as bishop for the region. Oliveto, who is married to another woman, faces opposition from some United Methodists both within and outside of her Episcopal area.

Methodists in the region launched a “sustenation fund” – later re-styled a “generosity fund” – to compensate for financial “stress” in local congregations, but now problems with local congregation finances have manifested themselves at the conference level.

“We must decide and execute a course of action quickly, to be completed in the next 3-4 months,” the presentation urges.

A Sudden Crisis

While a scarcity of financial resources has afflicted the tiny, declining Yellowstone Annual Conference for some time, the June 10 conference report is phrased in urgent language, describing a grim financial shortfall that has developed only in the past 4-5 months.  Reasons cited include “weakened local churches due to death and loss of significant givers” and “reaction to [Oliveto’s] episcopal election” – which conference officials admit was a significant factor, if “only one of many”.

The Yellowstone Annual Conference has faced a loss of income of $30,000 a year from 2014 through 2016, but the presentation reports that in 2017 this loss has grown to $25,000 a month under 2016 income levels in 2017. Forecast income for 2017 is projected to be $935,000, while the forecast deficit is $303,356. At the start of 2017, conference reserves were only $294,000.

“By year’s end most reserves will be depleted with no new income projected to continue conference operations,” the report states. Citing only three levers of control, the report concludes that the conference must decrease spending, increase income (through squeezing more money out of the congregations within the conference,), and delve into the conference’s financial reserve.

Subtracting for denomination-wide “general church” apportionments (the conference is planning to pay $302,095, which would be slightly below average national and its own giving percentage levels for 2016), program and administrative staff ($398,625), office expenses ($62,000), and Cabinet Level Staff ($297,488) only $240,148 remains in the conference budget. Of this amount, all but $51,250 is needed to paying retiree healthcare, but $188,898 is needed for remaining discretionary items – an amount dwarfed by the projected deficit.

Tough Decisions Ahead

Plans for borrowing funds, raising money from outside the conference and squeezing more dollars out of struggling congregations – who have lost some of their own large contributors – are not sustainable.

All sources of significant spending reductions involve staff reductions, deep cuts to general church apportionments, and eliminating costs such as United Methodist campus ministry within the conference ($32,000), supporting the moving expenses for pastors within the conferences ($23,000), the conference Vital Worship Developer ($30,000) and support for the Blackfeet United Methodist Parish which serves the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Montana ($15,000).

The presentation suggests increasing conference income through setting of fundraising goals for congregations as part of a conference-wide campaign. But the amount of new funds needed would be significant: to take no more than $100,000 from reserve finds, approximately $150,000 would need to be raised (or cut in spending) by the end of 2017.

“Extraordinary efforts will need to be taken,” the presentation warns. If fundraising is not successful, the annual conference must have a plan ready to execute in November/December to severely curtail operations of the conference.

In the presentation, turmoil or financial distress experienced by local congregations is not addressed. The concern is focused entirely upon a conference budget largely controlled by the bishop (Oliveto). If Oliveto’s appointment as bishop is indeed one of the contributing causes to a financial shortfall, she could step down to relieve some of the distress.

The Yellowstone Annual Conference is already proposing a merger with the neighboring Rocky Mountain Conference. It remains to be seen if the financial difficulties will accelerate or force the hand of the proposal for Yellowstone to merge into a new Mountain Sky Annual Conference.

The Yellowstone Annual Conference is among the most liberal within the denomination. At its gathering last year, the group of churches in Wyoming, Montana and a sliver of Idaho voted to affirm abortion provider Planned Parenthood and a host of other progressive causes tied up in sexuality and gender identity.

Francois de Rugy, le nouvel occupant du perchoir de l’Assemblée nationale, lors de son élection le 27 juin 2017.

