FLORIDA : UNIVERSITY PROMOTING ISLAM ON EVE OF 9/11... WITH FEDERAL FUNDING

Jerry Gordon at the New English Review has uncovered some more details on the scandalous taxpayer funded Islamic dawah program currently underway at public libraries across the United States.

Here are the key takeaways we hadn’t presented in our previous posts on this notorious program:
  • It reaches 953 institutions, more than the 800 libraries we noted
  • It is being sponsored on college campuses by Muslim Brotherhood organizations – namely the MSA
  • It includes books by U.S. Muslim Brotherhood members
  • Libraries are promoting the Muslim dawah on the eve of 9/11
via National Endowment for Humanities Funds American Muslim Awareness Program.

This weekend I received an email from an adjunct faculty member of the University of West Florida (UWF) that  contained an invitation to attend a reception for nationwide program called Bridging Cultures: Muslim Journeys. It is a so-called book shelf program funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and supported by the American Library Association.

The UWF Libraries announcement that came in the email extolled the contents and local sponsors of the bookshelf and films:

Please join the UWF Libraries at an opening reception for The collection of 25 books and 3 films aimed at familiarizing public audiences with the people, places, history, faith and cultures of Muslims in the United States and around the world. Scholar-led book discussions will be held throughout the academic year, sponsored by the UWF Libraries, UWF Bangladeshi Student Association, UWF Muslim Student Association and the Islamic Center of Northwest Florida.

Further information at the UWF libraries website revealed the national scope and objective of the Muslim Journeys NEH grant program:

The UWF Libraries is one of 953 institutions nationwide awarded this collection.  Additionally, we are one of only 125 institutions (four in Florida alone-see the list of grantees  )to receive a programming grant of approximately $4,500 each to host a Let’s Talk About It  Muslim Journeys  (LTAI:MJ) series, “a scholar-led reading and discussion program designed to foster opportunities for informed community conversations about the histories, faith, and cultures of Muslims around the world and within the United States.”   Our Project Scholar is Dr. Rebecca Williams, Associate Professor of History at the University of South Alabama – and UWF alum!  Dr. Williams’ research specialization is Classical and Medieval Islamic intellectual history, and she teaches multiple courses in Islamic Civilization.  Our Let’s Talk About It series will focus on the books in the Connected Histories theme.

The NEH in its May 22, 2013 release noted the gamut of institutions that received LTAI MJ grants that included “54 public libraries, 47 academic libraries, 11 community college libraries and 13 state humanities councils in 38 states and the District of Columbia.”  Additional support for the LTAI: MJ came from the Carnegie Corporation of New York and the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Arts.



The Bangladeshi Students Association and local chapter of the Muslim Students Association (MSA) are on-campus sponsors of the Muslim Journeys program at UWF.  The UWF MSA chapter is one of 600 established by the Muslim Brotherhood at college and universities throughout America and Canada.



One of the books in the St. Norbert lecture series is THE STORY OF THE QUR’AN: ITS HISTORY AND PLACE IN MUSLIM LIFE by former Islamic Society of North America President, Dr. Ingrid Mattson. Mattson, a Canadian convert who formerly ran the Islamic Studies program at the Hartford (Connecticut) Seminary is now a Professor at an affiliate of the University of Western Ontario in London with a chair endowed by local Muslim Brotherhood affiliates.  You may recall that ISNA was one of several Muslim Brotherhood fronts listed as unindicted co-conspirators in the 2008 Dallas Federal trial and conviction of leaders of the Muslim Charity, the Holy Land  Foundation for funneling upwards of $35 million to Hamas, the MB affiliate in Gaza.



I [Jerry Gordon] will endeavor to find out what is behind this latest federally funded  multicultural  program promoting Islam on the eve of 9/11.


Much more detail at New English Review and hopefully Mr. Gordon will have a follow up on his findings in the coming weeks. Unfortunately, we know whatever he finds does not bode well for most Americans.

QUANT À LA COMMISSION DE LA PROTECTION DE LA VIE PRIVÉE – qu’on devrait rebaptiser, en réalité, Commission de la DESTRUCTION de la vie privée -, ELLE TROUVE QUE CERTAINES APPLICATIONS DE CETTE VIOLATION BIOMÉTRIQUE DES LIBERTÉS SONT ACCEPTABLE (!) lorsque leur recours est « hautement justifié » (ce qui est « hautement justifié » n’étant, bien sûr, pas décrit… on peut se demander si le prétexte bidon consistant à « faciliter la facturation de l’accueil avant et après les cours » constitue, aux yeux de cette Commission aussi inutile qu’incompétente et corrompue, un recours « hautement justifié »… ).

DES DIZAINES D'ÉCOLES BELGES UTILISENT LES EMPREINTES DIGITALES DE LEURS ÉLÈVES POUR LES ENREGISTRER, par exemple pour faciliter la facturation de l'accueil avant et après les cours. "A l'heure actuelle, NOUS AVONS LIVRÉ DES SYSTÈMES À ENTRE 30 ET 40 ÉCOLES", AFFIRME MARDI POL VACK, DE "ISCHOOL & ISCAN" DANS DE MORGEN.


La Commission de la protection de la vie privée estime que le recours aux empreintes digitales n'est ACCEPTABLE que lorsqu'il est hautement justifié.

Pol Valck reconnaît que l'installation de tels systèmes ne se fait pas toujours dans la sérénité. "Il y a quelques mois, des parents ont même soutenu que ces scanners étaient 'traumatisants' pour leurs enfants. J'appelle ça un comportement de soixante-huitards".

A GAND, la question de la protection de la vie privée a poussé à LA SUSPENSION D'UN PROJET-PILOTE. "Pour moi, ça pose la question de savoir dans quel type d'environnement on veut faire grandir nos enfants. Dans un ENVIRONNEMENT DE MÉFIANCE ET CONTRÔLE, ou de confiance et d'engagement?", s'interroge l'échevine de l'Enseignement Elke Decruyenaere (Groen).

Selon De Morgen, LE SYSTÈME NE SERAIT PAS ENCORE TOTALEMENT AU POINT. Une trentaine d'écoles primaires de Louvain ont récemment dû l'enlever en raison de problèmes. De surcroît, CERTAINS ENFANTS TROUVENT LE SCANNER TELLEMENT AMUSANT QU'ILS ONT TENDANCE À L'UTILISER PLUSIEURS FOIS PAR JOUR. LE SYSTÈME SERAIT EN OUTRE DÉFAILLANT LORSQU'IL FAIT FROID.

L’U.E., de plus en plus contestée et critiquée, s’est abaissée et avilie jusqu’au point où ses représentants organisent à présent des CAMPAGNES DE « SENSIBILISATION » (COMPRENEZ CAMPAGNES D’ENDOCTRINEMENT) DES JEUNES AFIN DE CONTINUER DE FAIRE À LA POPULATION EN LA FABLE D’UNE UNION EUROPÉENNE DÉMOCRATE, FORTE etc.

NOUS APPRENONS DANS CE QUI SUIT QUE L’IMMONDE VIVIANE REDING (vice-président de la Commission européenne NON-ELUE) A PARTICIPÉ À NAMUR EN TANT QU’INVITÉE-VEDETTE À UN « DIALOGUE CITOYEN » (COMPRENEZ « ENDOCTRINEMENT TOTALITAIRE » ) AVEC 300 JEUNES ÂGÉS DE 16 À 18 ANS, SUR LES THÈMES DE LA CRISE EUROPÉENNE, DE L'AVENIR DE L'UNION ET DES DROITS DES CITOYENS …


Cette sensibilisation, bien sûr, n’est que de la publicité, de la propagande, bref un endoctrinement effectué auprès de la génération du futur ! Quant au « débat », il y a fort à parier que Reding a passé le plus clair du temps à parler, présentant le point de vue de l’U.E. et répondant éventuellement à quelques questions faciles et naïves. On peut difficilement appeler cela un « dialogue », et encore moins un « débat »


Je suis tout à fait certain que Viviane Reding :


-     a « oublié » de parler de la façon dont la structure juridique de l’U.E. a été constituée par un ancien juge nazi et hitlérien nommé Walter Hallstein (cf. http://www.relay-of-life.org/fr/chapter.html  ),

-    a passé sous silence les innombrables conflits d’intérêt de l’U.E. avec les multinationales de différents secteurs industriels,

-    n’a pas mentionné la façon inique et abjecte dont l’U.E. oppresse les pays en crise économique via des mesures d’austérité et de vol organisé des citoyens, mesures qui favorisent les banquiers flambeurs et criminels qui ont pourtant créé cette crise,  

-    a « omis » de signaler que dans cette si belle « démocratie » (démon-cratie ?) européenne, les Commissaires européens, dont elle fait partie, n’ont pas été élus par le peuple,

-    n’a pas signalé les pertes de souverainetés nationales ni les diktats fascistes initiés par l’U.E.

-    n’a rien dit concernant le fait que l’U.E. est à présent en train de vendre l’Europe aux USA (accord, de libre-échange U.E./U.S.A., bloc euro-atlantique etc.), avec toutes les conséquences néfastes que cela peut entraîner.


MAIS ELLE A MENÉ SA CAMPAGNE DE PROPAGANDE, ET CELA A HÉLAS PORTÉ SES FRUITS, PUISQUE LE RÉSULTAT, C’EST QUE 68% DES JEUNES PRÉSENTS SE SONT PRONONCÉS… POUR LA CRÉATION D’UNE UNION POLITIQUE AFIN DE RENFORCER L’U.E. (CES VONT DONC, SANS AUCUN DOUTE, PARTICIPER DE FAÇON IMBÉCILE AU RENFORCEMENT DU TOTALITARISME EUROPÉEN) !

REDING A AUSSI RÉUSSI LE PARI D’INTÉRESSER LES JEUNES AUX MÉTIERS DES NOUVELLES TECHNOLOGIES
(et nous savons ce que ces nouvelles technologies cachent : puces implantables, interfaces cerveau/machine, interfaces de cerveau à cerveau, vaccinations toxiques, transhumanisme, chimérisation génétique,  recherches sur l’embryon humain, euthanasie, contrôle biologique total de l’individu etc.).

Cette initiative était encouragée par un lamentable politicard belge (= larbin européiste et mondialiste) : le ministre-président wallon, Rudy Demotte !

VOICI DONC UNE NOUVELLE GÉNÉRATION DE JEUNES FORMATÉE ET PRÊTE À CROIRE, SANS LE MOINDRE ESPRIT CRITIQUE, AUX PSEUDO-VERTUS DE L’U.E. ! C’EST DÉSORMAIS CERTAIN : LES GENS APPRÉCIENT DE SE FAIRE TROMPER PAR L’ÉLITE !

LA COMMISSION EUROPÉENNE À NAMUR POUR DIALOGUER AVEC LES JEUNES

Trois cents jeunes de 16 à 18 ans ont débattu vendredi après-midi à Namur avec la vice-présidente de la Commission européenne Viviane Reding, à l'occasion d'un "dialogue-citoyen" sur la crise européenne, l'avenir de l'Union et les droits des citoyens.



LA COMMISSAIRE À LA JUSTICE LES A DURANT UNE HEURE ET DEMIE SENSIBILISÉS AUX PROBLÉMATIQUES EUROPÉENNES, à huit mois des élections multiples (Europe, législatives et Région) qui sera pour certains d'entre eux le premier scrutin auquel ils participent.

"La Commission n'avait plus été associée depuis des années aux Fêtes de Wallonie. Dans le cadre de l'Année européenne du citoyen, elle a sollicité la présidence du gouvernement wallon", a expliqué Jimmy Jamar, chef de la représentation en Belgique de la Commission européenne.

Une dizaine de dialogues-citoyens avec la Commission sont organisés cette année en Belgique, pour un à deux maximum dans les autres pays. Pour le prochain, LE 17 OCTOBRE, C'EST LE PRÉSIDENT DE LA COMMISSION JOSÉ MANUEL BARROSO QUI EST ATTENDU AU THÉÂTRE DE LIÈGE.

