Une nouvelle loi proposée par la Commission européenne souhaite l’illégalité de la pousse, la reproduction ou la vente des semences de végétaux qui n’ont pas été testées et approuvées par une nouvelle autorité, l’Agence européenne des variétés végétales. En criminalisant la culture privée de légumes, la Commission européenne remettrait le contrôle de l’approvisionnement alimentaire à des sociétés comme Monsanto.

Les eurodéputés verts voient d’un mauvais oeil la proposition de la Commission jugée « contreproductive et dangereuse »: « La biodiversité est en danger. Les multinationales ont focalisé leurs efforts sur la création de plantes à haut rendement, mais qui sont fragiles. Elles ne peuvent subsister que dans un environnement artificialisé dépendant des engrais chimiques et des pesticides, donc du pétrole », affirme José Bové.

Plus de semences régionales, plus de variétés ancestrales ou endémiques. Bref des semences F1, transgéniques ou pire OGM. Fin de la bio-variété dans nos jardins. Fini les jardins ouvriers et les marchés d’échanges de plants et semences entre particuliers. Bref finie la bonne bouffe.

Le texte pondu par notre chère commission européenne, rien que le titre vaut le jus : « Des règles plus intelligentes pour des denrées alimentaires plus sûres: la Commission propose un paquet législatif primordial pour moderniser, simplifier et renforcer la filière agroalimentaire en Europe ».

After thousands of cafeteria professionals complained about first lady Michelle Obama’s “healthy” school-lunch program, the White House responded with a roundtable discussion.

“Holding a roundtable discussion? That’s a joke,” said Cheryl Chumley, author of “Police State USA: How Orwell’s Nightmare is Becoming Our Reality.”

“Kids have been complaining about being hungry. Schools have been complaining about losing money. But Michelle Obama doesn’t care – her lunch menus are right, and parents in America are wrong, and that’s all there is to it. It’s ultimate nanny-state governance, made worse by the fact that the first lady isn’t even duly elected.”

Republicans have introduced measures for schools that can show a six-month financial loss from the first lady’s lunch-menu program to opt out. Meanwhile, Democrats and Republicans on the Senate Appropriations Committee just found consensus on a rule to roll back sodium limits in foods served in schools. But to Chumley, those concessions don’t go far enough.

“How about a bill to get rid of this ridiculous rule? The idea of a first lady trolling through our school cafeterias looking for food that she feels doesn’t meet the nutritional needs of our kids smacks of communist-style tactics,” Chumley said. “We don’t need politicians telling us how to eat. We certainly don’t need the first lady wagging her finger at us, telling us that we don’t know how to properly feed our kids.”

The roundtable event held Tuesday was with school nutrition directors from New York City, Los Angeles and rural Georgia. The specially invited guests all told the first lady “success stories” about their work, according to reports.

“We’re not just talking about food, we’re talking about education,” David Binkle of the Los Angeles Unified School District said, according to AP.

Obama asked for advice on making the program better and listened to suggestions that some schools need exemptions from the law.

AP reported the president of the School Nutrition Association, Leah Schmidt, noted that people with concerns about the program were not invited by Obama.

“Our request for flexibility under the new standards does not come from industry or politics, it comes from thousands of school cafeteria professionals who have shown how these overly prescriptive regulations are hindering their effort to get students to eat health school meals,” she told AP.

Agriculture Department officials already have been making modifications in an attempt to make the program workable.

White House chef Sam Kass said the discussion was for school officials and nutritionists and would prove to a world outside of Washington, D.C., that “these standards are really working.”

Par cette ruse, la FAO, va faire la vie dure, sous le couvert de les aider, à tous ces pêcheurs en mettant en place des lois draconiennes et ainsi les grandes entreprises bien équipées pourront venir voler les ressources de ces régions tout en laissant les miettes aux populations. L'ONU, ensuite arrivera avec un article que la famine sévit dans ce pays et que cela prendrait des $$$ de dollars pour aider ses populations. Voilà comment cela marche. Avec ses nouvelles réformes, il devient de plus en plus difficile, même le petit pêcheur du dimanche ou celui qui veut nourrir sa famille, d'avoir accès à cette nourriture gratuite, donné par le Créateur.

10 juin 2014 – Le Comité des pêches (COFI), qui est un organe de l'Organisation des Nations Unies pour l'alimentation et l'agriculture (FAO), a adopté mardi une série de directives qui renforceront la contribution déjà vitale des petits pêcheurs à la sécurité alimentaire mondiale, à la nutrition et à l'éradication de la pauvreté, a annoncé la FAO.

Ces directives ont pour but de soutenir les millions de petits pêcheurs, en particulier dans les pays en développement, en défendant leurs droits humains et en sauvegardant l'exploitation durable des ressources ichtyques dont ils dépendent pour vivre.

Selon la FAO, les pêches artisanales emploient plus de 90% des pêcheurs de capture et des travailleurs de la pêche - dont la moitié environ de femmes - et fournissent quelque 50% des prises mondiales de poisson. Elles constituent une source précieuse de protéines animales pour des milliards de personnes dans le monde et soutiennent souvent les économies locales des communautés implantées près de la mer, d'un lac ou d'un cours d'eau.

Cependant, malgré leur importance, de nombreuses communautés de petits pêcheurs continuent d'être marginalisées. Souvent situées dans des zones reculées ayant un accès limité aux marchés à la santé, à l'éducation et autres services sociaux, les petits pêcheurs ont du mal à faire entendre leur voix.

Ils sont confrontés à toute une gamme d'enjeux -des conditions de travail dangereuses et insalubres au manque d'infrastructures, sans oublier la pollution, la dégradation de l'environnement, le changement climatique et les catastrophes qui menacent les ressources dont ils dépendent. Ils peuvent aussi être victimes de luttes de pouvoir inégales et de droits précaires sur les ressources en terres et en poisson.

« La portée des Directives volontaires approuvées aujourd'hui est donc vaste, allant de mesures pour l'amélioration des systèmes de gouvernance des pêches et des conditions de travail et de vie, aux recommandations sur la manière dont les pays peuvent aider les petits pêcheurs et travailleurs de la pêche à réduire les pertes et gaspillages après récolte », note la FAO.

« Ces directives représentent une avancée importante et sont un outil primordial qui permettra d'encourager la mise en œuvre de politiques nationales en faveur des petits pêcheurs, afin qu'ils renforcent leur contribution fondamentale à la sécurité alimentaire, à la nutrition et à l'éradication de la pauvreté. La FAO s'engage à soutenir les pays pour la mise en œuvre des Directives volontaires », a souligné le Directeur général de la FAO, José Graziano da Silva.