En Europe, la révolution sociétale est en marche. François de Rugy est élu au perchoir, le comité d’éthique ouvre la PMA aux couples de lesbiennes. Et le premier ministre suédois veut forcer les « prêtres » luthériens à bénir le mariage homo. Le grand remplacement moral ne se cache plus.
François de Rugy est une figure représentative de la révolution menée par Emmanuel Macron. Certains voudraient chercher dans son parcours politique la preuve que c’est un simple arriviste, pur produit de l’opportunisme de la « gauche plurielle », tirant des bords avec adresse entre l’écologisme et le socialisme de gouvernement. Ce serait réduire l’homme à ses ambitions et le dépouiller de sa cohérence idéologique, qui est grande et constante.
 François de Rugy, de la pastèque à l’arc-en-ciel et au perchoir
Il a commencé militant écologiste avec Brice Lalonde. Pas furieusement à l’extrême gauche. Il s’est accommodé du socialisme pour grimper les échelons de sa carrière, tout en se disant « plutôt libéral en matière économique ». Ce qui signifie que c’est un mondialiste adhérent à l’économie sociale de marché qui permet à la fois le profit des multinationales et la péréquation socialiste des richesses qui rabaisse le Nord au niveau du Sud.
François de Rugy a donc participé à la fusion de l’écologisme pastèque (vert à l’extérieur, rouge à l’intérieur) issu de soixante-huit en Europe, avec l’écologisme arc en ciel : la révolution ainsi visée est moins sociale (appropriation des moyens de production) que sociétale (bouleversement des normes éthiques associé à un grand remplacement des populations).
L’écologisme politique, moteur de la révolution éthique
C’est pourquoi l’écologisme d’aujourd’hui s’occupe moins d’environnement que d’immigration et de morale. Et François de Rugy en est une figure : seul des candidats à la primaire de gauche, il proposait d’instaurer en France la GPA (il l’a notamment expliqué au magazine Têtu le 20 janvier) s’il était élu, de même qu’il est évidemment partisan de la légalisation du cannabis, de l’extension du droit à l’avortement, du « droit à l’enfant » et du « mariage universel ».
Idéologue de la mondialisation par le libre échange et de la subversion éthique, il s’est parfaitement reconnu dans le macronisme et c’est pourquoi, reniant son engagement solennel de se rallier au vainqueur de la primaire de gauche, a-t-il soutenu Emmanuel Macron dès le premier tour, ce dont il se trouve aujourd’hui récompensé par le perchoir. C’est donc à la fois un extrémiste de la révolution éthique et un arriviste parjure qui préside aujourd’hui l’assemblée nationale.
Un comité national d’éthique normalisé par Hollande
Coïncidence, le comité national d’éthique vient d’émettre un avis favorable à l’extension de la PMA aux femmes seules et aux couples de lesbiennes. Cela clôt un débat long de quatre ans au sein d’un de ces machins non élus créés par la démocratie expirante pour donner une apparence de sérieux et d’impartialité à ses coups de force moraux. Le comité national d’éthique a été créé en 1983 en plein triomphe idéologique mitterrandien pour opérer la révolution éthique préparée dans les loges. Mais, concession tactique à la réalité, des représentants des principales religions pratiquées en France y étaient entrés, ce qui freinait un peu la frénésie « progressiste » de la chose. C’est pourquoi en 2013, François Hollande procéda à une vague de nominations visant à éliminer les « obscurantistes » coupable de s’être opposé au « mariage pour tous ». 22 nouveaux membres sur quarante, tous de gauche, étaient nommés par le gouvernement, renouvelant de fond en comble le comité national d’éthique et le préparant aux réformes souhaitées par les « progressistes ».
En cheville avec les LGBT l’Etat promeut la PMA pour toutes
Le résultat est conforme aux attentes des lobbys. Le don du sang est ouvert aux homo depuis l’été dernier. Et le comité national d’éthique préconise l’extension de la PMA aux femmes seules et aux couples de lesbiennes, ce que le candidat Macron avait promis pendant sa campagne.
Citons le quotidien gratuit 20 minutes : « Le comité a décidé dans sa majorité l’ouverture à ces demandes sociétales, c’est-à-dire non médicales, de recours à l’assistance médicale à la procréation », a déclaré son président, le Pr Jean-François Delfraissy. Une telle autorisation « peut se concevoir pour pallier une souffrance induite par une infécondité résultant d’orientations personnelles », explique le CCNE. L’organisme préconise ainsi d’élargir la PMA aux femmes célibataires et aux couples de femmes, qui en étaient jusqu’alors exclues. Une décision saluée par les associations LGBT et par le Haut Conseil à l’Egalité entre les femmes et les hommes (HCE) ».
François de Rugy veut la GPA, Macron la PMA
Ce texte est un modèle de journalisme. Tout y est montré en peu de lignes. La langue de coton hydrophile utilisé par le comité d’éthique pour faire passer en douceur une décision contraire à ce qui fut des siècles durant la morale admise et qui reste celle de la majorité des Français. Le motif de la décision : satisfaire la demande d’un groupe de pression caractérisé par des « orientations personnelles ». Sa justification éthique : réduire la « souffrance ». Enfin le jeu de larrons en foire entre le comité d’éthique, le lobby LGBT et l’autre machin d’Etat, le HCE.
Reste que Macron ne juge pas la question prioritaire politiquement, et que Mgr d’Ornellas l’adjure au nom de l’Eglise qui est en France de ne pas « réveiller les passions » en la traitant tout de suite : elle viendra donc sur le tapis lors de la révision de la loi bioéthique prévue en 2018, ce qui donnera le temps de régler certaines questions, comme le remboursement intégral de la PMA pour toutes, y compris pour les couples de lesbiennes afin d’éliminer toute « discrimination établie sur l’orientation sexuelle ».
Le premier ministre suédois assimile les « prêtres » aux sages-femmes
On voit que la France avec Macron et François de Rugy est en train de s’aligner sur le modèle suédois, sur les démocraties avancées du Nord, comme en avait rêvé Giscard voilà 40 ans. Le premier ministre suédois, le chef du parti social-démocrate Stefan Löfven vient d’affirmer au journal de l’Eglise de Suède Kyrkans TIdning « qu’aucun prêtre de l’Eglise suédoise ne peut refuser de marier deux personnes de même sexe ». Et il justifie ainsi sa décision : « Si vous travaillez comme sage-femme, vous devez pratiquer des avortements ou bien vous devez faire un autre métier. Il en va de même pour les prêtres qui ne veulent pas marier les homosexuels ».
Ancien ouvrier, syndicaliste, Stefan Löfven passe pour pragmatique en matière économique, favorable au commerce des armes, mais c’est aussi un enfant abandonné par ses parents, placé en famille d’accueil, un célibataire à qui l’on ne connaît pas de liaison féminine, et un athée. Bref, un idéologue LGBT.
Eglise suédoise : évêques lesbiennes et mariage homo
Ce « modéré » a donc pris résolument pris position pour la révolution éthique et montré dans les faits que celle-ci n’est pas négociable. En Suède comme en France elle procède par petits pas, en saucissonnant les questions, et en finissant toujours par aller au bout des conséquences des principes posés, sans égard pour les prétendus « garde-fous » posés à chaque tranche de saucisson.
Lorsqu’elle cessa d’être une église d’Etat, en 2000, l’Eglise suédoise pensait avoir retrouvé son autonomie, libérée des contraintes qui la liaient à l’Etat suédois. En 2009, réunie en synode, elle décidait d’autoriser le « mariage » religieux homo. En 2009 aussi, l’une de ses « évêques » s’affichait en couple de lesbiennes. Mais elle réservait aux « prêtres » qui le désiraient une sorte d’objection de conscience, la possibilité de ne pas célébrer de mariage homo. Voilà ce dont ne veut plus le premier ministre suédois. Il préconise au nom de l’amour une « Eglise démocratique ouverte qui défend l’égalité des droits pour tous. Les gens qui s’aiment, quel que soit leur sexe, doivent avoir le même droit au mariage ». C’est la logique même de l’humanisme, de la laïcité positive, qui met la loi civile au-dessus de tout, et qui finit donc par l’imposer à toutes les religions, dont les convictions doivent se conformer aux valeurs maçonnes.

On December 3, 2016 there was a symposium about "Religion and the LGBT Community" at Loma Linda University, a Seventh-day Adventist institution, in Califronia.

A call for to burn all the bible truths in front of a roaring audience that promotes a total disregard for the Bible truth about homosexuality. Gay marriage is next. Hold fast to the bible and get out of there folks.

A prominent LGBT activist who has donated more than anyone else to LGBT causes has said that "wicked" people who advocate for laws protecting the religious freedom of conservative Christians to act in accordance with their views on marriage and sexuality need to be "punished."

The Rolling Stone recently published a lengthy profile piece examining the contributions of Tim Gill, a software entrepreneur who has quietly been at the forefront of the push for same-sex marriage and LGBT rights in the United States over the past several decades.

The article explained how Gill, who is gay, has spent over $422 million to advance the LGBT cause and explained the impact that his associated organizations such as the Gill Foundation, Gill Action, and OutGiving have made on LGBT advocacy in America.

"Gill's fingerprints are on nearly every major victory in the march to marriage, from the 2003 Goodridge v. Dept. of Public Health case, which made Massachusetts the first state to allow same-sex marriage, to the Supreme Court's Obergefell v. Hodges decision two decades later that legalized it in all 50," Andy Kroll explained for Rolling Stone. "'Without a doubt,' says Mary Bonauto, the attorney who argued the Obergefell case, 'we would not be where we are without Tim Gill and the Gill Foundation.'"