"L'esprit fédéraliste européen des jeunes reste fort. Même s'ils montrent de l'incompréhension, s'ils ne savent pas bien ce qu'est l'Union européenne, ILS SONT DEMANDEURS de plus d'Europe", a estimé le ministre-président wallon Rudy Demotte.

C'EST AINSI QUE 68% DES JEUNES SE SONT PRONONCÉS POUR LA CRÉATION D'UNE UNION POLITIQUE POUR RENFORCER L'UE.

Organisé dans une salle d'un complexe cinématographique à Jambes - "un lieu habituel pour la jeunesse, dont l'ambiance permet plus d'audace d'intervention" selon le MINISTRE-PRÉSIDENT WALLON RUDY DEMOTTE -, le débat concluait la traditionnelle journée "Jeunes" des Fêtes de Wallonie, centrée cette année sur les métiers de la santé.

Certains de ces métiers, particulièrement ceux liés aux TECHNOLOGIES (imagerie médicale, prothésistes par imprimantes 3D, ergothérapie plutôt que kinésithérapie), semblent selon les organisateurs avoir marqué les esprits.

Ce n’est pas sale ! La fellation est une pratique qui demande une certaine maitrise. Pour maitriser cet art, un cours vient de voir le jour en Russie pour former les femmes les moins expertes.

Pour 85 euros, vous pourrez bénéficier d’une formation intensive en fellation. Eh oui mesdames, ça s’apprend aussi ce genre de chose. La pratique de la fellation n’est pas quelque chose d’innée. Les photos nous apprennent également qu’il faut, à priori, frictionner le sexe de l’homme. On se calme mesdames. Enfin, les élèves apprennent également à découvrir leur propre sexe avec l’utilisation d’un vagin en plastique. So glamour ! A quand un tel cours à Paris ? Et comme des images valent mieux qu’un long discours on vous laisse admirer les cours.

A Tennessee high school has decided to revise its field trip policy after a group of freshmen were taken to an Islamic mosque where they were given copies of the Koran and while a student who opted out of the trip was given a worksheet that alleged Muslims treated their conquered people better than the United States treated minorities.

The students were in an honors world studies class at Hendersonville High School and the field trips to the mosque as well as a Hindu temple were part of a three-week course on world religions.

But some parents objected to the trips and wondered why the school would tour a mosque but not a Christian church or a Jewish synagogue.

“If you can’t go to all five, why are you going to any?” asked parent Mike Conner. “We sent the principal an email and voiced our concerns. She sent back a reply and told us they could not afford to go to all five.”

Daily Roll Call reported the students were taken to the Islamic Center of Nashville.

Children were given punch and cookies at the mosque where they listened to readings from the Koran, Conner said. They were also given copies of the Islamic holy book – which some students took and others declined.

During their visit to the Hindu temple, students engaged in meditation.

“Our kids are being indoctrinated and this is being shoved in their face,” Conner told Fox News. “It tells me they are pushing other religions and they want Christianity to take a back seat. They want our children to be tolerant of everything except Christianity.”

A Sumner County Schools spokesman declined to answer questions about specific religious activities the children may have engaged in, but he did send a statement acknowledging there was concern about the trip.

“Our district has reviewed the practice and decided to eliminate field trips to religious venues from this class, as it does not provide equal representation to all the religions studied in the course unit,” the statement read. “This decision was made due to the fact that equal representation in regards to field trips for all religions studied in the course is not feasible.”

Conner told Fox News his 14-year-old stepdaughter Jessica decided not to attend the trip. So her teachers instructed her to write a paper comparing and contrasting the Christian, Hindu and Islamic faiths. That’s when his daughter noticed something strange.

“There was one page on the sayings of Jesus, two-thirds of a page on the sayings of Gandhi, and five pages on Muhammed,” Conner said.

The section about Islam was titled, “Religious Tolerance in Islam,” according to the worksheets provided to Fox News.

The author wrote that the “Prophet of Islam was prepared to live in peace with the followers of other monotheistic religions, especially Judaism and Christianity.”

The author also disputed claims that Islam is a violent religion or that conquered nations were given a choice – Islam or death.

“There is no denying that Muslims in the Middle East and Asian conquered lands of other peoples but they did not impose their religion over them,” the author wrote.

The author also stated that minorities conquered by the Muslims were treated better than minorities living in the United States.

“If we were to compare the attitude of the Muslim rulers towards the minorities living under their rule during the nineteenth century – with the attitude of the Europeans and the Americans towards their minorities, I dare to say that the record of the Muslims would be better,” the author wrote.

Conner told Fox News his daughter declined to complete what she considered to be an unfair and unbalanced assignment.

“Because of a surplus in information on Muhammed, and a lack of complete and thorough information on Mahatma Gandhi and Jesus Christ, there is not enough true facts to properly complete a comparison and contrasting paper,” Jessica wrote on her paper.

Her parents warned her that she might be punished by her teachers for standing up for her beliefs – and she was. Jessica received a ‘zero’ for the assignment.

Conner and his wife met with school officials who refused to change their daughter’s grade or give her an assignment that was more balanced.

“They told us we were being hostile towards Islam,” Conner said. “It was a very confrontational meeting. Their attitude was, ‘I can’t believe you would question our motives with your children.’”

Conner said he hopes the school board will take action against the teachers.

“Someone needs to be held accountable,” he said. “They are our children – not theirs.”

Islamic schools in Britain are forcing girls as young as 11 to wear burkas or full-face veils as part of their school uniform.

The Madani Girls’ School in Tower Hamlets, East London, requires all pupils to wear a black burka and a long a black coat outside the school. It also tells girls to wear headscarves during lessons and says its strict uniform policy is the “desired dress code of a Muslim female”.

The moment I knew internet pornography had cast its dark shadow over the lives of millions of ordinary British teenagers will live with me for ever.

I was sitting in the smart drama hall of a specialist sports college in the North of England with a fantastic reputation.

Before me were a group of 20 boys and girls, aged 13-14. Largely white, working class children, they were well turned-out, polite, giggly and shy.

As the presenter of a Channel 4 documentary called Porn On The Brain, airing next Monday at 10pm, I'd been invited to sit in on a forward-thinking class led by sex education consultant Jonny Hunt, who is regularly asked into schools to discuss sex and relationships. To establish what these kids knew about sex - including pornography - he had asked the children to write an A-Z list of the sexual terms they knew, no matter how extreme.

Most of these children had just hit puberty and some were clearly still children: wide-eyed, nervous, with high-pitched voices. 

Some of the girls were beginning their first forays into make-up. Several wore braces on their teeth. Everybody was smartly turned out in school uniform, and the most anti-authority statement in the room was a tie worn deliberately short. A One Direction pencil case lay on a desk. These were clearly good children, from good homes. So far, so very, very ordinary.

But when Jonny pinned their lists on the board, it turned out that the children's extensive knowledge of porn terms was not only startling, it superseded that of every adult in the room - including the sex education consultant himself.


Martin was shocked by what the teenagers said

'Nugget, what's that?' asked Jonny.

'A nugget is a girl who has no arms or legs and has sex in a porno movie,' chortled one young, pimply boy, to an outburst of embarrassed laughter from some, and outright revulsion from others.

The adults in attendance were incredulous at the thought that not only did this kind of porn exist, but that a 14-year-old boy may have actually watched it.

But the more mundane answers were just as shocking. For example, the first word every single boy and girl in the group put on their list was 'anal'.

When questioned, they had all - every child in a class of 20 - seen sodomy acted out in porn videos. I was stunned they even knew about it - I certainly hadn't heard of it at that age - let alone had watched it and as a result may even have wanted to try it.

One 15-year-old girl said, 'Boys expect porn sex in real life'. And one boy - to choruses of approval - spoke of his revulsion for pubic hair, which he called a 'gorilla'.

When Jonny pointed out that pubic hair was normal in real life, the boys scoffed, but some of the girls were angry that the boys' template of what to expect from real girls had clearly already been set by porn.

By the end of the hour-long class - and three others that followed with other children - I was profoundly saddened by what I had witnessed. While teenage boys will always be fascinated by, and curious about, sex, what's now considered 'normal' by under-18s is an entirely distorted view of intercourse and the way relationships should be conducted.

It seemed as if the children's entire expectation of sex had been defined by what they see in online porn. The conversation was horrifying enough, yet there was worse to come.

In the playground, I interviewed a brave group of seven bright boys and girls aged 14-15 to ascertain in more detail what online porn they had witnessed.

One boy calmly recalled watching a scene too graphic to describe in a family newspaper, but which had involved an animal.

'You're watching bestiality?' I asked. 'That's illegal. Where are you getting this stuff from?'

'Facebook,' the boy said. 'It just pops up whether you want it or not, sometimes via advertisements. You don't have any control over it.'

A girl added, 'On Facebook, you just scroll down and it's there. If any of your friends like it, it comes up on your home page.'

These kids were balanced, smart and savvy. They were the most academically gifted and sporting in the school. They came from ordinary, hard-working households. This was not 'Broken Britain'.

Some were clearly shocked by what they had seen on the internet.

'I find it dirty and disturbing,' said one 15-year-old boy. 'I try not to look at it, but people just keep sending it to each other. They email disgusting links to each other's mobile phones to shock.'

One girl put her head in her hands and said, 'It's just gross'.


It's horrifying enough for parents to know that children can get porn via the internet. But to think they get it from Facebook - the social media currency that has become a universal must-have for teenagers globally - will strike terror into their hearts.

I asked the teenagers: 'On a scale of one to ten, how likely would you say it is that boys and girls your age are watching porn online?'
The reply was a chorus of tens, nines and one eight.

When I asked the children if there were parental controls on the internet at home, they all said no, their parents trusted them. They all admitted their parents had no idea what they were watching, and would be shocked if they did know.

What I saw at the school was awful, but sadly not unusual.

The findings were backed up in a survey of 80 boys and girls aged 12-16, commissioned for the TV show.

It proves the vast majority of UK teens have seen sexual imagery online, or pornographic films.

According to the survey, the boys appear largely happy about watching porn - and were twice as likely as girls to do so - but the girls are significantly more confused, angry and frightened by online sexual imagery. The more they see, the stronger they feel.

But what impact is this steady diet of online depravity having on the attitudes of boys and girls towards real life relationships, and on their self-esteem?

Could it even have a wider impact on their lives, blighting their ability to function in the world, get good qualifications and jobs?

What I discovered left me truly shocked and saddened.

He wanted to know how to protect his son

You might be surprised. After all, from 2003-2010 I edited lad's magazine Loaded.

With its frequent nudity and lewd photo spreads, I'd long been accused of being a soft pornographer, and after leaving Loaded I agonised that my magazine may have switched a generation onto more explicit online porn.

In the documentary I set out on a journey to answer the question: is porn harmless, or is it damaging lives?

My interest was deeply personal, too, as my own beautiful little boy, Sonny, is now four. Even though he has only just started primary school, the Children's Commissioner estimates boys as young as ten are now being exposed to online porn.

I wanted to know what I could do to protect my own son from a seemingly inevitable exposure to hardcore material in just a few years' time.

I used to be sceptical that porn was as damaging a force as the headlines and David Cameron - who recently said it was 'corroding childhood' - suggest. In the past I'd even defended pornography in university debates, on TV and on radio. I claimed it was our freedom of choice to watch it and said it could actually help add to adult relationships.

But what I saw during the making of the film changed my opinion of pornography forever.

The true stories of boys I met whose lives had been totally taken over by porn not only moved me to tears but also made me incredibly angry that this is happening to our children.
And the looks of revulsion on those poor girl's faces in the playground enraged me.

I feel as if an entire generation's sexuality has been hijacked by grotesque online porn.

To find out what porn is doing to young men, and the girls they have relationships with, we spoke to them via online forums and discovered that there were many young lives seriously blighted by an excessive, unhealthy relationship with pornography that can begin when they are as young as 12.

We learned that some had lost their jobs, others had broken relationships, failed exams, or got into serious debt through using porn.