« L'approbation des directives intervient à un moment particulièrement opportun durant l'Année internationale de l'agriculture familiale, alors que nous nous efforçons de cibler l'attention sur les besoins des petits producteurs alimentaires. Je remercie tous ceux qui ont pris part à ce processus », a-t-il déclaré.

Les directives viennent compléter les instruments internationaux existants, tels que le Code de conduite de la FAO pour une pêche responsable (1995) et les Directives volontaires pour une Gouvernance responsable des régimes fonciers applicables aux terres, aux pêches et aux forêts (2012) du Comité de la sécurité alimentaire mondiale.

Les Etats membres sont réunis pour la 31ème session du COFI au siège de la FAO à Rome jusqu'à la fin de la semaine.

The popular agriculture company Monsanto is partnering with First Lady Michelle Obama to promote nutritional foods for kids. According to reports from the Associated Press, Monsanto will spend $50 million over five years on a campaign to market ‘healthy’ genetically modified food to children. The agrochemical company will also bring its food offerings for kids in line with the new federal standards for labeling and nutrition.

Obama announced her intentions in front of crates of fresh produce on Thursday. “When I see a company like Monsanto launch an initiative like this, I feel more hopeful than ever before,” said the First Lady. “We can improve how we make and sell food in this country.”

“It’s a natural extension of what we do,” Monsanto vice president, Michael Stern, told the AP in reference to the new partnership with the first lady.

Throughout the First Lady’s trademark campaign, “Let’s Move,” she has attempted to tackle childhood obesity by promoting healthy eating. Although the first lady has largely avoided pursuing big food corporations, most often detailing the importance of personal responsibility and fitness rather than government interference, there are signs that she’s getting more aggressive. Late last year she convened a White House summit to convince agribusiness to rethink their marketing efforts towards children.

Conservatives, who have blasted Obama’s efforts to improve public school lunches as “the nanny state personified,” are equally displeased with her ventures into the private sector. “Get ready to see Michelle Obama’s face plastered all over your local grocery stores,” said one right-wing blogger.

For Michelle Obama, Monsanto represents a key ally, albeit a controversial one. It is the leading producer of genetically engineered seeds in the country and works with a vast array of farmers across the world. One move by Monsanto can ripple throughout the industry, and the company has grown increasingly bold in tackling complex social and political issues.

“We are obviously conscious about where we walk and who we walk with,” said Sam Kass, assistant White House chef and coordinator of food initiatives. “But it was clear that this is potentially transformative.”

In recent years, Monsanto has reached out to Democrats and sought out political appointments within government. Michael Taylor, Monsanto’s former Vice President for Public Policy, is now Deputy Commissioner of the Federal Drug and Food Administration. Time will tell how these ties between Monsanto and the federal government effect our nation’s youth.

A mother claims staff at a nursery refused to let her daughter eat a chicken sandwich - because it wasn't halal.

Yasmin Jackson, 24, claims staff at Kingswood Daycare Nursery in Mitcham, south London, 'starved' her five-year-old daughter Amari over concerns about the meat in her packed lunch.

And police are now investigating possible race and religious offences against the nursery after an online campaign surrounding the incident.

Furore: Yasmin Jackson and her daughter Amari, who she claims was not allowed to eat her sandwich as the nursery has a halal meat-only policy. She is pictured with a letter from the council telling her to provide lunch.

She took Amari to the first day of a summer play scheme at the nursery with a packed lunch on Monday, as instructed by Merton Council.
But when she collected Amari in the afternoon, she found her child hadn't been allowed to eat the chicken salad sandwich, houmous, carrots and a chocolate bar in her lunch box.

Ms Jackson, a single mother and former nursery worker, said: 'When I picked her up at the end of the day the first thing she said to me was, "mummy I'm really hungry, can I have my lunch now?"

'I went to speak to the manager and I said "why wasn't my daughter allowed her lunch" and she said "we didn't know it was healthy".

'And she said "the form was wrong, you weren't meant to send a lunch as it is provided here. We gave her a small portion of spaghetti pasta and an apple".

'And she said we didn't know if it's halal.

'I said we are a Christian family and it was a chicken sandwich.

'And she said "we don't allow any non-halal meat in the nursery". So I thought "this is just ridiculous".'

A government official appears at a man’s door.  The man has been breaking the law: He has sold bread baked at home.

This isn’t a page from Kafka—it happened to Mark Stambler in Los Angeles.

For decades, Stambler has followed traditional methods to bake loaves of French bread.  The ingredients are simple: distilled water, sea salt, wild yeast and organic grains.  Stambler even mills the grain himself.  To make it easier to steam loaves, he built a wood-fired oven in his own backyard. 
Stambler’s loaves came in first place at the Los Angeles County Fair and the California State Fair.


Soon after that, Stambler got the idea to expand his hobby into a home business, which became Pagnol Boulanger.  Word of mouth spread.  In June 2011, The Los Angeles Times profiled Stambler and his bread in a full-page feature.

Unlike his bread, that profile was bittersweet.  He was busted the very next day.  As he described it, the health department “descended like a ton of bricks on the two stores that were selling my bread…they could no longer sell my bread.”

An inspector from the health department even showed up at his doorstep to make sure “no bread baking was taking place.”  For the next 18 months, Pagnol Boulanger was forced to go on hiatus.

That’s when he “became an activist,” Stambler said in an email interview.

He started researching other states’ cottage food laws, which allow homemade food to be sold.   To qualify as a cottage food, it must be designated by the state as “non-potentially hazardous,” meaning it has a low risk of spreading bacteria.

Out of the blue, he got a call from his Assemblyman, Mike Gatto, who read The Los Angeles Times profile, and wanted to help him and other small businesses.

Stambler helped Assemblyman Gatto draft the California Homemade Food Act (AB 1616) to legalize cottage food.  AB 1616 was overwhelmingly popular with lawmakers, passing the California State Assembly 60 to 16 and unanimously passing the state Senate in August 2012.  Upon signing the bill, Gov. Jerry Brown praised AB 1616 as a way to “make it easier for people to do business in California.”

In January 2013, just a few days after the law went into effect, Stambler became the first person in Los Angeles County to sell homemade food legally.  Since he’s re-started his business, he hasn’t received a single complaint from consumers.

More home bakers have followed.  In Los Angeles County, there are almost 270 cottage food businesses.  Statewide, over 1,200 homemade food businesses have been approved.