But now that same-sex marriage has been legalized nationally by the Supreme Court's 2015 ruling, Gill, has continued to push forward in his effort to ensure that LGBT people are not discriminated against, even if that means opposing political efforts in states to grant religious exemptions to business owners or government employees who feel it violates their faith to participate in a same-sex wedding.

According to Rolling Stone, Gill and his allies have set their eyes on the "new front of the movement," calling it a campaign that "pits LGBTQ advocates against a religious right that responded to marriage equality by redoubling its efforts."

More specifically, Gill's efforts are now focused on southern states, where according to the American Civil Liberties Union, one-third of LGBT people in America live. Many of those states have few or no legal discrimination protections for LGBT people.

The Rolling Stone piece asserts that the election of President Donald Trump, who has filled his administration with social conservative proponents of traditional marriage, has "only emboldened those looking to erase the gains of the past decade."

"We're going into the hardest states in the country," the Rolling Stone article quoted Gill as saying. "We're going to punish the wicked."

Gill and his allies have worked to oppose state ordinances, such as North Carolina's House Bill 2. H.B. 2, which has since been repealed and replaced under the state's new Democrat Gov. Roy Cooper, effectively made it so no local government could enact an ordinance forcing businesses to allow transgender men and women to access showers, locker rooms and restrooms that are not consistent with their biological sex.

As the Rolling Stone piece explained that Gill, 63, looks to spend "every last dollar in the foundation's coffers" in pursuit of LGBT equality before he dies, he contended in the interview that the need for LGBT advocacy will never go away.

"You have to educate every single generation about this and make sure it doesn't creep back into our society," Gill is quoted as saying. "There's no sense in which the job is ever done."

During a question-and-answer session at Yale University in 2012, Gill was explicitly asked by a student about the need to engage in dialogue with Republicans and opponents of gay marriage in order to advance social change.

"Go back to the 50's, no one was on our side. ... no one was on our side and everyone was our enemy. You have to engage somewhere. The problem is there are enough people on the side of gay people now that you could become very comfortable and say, 'I will only deal with liberals or Democrats or whatever,'" he said. "There are five percent of people who are irrefutably forever our enemy and everybody else is our future friend. The question is what trajectory are we on to change them from being our enemy to becoming our friend."

Gill's comments about punishing the "wicked" come at a time in which conservative Christian business owners have suffered the consequences of standing up for their religious beliefs on marriage and sexuality.

Most recently, Stephen Tennes, the Christian owner of a farm in Michigan, sued the city of East Lansing, alleging that his family was banned from selling produce at a local farmer's market last August simply because the family explained that it could not in good conscience host a same-sex wedding on its own family farm. The family posted the explanation on its Facebook page when asked by a user on its Facebook page about hosting a same-sex wedding.

"This isn't just about our ability to sell at the farmer's market. It's really about every American's right to be able to make a living and not have to worry about the fear of being punished by the government," Tennes said in a recent video interview with the Daily Signal.

"We gave an honest answer to a very complex question," Tennes added.

Kate Anderson, a lawyer with the Alliance Defending Freedom who is representing the Tennes family, told the Daily Signal that within two days of Tennes' response on Facebook, officials with the city contacted the Tennes family and told them, "Do not come to the market because of what you said on Facebook."

While the Tennes family is no longer able to sell produce at the East Lansing farmer's market, other Christian business owners have had to pay a very hefty price for their refusal to participate in same-sex weddings.

In 2015, the Christian owners of a bakery in Oregon were fined over $135,000 by the state for their refusal to bake a cake for a same-sex wedding. The state's Bureau of Labor and Industries considered their actions to be a violation of the state's nondiscrimination laws.

In Washington, a Christian grandma florist named Barronelle Stutzman was sued by the state's attorney general for her refusal to provide floral arrangements for a gay couple's wedding on the grounds that it would violate her religious beliefs.

She was fined $1,001 and held liable to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees. Earlier this year, the Washington Supreme Court dealt another blow to Stutzman, ruling that she had violated the law.

"Our nation has a long history of protecting the right to dissent, but simply because Barronelle disagrees with the state about marriage, the government and ACLU have put at risk everything she owns," ADF lawyer Kristen Waggoner said in a statement after the court's ruling. "This includes not only her business, but also her family's savings, retirement funds, and home."

It was reported earlier this week that the U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear the appeal of a Colorado baker who was punished for refusing to bake a customized cake to celebrate a same-sex union.

Jack Phillips of Masterpiece Cakeshop, Inc refused to bake the cake in 2012 and the Colorado Civil Rights Commission found him guilty of discrimination in 2014 and ordered him to undergo sensitivity training. The next year, the Colorado Court of Appeals sided with the commission. Last April, the Colorado Supreme Court declined to hear the case. Phillips' case was appealed to the Supreme Court last July.

According to a report released this week by the social conservative nonprofit Family Research Council, violations of religious freedom in America have increased by over 76 percent in less than three years.

FORGIVENESS is essential, but PAYING for your crimes is also essential. The forgiveness is for the SOUL, and the criminal punishment is for the BODY. They are two DIFFERENT things.

However, a Mexican pedophile priest named Jose Ataulfo Garcia who admitted to raping 30 young girls between the ages of 5 and 10 years old, was cleared of any wrong-doing and won’t face any criminal charges by the Roman Catholic Church and will not face criminal charges.

Ataulfo has admitted to sexually assaulting indigenous young girls from Oaxaca, a state in southern Mexico known for its large indigenous population. But, what is even worse about this is that the pedophile priest was infected with HIV.

The decision of forgiving the priest comes in the light of an announcement by Pope Francis that the church would aim to be “more merciful” by reducing penalties for pedophile priests Twisted Evil . Their way of doing this is by relocating the priests to a different church and offering them support rather than punishing them.

Sadly, this in no way make the church more merciful! This priest is a criminal and should prosecuted to the fullest extent.

According to the reports, the mother of one of the victims asked to meet with Pope Francis in Rome to discuss about this case, but she was rebuffed by the Vatican with a letter stating that the matter is closed. Also, neither the State of Mexico or any organization defending the rights of children has spoken about this case, most probably due to the respect that the Catholic Church inspires in indigenous areas.

Forgiven by the Church or not this man needs to be prosecuted for his crimes. Wearing the garb of a priest doesn’t make him above the law. I do not think that even the Church wants a pedophile to “go free”.

Even though the church might have forgiven him but the families of the children never will. So he better be worried when judgement day comes amd has to face the Lord!!

Le Parlement allemand a voté, ce 30 juin 2017, en faveur de l’instauration du mariage homosexuel. Le mariage n’est donc plus, oOutre-Rhin, une institution millénaire considérant le couple comme étant une communauté naturelle entre un homme et une femme en vue de procréer, mais est désormais un lien entre deux individus, quel que soit leur sexe.