'When you interview young women about their experiences of sex, you see an increased level of violence: rough, violent sex. That is directly because of porn, as young boys are getting their sexual cues from men in porn who are acting as if they're sexual psychopaths'

Take the 19-year-old man I got to know. He was handsome, articulate and in full-time employment as an apprentice electrician. But his life was dominated by his porn habit.
'Every bit of spare time I have is spent watching porn,' he says. 'It is extreme. I can't hold down a relationship for longer than three weeks. I want porn sex with real girls, but sex with them just isn't as good as the porn.'

Having established, like the recent Children's Commissioner report, that 'basically, porn is everywhere', we set out to discover what all this porn was doing to their brains.

Was it having any effect at all? Could it be addictive?

We found Dr Valerie Voon, a neuroscientist at Cambridge University and a global authority on addiction.

Then, in the first study of its kind, we recruited 19 heavy porn users who felt their habit was out of control and had Dr Voon examine their brain activity as they watched, among other things, hardcore porn.

She showed them a variety of images, both stills and videos.

These ranged from images known to excite all men, such as bundles of £50 notes and extreme sports in action, to mundane landscapes and wallpapers - all inter-spliced with hardcore porn videos, plus pictures of both clothed and naked women.

The ways in which their brains responded to this diverse imagery were compared with the responses of a group of healthy volunteers.

She was interested in a particular brain region called the ventral striatum - the 'reward centre' - where our sense of pleasure is produced. This is one of the areas where an addict will show a heightened response to visual representations of their addiction - whether it's a syringe or a bottle of vodka.

What we discovered was a revelation. When shown porn, the reward centre of normal volunteers barely reacted, but that of the compulsive porn users lit up like a Christmas tree.

The compulsive porn users' brains showed clear parallels with those with substance addictions.

Everybody on the project was astounded, even Dr Voon, who admitted she had been 'sceptical and ambivalent' about the study at the outset.


If porn does have the insidious power to be addictive, then letting our children consume it freely via the internet is like leaving heroin lying around the house, or handing out vodka at the school gates.

And this toxic effect is filtering down directly into young girls' lives.


The most shocking testament came from Professor Gail Dines. Regarded as the world's leading anti-pornography campaigner, she has interviewed thousands of men and women about sex and pornography.

'When you interview young women about their experiences of sex, you see an increased level of violence: rough, violent sex,' she says.

'That is directly because of porn, as young boys are getting their sexual cues from men in porn who are acting as if they're sexual psychopaths.

'Pornography is sexually traumatising an entire generation of boys.'

By talking with sexual addiction experts such as Professor John E Grant of the University of Chicago, Dr Paula Hall, the UK's top sex addiction therapist, and Professor Matt Field from the University of Liverpool, we learned that the teenage brain is especially vulnerable to addiction.

The brain's reward centre is fully developed by the time we're teenagers, but the part of the brain that regulates our urges - the pre-frontal cortex - isn't fully developed until our mid-20s. The brains of teenagers are not wired to say 'stop', they are wired to want more. The implications of this study are profoundly troubling.

So who is going to take on the responsibility for protecting our children until they are old enough to do it for themselves?

Can we rely on schools? It strikes me that the current sex education system in the UK - where schools are obliged only to teach the basics of reproduction and the perils of sex, which they can opt out of anyway - is hopelessly outdated.

In the internet age, our children are turning to online porn for an alternative sex education - the worst place they can go.

The Mail claimed a victory in July when David Cameron announced that by the end of 2014 all 19 million UK homes currently connected to the internet will be contacted by service providers and told they must say whether family friendly filters that block all porn sites should be switched on or off.

But our TV show proved that determined children will always find a way around online blocks.

Ultimately, the responsibility lies with us, the parents. The age of innocence is over.

Like many parents, I fear that my boy's childhood could be taken away by pornography. So we have to fight back.

We need to get tech-savvy, and as toe-curling as it seems, we are the first generation that will have to talk to our children about porn.

We have to tell our kids that pornographic sex is fake and real sex is about love, not lust.

By talking to them, they stand a chance. If we stick our head in the sand, we are fooling only ourselves.

October 11, 2013 (WND) - So much for the left’s “consenting adults” rhetoric on sex. Forever the consummate conservationists, our self-described “progressive” friends at the ACLU, MSNBC and elsewhere have been ramping-up efforts to downsize from “consenting adults” to merely “consenting” – a far less cumbersome qualifier in the noble struggle for unrestrained sexual license.

Tolerating “intergenerational romance” for “minor-attracted” adults is all the rage these days.

Ever hear of Kaitlyn Hunt? Over the past year or so this poor, misunderstood lesbian woman’s “anti-gay persecution” has become a cause célèbre among “gay rights” activists and other left-wing purveyors of perversion.

Despite mass rallies and online petitions signed by hundreds-of-thousands of the uber-”tolerant,” the clearly “homophobic” Florida criminal justice system has, nonetheless, convicted Ms. Hunt of multiple felonies for sexually assaulting – repeatedly – a 14-year-old girl.

Puritans.

Oh, sure, her minor victim allegedly “consented” to what the “Free Kate” crowd has portrayed as a harmless tryst – but, of course, by law children below the age of consent cannot consent to sex with adults. Period.

Still, the “progressive” establishment evidently felt that, for whatever reason, this was their hill to die on – this was the case that might help them realize the historical “gay rights” goal of rolling-back most, if not all, age of consent laws – statutes designed to protect children from adult sexual predators like, well, Kate.

Veteran journalist Robert Stacy McCain has covered the Hunt case extensively. In a recent piece for the American Spectator headlined “Kaitlyn Hunt is guilty and, yes, there is a movement to ‘normalize pedophilia,’” McCain writes: “Kaitlyn Hunt is a criminal. We can state that as a Neutral Objective Fact, now that the 19-year-old former cheerleader has pleaded ‘no contest’ to multiple felonies related to her sexual affair with a minor. What remains is the question of what her plea in a Florida courtroom Thursday means for what Rush Limbaugh has called the movement to ‘normalize pedophilia.”‘

Here’s the answer: There is no question. There is categorically a movement to normalize pedophilia. I’ve witnessed it firsthand and, despite “progressive” protestations to the contrary, the “pedophile rights” movement is inexorably linked to the so-called “gay rights” movement.

Two years ago I – along with the venerable child advocate Dr. Judith Reisman – attended a Maryland conference hosted by the pedophile group B4U-ACT. Around 50 individuals were in attendance, including a number of admitted pedophiles (or “minor-attracted persons,” as they euphemistically prefer).

Also present were a few self-described “gay activists” and several supportive mental-health professionals. World renowned “sexologist” Dr. Fred Berlin of Johns Hopkins University gave the keynote address, opening with: “I want to completely support the goal of B4U-ACT.”

Here are some highlights from the conference:

  • Pedophiles are “unfairly stigmatized and demonized” by society.“We are not required to interfere with or inhibit our child’s sexuality.”“
  • Children are not inherently unable to consent” to sex with an adult.
  • An adult’s desire to have sex with children is “normative.”
  • “These things are not black and white; there are various shades of gray.”
  • A consensus belief by both speakers and pedophiles in attendance was that, because it vilifies MAPs, pedophilia should be removed as a mental disorder from the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, or DSM, in the same manner homosexuality was removed in 1973.
  • Dr. Fred Berlin acknowledged that it was political activism, similar to the incremental strategy witnessed at the conference, rather than a scientific calculus that successfully led to the declassification of homosexuality as a mental disorder: The reason “homosexuality was taken out of DSM is that people didn’t want the government in the bedroom,” he said.
  • The DSM ignores that pedophiles “have feelings of love and romance for children” in the same way adults love one another.
  • The DSM should “focus on the needs” of the pedophile, and should have “a minimal focus on social control,” rather than obsessing about the “need to protect children.”
  • Self-described “gay activist” and speaker Jacob Breslow said that children can properly be “the object of our attraction.” He further objectified children, suggesting that pedophiles needn’t gain consent from a child to have sex with “it” any more than we need consent from a shoe to wear it. He then used graphic, slang language to favorably describe the act of climaxing (ejaculating) “on or with” a child. No one in attendance objected to this explicit depiction of child sexual assault. There was even laughter.

You may think that such abject evil simply represents the fringe of today’s sexual “progressivism.” It doesn’t. It represents the honest.

Consider, for instance, that during Obama’s first term, the official website for the Department of Health and Human Services linked to “parenting tips” that referenced children as “sexual beings” and suggested that they should experiment with homosexuality and masturbation.

You may also recall that Mr. Obama appointed Kevin Jennings, founder of the “Gay Lesbian and Straight Education Network,” or GLSEN, to the post of “safe schools czar.”

The position is now defunct, ostensibly due to national outrage over Jennings’ appointment.

In keeping with the thinly veiled goals of B4U-ACT, GLSEN seems to be “running interference” for pedophiles, having tacitly advocated adult-child sex through its “recommended reading list” for kids.

This of no surprise when you consider that one of Jennings’ ideological heroes was Harry Hay, the “founding father” of homosexual activism. “One of the people that’s always inspired me is Harry Hay,” he has said glowingly.

Was Harry Hay fringe? No, not among “gay” activists. He’s an icon. Again, he was just honest. In 1983, while addressing the pedophile North American Man/Boy Love Association, or NAM/BLA, Hay said the following:

“It seems to me that in the gay community the people who should be running interference for NAM/BLA are the parents and friends of gays. Because if the parents and friends of gays are truly friends of gays, they would know from their gay kids that the relationship with an older man is precisely what 13-, 14-, and 15-year-old kids need more than anything else in the world. And they would be welcoming this, and welcoming the opportunity for young gay kids to have the kind of experience that they would need.”

If he were alive today, Harry Hay would likely have led the movement to “free Kate.”

And by “free Kate,” he would have meant – and they actually mean – “free us.”

And by “free us,” of course, what they really mean is “free children.”

A public university reportedly hosted a workshop on Tuesday aimed at teaching students how to pleasure themselves using various sex toys.

College news website Campus Reform uploaded a video to YouTube on Friday showing Jessica “VonDyke,” owner of a Washington D.C. sex shop, instructing University of Maryland students on campus about a number of explicit topics.

“It’s also good for prostate play, you can put it in people’s butts,” VonDyke told students, holding what Campus Reform described as “a large sterling silver object.”

“Items like this, which are actually kind of like art pieces, like you could totally leave this out on the coffee table when your mom comes over and she would never know,” she said.

VonDyke told students that some sex toys are “actually kind of like art pieces” that could be left “out on the coffee table when your mom comes over.”

About 50 students attended the event, the college news outlet reported, and school officials did not appear to verify the age of attendees despite the fact that some students at the school are under the age of 18.

A spokesperson for UMD was not immediately available for comment to TheBlaze on Saturday morning.

(JNS.org) A new advertising campaign in Boston-area newspapers calls out officials in the public school system of Newton, Mass., over the alleged presence of anti-Israel materials in those schools.

The Boston-based nonprofit Americans for Peace and Tolerance (APT) took out the ads in the Boston Globe, Boston Herald, Newton Tab, Boston Metro, and Jewish Advocate. The ads cover research by concerned parents and students that has revealed the presence of anti-Israel texts in Newton schools including “The Arab World Studies Notebook,” which claims that Israeli soldiers murdered hundreds of Palestinian nurses in Israeli prisons; “A Muslim Primer,” which claims that astronaut Neil Armstrong converted to Islam, but that the anti-Muslim U.S. government warned him “to keep his new religion to himself or he could be fired” from his government job; “Flashpoints: Guide to World History,” which asserts that Tel Aviv, not Jerusalem, is the capital of Israel, and that Jerusalem is the capital of “Palestine”; and other materials.

Newton School Superintendent David Fleischman “tried to charge the taxpayers $1,600” for a list of the anti-Israel teaching materials, while Newton School Committee Chair Matt Hills “told staff not to let citizens see the offending materials,” according to the ads. Fleischman and Hills both did not immediately return requests from comment from JNS.org.

Charles Jacobs, the head of APT, told JNS.org that the ads are “getting enthusiastic response” in the form of calls to his organization and letters to Setti Warren, the mayor of Newton. Warren’s office did not immediately return a request for comment. Jacobs added that since the ads’ have circulated, parents have sent APT more materials on texts appearing in Newton schools, and that APT is considering another ad campaign based on those materials.

