UN ENVOY: STATUS OF JERUSALEM MUST BE RESOLVED

Robert Serry says there is “no real prospect for peace” between Israelis and Palestinians without a Jerusalem solution.

There is “no real prospect for peace” between Israelis and Palestinians unless the status of Jerusalem is resolved, the top UN envoy to the peace process said on Wednesday.

Robert Serry’s brief address to a conference in Jerusalem came in the middle of a tense week, which featured a prisoner release, announcement of settlement construction and the trading of fire between the IDF and terrorists in Gaza. Serry is the UN special coordinator for the Middle East peace process.

“Without resolving Jerusalem, there will be no solution,” he said. “The [UN] secretary general believes that a way has to be found for Jerusalem to emerge as a capital for two states.”

Serry said both sides had “committed themselves” to addressing the status of Jerusalem, and he praised the involvement of the United States in jump-starting negotiations.

"PEACE DEAL WILL BE ACHIEVED IN SPRING 2014", SAY'S BRITISH CONSUL-GENERAL TO JERUSALEM

Posted on October 25, 2013 by Conservatives Against Tyranny

Nice masonic handshake

10/20/13. ‘Permanent Peace deal will be achieved in spring 2014′. Daniel Siryoti, israelhayom.com

“British Consul-General to Jerusalem Sir Vincent Fean hedged Saturday that “a permanent agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Authority will be reached by the spring of 2014,” the Palestinian news agency Maan reported.

According to the report, Fean said that the agreement will include joint Israeli-Palestinian sovereignty over Jerusalem. = lie, only destruction's coming

The British consul-general was quoted as saying that the spring of 2014 is going to be “crucial to the inception of a Palestinian state on the basis of a political solution,” adding that “Jerusalem will serve as the shared capital of Israel and the future Palestinian state and the agreement will also include land swaps.”

Meanwhile, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas also commented on the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks over the weekend. Abbas, who slammed Israel’s settlement policies in Judea and Samaria, said that “East Jerusalem will become the capital of the independent Palestinian state.”

He added that the negotiations, which have been conducted in absolute secrecy, were “being held in a positive atmosphere and with respect. We have to make the most out of this historic opportunity. I call on the Israeli public and the Israeli government to act with us to realize the dream of comprehensive peace.”

10/21/13. Is This Peace The Real Thing? Batya Medad, jewishpress.com

“The media is full of news of an upcoming “PEACE” sic agreement between Israel and the Arabs. But the more I read about it, the less peaceful it seems. What is peace?

Everyone keeps harping that we need “peace,” but none of the ideas so blithely bandied about would give Israel and Israelis any added security. Nothing like this has ever, ever worked any place in the world, so why should anyone in their right mind think it would work in the Middle East between Israel and those Arabs sworn to destroy us?

The “world” and Israel’s Left-Center-Left keeps on insisting that the P.A. Abbas, Fatah, is a moderate with whom we can work things out, unlike Hamas, but those two groups are in constant contact and on the verge of officially merging. = Abbas, a moderate who's asking for the complete destruction of Israel!!

Abbas added that he spoke to Hamas leaders Khaled Mashaal and Ismail Haniyeh “on a personal level” and that their positions on reconciliation were “not that far apart. There is now some serious discussion about reconciliation [between the PA and Hamas],” Abbas said.

So, it’s very simple logic to conclude that an agreement with Fatah must be kept with Hamas. Will teh Israeli Government allow logic to get in the way of this dangerous ideology? It reminds me too much of the tragic mistake the government made prior to the 1973 Yom Kippur War, when it allowed the “conceptzia” to rule logic. The Israeli term “conceptzia” means preconceived notion\presumption\ideology or wishful thinking. The “conceptzia” blinds the mind to accepting reality. They don’t want to hear the truth, because it will make them look foolish.

I’d call this simple math. If Hamas joins Abbas’s Fatah, then we have to pay very strong attention to what Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh is saying, and he’s telling his supporters to start a new strong intifada against Israel.

Minister Ismail Haniyeh delivered a speech on Saturday in which he called for a renewed violent uprising against Israel.