Alors que la chancelière chrétienne-démocrate Angela Merkel s’était longtemps opposée à ce changement, une coalition d’élus de divers partis a voté par 393 contre 226 voix en faveur de ce bouleversement suite au fait que, le lundi 26 juin 2017, Angela Merkel avait déclaré qu’elle était favorable à un vote en conscience des députés de son parti, la CDU, sur ce sujet. Les représentants du peuple ont ainsi pu choisir de voter indépendamment de consignes de vote du parti. Certains d’entre eux ont joint leurs voix à celles des sociaux-démocrates du SPD, des écologistes ainsi que des post-communistes de Die Linke.

D’autres sont mécontents de cette prise de position de la chancelière. Ce nouvel élément s’ajoute aux reproches qu’ils lui font en matière de politique de sauvetage de l’euro, d’accueil des réfugiés et d’énergies renouvelables. L’allié social-chrétien bavarois d’Angela Merkel, le ministre-président de Bavière et président de la CSU Horst Seehofer, s’est prononcé contre le mariage pour tous, mais a laissé la possibilité aux députés de son parti de décider en conscience, et certains ont voté en faveur du mariage ouvert aux personnes de même sexe.

Le parti patriotique Alternative pour l’Allemagne (AfD), qui n’est pas représenté au sein du Parlement, s’oppose à ce changement. Il est favorable au fait que les personnes homosexuelles puissent conclure un « partenariat contractuel de vie ». Madame Alice Weidel, qui conduit la campagne du parti en vue des élections législatives du 24 septembre 2017 aux côtés d’Alexander Gauland, vit en partenariat contractuel avec une dame originaire du Sri Lanka qui élève deux enfants. Mais elle différencie ce partenariat homosexuel d’un mariage hétérosexuel.

Cette évolution soudaine de la chancelière Angela Merkel s’explique avant tout par le fait qu’elle désire couper l’herbe sous le pied des sociaux-démocrates qui ne pourront, ainsi, pas en faire un thème de campagne en leur faveur à la veille des élections législatives.

Selon la volonté du Président Donald Trump d'éradiquer la pédophilie, l'opération qui a déjà permis d'arrêter plus de 6.000 pédophiles notoires, se poursuit à Hoolywood avec l'arrestation, de nouveau, de 238 pédophiles faisant partie, en majorité, du milieu des Majors Hoollywoodiennes et des acteurs renommés  !

Le ministère de la Justice vient de mener une série de raids à Los Angeles et a arrêté 238 personnes dans le cadre d'un réseau de pédophilie hollywoodien.

Selon la police, les arrestations comprenaient des "grands acteurs d'Hollywood" ainsi que des politiciens, des cols blancs, un moine et d'autres membres du clergé de haut rang.

Les raids ont été menés par le groupe de travail régional de Los Angeles Regional Internet Crimes contre les enfants, travaillant directement avec le ministère de la Justice.

Appelée "Operation Broken Heart III", les raids radicaux visaient les délinquants recherchés pour l'exploitation sexuelle des enfants, la prostitution des enfants, le tourisme sexuel et possédant et distribuant de la pornographie juvénile, a déclaré le député Matt Blake du département de police de Los Angeles.

La police a déclaré qu'ils ne pouvaient pas libérer de noms à ce stade, mais a confirmé que les personnes arrêtées comprenaient des "noms de ménage" dans l'industrie du divertissement.
L'opération Broken Heart III est censée faire partie d'une opération beaucoup plus importante qui se connecte aux réseaux pédophiles nationaux d'élite et peut s'étendre dans le monde entier.
Parmi les personnes arrêtées, il y avait un politicien australien qui tentait d'acheter un garçon de 6 ans.

Les rapports de LA Times : Parmi les personnes arrêtées pendant les arrestations en avril et mai, se trouvaient des animateurs, des leaders communautaires, des professionnels et des membres du clergé, a déclaré John Reynolds, agent spécial agissant en charge du Département américain des enquêtes sur la sécurité intérieure. " L'incidence de l'exploitation sexuelle des enfants a atteint des proportions étonnantes", a-t-il déclaré lors d'une conférence de presse.

Les responsables de l'application de la loi ont déclaré que les arrestations soulignent l'importance que les familles conservent un dialogue ouvert sur la sécurité sur Internet. "Les parents et les enfants doivent avoir des conversations franches sur la façon de rester en sécurité dans le cyberespace", a déclaré Reynolds.

Les enfants et les adolescents, a-t-il dit, passent plus de temps sur Internet et les sites de médias sociaux, où les prédateurs d'enfants recherchent souvent des victimes.

Le groupe de travail de Los Angeles est l'un des 61 programmes financés par l'ensemble du pays par l'entremise du Bureau de la justice pour mineurs et de la prévention de la délinquance du ministère de la Justice des États-Unis. Créé en 2014, l'opération Broken Heart donne aux forces de l'ordre et aux groupes de travail l'occasion de combiner des ressources et des outils d'enquête pour identifier les prédateurs sexuels chez les enfants.

L'unité Internet Crimes Against Children du département de police de Los Angeles sert environ 300 mandats chaque année à la poursuite de suspects de pornographie juvénile. Dans un immeuble de grande taille à Long Beach, 11 officiers examinent en moyenne 350 cas de pornographie juvénile par mois.

Les enquêteurs utilisent du matériel médico-légal à l'intérieur d'un laboratoire de criminalité mobile nommé "The Beast" pour analyser les disques durs pour toutes les images illicites.

En mai, Michael Quinn, âgé de 33 ans, a voyagé d'Australie à Los Angeles pour conclure un accord pour acheter un garçon de six ans selon le sexe, selon le bureau du procureur américain à Los Angeles.

Les agents secrets ont rencontré Quinn sur un site de réseautage de réseaux sociaux où il a communiqué qu'il voulait «rencontrer un père qui partage son jeune», selon les procureurs.

"Quinn a expliqué à l'agent infiltré qu'il espérait rencontrer" d'autres pervers "aux États-Unis et a finalement accepté de payer un trafiquant humain de 250 $ pour lui fournir un jeune garçon avec qui il pourrait se livrer à des relations sexuelles illicites", selon le procureur des États-Unis Bureau à Los Angeles.

Quinn est allé dans un hôtel à Los Angeles où il avait l'intention de se rencontrer et de faire la fête avec trois autres prédateurs d'enfants et de s'engager dans le sexe avec des garçons, ont annoncé les procureurs.

Au lieu de cela, des agents secrets attendaient à l'intérieur de la chambre d'hôtel.