Right off the bat, the CAIR spokesIslamist lies to Sean Hannity when he says Muslims comprise 13 – 14% of the school population. Apparently, both NYC Mayoral candidates have swallowed the Koolaid, as well.



At least “13-14 percent” of New York City public school students are Muslim? Let’s see, the 2010 US Census and the Pew Research Center put the Muslim population of the U.S. at approx. 2.3 million, less than 1%,

So why would the percentage of Muslims in New York City public schools be so much higher that the percentage of the entire Muslim population in the U.S.? If you take the most exaggerated figure that CAIR likes to promote, – 7 million  Muslims in the U.S – that’s still only a little over 2%.

The question should be why is Sean Hannity giving airtime to a representative CAIR, an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest Muslim terrorist financing case in America? The Department of Justice has ordered the FBI to cut all ties with CAIR, a Muslim Brotherhood front group with ties to Hamas and al-Qaeda.

Amman, Jordan - The world is painfully aware of the horrific suffering in Syria and yet unable to find a way to end it. This UPF gathering was originally called as a small consultation, designed to facilitate in-depth discussion; it quickly doubled in size, eventually numbering more than 40 participants. This initial report takes a thematic approach, highlighting its strengths and special characteristics, which might be summarized as its diversity and the interdisciplinary approach; regional and international perspectives; religious/spiritual perspectives; NGO perspectives, and the points emphasized in the declaration. 

Diversity

“We lived in harmony for centuries, and then the West came and brought division. We also suffer from that… You’re faced with a choice: do you encounter diabolically, or do you choose to dialogue?” Probably the scholars, diplomats, religious and government leaders gathered in Amman did not expect to be listening to the words of a Hindu spiritual leader from Vrindaban, India. Yet, as Dr. Shrivatsa Goswami, Acharya of Sri Radharamana Temple, pointed out, India is now home to the second largest Muslim population in the world. At a conference where so many from the Middle East expressed dismay at the damaging effects of western intervention, such words provided both perspective and encouragement.



















 
The participants came from 19 different countries; they were Arab and Kurd; Sunni and Shia Muslim; Catholic, Orthodox (Copt and Syrian) and Protestant Christians; Jewish, Hindu and Mandean; they included an advisor to Russian President Vladimir Putin, a former minister of defense of Austria, the honorary president of Belgium’s senate, a former ambassador of the Arab League, a former member of the Syrian parliament, a former minister of foreign affairs, economy and information from Jordan, specialists in geopolitics, veterans in interfaith and advocates of education and women’s rights. The presence of both religious and spiritual leaders, on the one hand, with academics, geopolitical experts, diplomats and NGO activists, on the other hand, created a very rich foundation for in-depth discussion that was grounded not only in the realm of religious ideas but also in historical realities of our very complex world.

One aspect of the diversity was the perception of the situation at various levels. Dr. Darrol Bryant, director of the Center for Dialogue and Spirituality in the World Religions at the University of Waterloo in Canada, expressed appreciation for “access to people from the region who can speak about what’s going on there.” Many commented that the crisis in Syria will only be solved if it is tackled at all levels: local, regional and global. We heard a Syrian accuse Russia of blocking the UN, and we heard an insightful Russian perspective. We heard Belgian and Russian and Syrian and Palestinian and Lebanese views on the fighters pouring into Syria. Dr. Hussein Hassouna from Egypt, former Ambassador of the Arab League to the US and the UN, told us: “The Syrian problem is an Arab one. It has to be solved by Syrians, with the Arabs, with international help.”

Even as we heard differing religious perspectives and widely differing political ones, we also heard religion and government speaking to each other. Rev. Dr. Marcus Braybrooke, President of the World Congress of Faiths, asked how the UN can be more effective in preventing genocide, examining how the international community enforces international law, and citing proposals from former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and the Dalai Lama. Dr. Thomas Walsh, President of UPF, looked at the resurgence of religion, noting the success of the Westphalian system in finding a nation-state solution to end wars of religion (rooted less in altruism than in a revulsion for the horror of war), but asking if the increasing acceptance of religion as factor in global affairs might not indicate that it is now time for religion to engage in a more constructive and dynamic way. Hon. Aslambek Aslakhanov, former member of the Russian Senate, explained that a corrupt system in mosques (all jobs went to close relatives) provided an easy recruiting ground for extremists.

Dr. Werner Fasslabend, former minister of defense of Austria, discussing how to build up civil society in such places as Syria, made it clear that religions will be the key to a functioning system: “They have the authority and the influence.” Prof. Emmanuel Dupuy, a geopolitical expert and interfaith consultant from France, pointed out that in government today people are linking faith and decision-making. Shrivatsa Goswami reminded us of Mahatma Gandhi’s words, “there is no department of life which can be divorced from religion,” adding that keeping religious institutions out of the UN is “like trying to keep the electricity away from the appliances.”


The atmosphere of dialogue that prevailed was in large part due to the substantial interfaith presence. One participant described it as a “tent of love,” while another told me, “You created a laboratory for dialogue!” One ambassador stated, “The merit of this meeting is that it opens minds.” The same ambassador, looking forward to Geneva II (a proposed UN-backed peace conference to take place in Geneva in late 2013 with the aim of stopping the Syrian civil war and organizing a transition period and post-war reconstruction), said: “We need to create the right climate to reach peace and reconciliation.” There was a sense that, at least to some extent, this was the function of our conference.

Regional perspectives

Everyone spoke of the tragic destruction and bloodshed in Syria, all aware of the danger that it may spread as an escalating conflict throughout the region. H.E. Faisal El Fayez, former prime minister of Jordan, in the conference patron’s address read on his behalf, mentioned that the conflict started with a desire for freedom and dignity, but is now a regional conflict fed by different parties. It is important to find a consensus between regional and world powers, to respond to the ambitions of Syrians and preserve their unity, to move to a transitional period leading to an election with all participating and to guarantee the rights of all minorities. He added that, if we are to face extremism, we must find a just solution to the Palestinian problem, which otherwise feeds tensions and the spread of terrorism.

Many from the region disapprove of the term “Arab Spring,” having witnessed the chaos that has resulted in many countries in the region. The Rt. Rev. Riah Abo El-Assal, former Anglican bishop of Jerusalem, said it was more of a “bloody autumn,” while Professor Kamel Abu Jaber, President of Jordan’s Royal Institute of Interfaith Studies, called it a “freezing season.” Like El-Assal, quite a few accuse the West and Israel of deliberately destabilizing their world, tracing such efforts to weaken the Arab nation back 100 years. Such people link the difficulties in the whole region to the lack of progress on the Israeli-Palestinian issue. Abu Jaber attended the Madrid conference in 1991 (an early attempt by the international community to start a peace process), but sees that things have gone backwards since: “the Israelis have become very adept at deflecting any peaceful solution.”

However others, including some of the Syrians present, see the Arab Spring as the expression of a genuine desire for freedom from repression, and the crisis in Syria as the result first of the violent response of the Syrian government, and then of the decision by some in opposition to take up arms. Some saw pre-crisis Syria as a haven for minorities (particularly Christians) and point to extremist Al Qaida-type attacks as evidence that outside factors threaten to destroy a beautiful country. Others claim that the extremist element is rejected by the majority of those in opposition. Sheikh Mohamad Ali al-Hajj, a Shia leader from Lebanon (whose religion is therefore closer to that of the Alawite leadership in Syria), strongly emphasized that this was not a religious crisis but the result of political repression: it is in the regime’s interest to have the Shia people on their side.

He added that the Arab Spring was neither good nor bad - people’s natural desire for freedom has emerged differently in different parts of the region. Similarly, there was disagreement about the future, some predicting an extremist takeover and calling for a return to the way things used to be, others proposing an international force to supervise an end to the violence.


Dr. Mohammad Al Habash, Associate Professor at Abu Dhabi University and former member of the Syrian parliament, spoke of his country’s beauty and tradition of religious coexistence, and of his early attempts to find a third way as the crisis worsened. He gave detailed figures on the horrors of the war, pointing out that, with violence from both the regime and foreign fighters, those who suffer are the innocent, unarmed Syrians. He then called for a series of actions, beginning with disarmament and dialogue, and including urgent relief for refugees, participation in Geneva II and engagement with Iran. He added that Syria needs international influence and protection. Dr. Ismail Yassin, a Kurdish Syrian, who as a lecturer at Damascus University had witnessed the brutal repression of a peaceful demonstration, echoed Habash’s calls, adding the need to stop all foreign fighters and to spread a culture of peace. = ISLAM

Another important element is the absence of a culture for democracy. As Kamel Abu Jaber put it, “we are heirs to a political system of many centuries,” referring to the Ottoman Empire. There was no university in Jordan and the only school was built after the Ottomans left. After centuries of popular illiteracy and authoritarian government, the change to democracy is going to be a slow process. Hussein Hassouna echoed this: “The process to democracy is very slow.”

International perspectives

Some of the international participants noted parallels to the difficulties faced by Syria and the Middle East. India’s troubles with the West were referred to above. Dr. Paul Mojzes, Dean of Religious Studies at Rosemont College, USA, drawing on the experience of his native Yugoslavia, pointed out that when a dictator is replaced, “the vacuum is filled by multifaceted conflicts that had been lurking under the surface. Forces that threaten to destroy the very society which they inhabit find a fertile soil to thrive.”

Aslambek Aslakhanov, thankful for the chance to be in Jordan (where Chechens like himself who fled Russia centuries ago are now part of the royal guard), had previously been assigned the task of understanding the situation of religious leaders in Russia, and had seen how defenseless they were in front of those who misused the name of Allah. On Syria, the divided opposition appeared to agree only on their dislike of Assad. He realized many participants did not agree with Russia’s view, yet in both Iraq and Libya Russia could see what was coming, realizing that the real agenda behind both interventions was different from the stated one. This time, however, he perceived agreement on chemical weapons as a positive step, hopefully moving towards Geneva II. Russia will do as much as possible to guarantee a peaceful solution, in dialogue with all constructive forces.

Other participants presented proposals. Dr. Leonard Swidler, Professor of Religious Studies at Temple University, USA, recommended mobilizing soft power from below, building on the inevitable weariness of killing and pushing for an election. Hon. Anne-Marie Lizin, Honorary Speaker of the Belgian Senate, spoke of efforts to stop the flow of fighters into Syria: young Shia in Belgium, for example, procure visas to “do humanitarian work.” The ways to stop it are to have clear messages in the mosques and to stop the funding. She also commented from the viewpoint of international law on types of interventionism: “responsibility to protect” does not come with permission to change the system, and even then could only be justified if a state is internally illegitimate. In the current situation in Syria, the most vulnerable are those who have chosen to oppose but not to take up arms, since they are easily seen as traitors by both sides. She is strongly supportive of pushing for Geneva II, along with a parallel civil society conference. Emmanuel Dupuy is also strongly supportive of a Track 2 Geneva II, suggesting that we find someone to act as a liaison, providing necessary cross-fertilization between the two conferences.

Several participants provided a broader analysis of the crisis. Dr. Werner Fasslabend illustrated on a world map the areas of highest crisis potential. In the case of Syria, since there are three levels of actors, peace depends on bringing them together and finding a solution at all levels. Israel and Iran are the main actors, with Iran’s “axis of resistance” made possible by the US invasion of Iraq. Syrian government brutality and the rebel decision to arm caused the current situation. Any attempt to divide the nation into religious-based states would guarantee 100 years of instability. The solution should be an initiative from outside, agreed upon and executed by Syrians. Key to success will be a build-up of civil society. Emmanuel Dupuy emphasized that we are dealing with a human security problem. The crisis “is not only about religion. It’s geopolitics.” He pointed to a competition for leadership in the Muslim world (including such places as Nigeria, Indonesia and Iran) and to the roles of Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkey and Russia. Religion may be seen as the root cause of insecurity in some cases, but, through Track 2 diplomacy, it can also be part of the solution.