Under the California Homemade Food Act, local governments cannot ban cottage food businesses based in private homes.  Instead, home-based entrepreneurs can sell their goods after passing a “food processor course” (which can be done online), properly labeling their goods and practicing common-sense sanitation when cooking and baking.  Those who want to start their own cottage food business legally need only register or obtain a permit, as either a Class A or Class B operation.

The two permits distinguish between the types of cottage food business an entrepreneur may want to run.  Class A businesses are exempt from routine inspections, but can only engage in “direct sales,” i.e., straight to the customer.  That includes farmers’ markets, bake sales and from the home business itself.  Meanwhile, Class B operations require inspections, but also allow “indirect sales” to third-party retailers, like restaurants, bakeries, delis, groceries and food trucks.

Both Class A and B businesses can directly sell throughout the entire state. Yet indirect sales are still limited to the county where the Class B operation is based.

Stambler predicts the act will help boost his sales in the long-run.  “As of now, though, they’re not back to where they were before I was busted,” he said.


In California, bread, biscuits, candy, chocolates, churros, coffee, cookies, cupcakes, dried pasta, tortillas, trail mix, popcorn, vinegar, tea, nut butters, mustard, dried fruits and some jams and jellies all qualify as cottage food.  But selling homemade food that contains meat, seafood or dairy is still verboten.

So far, cottage food businesses appear to be safe.  A dozen county public health departments report they have yet to receive a single complaint about them.  Nor did these departments have to revoke any permits.  (Other county departments of public health either do not track that information or did not return comment.)

Not only can cottage food laws free entrepreneurs from Kafkaesque government inspections, using their own kitchens to bake means they no longer have to rent out commercial kitchens, which can be expensive and not available in every city.

Take Patricia Kline.  Her “ipies,” mini fruit pies about the size of a cupcake, have been featured in O magazine and The Wall Street Journal.  Yet before AB 1616 was enacted, Patricia was forced to pay $25 an hour to rent space from a commercial kitchen to bake them.

“The biggest barrier to starting a food business is finding and keeping a commercial kitchen,” she remarked.  “And once you do have a kitchen, you have to compete with other food producers who also want to use the space.”  In the middle of her busiest season, Kline once lost her spot at four different commercial kitchens.

But thanks to the cottage food law, she can instead use her own kitchen at her apartment in San Francisco, slashing her costs.  She’s also gained “flexibility in baking:”  “The law has enabled me to take advantage of last minute orders.”

In addition to whipping out ipies and cookies, Kline offers baking classes, helps guide other budding food artisans on legal compliance and donates a portion of her proceeds each year to the Alzheimer’s Association, since Alzheimer’s afflicted her mother.

Baylen Linnekin, executive director of the nonprofit Keep Food Legal, praised the law as a “tremendous success”  for “unshackling small food entrepreneurs.”  But other small business owners feel left out by the law.

One such owner is Debra Baretta, who runs a baking company, Mama Baretta, in Penngrove. She bakes gluten-free and organic cookies, breads and pastries and uses sites like the Non-GMO Project to source her ingredients.  But California caps how much people can earn as a cottage food business.  So by the time the law went into effect, Mama Baretta had already passed the sales cap.  The law is “good if you don’t want to ever grow into a larger company,” she said in an interview.

In 2013, the cap was set at $35,000 in annual gross sales but rose to $45,000 for 2014.  From 2015 onward, that number will rise and then top out at $50,000.

Since the cottage food law does not apply to Baretta, she still has to rent out a professional kitchen.  Even though she bakes just two nights a week at a kitchen owned by a nonprofit, her rent is $2,200 a month.  Baretta earned over $100,000 in revenue in last year but now growth has “pretty much stalled.”

So she recommends scrapping the cap entirely.  According to a report by the Harvard Food Law & Policy Clinic, 20 states have no sales cap whatsoever on selling homemade food.  That’s almost half of all states that have a cottage food law.

Then there are other reforms homemade food entrepreneurs want enacted.  Kline would like to see the state expand indirect sales for the entire state (as direct sales currently are) and permit third-party delivery of cottage food products.  Stambler has called for expanding the list of “non-potentially hazardous” approved foods.  He also cannot use his backyard oven to bake bread he wants to sell, since the state law only applies to kitchens.

But as that Harvard study makes clear, California is still one of the better states for homemade food producers.  On the opposite spectrum for cottage food freedom are states like Minnesota.  The Land of 10,000 Lakes has one of the lowest sales caps on cottage food in the nation, banning people from selling more than $5,000 in a year.  That’s less than $100 a week.

In addition, cottage food entrepreneurs in Minnesota can only sell at farmers markets and special events.  Unlike California, online orders and indirect sales are banned.  That greatly limits their growth.  Renegade bakers can face fines of up to $7,500 or three months in jail.

Minnesota’s law is so restrictive, it triggered litigation.  Last November, two home bakers in Minnesota teamed up with the Institute for Justice to sue their state for its “arbitrary and unreasonable” cottage food law.


“If you have a recipe and an oven, you should be able to start a business,” quipped Katelynn McBride, IJ attorney and lead counsel on the case.

The contrast between the two states is striking.  By liberalizing its food regulations, California has fostered a cottage industry of cottage food.

It did not take long for the city of Fort Lauderdale to make good on the promise to criminally charge those who violate a new ordinance that effectively outlaws groups from feeding the homeless in public.

On Sunday the city charged three people, including two ministers and a 90-year-old homeless advocate, and they could face up to 60 days in jail for their crime.

90-year-old Arnold Abbott prepares hundreds of meals each week for the homeless in the kitchen of the Sanctuary Church.

"I fully believe that I am my brother's keeper. Love they neighbor as thy self," he says.

But Abbott's work now has him in trouble with the law.

He faces possible jail time and a $500 fine for feeding the homeless after he was charged Sunday with violating a new ordinance that virtually outlaws groups from sharing food with the hungry in the city.

Abbott recalls, "One of police officers came over and said 'Drop that plate right now,' as if I was carrying a weapon. "

Also charged was a minister from Coral Springs and Sanctuary Church pastor, Wayne Black.

Pastor Black says, "We believe very strongly that Jesus taught us that we are to feed his sheep."

Mayor Jack Seiler warned arrests were coming, "We enforce the laws here in Fort Lauderdale."

Back in 1999 Abbott sued the city for banning him from feeding homeless on beach, a lawsuit he won.

Abbott says, "I'm going to have to go to court again to sue the city of Fort Lauderdale, the beautiful city. These are the poorest of the poor. They have nothing. Don't have a roof over their head, and who could turn them away?"

Abbott plans on firing up his stoves again on Wednesday when he has another food sharing plan for the beach. He says he doesn't want to be arrested but he's prepared for the possibility.