Après que Quinn ait remis de l'argent à un agent, qui se posait comme un trafiquant de sexe, les autorités chargées de l'application de la loi sont entrés dans la salle et l'ont arrêté, selon les procureurs.

Des semaines plus tard, les autorités de Riverside ont arrêté Kounzong Saebphang, 26 ans, un moine, à son domicile du monastère bouddhiste de Wat Lao à Riverside.

Les autorités enquêtaient sur Saebphang depuis l'année dernière lorsqu'ils ont reçu des informations selon lesquelles il pouvait distribuer de la pornographie juvénile, selon le bureau du procureur de district de Riverside County.

Lorsque des enquêteurs fédéraux ont fouillé le monastère, ils ont trouvé au moins un dispositif numérique contenant de la pornographie juvénile dans ses affaires, selon les procureurs.

Les procureurs ont allégué qu'il a également distribué de la pornographie juvénile à une autre personne par le biais d'un site de médias sociaux.

Le mouvement homosexuel ne cesse de grandir et de s'exposer publiquement dans la majorité des filles de l'Eglise catholique. Les pratiques comme au temps des Borgias n'ont jamais cessé, elles sont simplement cachées au grand public afin qu'il puisse continuer à croire à toutes ses fables et pratiques païennes de la "Sainte" Eglise de Rome. Dieu nous demande-t-il de nous associer à une église en particulier? Non, Dieu nous demande de nous associer à Lui seul et à sa divine Parole, qui nous enseigne comment nous devons vivre et nous comporter en tant que Sa créature. Malgré toute l'apostasie de l'Eglise de Rome, jamais, elle ne réussira à détruire le plan de Dieu.  Le jour vient où elle devra répondre de tous ses actes. Tout ce que présentement elle met en place pour renverser les lois de Dieu, elle devra rendre des comptes au jour du Jugement.

De prétendre que le Pape François serait furieux de ce qui aurait été "découvert", montre bien que l'on tente de protéger la "Sainte" Eglise catholique et de mettre encore une fois, le bon Pape François comme défenseur de la moralité, alors qu'il est tout sauf cela! Combien de fois, depuis le début de son pontificat, ne s'est-il pas tenu debout pour blasphémer Dieu et Son peuple? Fervent défenseur et adorateur de la Vierge Marie, amenant un autre évangile qui garde sous sa coupe des milliers de personnes qui boivent ses paroles comme s'il était Dieu lui-même... Ce qu'ils font dans le secret est abominable et toute la protection et l'immunité qui est apportée à ses prêtres et missionnaires sont de plus en plus évidentes. De croire à cette nouvelle fable est l'oeuvre du diable et des Jésuites, à n'en pas douter. D'aucuns, ils ne réflètent l'Amour vrai que le Christ a pour l'humanité.

Une foule de fidèles rassemblée sur la place Saint Pierre, au Vatican

Alertés par des voisins inquiets, les forces de police du Vatican ont mené un raid dans les appartements d'un cardinal dans lequel des orgies homosexuelles de drogue et de sexe étaient organisées régulièrement... Le pape François serait furieux.

Au mois de juin dernier, la police de la cité du Vatican a mené une opération dans un appartement situé dans l'ancien palais de la Congrégation pour la Doctrine de la Foi (également appelé le Saint-Office), selon des révélations datant de fin juin du quotidien italien Il Fatto Quotidiano.

L'appartement était alors occupé par un prêtre qui travaillait en tant que secrétaire du cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio, le chef du Conseil pontifical pour les textes législatifs et conseiller personnel du pape.

Selon Il Fatto Quotidiano, des voisins inquiets de voir des allées et venues suspectes dans l'appartement ont averti les policiers. Arrivés sur place, ces derniers sont tombés sur une scène peu banale dans les Etats pontificaux : un groupe d'hommes en pleine orgie de drogue et de sexe.

Au terme de cette intervention, le prêtre résidant dans l'appartement a été arrêté et emmené au poste de police pour y subir un interrogatoire.

Selon le quotidien italien, le pape François aurait été particulièrement attristé par cet incident et aurait demandé au cardinal Coccopalmerio de se retirer.

Cette histoire est survenue à peu près au même moment qu'un scandale d'un autre registre, qui avait touché le cardinal George Pell, numéro trois du Vatican et inculpé en Australie pour abus sexuels. Ce dernier a clamé son innocence avant d'annoncer son intention de rentrer en Australie pour se défendre, avec le soutien du Saint-Siège.

Diyanet is the highest religious authority in Turkey and the final authority in interpretation of Islam. It controls the country's 85,000 mosques.
Recently the authority issued a fatwa - an interpretation of Islamic rules - which created intense debate.
To a question from a believer, Diyanet replied that from an Islamic view it had no impact on a marriage "if a father kisses his daughter with lust."
It was also, according to Diyanet, no sin "if the father looks at his daughter and feels lust." The daughter must, however, "be over nine years old."
This fatwa comes shortly after another fatwa from Diyanet, which said that engaged couples should not hold hands, because it could lead to other things, things that are haram (illegal) in Islam. In some countries it could even give grown men a reason to pick up stones and throw them at the couple until they are dead.
Put the two latest fatwas together and it gives a view of sexuality in Islam that is completely unreal and disgusting seen with Western eyes.
"Regrettable error in translations"

The fatwa naturally triggered a storm of outrage online, so much that the page where the fatwa had been was removed. But it is still in circulation, as people have saved it.
Now the head of Diyanet, Mehmet Görmez, tries to fix the scandal and run away from the original fatwa. To the Turkish broadcaster TRT, he says that the dramatic interpretation was due to a regrettable error in translation from Arabic!
The new answer to the question of father and daughter lust now reads, according Diyanet, that incest is a "pathological aberration".
There is only one problem - which everybody (at least in Turkey) knows. The religious experts at Diyanet are perfectly fluent in Arabic. They never make banal translation errors like this, ever. But of course, they had to come up with some lame excuse and this was probably the least lame they could come up with during the urgent cleric brainstorming meeting.

PHILADELPHIA – A lesbian woman who is frustrated by the lack of homosexual-friendly material available in Christian bookstores has created what she describes as “the first LGBT Bible app,” featuring resources that celebrate homosexuality and do not condemn same-sex sexual behavior as being sinful.

“This app is for people who identify as ‘spiritual but not religious,’ progressive Christians who have had premarital sex and don’t care, who are frustrated with purity culture, who are pro-choice, pro-women, and who want to accept and embrace interfaith connections,” Crystal Cheatham told AutoStraddle.com.

Cheatham, who hails from Philadelphia, describes herself as a lesbian Christian. Although she once thought that her same-sex attraction was incompatible with her belief in God, she has since decided to embrace and celebrate her lesbianism.