Religious and spiritual perspectives 

Darrol Bryant defines the study of other religions as “learning how to walk in another’s moccasins.” Listening deeply to each other is the bread and butter of interfaith, but was also fundamental to the success of our consultation. Leonard Swidler quoted Pope Francis’ three-word answer to a problem: “Dialogue. Dialogue. Dialogue.” Everything in our universe, starting from matter and energy, is in dialogue. We need each other. Dr Hamdi Murad, an Islamic scholar from Jordan, had set the bar very high in the opening session, telling us that God even dialogued with Satan, so who are we to refuse dialogue?

Rabbi Joseph Abittan, director of the monotheistic religions council for the South of France, reminded us of the internal process that precedes reconciliation: internal peace empowers us, but the culture of peace begins within the home light of a loving family. Forgiveness is an act of strength. As the African saying goes, “If you think differently than me, you are twice my brother.” Dr. Emanuel Aydin, patriarchal delegate of the Syrian Orthodox church in Austria, reminded us that people will listen to men of God if they are transparent for God. Rev. Dr. Filotheos Farag, a bishop in the Coptic church in Sudan, asked us all to pray silently for one minute for Syria; several participants spoke of the importance of prayer. Dr. Ahmed Kanaan of Lebanon, Director of the Mohammad Kanaan Foundation, quoted words of the prophet Mohammed condemning all killing, adding that those fighting in the name of religion don’t know the reality of religion.

Mufti Abduljalil Sajid, chair of the Muslim Council for Religious and Racial Harmony in the UK, reminded us of the Prophet’s words that “evil is in the mind. Change the mind,” going on to encourage us to love those we disagree with. Dr. Rouchdy Saleh, professor of natural resources at Tanta University in Egypt, cited a practical example of exemplary religious leadership. He spoke of Pope Tawadros of the Coptic church in Egypt, who, hearing of threats to churches, said: “If you burn the church, we will come and pray with you in the mosque. If they burn the mosque, we will pray together in the street.” These words melted tensions and won deep respect from Muslims in Egypt.

Many spoke of jihad, rejecting violent and immoral distortions and misuse of this term. Abduljalil Sajid says it means “change yourself and then change others peacefully.” Ismail Yassin said: “This conference is jihad. We are making an effort.”

Others addressed religion’s role to speak clearly to power. Hamdi Murad spoke for us all when he said we must raise our voice and give a clear message: “Stop the killing!” Marcus Braybrooke reflected with Kofi Annan on humanity’s failure to stop the genocide in Rwanda. He then cited steps suggested by the Dalai Lama, which moved from the internal to the more practical, including “Disarm internally,” “Strengthen international agreements,” “Dismantle the arms industry,” “Support the UN and its many agencies,” and “Create a World Council of People.”

Darrol Bryant insisted that “our focus should remain on the human suffering.”

NGO perspectives

“What can actually be done?” was the question troubling many of us. The Syrian participants emphasized the desperate need for help of both refugees in Jordan and the internally displaced in Syria. A special evening session was held where Amman-based aid agencies explained their projects in the hope that international participants will be able to secure such help. This aid includes not only basics such as food, blankets and medicine, increasingly important as winter approaches, but also education for the children of refugees.
Education was the key focus for many of us. Rev. Souheil Saoud, Executive Secretary of the board of education in the National Evangelical Synod of Syria and Lebanon, spoke of the importance of education starting from elementary school, as the personality is shaped in its first few years. Sadly, we’ve been educating our children in violence, glorifying wars. After 17 years of civil war in Lebanon no one can agree on what the history books should include. We need books which emphasize peace treaties, not wars. We have to spread the culture or peace, starting from schools. Dr. Amer Al Hafi of Jordan’s Royal Institute of Interfaith Studies emphasized the importance of teaching about one another’s religions. “Sunnis teach badly about Shia and vice versa.” We have to correct misconceptions in our own religion and deepen our understanding of mercy and tolerance. Dr. Ines Murzaku, professor of religion and chair of the department of Catholic Studies at Seton Hall University in the USA, wants to teach history better; 1000-year-old sources have wonderful examples of Christian-Muslim dialogue.

Ms. Patricia Lalonde is the managing director of MEWA (Mobilization for Elected Women Alternative) in France, which helps rebuild schools in Afghanistan. She made a passionate plea that we put women’s rights at the center of our strategy, pointing out that women’s rights do not affect only women. Leonard Swidler spoke of the vital importance of educating the children of Syrian refugees, especially the girls.

Mr. George Stephan is coordinator of the ACT Forum in Palestine (Action of Churches Together), whose goal is to create positive change in the lives of marginalized people. He emphasized the importance of giving hope to the Syrian refugees that they will soon be able to return to their homeland. His parents became refugees in 1948. He also spoke of an ACT Forum prayer vigil which will continue every month until a peaceful solution to the Palestinian problem is found.

The declaration

The declaration which resulted from our consultation had been circulated in draft form before we met. Adjustments and additions were made during our meeting and in particular during and as a result of our final session. It emphasizes the importance of the religious voice, calling upon religions to unite in search of a solution and to speak clearly against all forms of extremism. It calls for an immediate ceasefire, negotiations to release hostages and a swift move to a May 2014 election. It also calls for a range of soft power initiatives, particularly in the fields of education and relief. Finally it calls upon UPF and other NGOs to convene a Track 2 conference at the time of Geneva II.

OBAMACARE FINES CHARITABLE HOSPITALS



Charitable hospitals that treat uninsured children will now be fined and receive harsher scrutiny when applying for non-profit, tax-exempt status.
 
The Internal Revenue Service’s Section 501 goes into effect under Obamacare. The provision stipulates new financial penalties for charitable, tax-exempt hospitals that treat uninsured poor Americans. Currently, 60 percent of American hospitals fall under this category.

 Analysts explained that charity serves as a major deterrent for the uninsured to enroll in Obamacare, so the Obama administration is fining charitable hospitals.
 
“Failure to comply, or to prove this continuing need, could result in the loss of the hospital’s tax-exempt status. The hospital would then become a for-profit venture, paying income tax— hence the positive revenue score” for the federal government, explained John Kartch of Americans for Tax Reform.
 
Kartch added, “Obamacare advocates turned over every rock to find as much tax money as possible.”

The Department of Health and Human Services and the IRS will be reviewing the nation’s hospitals for infractions and imposing penalties as necessary to comply with the Affordable Care Act. Bothe departments have experienced major scandals this year, leading Americans to distrust their judgment on this issue.

Considering that so many of the non-violent passages in the quran are twisted ripoffs from the old and new testaments, this is laughable. Judaism is 5774 years old.

As for Zionism being "a racist movement whose goals include driving Arabs out of all of the area between the Nile River in Africa and the Euphrates River in Iraq, Syria, and Turkey" ..... say what? What religion did that, exactly? What religion took over the entire Middle East and is devouring Africa?

These Two Children Were Paired As A Post-Op And Pre-Op Transsexual Couple

Parents in the town of St. Leonard, MD were aghast after learning what the staff at Heritage Middle School required children to do for a passing grade. The outrage stems from an event held this past Monday, a day which the school had dubbed “LGBTQ Appreciation Dayinstructing children to experience the homosexual lifestyle for a single school day or receive a failing grade.

Students were assigned the different roles throughout LGBTQ culture. Boys were given the task of being masculine homosexuals, feminine homosexuals, cross dressers and a wide variety of other gay archetypes. The young ladies were selected to be lip stick lesbians, or butch lesbians.

The students were partnered with members of the same sex and they were then made to role-played a day in the life of a gay couple. Holding hands, hugging and other innocent displays of affection were both encouraged and rewarded as extra credit by school officials.

This controversial event was the brainchild of school principle Caren Shandel. Caren is a longtime activist for gay rights and also holds the title of first openly transgendered school principle in the Nation. I spoke with Caren about her decision to hold LGBTQ Appreciation Day and she told me the following.

“I won’t rest until there’s an out-of-the-closet homosexual in every family!” Caren Shandel-

For decades the conservative majority has expressed nothing but hatred and disdain towards homosexuals and gay culture. Fortunately, progressive liberal reasoning has gained predominance which has enabled those of  us within educational systems to re-educate and replace many of the antiquated ways in which people perceive homosexuals and their allies. The Obama administration has opened up so many doors for us and I look forward to propelling this agenda forward. My goal is to make homosexuality the commonly accepted norm. I won’t rest until there’s an out-of-the-closet homosexual in every family!”

Parents in the area say they’re upset with what went on, claiming they had no prior knowledge of the days events before it took place. Tammy Prescott, a mother of one of the male students who was allegedly required to dress as a female and act submissively to the boy he had been partnered with claims Mrs. Shandel told her child that he would be a “CD (cross dressing) bottom, which is apparently a respected subculture amongst homosexual population. Tammy continued:

“If I had known what kind of deranged event they had been planning I would have taken my child out of that school immediately. I do not believe this activity had a single positive aspect to it, quite the opposite actually. My son has been acting very unusual since that day. He even asked to use my lipstick last week before school. This isn’t right.

It’s not that I’m homophobic. I simply do not think this sort of thing is necessary. How is this supposed to teach a child acceptance? It causes more harm than good…”

The school district has made no comment on the matter but they may be soon forced to do so in front of a judge. Several parents have been in contact with lawyers and are currently taking steps in organizing a class action law suit against the school.

5 décembre 2013 – Le Secrétaire général Ban Ki-moon a rendu jeudi hommage à des millions de jeunes volontaires dans le monde qui s'engagent pour faire advenir le changement social.

« Le monde compte plus de 1,2 milliard de jeunes, tous dotés d'un potentiel incroyable pour relever les défis du monde contemporain et agir comme agents de changement », déclare Ban Ki-moon dans son message à l'occasion de la Journée, observée chaque année le 5 décembre.

« Le fait de travailler comme volontaire donne aux jeunes l'occasion d'acquérir des compétences pratiques et professionnelles qui leur serviront tout au long de leur vie, et les prépare à prendre activement part à la vie de leur communauté et de la société mondiale et à y jouer un rôle de premier plan. »

M. Ban a tout particulièrement rendu hommage aux près d'un millier de jeunes Volontaires des Nations Unies qui contribuent à l'action de l'Organisation en faveur de la PAIX, du DEVELOPPEMENT DURABLE et des DROITS DE L'HOMME. « Ces volontaires travaillent au côté du personnel des Nations Unies pour améliorer les vies de populations qui comptent parmi les plus vulnérables au monde. »

Le volontariat n'est pas à sens unique, a poursuivi le Secrétaire général, qui a noté que même si les volontaires contribuent à apporter un changement positif dans la vie des autres, ils voient souvent leurs propres vies être transformées par le simple fait de se porter volontaire.

« En cette Journée internationale des volontaires, renouvelons notre engagement d'offrir aux jeunes de nombreuses possibilités de se porter volontaire pour qu'ils puissent acquérir confiance en eux-mêmes et contribuer concrètement et activement au changement mondial. »

Les peuples de plus de 80 pays, d'Afghanistan au Zimbabwe, célèbrent la Journée par des parades, des fêtes foraines, des dons du sang, des expositions ou encore des conférences.« Plus de 80% des jeunes au monde vivent dans des pays en développement où ils affirment de plus en plus leur rôle face aux problèmes globaux et par leur action volontaire qui en font les agents du changement social », a déclaré de son côté l'Administratrice du Programme des Nations Unies pour le développement (PNUD), Helen Clark.

Cette année, a-t-elle annoncé, le PNUD et le programme des Volontaires des Nations Unies (VNU) ont joint leurs forces pour lancer le premier fonds d'affectation destiné spécialement à stimuler le volontariat des jeunes du monde entier et à tirer profit de leur énergie pour atteindre les objectifs de développement tout en améliorant leur qualité de vie.

American children gathered around a Muslim learning about the Qur’an for school credit.

Washington, DC — At a press conference today, President Obama announced plans for the first ever federally funded Muslim outreach program. The program will be available nationwide for all elementary school students grade K-12 beginning February 1st, 2014. The program is designed to educate children about the fundamentals of the Muslim religion and Islamic belief.

President Obama spoke with reporters to explain why it is so important that these outreach programs exist. “The Muslim community deserves our full understanding and respect,” Obama said. “We have killed millions of Muslims overseas since the September 11th attacks. These folks are not all bad. In fact, most of them are hardworking citizens just like you and me. I encourage every student in America to participate in your school’s Muslim outreach program. Learn about the Muslim community, the beauty of the Sunnah and the magic of the Qur’an.”