(Let it be noted that the petition garnered only 50 signatures while passed around the internet.)

According to the Quranic definition, halal livestock should be slaughtered by slitting the throat of the beast, bleeding the animal out by the throat, all while invoking the name of Allah in prayer. It’s often argued that halal slaughter is the most humane form of butchery, claiming that the animal endures as little pain and suffering as possible, but the documented videos reveal the ugly truth.

La mesure qui vient d’être prise par le ministère israélien de l’agriculture — non ce n’est pas une blague— concerne le citoyens d’Israël et interdit à ceux qui ne sont pas juifs d’élever des poulets, de produire des œufs et de cultiver des pommes de terre !

« Cette activité est un droit exclusif des juifs dans les villages coopératifs (moshav) », viennent de décréter les autorités israéliennes.

Les œufs produits par les structures palestiniennes (« Palestiniens de 1948 », ceux qui ont la citoyenneté israélienne), ont disparu du marché en quelques jours et ont été remplacés par des œufs israéliens produits dans coopératives juives construites sur les ruines des villages palestiniens détruits pendant la Nakba. Les autorités de Tel Aviv ont également publié un décret interdisant aux « Arabes » de cultiver des pommes de terre, cédant aux pressions des producteurs israéliens. Les autorités avaient découvert que la production de pommes de terre est bon marché et une source importante de revenus pour les Palestiniens, souligne Zouheir Andraos sur le site en anglais d’Al-Akhbar.


Dans ce même article, publié et traduit par le site d’ISM France, il rapporte que le « ministère israélien de l’environnement a également interdit récemment aux Palestiniens d’Israël de cueillir des plantes couramment utilisées dans l’alimentation par les Palestiniens (comme le thym et la mauve), qui ne sont ni connues ni consommées par les juifs. » Cela a conduit le gouvernement israélien à donner instruction à ses prétendues autorités de la Protection de l’Environnement de poursuivre « les voleurs de plantes ». Il a officiellement annoncé que ces plantes étaient « des espèces protégées et ceux qui les ramassent seront poursuivis en justice. »

Les autorités de Protection de l’Environnement ont commencé à infliger des amendes aux Palestiniens qui cueillaient « des plantes protégées ». Pendant ce temps, des commerçants juifs, qui venaient de découvrir l’importance de ces plantes pour les Palestiniens, ont demandé les autorisations nécessaires au ministère de l’Agriculture pour les cultiver et les vendre sur les marchés arabes. Les Palestiniens de l’intérieur sont devenus la cible d’un commerce israélien lucratif et populaire.

Dans le même contexte, les autorités d’occupation ont trouvé un autre canal pour accroître la mainmise économique sur les Palestiniens : la société de cigarettes Dubek (le seul cigarettier israélien) a annoncé qu’elle allait cesser d’acheter du tabac aux agriculteurs arabes. Le tabac est l’une des principales cultures de rapport pour les Palestiniens, en particulier en Galilée, à l’intérieur de ce qu’on appelle la ligne verte. Israël aura ainsi détruit l’une des cultures arabes les plus importantes en Palestine, et a commencé à importer le tabac de son allié turc.


Persistant dans sa guerre économique et en collaboration avec la Jordanie, Israël a récemment fermé les petits ateliers de couture et de tricot en Galilée, dans le Triangle et dans le Negev (Naqab), la principale source de revenus pour de nombreuses familles palestiniennes. Les autorités d’occupation ont l’intention de les déplacer en Jordanie, sous prétexte que la main d’œuvre y est bon marché. La rumeur dit cependant que le projet vise à soutenir la fragile économie jordanienne, en plus de la détermination de l’occupation de couper les sources de revenus des Palestiniens de 1948.

La politique de mainmise économique adoptée par Israël a entraîné le chômage d’un tiers de la main-d’œuvre dans le Naqab et à Umm al-Fahm. Elle a creusé l’écart entre le chômage palestinien et israélien, avec un taux de chômage de 25 pour cent pour les Palestiniens, et de 6,5 pour cent pour les Israéliens. Les mêmes statistiques indiquent que la moitié des enfants palestiniens dans les territoires de 1948 vivent actuellement en dessous du seuil de pauvreté. »

What you will see in my video below is a small sample of eye witness accounts from just the last couple of weeks, showing that in cities and states across America, shelves are emptying and critical food supplies are dwindling for the everyday, ordinary American just trying to feed their family. Furthermore, you will see that certain "food nazi's" think it is their right to question the foods and items that you are purchasing with invasive questions. This is reminiscent of earlier reports showing that the government has targeted preppers by asking people to report "suspicious purchases," including flashlights and MREs.

These eye witness accounts are all listed over at Steve Quayle's Alert section and while I only show a few in the video, by clicking over, readers can go through them all and see for themselves that these are coming in from all over the country and increasing in frequency.... indicating that the countdown has begun. I would also suggest going to Quayle's archive page and under the search feature type in "Food" or "Food shortages" which will bring up a list of articles from around the Internet all dealing with this same issue.

As stated in the first video below, Quayle was the first to warn, over a decade ago, that when the end drew near, the government would use food and water as a weapon, in order to control the populace. Face it, if your family is going hungry and cannot get food, you would do almost anything, including letting the government control you, in order to feed your children.

Yesterday Live Free or Die reported here at ANP on an email we received detailing how tremendous orders for MREs by FEMA and the USDA is occurring right now and these are being shipped to underground locations, which ties right in with another recent report of how vanishing money, gold and food is being stored for certain government members and the elite in "Doomsday Lairs."

Something is coming... it is big, it is bad,  and the US government and other governments across the globe are preparing for it... hopefully you are as well.

This is not only happening here in America, articles are coming out now about Africa and how 1 million could be facing a food shaortage by March 2015, and Russian food suppliers have halted shipments due to the economic woes they are suffering.... food shortages are being reported on across the globe by the American media, yet they downplay the shortages people are reporting right here in the USA. Famine reports are being seen across the globe. The price of ground beef has hit yet another high and we are warned that there will be an egg shortage, but none of these stories connect the dots, they are reported as separate, individual stories.... the big picture is never brought into focus for those reading.

Food being used as a weapon is not a new "theory" as evidenced by this July 2013 article which reminds readers that the 1974 UN World Food Conference set the stage for "Food as a weapon."

There were several measures that Kissinger advocated to deal with this alleged threat, most prominently, birth control and related population-reduction programs. He also warned that "population growth rates are likely to increase appreciably before they begin to decline," even if such measures were adopted.