“I’m black, I’m a lesbian, and I’m tired of feeling like my faith doesn’t matter,” Cheatham said in a press release. “Some think it’s an anomaly that a black lesbian can be a Christian, but there are many out there like me.”

After coming out as a lesbian, Cheatham said she became frustrated by the lack of books and resources available in bookstores for people like her who identify as lesbian Christians. Therefore, she decided to address that by creating a pro-homosexual app called “Our Bible App.”

“Our Bible App is the first LGBT bible app,” the app’s website states. “Creating devotionals for progressive Christians, we uplift believers of ALL stripes.”

“Our Bible App supports the belief that spirituality is a spectrum and that faith is a journey,” it outlines. “At its core, the holy text was written to be inclusive of all of God’s creation especially those on the margins.”

Scheduled for release this Friday, Our Bible App will feature a library of progressive devotionals and a collection of Bible versions that refer to God in gender-neutral terms.

“Through devotionals highlighting pro-LGBT, pro-women and encourage interfaith inclusivity, we hope to provide a tool that is needed to create healthy prayer and meditation habits,” the app website’s claims.

Cheatham says that she hopes her app will help Christians embrace and accept homosexuality.

“There are so many Christians out there that want to be accepting of LGBT people, but don’t know how because they haven’t received the resources,” she told PBS NewsHour.

However, Ken Ham, president of the apologetics ministry Answers in Genesis, says the Our Bible App is “biblically wrong” and misses the point of the gospel.

“[The creators of this app] are ignoring the very heart of the message of Christianity, that we become born again (John 3:3)—become new creatures—and gain a brand-new identity when we turn to Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17)!” Ham wrote in a blog post on Monday.

“These professing believers are trying to find their identity in their sexuality and gender rather than submitting totally to Jesus Christ,” Ham continued. “But we are no longer defined by our sin when we are Christians. We are defined by Christ who lives in us.”

“There should be no such thing as an LGBTQ Christian any more than there should be a drunkard Christian, liar Christian, or adulterer Christian,” he added.

“We are simply Christians, and our identity is not in the sinful desires that we all still have (though Christians are given strength to restrain ourselves [1 Corinthians 10:13]), but in the One who died for our sin and gave us new life (1 Corinthians 6:9–20).”

Une célébration œcuménique a été organisée le 12 juin 2016 en l’église des Prêcheurs (Predigerkirche) de Zurich à l’issue de la Gay Pride. Différentes confessions chrétiennes se sont associées à cette liturgie particulière.

Meinrad Furrer pour l’Eglise catholique, Irene Schwyn pour l’Eglise réformée et Melanie Handschuh pour l’Eglise catholique-chrétienne: trois représentants des Eglises zurichoises ont officié durant la liturgie célébrée en l’église des Prêcheurs, au centre de Zurich, à l’occasion de la Gay Pride 2016. Les bancs de l’église avaient été déplacés afin de permettre une célébration circulaire. Ainsi a été installé “un espace pour une expérience liturgique comme événement communautaire”, a indiqué l’assistant pastoral Meinrad Furrer à kath.ch.

“Tous sont les bienvenus”
L’Eglise méthodiste et un groupe de chrétiens homosexuels, bisexuels et transgenres Zwischenraum (Intervalle) se sont également joints à la cérémonie. “Une telle célébration n’est pas évidente en soi”, a indiqué Meinrad Furrer, également membre du comité d’organisation de Zurich Pride. En ajoutant qu’”au sein des Eglises, tous sont les bienvenus, indépendamment de leur orientation sexuelle ou de leur genre”. Les trois Eglises nationales (catholique romaine, réformée et catholique-chrétienne) ont participé au financement de ce temps liturgique.

Sur le thème de la Gay Pride 2016 “Team for Love” (“Equipe pour l’amour”), la célébration a alterné les moments musicaux et les interventions orales. Les paroles du poète et mystique allemand Angelus Sibelius (1624-1677) ont servi de support aux méditations des trois célébrants. “L’amour est une attitude fondamentale, qui a besoin de confiance et d’ouverture”, a notamment déclaré le représentant catholique Meinrad Furrer. “Ceux à qui la vie ne sourit pas, sont-ils aussi exclus de la communion avec Dieu?”, s’est interrogé de son côté la pasteure Irene Schwyn.

Recueillement après le massacre d’Orlando

Suite à l’attentat islamiste qui a fait au moins 50 morts, le 12 juin 2016, à Orlando, en Floride, les organisateurs de la Gay Pride ont invité à une cérémonie en mémoire des victimes, dans cette même église des Prédicateurs, le soir du lundi 13 juin.

Bishop Robert Cunningham of the diocese of Syracuse, NY stated that priests have been wrongly accused of sexual abuse against young boys for centuries saying that "at 7-years-old, children know what they're doing, so it isn't rape".

Bishop Cunningham made the shocking statements in his testimony, that was recently released, during a deposition in a federal lawsuit for mass child abuse by pedophile priests.

Counter Current News reports: Charles Bailey, a survivor of a priest’s abuse, asked then-Bishop James Moynihan whether the church held children victims partly responsible for sexual abuse by priests.

“(Bishop) Moynihan said that right to my face – ‘The age of reason is 7, so if you’re at least 7 you’re culpable for your actions.’ That kind of floored me,” said Bailey.

Obviously, the sentiment isn’t something one Bishop believes, but a broader excuse used to cover the guilt of sexual predators.

The “age of reason” may be seven years old, but that in no way makes it the “age it’s the kid’s fault he was raped.”

According to church doctrine, seven is the age a child should understand the difference between right and wrong.

It’s also the age a child is eligible for communion.

A spokesman for the diocese has been trying to defend the bishop, saying that his statements in a deposition don’t mean he believes children are responsible for being raped and that it was “unfair to use the deposition to characterize his position otherwise.”

"Unfair" may not quite cut it where this man is concerned.

When pressed on the issue, he said it wasn’t his place to know how much guilt was on the victim’s hands.

The simple answer, “none,” became another distorted version of reality that somehow makes it at least partially a child’s fault when a priest abuses him.

"Well, I mean, without knowing the circumstances completely, did the boy encourage, go along with (it) in any way?" Cunningham asked. 

The lawyer asked Cunningham if he could imagine any circumstance in which a 14 or 15-year-old boy could be held responsible in the eyes of the church when a priest asks him to engage in sex.

"Obviously, what the priest did was wrong," Cunningham said. "You’re asking me if the young man had any culpability, and I can’t judge that."
Actually, you can judge that.

Anyone can judge that.

What happened is priests used their influence and position as "messengers of God" to force children to comply with their perverted sexual desires.

In the very least they were forced to make adult decisions they didn’t have the capacity to make.