35-year-old Paul Horner, a teacher at Starks Elementary School in Louisiana, told MSNBC he is excited about the new program. “I think anything a child can learn is good. We need more learning in this country,” Horner said. “These classes are not mandatory but children can use them as extra credit towards other classes. For example, if Becky has a D+ in math she can take a three week after-school class on the Qur’an and would then have an A in Math. That’s a win-win for everyone!”

The Muslim youth outreach program is designed to help young people from different cultures work together to break down ethnic barriers. Their goal is to help promote a greater respect for other cultures, understanding while at the same time learning about all that culture has to offer.

Khaled Matei, who is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood‘s Freedom and Justice Party, told CNN he is pleased with Obama and his actions. “I spoke with President Obama by telephone yesterday and personally thanked him for what he is doing for the Muslim community,” Matei said. “This is definitely a step in the right direction I explained to him. Praise Allah.”

Les parents d’une école primaire en Angleterre ont reçu l'ordre d'envoyer leurs enfants à un atelier sur l'islam ou les avoir étiquetés comme racistes pour le reste de leur carrière scolaire. Voici la lettre qu’ils ont reçue annonçant cette excursion et ces sanctions.

Cher parent/tuteur,

Dans le cadre du programme national d’éducation religieuse et de la communauté multiculturelle dans laquelle nous vivons, il est obligatoire pour les enfants à l’école primaire de découvrir différentes cultures.

L'atelier a lieu à l'Université du Staffordshire, il permettra à votre enfant d'explorer d'autres religions.

Les enfants se pencheront sur des objets religieux similaires à ceux exposés dans un musée. Ils ne participeront pas à des rites religieux.

Le refus de participation à cette excursion entraînera une sanction au motif de « discrimination raciale », elle restera au casier de votre enfant pour le reste de sa scolarité.

En conséquence, nous nous attendons à ce que tous les enfants de 4e et 6e année se rendent à l’école le mercredi 27 novembre pour prendre part à cette excursion.

Toute absence sera étudiée pour en vérifier la crédibilité et ne pourra être justifiée que par un certificat médical.

Devant les protestations des parents de l’école fulminants, un porte-parole pour le Conseil du comté [commission scolaire] du Staffordshire a déclaré qu'il était important pour les enfants d’en apprendre davantage sur les différentes cultures, mais que les parents ont le droit de retirer leurs enfants s’ils le souhaitaient.

Traduction d’un article qui n’est paru que dans les journaux en anglais de Québécor (The Expositor, 24 Hours Toronto, The Kingston Whig Standard, Niagara Falls Review, North Bay Nugget, Packet and Times, The Sun Times, The Daily Observer).

L’instruction religieuse catholique et protestante a été supprimée depuis plus de 15 ans des écoles québécoises, mais les religieuses et les prêtres sont désormais remplacés par des « animateurs à la vie spirituelle et à l'engagement communautaire » dont certains dirigent les écoliers dans des séances de méditation et de respiration rythmique.

Le programme de spiritualité, prévu par la Loi sur l'éducation de la province, a sonné l’alarme dans l'église catholique qui s’oppose publiquement aux plans du Parti québécois visant à interdire le port de symboles religieux par les travailleurs en éducation et d'autres fonctionnaires.

Le PQ a aboli les commissions scolaires religieuses en 1997, la dernière fois qu'il était au pouvoir, dans le cadre d'un plan visant à mettre en place ce qu'il appelle la « neutralité de l'État » sur la question religieuse.

En 2000, toutes les commissions scolaires avaient été forcées d’embaucher des animateurs spirituels afin de mener des campagnes anti-intimidation, de structurer les efforts humanitaires et de « se concentrer sur la recherche de sens des jeunes », selon une directive du ministère de l'Éducation.

Dans un rapport de 2006, intitulé Pour approfondir sa vie intérieure et changer le monde, le ministère a déclaré que ses activités jouent un rôle complémentaire à la religion et « ne présentent aucune croyance particulière comme étant supérieure à d’autres. » [Ce qui est très peu probable, sinon ces activités seraient inutiles. Il est ainsi fort probable que tout l’engagement communautaire soit teinté de correctivisme et de conformisme politique aigu. Sur le plan religieux, ces activités inculquent aux enfants que la spiritualité même coupée d'un être divin ou d'une religion est une bonne chose. On n'échappe pas aux prises de position dans ce domaine.]

Parmi les « zones d'opération » du programme de spiritualité : « l’intériorité, le silence et la méditation. »

Elizabeth Pellicone dirige des séances de méditation avec des écoliers fréquentant la Commission scolaire English Montreal. Elle affirme que la plupart de ses collègues font de même.

L'Agence QMI a pu observer une telle séance la semaine dernière dans une école primaire du nord de Montréal. Pellicone faisait résonner une cloche tandis qu'un groupe d'élèves de 2e année étaient tranquillement assis, les mains sur leur pupitre.

Elle a déclaré que la méditation a un effet particulièrement puissant sur les enfants en maternelle et en 1re année.

« Ils comprennent assez facilement et assez vite », ajouta-t-elle. « Ils disaient sentir que "le son se déplaçait autour de ma tête ou que je me soulevais de ma chaise" ».

« Ils avaient l'une de ces — pas une expérience extra-corporelle  — mais l'une de ces expériences où leur esprit est tellement concentré sur quelque chose qu'ils ne prêtent plus attention à quoi que ce soit d’autre. »

Pellicone a nié que ces séances aient un rapport avec le Nouvel Âge.

« Je ne considère pas cela comme religieux », dit-elle. « Je considère cela de la spiritualité et je vois une différence entre les deux. »

Elle a défini la spiritualité comme « ce sens que tous les êtres humains... ont une essence. Et que nous sommes reliés par un fil invisible qui relie tous les êtres humains. » [Ce qui est une croyance de type religieux.]

Un autre animateur, dans un rapport à une autre commission scolaire de Montréal, a écrit qu’elle dirige ses élèves dans des séances de respiration rythmique où les enfants sont invités à compter leurs respirations.

La commission scolaire s’est fait dire que « le souffle est le centre vers lequel nous pouvons nous tourner quand les choses vont mal. » [...]

Les parents ont le droit de retirer leurs enfants du programme de spiritualité du Québec, il ne fait pas partie du programme obligatoire.

« La possibilité d’être exempté est absolument essentielle », a déclaré Andrea Mrozek, directrice de l'Institut du mariage et de la famille Canada.

« Parfois, en Ontario, par exemple, l’école dit : « Non, vous ne pouvez pas retirer votre enfant pour tel ou tel cours. »

Quant à l'affirmation du Québec que son programme spirituel est religieusement neutre, Mrozek s’est montrée sceptique.

« Vous ne pouvez pas réellement enseigner ce genre de choses dans le vide », a dit Mrozek. « Après avoir complètement éliminé (la religion), ils ne peuvent quand même pas en introduire maintenant un ersatz pseudo-spirituel post-moderne ».

Le Ministère de l'Éducation du Québec a refusé de commenter ses directives spirituelles et a renvoyé toutes les demandes d’information vers les commissions scolaires.

« Éduquer au DIALOGUE INTERCULTUREL dans l’école catholique. Vivre ensemble pour une civilisation de l’amour » : c’est le titre d’un nouveau document publié par la Congrégation pour l’éducation catholique.

Le cardinal Zenon Grocholewski, préfet du dicastère, Mgr Angelo Vincenzo Zani, secrétaire, et le professeur Italo Fiorin, doyen de l’université LUMSA de Rome, ont présenté le document, ce 19 décembre, au Saint-Siège.

Publié « avec l’autorisation du pape François », le document approfondit « l’éducation au DIALOGUE INTERCULTUREL », a expliqué le cardinal Grocholewski.

Il a évoqué le contexte de l’éducation dans le monde d’aujourd’hui, où « plus d’un milliard de jeunes » sont en âge d’être scolarisés, et plus de 58 millions d’enseignants sont impliqués sur la planète.

Il a souligné les difficultés actuelles : « D’après les données de l’Unicef (2013), plus de 70 millions d’enfants ne vont pas à l’école, la majeure partie d’entre eux vivant dans les États fragilisés par des conflits ». En outre, « il manque environ 1,7 million d’enseignants dans le monde ».

Entre 2008 et 2011, a-t-il ajouté, les écoles catholiques ont augmenté de plus de 6.000 unités, en particulier en Afrique, en Asie et en Océanie, pour un total de 209.670.

Le nouveau document invite l’école catholique à « offrir aux jeunes générations les éléments nécessaires pour développer une vision interculturelle de la vie ensemble », car « le phénomène des migrations a globalisé la réalité du multiculturalisme et de la multi-religiosité ».

« Le mot-clé qui relie tous les aspects abordés dans le document est ‘DIALOGUE’ », a souligné le cardinal, car « c’est l’indication que le pape François donne avec enthousiasme, le comportement avec lequel l’Église doit aborder toute situation ».

« L’objectif principal de l’éducation au DIALOGUE INTERCULTUREL est la construction d’une civilisation de l’amour », d’une « société pacifique et solidaire », non pas en vivant « une vague solidarité », mais en cherchant à exprimer « la charité du Christ ».

Le dicastère plaide pour « un retour à l’identité de l’école catholique, dont le fondement est le Christ » : en effet, « pour pouvoir jouer un rôle constructif, l’école catholique ne peut pas affaiblir son identité, mais elle doit au contraire la renforcer, et sa mission ne peut être détachée de l’évangélisation », a fait observer le cardinal.

Le document s’adresse notamment « aux parents, aux dirigeants, enseignants et personnel des écoles catholiques, aux Commissions épiscopales, aux instituts religieux, mouvements et associations qui assurent le suivi pastoral de l’éducation » mais aussi « à tous ceux qui ont à cœur l’éducation de la personne ».

Daté du 28 octobre 2013, il marque le 48e anniversaire de la déclaration conciliaire Gravissimum educationis sur l’éducation chrétienne, point de référence pour le dicastère.

Un réseau éducatif international entre écoles de toutes sortes et de tous niveaux, signe d'une "solidarité entre les générations" et d'une "fraternité scolaire", a été lancé par l'Académie pontificale des Sciences, mardi 13 août. Il a été présenté à la « Casina Pie IV », siège de l’Académie, dans les jardins du Vatican, en présence de Lional Messi et de Gigi Buffon, capitaines des équipes nationales de football d'Argentine et d'Italie, partenaires de l'initiative.

Cette initiative peut être suivie sur un site web, en construction: www.scholasoccurrentes.org .

Il s'agit d'un réseau devant favoriser une "société inclusive" c'est-à-dire qui "assure à chacun le nécessaire pour développer son projet de vie en accord avec sa culture et ses convictions, les valeurs universelles transculturelles et le respect de l’environnement", a indiqué Mgr Marcelo Sánchez Sorondo, président de l’Académie.

Et c'est pourquoi l'initiative a été lancée en parallèle avec le match amical de football Italie-Argentine prévu à Rome ce mercredi 14 août. Lionel Messi et Gigi Buffon ont participé à la présentation du réseau.

"Les amis du pape François, en accord avec lui, ont désiré que l’hommage du match amical Italie-Argentine soit aussi une occasion privilégiée pour lancer cette initiative gratuite de solidarité intergénérationnelle en faveur d’une nouvelle fraternité scolaire", a expliqué Mgr Sanchez.