A second measure was curtailing food supplies to targeted states, in part to force compliance with birth control policies: "There is also some established precedent for taking account of family planning performance in appraisal of assistance requirements by AID [U.S. Agency for International Development] and consultative groups. Since population growth is a major determinant of increases in food demand, allocation of scarce PL 480 resources should take account of what steps a country is taking in population control as well as food production. In these sensitive relations, however, it is important in style as well as substance to avoid the appearance of coercion." - Source

  Un Intermarché poursuit en justice trois personnes qui ont « frauduleusement soustrait des denrées périssables, avec dates dépassées » et destinées à être jetées.  

Trois personnes doivent être jugées, mardi 3 février par le tribunal correctionnel de Montpellier, pour avoir récupéré des produits périmés destinés à être jetés dans l'enceinte d’un Intermarché de Frontignan dans l'Hérault, rapporte Le Midi libre.

La grande surface leur reproche d’avoir, le 27 mai dernier, « frauduleusement soustrait des denrées périssables, avec dates dépassées ». Un collectif de soutien, dénonçant une procédure « ahurissante et intolérable », a appelé à manifester devant le palais de justice de Montpellier mardi en début d’après-midi. « La pauvreté est peu à peu criminalisée, cette histoire est un exemple flagrant », poursuit-il.

For those who have been following the recent ISM reports, one of the recurring concerns of respondents in both the manufacturing and service sector has been the congestion at West Coast Ports - which handled 43.5% of containerized cargo in the U.S and where transiting cargo accounted for 12.5% of US GDP - as a result of reduced work output by the local unions who have been more focused in recent weeks on ongoing wage hike negotiations. 



And according to the latest update from the 29 west coast ports that serve as the entry point of the bulk of Asia/Pac trade into and out of the US, things are about to get far worse for America's manufacturing base, because as RILA reported earlier, talks between the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) representing port management, and the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) officially broke down on Wednesday, and without an agreement, experts have suggested that nearly 30 west coast ports could be shut down within a week.

As RILA reports, "a work slowdown during contract negotiations over the past seven months has already created logistic nightmares for American exporters, manufacturers and retailers dependent on an efficient supply chain. A complete shutdown would be catastrophic, with hundreds of thousands of jobs at risk if America’s supply chain grinds to a halt."

“The slowdown is already making life difficult, but a shutdown could derail the economy completely,” said Kolb. “For retailers specifically, a shutdown will have dire consequences for those dependent on spring inventory demand.”
 
The last prolonged port shutdown of the West Coast ports was the 10-day lockout in 2002 which was estimated to cost the U.S. economy close to $1 billion a day.
 
“A port shutdown of even a short duration could derail economic growth and cause long-lasting damage and job losses across the country,” said Kolb. “There needs to be a greater sense of urgency at the White House, before it’s too late.”

The association of shipping lines, terminal operators and stevedores made public details of its contract offer, including 3 percent annual raises over five years, retaining employer-paid health care, and raising pensions by 11 percent. The average dockworker now makes $147,000 a year in salary, plus $35,000 a year in employer-paid health care and an annual pension of $80,000, according to an association press release.



And while there hasn't been a formal lock out yet, the reality is that the workers have made their displeasure felt loud and clear:

Some of the impacts of the already experienced slowdown has included keeping U.S.-raised Christmas trees from reaching consumers in Asia, depriving McDonald’s customers in Japan of french fries, and stranded shipments of Mardi Gras beads bound for New Orleans.

Should talks fall apart, it probably will not be the end of the world: a nearly identical situation developed one decade ago leading to a 10 day lock down and which ended up costing the US economy $10 billion per day:

In the conference call, McKenna said the two sides remain at odds over wages, pensions, the duration of the contract and arbitration for workplace disputes. He said the sides are “far apart” on some issues and nearing agreement on others.
 
The parties negotiated many of the same issues in 2002 before the maritime association locked out workers for 10 days amid slowdowns. That stoppage, which ended when then-President George W. Bush invoked the Taft-Hartley Act, cost the U.S. economy $1 billion a day, the maritime association said.
 
A 20-day lockout now would cost more than $2 billion a day, the association said in a report last year, including losses to railroads, ocean carriers and the broader economy.



Which incidentally, in an economy that is desperate for any "one-time, non-recurring" item to explain what is now global secular stagnation and economic slowdown, an excuse such as a port strike, or a harsh winter, or a strong dollar, or plunging crude, may be precisely the scapegoat that the central-planning doctor ordered.

To encourage better food choices and eating habits for warfighters, the Defense Department is debuting its healthy eating program ”Go For Green on all military installations this year. Managed by the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, “Go For Green” uses a color-coded labeling system to make healthier food selections easier. Katie Kirkpatrick, a nutritionist at the university, said the program will go a long way towards improving the quality of life for warfighters.

“Our research has shown that using color-coded labeling systems is more effective and preferred in comparison to other labeling systems,” said Kirkpatrick.
The ”Go for Green” program provides education for diners,  promotes the selection of healthy choices at military dining facilities, and gives guidance when warfighters shop for groceries, prepare and cook food, and dine at restaurants. It also encourages dining facilities to serve more nutrient-dense green foods, such as kale, spinach and collard greens. ”Go for Green” will also heighten warfighters’ awareness of foods promoting readiness, good health, recovery and enhanced performance in the workplace.

“Location, placement and accessibility of food can have an impact on consumer choices,” Kirkpatrick said. “Through this program, we want to make green foods more visible and appealing so that warfighters and their families will not only eat healthier, but also make healthier life choices.”

”Go for Green” is based on the dietary guidelines for American military dietary reference intakes, nutrition standards and education, and the Department of Defense Food Service Program. The program is also derived from the United States Department of Agriculture’s “My Plate” program.Nutrition professionals in the Department of Defense working in the fields of nutrition education, food service, and health promotion also provided input.

In an attempt to curb the mass rush for food change and reform, psychiatry has green lighted a public relations push to spread awareness about their new buzzword “orthorexia nervosa,” defined as “a pathological obsession for biologically pure and healthy nutrition.” In other words, experts are saying that our demand for nutrient-dense, healthful food is a mental disorder that must be treated.

CNN, Fast Company, Popular Science, and other top outlets have all began to trumpet the talking points on cue relatively recently:

“Orthorexia nervosa is a label designated to those who are concerned about eating healthy. Characterized by disordered eating fueled by a desire for “clean” or “healthy” foods, those diagnosed with the condition are overly pre-occupied with the nutritional makeup of what they eat”.