This bishop and all the priests he defended with this mindless argument betrayed the trust of the parishioners and especially the children of the Diocese of Syracuse.
Charles Bailey has circulated a petition he intends to present to Pope Francis in Philadelphia during his visit to remove Bishop Cunningham as the head of the church there.

 The Catholic Church has passed the buck on their pedophile priests.

Women priests are being blamed for pedophilia in the Catholic Church due to their ‘feminizing’ of the profession.

Cardinal Raymond Burke said the influx of female priests has discouraged ‘manly’ men from partaking in the profession.

He told the group The New Emangelization that “Young boys don’t want to do things with girls. It’s just natural,” “It requires a certain manly discipline to serve as an altar boy in service at the side of priest, and most priests have their first deep experiences of the liturgy as altar boys.”

“If we are not training young men as altar boys, giving them an experience of serving God in the liturgy, we should not be surprised that vocations have fallen dramatically,”
It should come as no surprise, given the extreme lengths the Church has gone to to cover up the abuse that has gone on at their hands for decades, that they are so ready to blame anyone apart from themselves.

Irish Cardinal Burke also said,

 “There was a period of time when men who were ‘feminized’ and confused about their own sexual identity had entered the priesthood; sadly some of these disordered men sexually abused minors; a terrible tragedy for which the Church mourns.”



Celibacy, Priesthood

One issue closely related to ministerial priesthood is the celibacy imposed by the Catholic Church to those who want to become priests and bishops.  Does the Bible say that bishop is a husband of one wife (1 Timothy 3:2) and that forbidding marriage is the doctrine of the demons (1 Timothy 4:1-3)?  First celibacy of the priests and bishops is neither doctrine nor dogma but a discipline imposed by the Western (or Latin) Catholic Church.  In the Eastern Catholic Church married men can be ordained as priests (Catechism of the Catholic Church # 1580).   The Church also welcomes as married priests, former (married) clergies of Anglican or Episcopal or Lutheran church who converted to Catholicism.   The Church does not and never forbids marriage – married Catholics far outnumber non-married ones, be they bishops, priests, monks, nuns or laity.   The candidates for priesthood are fully aware of celibacy discipline before and during their seminary times – they have ample time to consider whether this vocation is for them or not.   Thus it is celibacy based on voluntary, not a forced one, as stated in1 Timothy 4:3.  Mandatory Celibacy for all members is practised by sects like Cathar in Europe (12th – 13th century) and Shaker in USA.   What happens if a priest decided to get married after being ordained?  The Catholic Church would not stop him either for doing so – he can undergo laicization process to leave priesthood.  http://www.totustuus.com/index.htm is the web site of such priest, now happily married and father of nine children and is still in good standing with the Church.

1 Timothy 3:2 say bishop is to be a husband of one wife – it excludes men who are polygamists, but it does not impose marriage as a necessary condition for a bishop.  If this verse is to be interpreted to mean a bishop must marry, then how about 1 Timothy 3:4 that mentions his children (plural)?  If being married is mandatory, then having children is also mandatory, i.e. those who are childless or have only one child cannot become bishop.  Remember that the apostle Paul himself was celibate – it will make him hypocrite if he made marriage mandatory, something that he himself would not obey.  Does celibacy have biblical support?   In Matthew 19:12 Christ mentioned those who make themselves eunuchs (not married) for the sake of the kingdom of heaven, if they are able to receive it.   While Paul is not against marriage – For it is better to marry than to be aflame with passion (1 Corinthians 7:9), he wished all were as he was (i.e. unmarried, 1 Corinthians 7:7) and told the unmarried and widows to remain single, provided they can exercise self-control (1 Corinthians 7:8).   The unmarried man is anxious about the affairs of the Lord, how to please the Lord; but the married man is anxious about wordly affairs, how to please his wife, and his interests are divided (1 Corinthians 7:32-34) and he who marries his betrothed does well; and he who refrains from marriage will do better (1 Corinthians 7:38).  Being celibate and being married are both gift from God given to each person according to His plan, i.e. not all of us is called for celibacy.   God is not against celibacy – He commanded prophet Jeremiah neither to take a wife nor to have children (Jeremiah 16:1-2).

July 12, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — The U.S. Army is telling women soldiers that they need to accept gender-confused, biological men in their showers, bathrooms, and barracks as part of a controversial policy to build “dignity and respect” for “transgender Soldiers.”

The guidance is part of the Pentagon’s new “transgender inclusion” agenda launched by Obama and gaining ground in the Armed Services. Social conservatives are mounting a counteroffensive to ditch the “trans” program altogether.

President Trump and the Pentagon have sent mixed signals on LGBT issues, with the DoD honoring gay-lesbian-bisexual-transgender “pride” month in June even as Trump himself broke with Obama by not issue a homosexual “pride proclamation.”

In “Vignette 4” of an Army’s PowerPoint guidance, titled, “Policy on the Military Service of Transgender Soldiers Training Module, Tier 3: Units and Soldiers,” issued last September, it states the following regarding a hypothetical “transgender Soldier” who is “transitioning” to a new “gender”:


“Following her transition from male to female (which did not include sex reassignment surgery) and gender marker change in DEERS [the Army’s personnel system – Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System], a transgender Soldier begins using female barracks, bathroom, and shower facilities. Because she did not undergo a surgical change, the Soldier still has male genitalia.”

The pro-transgender lesson then offers the following two points among six “Considerations and Responsibilities” required of Army personnel in such cases:

1-Understand that you may encounter individuals in barracks, bathrooms, or shower facilities with physical characteristics of the opposite sex despite having the same gender marker in DEERS.  

2-All Soldiers should be respectful of the privacy and modesty concerns of others. However, transgender Soldiers are not required or expected to modify or adjust their behavior based on the fact that they do not “match” other Soldiers.  

The Army's "transgender"-affirming documents are startling in the degree to which they: 1) cater to a tiny percentage of “gender-non-conforming” Americans (in 2011, the pro-LGBT Williams Institute estimated that just 0.3 percent of the population, or 700,000 adults, was “transgender”); and 2) risk alienating the privacy and conscience rights of a much larger pool of Army soldiers in the name of providing "dignity and respect" to the severely gender-confused.

The new guidance is fueling calls by conservatives for the Armed Forces to ditch President Obama’s “transgender-inclusive” policy in the military, announced late in his term by then-Defense Secretary Ash Carter. The pro-“transgender” policy, which was never voted on or fully debated in Congress, had been slated to go into full effect July 1, allowing open recruitment of gender-bending people.

Late last month, the Associated Press reported that Defense Secretary James Mattis agreed to postpone full implementation of the Obama “transgender” policy for six month. Mattis reportedly rejected a request by the Army and Navy (which oversees the Marines) to delay it two years.