Reconnaissant l’importance actuelle des premiers résultats obtenus par la "Escuela de Vecinos" ("Ecole des voisins") et par les "Escuelas Hermanas" ("Écoles soeurs"), des initiatives promues par le pape François lorsqu’il était archevêque de Buenos Aires, l’Académie pontificale des sciences désire promouvoir la création d’un réseau éducatif international entre écoles de toutes sortes et de tous niveaux, avec les sept objectifs suivants, explique l'Académie:

- construire, grâce à l’éducation, une société inclusive dans laquelle tout le monde puisse disposer du nécessaire pour développer un projet de vie en harmonie avec sa propre culture et ses propres convictions, avec les valeurs universelles transculturelles et dans le respect de l’environnement;

- développer un comportement d’ouverture à l’autre comme à soi-même, afin d’aller vers un monde de plus en plus intégré, sans perdre la richesse de la diversité;

- concevoir l’éducation comme un chemin, au cours duquel chacun puisse développer ses capacités le mieux possible pour le bien de la communauté et pour son propre bonheur;

- promouvoir la coopération entre étudiants, en ce qui concerne la conscience civique et la politique, en les considérant comme une participation active au bien commun;

- placer la coopération et la solidarité au-dessus de toute forme d’égoïsme et de compétitivité;

- appliquer la science et la technologie au service de l’enseignement et de l’instruction;

- promouvoir une prise de conscience à propos de l’ENVIRONNEMENT, du DEVELOPPEMENT DURABLE, de la JUSTICE et de la PAIX. = NOUVEL ORDRE MONDIAL LUCIFERIEN

Les écoles qui souihaitent participer à ce réseau peuvent s’inscrire gratuitement sur le site et elles recevront un soutien pour la mise en œuvre des différentes initiatives inspirées par ces objectifs.

La coordination de cette action a été confiée aux professeurs José Maria del Corral et Enrique Palmeyro, avec le soutien du professeur Antonio M. Battro, membre de l’Académie pontificale des sciences.

Le match de football entre l’Italie et l’Argentine qui a lieu à Rome ce mercredi 14 août 2013, en l’honneur du pape François, est une occasion privilégiée pour faire connaître cette initiative de bienfaisance et de solidarité en faveur des jeunes générations.

L'initiative a notamment été lancée en présence de José María del Corral, Enrique Palmeyro, Mgr Marcelo Sánchez Sorondo, chancelier de l’Académie pontificale des sciences, du docteur Germán Lerche, président de la délégation argentine, Claudio Cesare Prandelli, commissaire technique de l’équipe nationale italienne, Alejandro Sabella, commissaire technique de l’équipe nationale argentine, Lionel Andrés Messi, capitaine de l’équipe nationale argentine, Gianluigi Buffon, capitaine de l’équipe nationale italienne, et d’autres représentants des deux équipes nationales de football, solidaires dans cette initiative.

Le capitaine de l’équipe nationale argentine a rappelé que le football l’avait amené à parcourir le monde, dans les lieux les plus inattendus. Mais ce 13 août 2013, a-t-il expliqué, a été « une journée spéciale, inoubliable ». Le champion argentin hors pair a affirmé que « seul le respect peut faire de nous des hommes et des joueurs de football meilleurs ». « Je crois, a-t-il dit, que le modèle doit être celui qui enseigne aux jeunes le respect et l’humilité, le respect des autres, qui enseigne à lutter pour ce que l’on veut sans faire de mal à personne et sans ne penser qu’à soi, ou à faire du mal… Mais je crois surtout que le respect est fondamental pour être une personne meilleure ».

Le gardien de but de l’équipe nationale italienne, Gianluigi Buffon, quant à lui, a affirmé que « pour chercher à être un bon modèle, un sportif doit essayer de garder intacte la vocation qui l’a amené, adolescent, à approcher la discipline qu’il pratique. Revenant sur la rencontre avec le pape François, il a ajouté : « C’est certainement une journée spéciale, qui restera imprimée dans nos esprits et dans nos cœurs. Je crois que lui-même est spécial, nous avons la chance d’avoir un pape spécial. Je crois aussi que nous allons enfin pouvoir traduire en faits concrets toutes les paroles et toutes les pensées que, chaque fois, nous nous proposons de vivre et que, ensuite, nous ne réalisons jamais et nous ne mettons jamais en pratique. Je crois que, avec un tel pape, qui nous indique la voie et le bon chemin à suivre, qui nous réchauffe le cœur, qui nous secoue l’âme, je crois que ce sera un peu plus facile de devenir meilleurs et de faire des choses meilleures dont nous pourrons être fiers ».

Le jour même de son accueil à l'UNESCO, Moncef Marzouki a reçu une belle claque du redoutable ancien ambassadeur tunisien auprès de cette organisation onusienne. Dans une lettre ouverte adressée à Madame Irina Bokova, la directrice générale, Mezri Haddad a jeté un grand pavé dans la marre: la talibanisation des crèches d'enfants en Tunisie. Sa lettre ouverte a été publié ce matin par le prestigieux Huffington Post et elle a été reprise par les sites d'information Tunisie-Focus, Tuniscope et Webradar. Si dramatique soit-il, le sujet n'a pas intéressé certains autres sites tunisiens, qui essayent de joindre l'utile à l'agréable, c'est-à-dire la politicaillerie au business. En suivant nos confrères honorables, nous reproduisons cette magnifique lettre ouverte, en rappelant que Tunisie-Secret a été parmi les premiers sites d'information à parler de l'endoctrinement des enfants dans les crèches dites coraniques. C'était le 10 mai dernier, avec la même photo que nous republions ce soir.

Excellence,

C'est un ancien ambassadeur d'un ancien pays qui vous écrit pour attirer votre attention sur une tragédie qui se joue à huis clos. Cette missive, je ne l'ai pas ornée de paroles ampoulées, ou de ces autres parures dont certains ont coutume de broder leurs propos. J'ai voulu ou que rien ne fît honneur à cette lettre, ou que seules la gravité du sujet et l'ampleur du désastre la fassent agréer.

Il ne s'agit ni du terrorisme islamo-fasciste qui frappe ce paisible pays que fut la Tunisie, ni de la faillite économique d'une ex-économie émergente et florissante, ni de la cacophonie politique qui y règne depuis bientôt trois ans. Aucun de ces maux qui gangrènent la Tunisie ne relève de votre domaine de compétence. C'est l'affaire des Tunisiens, qui doivent affronter le destin qu'ils ont choisi ou subi en janvier 2011. Je vous interpelle sur une question tragique qui relève de votre domaine de compétence, d'habilitation et même d'obligation morale.

Il s'agit, Madame la Directrice générale, de la régression abyssale qu'a connue l'éducation nationale. Il s'agit aussi des jardins d'enfants coraniques qui se métastasent partout en Tunisie. L'invitation par l'Unesco du président provisoire de la Tunisie éternelle rend cette missive à la fois contingente et opportune.

Que cet homme, qui a construit toute sa légende sur le mythique respect des droits de l'homme, que vous vous apprêtez d'accueillir, réponde du crime contre l'enfance et soit interrogé par votre auguste assemblée sur les 100000 élèves de 6 à 16 ans, déscolarisés en une année, soit 5,2% de la population totale scolarisée.

Ce chiffre effrayant et affligeant au pays de Bourguiba qui a fait de l'éducation pour tous un impératif catégorique, n'émane pas des ratiocinations d'un philosophe alarmiste, pas plus que ses conséquences, l'effondrement graduel de toute une nation, ne relève des élucubrations de Cassandres. Ce chiffre vient du ministère de l'Education nationale qui a fini par rompre l'omerta après la publication d'une enquête financée par l'Unicef.

Dans son rapport annuel de 2012, celle-ci a reconnu que "ce fléau touche 80.000 enfants en âge de scolarité obligatoire". Nous en sommes aujourd'hui à 100000, et si rien n'est fait pour arrêter cette tragédie, nous en serons l'année prochaine à 200000. En février 2013, une copie de ce rapport a été remise à Moncef Marzouki par Maria Luisa Fornara, la représentante de l'Unicef.

Depuis, rien n'a été fait, et pour cause: plutôt que de stopper d'urgence ce "fléau", le président provisoire préfère gloser devant les instances internationales sur les acquis de la "révolution" bouazizienne et s'immiscer dans les affaires de l'Egypte et de la Syrie.

La nonchalance de ce gouvernement a amené Basma Krichène à le rappeler à ses obligations: "l'actuel gouvernement n'a pris aucune mesure pour désamorcer une véritable bombe à retardement...A qui profite le crime" s'interrogeait-elle dans un émouvant plaidoyer publié par le site Kapitalis, le 22 août dernier.

Ce crime profite manifestement aux Frères musulmans qui ont fait main basse sur la Tunisie et à leurs acolytes, les salafistes. C'est toujours par la domestication des plus vulnérables (la femme et l'enfance) que commence le totalitarisme vert. D'où ce second cancer qui ronge la Tunisie: la métastase des crèches coraniques, un "acquis" de la "révolution du jasmin"!

Le même rapport de l'Unicef indiquait que "le ministère des Affaires de la Femme et de la Famille (MAFF) manque de moyens d'inspection des jardins d'enfants, notamment avec la prolifération des jardins d'enfants coraniques qui échappent au contrôle de l'Etat.". Mais ce rapport n'évoque pas l'enseignement nauséabond et pernicieux de ces crèches coraniques, ni l'origine des fonds saoudiens et qataris qui les ont financé.

En moins de trois ans, le nombre de ces crèches coraniques a atteint les 702, selon le dernier recensement du Maff. Mais pour une responsable syndicale, leur nombre dépasserait en réalité les 2000, alors que celui des crèches séculaires arrive à peine à 4005.

Lors d'une conférence de presse en septembre dernier, la ministre de ce ministère dévoyé a déclaré qu'elle "n'a aucune objection à l'ouverture de jardins d'enfants coraniques". Idem pour le ministre des Affaires religieuses qui "refuse que des jardins d'enfants coraniques soient fermés sur la base de leur caractère religieux".

Il ne s'agit donc pas de manque de moyens d'inspection, comme le suggère le rapport cité, mais d'une stratégie d'Etat répondant à l'exigence de son guide suprême, Rached Ghannouchi, qui a demandé à ses ouailles islamistes et salafistes, dès 2011, de "créer des associations et des établissements préscolaires et scolaires pour former les futures générations".

En réalité, il ne s'agit guère de religion, encore moins de spiritualité, mais d'activités bassement lucratives dont l'enseignement consiste à distiller le poison wahhabite dans l'esprit d'enfants de 3 à 5 ans. Des outils pédagogiques gracieusement offert par l'Arabie Saoudite, jusqu'à la formation accélérée des éducatrices prêcheuses, tout est fait pour détruire les crèches et les écoles laïques et républicaines dont la naissance remonte à l'aube de l'indépendance. La remarquable enquête de Hanène Zbiss montre l'ampleur et l'horreur de ce phénomène, ainsi que les dégâts psychologiques irréparables qu'il entraine sur des milliers d'enfants.

Selon cette enquête publiée par la revue Réalités, les animatrices portent toutes le niqab et outre l'islam nécrosé dont elles gavent leurs jeunes victimes, elles incitent les petites filles à porter le voile et leur apprennent à dessiner et à colorier "des personnages sans yeux, sans nez et sans bouche", car la représentation de visages est interdite dans la doctrine wahhabite. On leur apprend aussi des chants religieux, mais sans musique et sans percussions, parce que c'est interdit par Allah.

Une maman victime de ce réseaux islamo-mafieux, raconte comment on inculque à des enfants le djihad: "Mon fils chantait souvent une chanson dont les paroles disaient: mon ancêtre est Saladin et j'irai combattre en Palestine"! Tel le fonctionnement des sectes, le rôle des animatrices "ne se limite pas seulement à apprivoiser les enfants, mais s'étend aux parents, en incitant les petits à faire du prosélytisme auprès d'eux, pour les ramener au droit chemin".

La mixité est évidemment strictement interdite, sans doute pour éviter l'accouplement des enfants! Mais ce n'est pas des enfants de leur âge que ces innocents ont à craindre, mais des pédophiles qui ont mission de les garder: en mars dernier, dans une crèche coranique à la Marsa, une petite fille de trois ans a été violée par le gardien d'une crèche islamiquement correcte!

C'est sur ces crimes contre l'enfance tunisienne que j'ai voulu attirer votre attention. Lors d'un congrès récemment organisé par un émirat porteur du virus wahhabite, vous avez déclaré que "L'éducation doit être préservée même dans les situations extrêmes".