In short, if you turn your back on low quality, corporate food containing known cancer causing toxic additives and a rich history of dishonesty rooted in a continuous “profits over people” modus operandi, then you may suffer from a mental illness. The cherry on top is that if you have the pseudo-science labeled disorder of orthorexia nervosa, you will be prescribed known toxic, pharmaceutical drugs from some of the same conglomerate corporations that you are trying to avoid by eating healthy in the first place.
 
  Orthorexia has not yet found its way into the latest edition of the psychiatric bible, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), yet is commonly being lumped in with other eating disorders. Stepping back and looking at the ones pushing this label on us shows highly questionable motives.

Psychiatry as a whole is deeply in bed with a pharmaceutical industry that makes the drugs to “treat” every one of these “disorders.” It is often these companies that are wielding influence behind the scenes to invent more mental health categories with their toxic products as the answer. This latest media push to popularize orthorexia as a mental disorder with a goal to marginalize or derail the food revolution appears to have been dead on arrival.

The psychiatric community has even deemed creativity to be a mental illness.

As the people continue to walk away from the broken medical and agricultural/food systems like any abusive relationship, the food makers are willing to do anything to maintain their waning control. Organic and non-GMO food markets have exploded in the last 5 years, so much so that any corporation wishing to not follow the trend risks financial hardship or ruin. In addition, pharmaceutical companies are feeling the strain as less people want their toxic medications and crippling side effects.

Perhaps some people to take it too far to the point of self-harm, but the problem we face with a toxic food system is a much larger threat. In closing, let’s be aware of some of the overall BS fed to us by the pharmaceutical bankrolled industry of psychiatry. When healthy eating and creativity are mental issues, something is amiss.

Dans un silence assourdissant, l'Office Européen des brevets (OEB) vient de décréter la brevetabilité du vivant ! Une interprétation des textes abracadabrantesque...



"Dépêchons-nous d'en rire, avant d'avoir à en pleurer"... se dit aujourd'hui le milliard et demi de paysans qui replante d'années en années les semences issues de leur propre récolte.

La Grande chambre des recours de l'OEB du 25 mars a décrété qu'un "produit obtenu par un procédé essentiellement biologique est brevetable". C'est-à-dire que toute nouvelle variété obtenue par croisement naturel, dont celles se développant toutes seules, comme des grandes, dans la nature, sont brevetables !

Petits recours entre amis

Reprenons. En 2002, un brevet sur le brocoli a été accordé à la société britannique Plant Bioscience, avant d'être contesté. Par des assoces crypto-complotisto-altermondialistes ? Non, pas du tout. Par Limagrain et Syngenta, deux géants de l'industrie biotechnologique, qui étaient alors aussi en attente de brevets du même (troisième) type. Curieux... Selon "No patents on seeds", la coalition internationale d'associations créée pour l'occasion, "il est probable que ces sociétés se soient principalement opposées à ce brevet pour que le Bureau Européen des Brevets confirme, au lieu de révoquer, la brevetabilité des graines traditionnelles".

Bonne pioche ! Après 13 années d'un insoutenable suspens, le résultat est enfin là : c'est open bar sur les brevets. Et des milliers de breloques en attente devraient être attribuées d'ici peu. Une voie royale ouverte à Syngenta, Monsanto et consorts pour prendre le contrôle de notre alimentation, y compris pour les variétés millénaires, comme pour ce brevet accordé en 2014 pour une variété de poivron copiée d’une plante sauvage existant en Jamaïque. Et, si leurs semences venaient à être brevetées, des centaines de millions de paysans seront contraints d'abandonner leurs graines ancestrales pour les racheter au prix fort à leurs fabricants. Un véritable désastre.

L'ONG "No patents on seeds" se raccroche tout de même à un très mince espoir : le parlement européen, de même que plusieurs pays, dont l'Allemagne, la France et les Pays-Bas, commencent timidement à réaliser l'ampleur du problème. Mais en Europe, c'est la Commission qui décide.

Lorsque Dieu a créé l'homme et la femme, il a bêtement oublié d'en déposer le brevet, si bien que maintenant le premier imbécile venu peut en faire autant. George Bernard Shaw = Non, ce que Dieu a donné aux hommes étaient gratuit. Il a créé toutes ses choses pour ses créatures, mais les méchants sont venus et se sont emparés de toutes les richesses et bienfaits donnés aux hommes, afin de les soumettre à leurs tyrannies.

Depuis le 23 avril, des paysans camerounais, ivoiriens, libériens et cambodgiens organisent une série d’actions de résistance. Ils dénoncent l’accaparement de leurs terres et les mauvaises conditions de travail sur les plantations de la société Socfin, dont Bolloré est l’actionnaire majoritaire.



Privés de leurs terres  et inquiets de l’expansion des plantations de la Socfin, des paysans africains et asiatiques se mobilisent. Leur première action a lieu sur la plantation camerounaise de Dibombarri où les paysans bloquent les bureaux, l’usine et l’embauche des ouvriers. Cette résistance paysanne se poursuivra au Cambodge, au Libéria puis en Côté d’Ivoire.

C’est l’ONG ReAct qui a mis en relation ces paysans victimes des abus de la même société, la Socfin. « Ces terres nous ont été volées. Nous venons maintenant les reprendre et les occuper jusqu’à ce qu’un accord avec Bolloré et la Sofcin soit trouvé » déclare le paysans camerounais Michel Essonga. Avec lui, 6 000 paysans ont vu leurs forêts détruites et 40 000 ha de leurs terres accaparés au Cameroun par la Socfin.

Depuis 2008, la holding luxembourgeoise Socfin, développe des plantations de palmiers à huile et d’hévéas dans plusieurs pays africains, en Indonésie ainsi qu’au Cambodge. Le capital de Socfin est détenu à 39% par le groupe Bolloré. En Afrique, les surfaces plantées par les filiales africaines de la société luxembourgeoise sont passées de 87 303 ha à 108 465 ha ces trois dernières années. Cette expansion rapide des plantations se fait au prix des terres des communautés locales qui y exercent  des droits coutumiers. « Ces expansions provoquent de graves conflits avec les populations riveraines qui sont privées de terres et voient leur conditions de vie sans cesse se dégrader » dénoncent l’Alliance des riverains.

Suite à la multiplication des tensions, le groupe Bolloré avait accepté en octobre dernier d’entamer un processus de négociation et de rencontrer les représentants des communautés. Mais les actionnaires belges historiques de la Sofcin refusent de dialoguer avec les communautés locales. Le groupe Bolloré a alors fait marche arrière pour s’aligner sur la position des actionnaires. Ce désengagement a accentué les frustrations. Les paysans sont déterminés à se mobiliser jusqu’à l’assemblée générale des groupes Sofcin (le 27 mai) et Bolloré (le 4 Juin), pour obtenir la reconnaissance de leurs droits à la terre.