"After consulting with the service chiefs and secretaries, I have determined that it is necessary to defer the start of accessions for six months," Mattis said in a June 30 memo sent to service chiefs and secretaries. "We will use this additional time to evaluate more carefully the impact of such accessions on readiness and lethality."

AP reported:

“According to officials familiar with the internal discussions, the [military] chiefs believe the extra six months would give the four military services time to gauge if currently serving transgender troops are facing problems and what necessary changes military bases might have to make.

“They said Navy officials were ready to begin enlistment in July but asked for a one-year delay, largely to accommodate a request from the Marine Corps for more time. The Navy secretary also oversees the Marine Corps. The Army and Air Force wanted a two-year delay to further study the issue, they said.

“Already, there are as many as 250 service members who are in the process of transitioning to their preferred genders or who have been approved to formally change gender within the Pentagon's personnel system, according to several defense officials.“

Socialcons: just end the policy

Social conservatives are complaining that Secretary Mattis is too solicitous of the LGBT agenda and that the “transgender” policy should be scrapped entirely rather than “studied” while soldiers are forced to endure morally offensive, politically correct “training” to accommodate gender rebels.

Rep. Vicky Hartzler, R-Missouri, chairwoman of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigation, offered an amendment to the 2018 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to stop the Obama “transgender” military policy, calling it “ill-conceived” and unfair.

“This policy is costly and a threat to our readiness. The deployability of individuals going through the sex transition process is highly problematic, requiring 210 to 238 workdays where a soldier is non-deployable after surgery,” Hartzler said in a June 29 press release. “This recovery time equates to 1.4 million manpower days where transgender personnel cannot deploy and fight our nation’s wars, therefore relying on an already stressed force to pick up the burden.

“It makes no sense to purposely recruit individuals who cannot serve,” she said, noting that people with “lesser physical issues,” such as flat feet, bunions, asthma, and sleep walking, have been denied entrance into the Armed Forces or special military units like JAG (Judge Advocate General’s Corps). “This is a senseless and highly unfair double standard.”

Hartzler honed in on the high cost of “sex-reassignment surgeries” and procedures: “By recruiting and allowing transgender individuals to serve in our military we are subjecting taxpayers to high medical costs, including up to $130,000 per transition surgery, lifetime hormone treatments, and additional surgeries to address the high percentage of individuals who experience complications.”

She said “transgender” surgeries alone could cost U.S. taxpayers $1.35 billion over the next 10 years — money with which the DoD, comparatively, could purchase: “13 F-35's, 14 Super Hornet F-18’s, 2 B-21 long-range strike bombers, 8 KC-46's, all A-10 wing replacements or increased end strength of our troops.”

Popular prime-time Fox News talk show host Tucker Carlson called Obama’s defense secretary a “coward” for going along with the policy admitting gender-confused servicemembers, and implied the current Defense Secretary, Gen. Mattis, should end the program. (Some are reporting that Carlson called Mattis a coward, but it appears he was referencing Obama’s defense chief, not Mattis.)

“You know this is a political sop to an interest group that the administration was afraid of. Nobody called them on it, because everyone was too embarrassed and didn’t want to be called a bigot or something,” Carlson said while debating former Obama speechwriter Patrick Granfield on Friday.

“Shouldn’t every decision make it a more effective fighting force for the sake of the country it protects? This does not do that. It wasn’t made with that question in mind. It was made for other reasons, and that’s why you guys all should have resigned when they made you do this,” Carlson told Granfield, who worked under Ash Carter at DoD.

In an article June 15 calling on Trump to end the Obama “transgender” military experiment, Family Research Council president Tony Perkins said, “With ISIS torching its way across the Middle East, our troops shouldn't be torn between its role securing America and securing the Left's radical social agenda. The administration needs to decide: Does it want an army of cultural guinea pigs or a lethal force defending America? Because the latest crises prove that our military can't — and shouldn't have to — do both.”

Army says men can change gender yet still possess male genitalia

Another PowerPoint slide for the Army’s “transgender” training states that a soldier’s “gender transition” is complete when the individual “has completed the medical care necessary to achieve stability in the preferred gender.”

It states, “The care required to transition is individualized and often does not include surgical treatment.” In other words, a biological, gender-confused male soldier can “transition” to achieve “administrative status” into a “female” soldier while still possessing his male genitalia.

The Army guidance continues:

“Gender Marker Change: Once gender transition is complete and the Soldier’s gender marker in DEERS is changed, the Soldier is expected to adhere to all military standards associated with the Soldier’s gender marker in DEERS and use billeting, bathroom, and shower facilities in accordance with the DEERS gender marker.”

Translation: the same biological male soldier, now identifying as a woman but with his penis intact (and likely brandishing artificial, hormone-induced breasts), would be allowed to shower, bunk and use the restroom with real female soldiers.

That does not sit well with Elaine Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Readiness (CMR).

“The Army Directive orders all personnel to accept transsexuals having a new ‘gender marker’ in bathrooms, showers and other private areas, showing zero concern for the feelings of women exposed to ‘gender pretenders’ taking advantage of the situation,” Donnelly writers in a new CMR special report calling on Trump and the Military to “Revoke Problematic Transgender Policy Directives and Instructions” to the troops.

James Hasson, writing in The Federalist, which first reported on the Army document, writes, “The force-wide presentation sheds quite a bit of light on the implications of the rule change on transgender service members. The policy prioritizes subjective feelings over combat-readiness and inverts military order by placing the needs of individuals over the well-being of their units.”

Under the sub-headline, “Watch My Genitals While I Urinate,” Hasson writes, “The [Army] changes also affect drug-testing procedures. DoD Instruction 1010.16 requires urine specimens to be ‘collected under the direct observation of a designated individual of the same sex as the Service member providing the specimen.’ To be blunt, [natural female] ‘observers’ must watch the urine sample leave the tested soldier’s body and enter the collection cup.”

Like in WW2, it was the same but on one side, they were secretly support homosexuality but they go after the homosexual transgender movement who was the opposite force and kill many of them in city and concentration camps. 

The American Family Association (AFA)  is calling on its millions of followers to support the support the Hartzler Amendment to the NDAA “to put an end to the Obama administration's transgender military mandate.”

In its online letter to Congress, AFA Action states: “Congress needs to pass an amendment that:

“Bans recruitment of people who identify as transgender,
“Secures conscience protections for service members opposed to transgenderism and transitioning efforts, and
“Prevents my tax dollars from being used for sex reassignment surgery and hormone drugs for changing a service member's gender.”

Writes AFA: “Urge your U.S. Representative to vote for Congresswoman Hartzler's amendment to put an end to the Obama administration's military transgender mandate or call your U.S. Representative at (202) 224-3121.”