Vous avez, Madame la Directrice générale, les leviers suffisants et les moyens institutionnels pour arrêter ce massacre abominable par lequel ce gouvernement illégal et illégitime depuis le 23 octobre 2012 cherche à imposer aux Tunisiens une nouvelle façon de penser, de s'éduquer, de vivre, de s'habiller et même de croire. De ce gouvernement criminel, le président provisoire que vous accueillez est à la fois le complice et la caution droit-de-l'hommienne.

Je sais qu'il n'est pas dans les usages et les procédés de l'Unesco, organisations des Etats, de blâmer un président si contingent et si temporaire soit-il. Ce n'est point ce que je vous demande. Mais je sais aussi que c'est dans la mission et la vocation même de notre organisation onusienne de faire respecter l'éducation pour tous et de protéger l'enfance des sectaires et des prédateurs, que ce soit des individus ou des groupes, à plus forte raison des Etats.

C'est à l'Unesco et à elle seule que revient ce "droit d'ingérence" pour que le destin des milliers d'enfants tunisiens déscolarisés ne soit pas celui des enfants de Calcutta, et que celui des centaines d'autres qui subissent l'endoctrinement wahhabite ne soit pas celui des hordes fanatisées qui mènent le djihad en Syrie.

Ce serait un terrible caprice de l'histoire pour mon pays, dont le taux de scolarisation était en 2010 de 99%, dont le Bey Hammouda Pacha a rejeté l'hérésie wahhabite dès 1810, dont l'illustre Bourguiba a décrété il y a plus d'un demi-siècle l'obligation, la généralisation, la gratuité et la sécularité de l'enseignement et qui a été l'un des premiers pays arabes à ratifier la Convention internationale des Droits de l'Enfant.

The Boy Scouts of America will accept openly gay youths starting on New Year's Day, a historic change that has prompted the BSA to ponder a host of potential complications — ranging from policies on tentmates and showers to whether Scouts can march in gay pride parades.

Yet despite their be-prepared approach, BSA leaders are rooting for the change to be a non-event, comparable to another New Year's Day in 2000 when widespread fears of digital-clock chaos to start the new millennium proved unfounded.

"My hope is there will be the same effect this Jan. 1 as the Y2K scare," said Brad Haddock, a BSA national executive board member who chairs the policy implementation committee. "It's business as usual, nothing happens and we move forward."

Some churches are dropping their sponsorship of Scout units because of the new policy and some families are switching to a new conservative alternative called Trail Life USA. But massive defections haven't materialized and most major sponsors, including the Roman Catholic and Mormon churches, are maintaining ties.

"There hasn't been a whole lot of fallout," said Haddock, a lawyer from Wichita, Kansas. "If a church said they wouldn't work with us, we'd have a church right down the street say, 'We'll take the troop.'"

The new policy was approved in May, with support from 60% of the 1,400 voting members of the BSA's National Council. The vote followed bitter nationwide debate, and was accompanied by an announcement that the BSA would continue to exclude openly gay adults from leadership positions.

Under the new membership policy, youths can no longer be barred from the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts or coed Venturers program solely on the basis of sexual orientation. However, gay Scouts will face some limitations.

"Any sexual conduct, whether heterosexual or homosexual, by youth of Scouting age is contrary to the virtues of Scouting," says one BSA document. "No member may use Scouting to promote or advance any social or political position or agenda, including on the matter of sexual orientation." = ruse and lies

Trying to anticipate potential friction, the BSA has distributed extensive explanations and question-and-answer documents related to the policy.
Some examples:

—Could a Scout march in uniform in a gay-pride parade? No, says the BSA. "Each youth member is free as an individual to express his or her thoughts or take action on political or social issues but must not use Scouting's official uniforms and insignia when doing so." = yeah, like military, churches and employers who're now prosecute if they don't take a stand for homosexuality

—How publicly active could a gay Scout be, in terms of gay-rights advocacy? The BSA's reply: "While a youth member may acknowledge his or her sexual preference, that acknowledgment may not reach the level of distraction, which may include advocacy, promotion, or the distribution of information of a sexual nature."

A frequently-asked-questions document anticipates that some objections might surface from parents — or Scouts themselves — in cases where a unit includes an openly gay boy.

Regarding shower and toilet facilities, the BSA says it is encouraging units to provide greater individual privacy, including moving away from the tradition of group showers.

"The adult leaders have the discretion to arrange private showering times and locations," the BSA says. = and bedroom?

Sleeping arrangements also are addressed, with specific decisions left to unit leaders.

"If a Scout or parent of a Scout makes a request to not tent with another Scout, their wishes should be honored," says the BSA. = will be classify as non-tolerant and hater

Haddock says "isolated pockets" of problems are likely to surface, but overall he expects adult leaders will have the skills to defuse potential conflicts.

There are about 1 million adult leaders and 2.6 million youth members in Scouting in the U.S. Of the roughly 110,000 Scout units, 70 percent are sponsored by religious organizations, including several conservative denominations that had long supported the BSA's exclusion of gay youth and gay adults.

Among the major sponsors, the Southern Baptist Convention made clear its disappointment with the new youth policy, but left the decision on whether to cut ties up to local churches. An SBC spokesman, Sing Oldham, said it was not known how many churches have done so.

The biggest sponsor of Scout units — the Utah-based Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — commended the BSA for a "thoughtful, good-faith effort" to address a challenging issue, and said it would stay engaged in Scouting.

John Gailey of the Utah National Parks Council, the nation's largest council, said its youth membership had increased from 74,148 in December 2012 to 75,863 this month.

Like the Mormons, the Roman Catholic Church has generally accepted the new policy. Many parishes will continue to sponsor Scout units, though a few have considered cutting ties.

The National Catholic Committee on Scouting posted a question-and-answer document on its website, delving into the intersection of Scouting policy and Catholic teaching.

"The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that individuals who disclose a same-sex attraction are to be treated with the same dignity due all human beings … and also teaches that engaging in sexual activity outside of marriage is always immoral," says the Q-and-A, concluding that the new BSA policy does not contradict Catholic teaching. = hypocrit catholic church who is behing the LGBT movement

The ultimate decision on whether parishes would maintain or cut ties with the BSA was left to individual bishops. Several expressed cautious support for continuing in Scouting.

"As the new policy currently stands, I see no reason to prohibit our parishes from sponsoring Boy Scout troops," said Rev. Kevin Rhoades, bishop of Indiana's Fort Wayne-South Bend diocese. "At the same time, it is critical that we be vigilant on how this new policy is interpreted and implemented."

One likely target of such scrutiny will be former Defense Secretary Robert Gates, scheduled to take over in the spring as the BSA's next president. As leader of the Pentagon, Gates helped change the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy banning openly gay soldiers, and gay-rights groups hope he will try to end the BSA's ban on gay adult leaders.

The new youth policy was approved during a BSA meeting in May in the Dallas-Fort Worth suburb of Grapevine, near the Scouts' national headquarters in Irving, Texas.

Texas has a long heritage of Scouting, with tens of thousands of youth members and many families claiming generations of Eagle Scouts. Among them is Gov. Rick Perry, who achieved Scouting's highest rank growing up in the small town of Paint Creek.

The membership debate was closely followed by local Scouts on both sides; some carried signs and held rallies outside the meeting place. But in subsequent months, the debate has quieted.

Bill Helfand, scoutmaster of Troop 55 in Houston, said membership in his troop has remained steady at about 225 boys.

"We never considered sexual orientation, and I don't think many troops really did," Helfand said. "I don't know whether we had Scouts who are homosexual. I don't inquire … It's not a matter of concern."

Helfand said the membership debate, while closely covered in the media, did not extend into his meetings with leaders and parents, besides occasional discussion of the policy at camp-outs. He says he hasn't talked to any Scout about his sexual orientation and doesn't intend to.

However, some Texas parents and leaders have decided to switch to Trail Life USA, an alternative which declares itself "a Christian adventure, character, and leadership program for young men." Among them is Ron Orr, a business consultant from the Fort Worth area who is signing up local units for the group.

So far, he said he has 25 groups "pre-chartered" for a Jan. 1 launch date in the territory covered by the BSA's Circle Ten and Longhorn councils. That's modest compared to the 39,000 Scouts served by the Circle Ten council alone.

Orr is part of a family with four generations of Eagle Scouts. His older son recently earned his Eagle rank and his younger son was on the verge of doing likewise. But Orr said he could not stand by after the policy change.

"As Christians, from a scriptural basis, we love all folks, but the scripture is very clear that being homosexual is a sin," Orr said. "We've got to be able to hold a strong line and set a consistent example for our young men."

Orr said his decision to cut ties with the BSA rested in part on the Scout Oath, which includes the admonition to remain "morally straight."

Il vaut mieux être bien assis avant d’ouvrir le rapport de la branche européenne de l’OMS intitulé « Standards pour l’éducation sexuelle en Europe ».

En 2010, ce rapport est livré en anglais et en russe ; un an plus tard, le site Internet de l’OMS affirmait déjà que « plusieurs pays [avaient] traduit et mis en œuvre ces normes ».

C’est l’équivalent suisse du Planning familial « Santé sexuelle » qui est à l’origine d’une traduction française accessible au public, cette année. Une pétition a été lancée en France contre ce rapport, affirmant qu’il était sur les bureaux des ministères. Difficile de le savoir. Ce qui est sûr, c’est que notre gouvernement partage la même idéologie ; ils l’ont prouvé cette année… et le pire est à craindre.

On passe outre l’innocence des poupons et on démarre au berceau : de zéro à quatre ans, il est temps d’apprendre la « masturbation enfantine », de laisser l’enfant exprimer « ses besoins, ses désirs et ses limites » – sexuels, entendons-nous bien – en « jouant au docteur ».

Inutile de protester, l’OMS a anticipé la réaction des parents réacs qui refuseraient que quiconque « joue au docteur » avec leur nourrisson : « Ce programme se confrontera à une résistance fondée sur des peurs et des préjugés. »

Prière de ravaler vos préjugés et de laisser faire les pros. Forte de ses « spécialistes », l’OMS propose en effet « une information objective, scientifiquement correcte », quand les parents ne sont que « sources informelles ». Les États relais veilleront …

Jeudi, Najat Vallaud-Belkacem annonçait qu’elle envisageait de retirer une part fiscale aux familles dont un seul membre travaille. Difficile de ne pas y voir un moyen de séparer les enfants de ces « sources informelles », obstacles potentiels au bon endoctrinement… Mères de famille qui avez à cœur d’aider vos enfants à grandir : au travail, pendant que l’État s’occupe de vos enfants « scientifiquement ».

Reprenons. Ils ont quatre ans et, outre la masturbation, connaissent « les différentes sortes de relations familiales » et savent qu’ils peuvent « explorer les différentes identités sexuelles ».

Il est donc temps d’apprendre « l’égalité entre les sexes », les émotions liées à l’amour que sont « jalousie, colère, agressivité et déception », et enfin « l’amitié et l’amour envers les personnes de même sexe ».

Ayant fêté leurs six ans, bien conscients des « différentes normes en matière de sexualité », il est urgent de leur parler « éjaculation et menstruation » et « méthodes de contraception ». Oui, à six ans. Puis on enchaîne sur « les rôles socialement associés aux genres ».

Du coup, de neuf à douze, on explore le monde du Planning familial, des MST, des orientations sexuelles en insistant sur « l’influence des inégalités liées au genre » et du coup, la pression exercée par « le groupe, la culture, la religion, la loi ». Passé douze ans, il reste à parler d’avortement et de « grossesse dans les couples de même sexe ».

Les petits de quinze ans aborderont alors la PMA, la GPA, le don de sperme et la prostitution pour que l’éducation soit complète.

Alors, non seulement les rédacteurs souhaitent en faire « un cadre de référence » en Europe, mais en bons colonisateurs mondialistes rêvent de l’imposer « comme argumentaire pour un plaidoyer en faveur de l’introduction d’une éducation sexuelle holistique dans chaque pays ».

Il convient donc de rappeler l’histoire de David Reimer, l’un des premiers cobayes de ce genre d’éducation. Elevé comme une fille à la suite d’une circoncision ratée, il a subi toutes les étapes clés de ce rapport, avant d’apprendre la vérité et de « redevenir » un garçon.

À 38 ans, c’est le suicide qu’il a finalement « choisi ».