SHREVEPORT, La. (NNS) -- Across the greater Northwest Louisiana area, senior citizens on a fixed or low income face a monthly choice. Out of their three most essential needs - medicine, housing and food - which of the two can they afford?

It's a choice that leaves a critical need left unaddressed and ultimately a pivoting risk that places added stress to an already stressful situation that at any moment could spiral leaving a community elder in fear of being homeless, sick or hungry.

In an effort to help lift this burdening catch 22, volunteers from the ballistic-missile submarine USS Louisiana (SSBN 743) and Navy Recruiting District (NRD) Houston teamed up with the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana April 27, to pack more than 3 tons of dry canned goods into 128 food boxes.

The boxes will be hand delivered in the coming weeks among 1,300 seniors across seven parishes currently active in the food bank's distribution program - saving them from having to sacrifice sustenance for medicine or shelter.

"On the day they expect these boxes, these shut-in seniors are waiting by the door," said Gene Haynes, the food bank's community relations coordinator. "They rely heavily on what we provide ... and we couldn't do what we do - period - without today's volunteers."

The local food bank receives donated food from both individual contributors and nearly all the major grocery chains allowing them to provide 8 million pounds of food to those in need each year. Navy recruiters stationed across these areas see the outcome of poverty through their daily interactions with the schools and communities they serve.

"The symbiotic nature of seeing a need and helping satisfy that need is indicative to the kind of positive effect those serving in America's Navy are able to accomplish throughout the world and in their own backyards," said Aviation Storekeeper 1st Class Joshua Williams, a recruiter stationed in Shreveport.

"Being local to the area as a recruiter, I know the help all of us provide as volunteers goes a long way," said Williams. "Smaller communities are always close knit and willing to help each other but manpower and availability can be difficult. We understand that, and it was great working alongside some shipmates from the fleet that thanks to Navy Week were able to be here. I'm excited for my fellow service members' ability to show Shreveport what their Navy can do for them."

People who are trying to do good for their families and the planet by living a simple life based on traditional skills are facing yet another assault.

Artisanal soap makers say new regulations, proposed by Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-California) and Senator Susan Collins (R-Maine), will put them out of business. Many soap makers are rural “kitchen table” operations that rely on the income to fund their simple living lifestyle.  Some use milk from goats they raise and ingredients they harvest from the land.

The Handmade Cosmetic Alliance posted this form on its website that can be used to reach out to elected representatives. 





The form includes a statement on behalf of handmade body care product makers that says, in part: “My products comply with FDA labeling requirements and the ingredients are commonly known (i.e, olive oil, oatmeal, sugar, coconut oil, etc).  My best customers are in my community. I cannot afford the user fees proposed in S. 1014. Further, my business has no capacity to do the reporting requirements for each product batch (10-50 units) as it could be several hundred FDA filings per month.” Those who sell online will also be affected.*

The view of Sen. Feinstein and her corporate backers (listed below) is that the Personal Care Products Safety Act (Senate Bill S.1014) will make the world a safer place by scrutinizing “everything from shampoo and hair dye to deodorant and lotion.” She introduced the amendment to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, because of troubling negative health effects from chemicals used in personal care products.  She says the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act should be more progressive like laws in Europe rather than antiquated US regulations in effect since the 1930s.

If the industries that back this law are really so concerned about safety, why don’t they voluntarily make healthy products, like the small time producers already do? I’m calling bullshit.

Methylene glycol, (an ingredient in the popular hair smoothing treatment known as the “Brazilian Blowout”) turns into formaldehyde when heated, and exposure has been reported to result in hair loss, rashes, blistered scalps, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, shortness of breath, vomiting and increased risk of cancer.

Propyl paraben, a preservative used in a wide range of products including shampoo, conditioner and lotion, mimics the hormone estrogen and can potentially disrupt the endocrine system and cause reproductive system disorders. She then goes on to say “consumers deserve to know that the products they use every day are safe.”

Huh? She just said they’re not safe, which is why I and many women already choose to spend a few dollars more on natural products. Feinstein does not propose to ban these dangerous ingredients from soaps and cosmetics, just regulate them with tests and warning labels, fees, and recall authority. She thinks some of these products, though harmful to health, magically become “safe when used by professionals in a salon or spa setting.” My question is; after a half century of so called feminism, why are women still knuckling under to  industry pressure and voluntarily paying to have these poisons applied to their bodies on a regular basis? But I digress.

It sounds like the problem could be more easily solved with an education campaign, and subsidies for the natural soap makers so they could offer their products for less and increase their market share. Why not include them on EBT cards so poor women can buy them — I mean, if you want to really be “progressive,” we need to be able to get them at the Dollar Store.



Other potentially dangerous chemicals Feinstein wants to clamp down on include:

Diazolidinyl Urea, which is used as a preservative in a wide range of products including deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, bubble bath and lotion.

Lead acetate, used as a color additive in hair dyes.

Quaternium-15, a preservative used in a wide range of products including shampoo, shaving cream, skin creams and cleansers.

The new law would require the FDA to review at least five chemicals used in personal care products each year… Wait a minute, isn’t there a revolving door between FDA, industry lobbyists, and Congress? Is this yet another example of bureaucratic job security while the small operator is forced out of business? Remember what happened last year, when the FDA wasted taxpayer (your) money on a stupid claim against Dr. Bronner?

Feinstein says her proposal is a “streamlined national system of oversight” and it won’t cost the taxpayer anything because it’s funded by industry user fees (until they pass the extra cost to the consumer, that is). Big multinational soap makers may be able to manage the increased fees and paperwork called for by Senate Bill S.1014 but the the Handmade Cosmetic Alliance says they will cripple their cottage industries. They tried to explain this to Feinstein without success.

The senator assures the new law encourages public input with many opportunities built in for consumer groups, companies, medical professionals, scientists and the public to weigh in …but according to the Handmade Cosmetic Alliance, they’re already not listening.

“The HCA had several meetings over many months with the sponsor of S. 1014 and presented information to support small business exemptions similar to those the 2011 Food Modernization Safety Act (FSMA). Sadly, a decision was made to use prescription drugs and medical device standards for small handmade cosmetic businesses.  This does not make sense.  My products are soaps, lotions and scrubs made largely with food-grade ingredients found in any grocery store,” according to the letter provided by HCA, that natural soap makers can send to lawmakers.

Des éléments problématiques concernant la mendicité agressive pourraient être intégrés au règlement général de police à Namur, a indiqué jeudi soir l’échevine aux compétences mayorales Anne Barzin lors du conseil communal. Il s’agit d’une piste de réflexion à la suite de la suspension d’une partie des dispositions du règlement, entré en vigueur le 1er juillet dernier pour une durée d’un an, après le recours introduit par la Ligue des Droits de l’Homme et l’asbl Luttes Solidarités Travail devant le Conseil d’Etat. La police constate une « explosion » de la mendicité depuis cette annonce. Cet arrêté communal interdisait de demander une quelconque aide sous forme d’aumône ou en proposant un service dans le centre-ville. « Rédiger un nouveau règlement est un travail conséquent pour une durée d’application de trois mois », ajoute l’échevine.

Former UN Secretary General and globalist pirate Kofi Annan has crawled out from under his rock to join the UN sales team in peddling their “surrender and bow in worship to Earth theology. The UN cockroach has a surprise twist for us, though. Part of his “smart” and “sustainable” climatocracy includes the prospect of switching to a bug diet. While Kofi and his fellow Africans might view a hissing Madagascar cockroach in his mouth as a rare treat, most Americans have watched enough Fear Factor for that idea to leave a bad taste in our mouths.

In an interview with the Guardian, Annan is prepping us all for the upcoming UN climate summit, attempting to weaken the resolve of the thinkers of the world and to bully us into mindless acceptance of their naked power and money grab. The truth is that if the planet is warming or cooling it would be a natural event that we had no part in and couldn’t do anything to alter even if we wanted to. We’re not in control of the Earth, we’re simply along for the ride. Kofi and company plan to take us for a ride as well.

The Guardian is a mouthpiece for the climate change alarmists and it was no accident that they were chosen as the vehicle for spreading the propaganda, with an extortionist-friendly approach. Annan was asked, “What’s your greatest fear for the future of our planet?”

Of course, Annan is no climatologist, but he is a communist, which for the United Nations is even better. After all, the science is not important, the narrative is. Annan has a background not unlike the usurper in the White House, having been educated by the Marxists at the Ford Foundation.

Now he even has his own foundation, every global pirate should have at least one. The Kofi Annan Foundation, was started in 2007. Its stated mission is to “promote better global governance and strengthen the capacities of people and countries to achieve a fairer, more peaceful [and less free] world.” Obedience and control equate with peace, and communism is their standard of fairness.

Annan is also chairman of “The Elders,” a global governance front group that was founded by his now deceased fellow Marxist agitator Nelson Mandela. One of its main goals is also the advancement of climate communism.

This globalist tool and Materialist has done quite well for himself in the deal he has made with the devil as his spokesman and operative for world enslavement. His alarmist message included the usual hysteria, that if we don’t immediately pretend that something that isn’t happening is an emergency it will be too late to reverse what isn’t taking place. All we have to give up is our eroding standard of living, our prosperity, our self-determination, our freedom and our sovereignty to a group of wannabe tyrannical dictators. What’s the big deal?

His claims included the fear-inspiring terms of “tipping point” and “irreversible” and the message that our selfishness in wanting to prosper as our parents did is somehow going to doom future generations who would also, themselves, like to have that opportunity to a life of liberty and happiness, free of tyranny.

It is ironic argument they make, pressing us to doom ourselves and our descendents to a life under hopeless tyranny as a supposed protection of their futures.

Annan said he seeks a “universal and binding climate agreement” to come out of this year’s Paris summit, one which will “ensure that the world’s richer countries support the aspirations of developing countries to follow a sustainable development path.”

He continued, noting his communist cabal, “the Elders,” as having “repeatedly stressed, a tax on carbon emissions can make an important contribution to the fight against global warming.” He also makes a pitch for world governments, meaning the “evil developed nations” such as ours, to commit to “mobilize $100 billion a year by 2020 to help vulnerable countries adapt to climate change impacts and pursue green growth.”

That’s about as close to a world communist redistribution as one can get. Americans need to listen to what this guy is saying. He’s got a big green hole that’s the size of the Earth that he wants to throw our money into, what doesn’t stick to his hands along the way. He’s also carrying a big green stick and a green whip for use as motivators of the selfish developed nations. They need to be given the power of law by Hussein Obama before his tyranny ends and that means at this upcoming summit.

The combination medicine man and vacuum cleaner salesman from Ghana also wants us to eat bugs instead of meat. He told the interviewer,

“The global livestock industry is indeed a major threat to the climate as it represents 14.5% of all human-caused greenhouse gas emissions according to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.” Once again he’s relied upon his own organization to supply the “facts” for their political agenda.

Annan said, “We cannot continue the way we are producing and consuming meat. Obviously, this should not go as far as governments telling people what to eat. However, keeping meat consumption to levels recommended by health authorities would lower emissions and reduce heart disease, cancer, and other diseases. And of course there are alternative sources of protein. For example, raising insects as an animal protein source. Insects have a very good conversion rate from feed to meat. They make up part of the diet of two billion people and are commonly eaten in many parts of the world. Eating insects is good for the environment and balanced diets.”

Of course he would never tell us that we have to eat bugs, not until he gets control of our ability to raise livestock, that is. Once he can price beef, pork and chicken out of range of the average, formerly middle class family, a plate of meal worms will in fact become our meal.

Annan took one parting shot at the “evil producers” of the world, saying, “It is important that developed and developing countries cut emissions. However, fairness demands that richer countries and those with the highest emissions take the lead. They must provide adequate financial resources and technologies to poorer countries and help them to cut emissions and adapt to climate change. While the climate risks are so severe, it is easy to lose sight of the opportunities. The 2015 Africa Progress Panel Report will argue that the climate change imperative is an opportunity for Africa’s energy-poor countries to leapfrog straight to clean energy, avoiding decades of inefficient spending on polluting energy sources.”

With America sending Hussein Obama to the Paris Summit and with Pope Francis in tow, is there any doubt that they intend to commit us to a huge Marxist global wealth redistribution mandate? There is no doubt whatsoever. The only thing to be determined is whether we the people will stand up for ourselves and our children. Why would Americans, who are superior to this globalist tool, even listen to this evil, subhuman trash, let alone follow his dictates?

Bugs are for birds and lizards to eat. Americans are higher up the food chain, and we should fight to stay there. If Kofi Annan, Bill Clinton, Al Gore and Hussein Obama like bug-burgers, nobody’s stopping them. Of course, they’re just dictating to us what we’ll eat and how we’ll live. They are exempt, they’re elite, they’re still eating steak.