Calling the Schalit deal a “historic victory,” Haniyeh said, “Hamas will continue to act with all means to free all fighters in the prisons of the Zionist enemy.”

Haniyeh praised recent Palestinian attacks against Israelis in Judea and Samaria and called for Palestinians in that region to resume the armed struggle against Israel.

We send our blessings from Gaza to our brothers in the West Bank who carried out the recent attacks against the occupier,” Haniyeh said. “Our heroic brothers in the West Bank must rise up, resume armed resistance against the occupier and embark on a popular uprising on the streets of the West Bank.”

So, I ask you very simply and directly:

What kind of peace can we have with them?

Let’s immediately cease talking and start conducting ourselves, the State of Israel as a fully sovereign nation!”

JERUSALEM CONSULTATION ON PROSPECTS FOR CONFLICT RESOLUTION, PEACE, AND STABILITY

By UPF International

Saturday, October 26, 2013

Jerusalem, Israel - A special consultation will bring together approximately 20 religious leaders, academics and Middle East experts to explore the theme “Religion, PEACE and International Relations in the Middle East: Prospects for Conflict Resolution, PEACE and STABILITY.” The Dec. 19-22, 2013 consultation in Jerusalem builds on the foundation of UPF's Oct. 11-13 conference in Amman, Jordan on a similar theme. For a report, click here.

There is growing, yet still inadequate awareness of the important role which religions could and should play in international relations. Some of the obstacles are related to outdated attitudes toward religion on the part of the mainstream community of international relations experts, and some of the obstacles are related to religion’s own inadequacies and unfortunate practices. These obstacles can be overcome, and religion can be a significant and constructive player in global affairs. The consultation will provide an opportunity for us to consider the way in which religious believers of diverse faiths and ethnic or national backgrounds can come together in a spirit of harmony and cooperation to speak with one voice of the need for DIALOGUE, COOPERATION, and PEACE.

UPF’s Middle East Peace Initiative encourages interfaith dialogue and cooperation. In addition, UPF has for 13 years been advocating for the United Nations to build within its system an interfaith council of spiritual elders. King Adbullah II of Jordan, Pope Francis, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, and H.E. Nasser Al Nassir of the UN’s Alliance of Civilizations, and many others, affirm the need for interfaith, intercultural and inter-civilizational dialogue and cooperation.

US 'WILL FORCE' ISRAEL-PA DEAL

Report: US will lay down its own outline for an accord in January, is determined to reach solution by mid-2014.

The United States intends to try and force a peace agreement on Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA), IDF Radio reported Monday.

The radio station says the US has informed Israel and the Palestinian Authority that if negotiations between them do not advance, Washington will propose its own solution, that will include a US position on every point that is in contention. In effect, according to the report, this will be an attempt to force the sides to agree on a solution formulated by the US.

MK Zehava Galon (Meretz) was quoted as saying Monday that senior US officials told her the US offer would be presented in January of 2014. PA sources also cited January as the month in which the US intends to propose, or impose, its plan.

The US moves comes after three months of talks between the sides which have reportedly made very little headway.

The US plan reportedly is similar to the Clinton outline, offered by President Bill Clinton in late 2000, which is based on an Israeli retreat to 1949 Armistice lines, and some swaps of territory.

The Obama Administration is reportedly determined to achieve “a diplomatic breakthrough” by mid-2014, and believes that Israel under Binyamin Netanyahu and the PA under Mahmoud Abbas are capable of reaching agreement.

Until now, the talks were based on the idea that the two sides negotiate directly, with the US only acting as a mediator.

The American decision to present a proposed agreement was reportedly communicated by several senior officials, including the Special Representative to the talks, Martin Indyk. Secretary of State John Kerry reportedly briefed Netanyahu on the matter when they last met, in Italy.

IDF Radio is run by the Israeli military and partially staffed by soldiers but is considered to be a mainstream news outlet that is not substantially different from mainstream civilian outlets.

FATAH OFFICIAL ON BEHALF OF ABBAS : "THE 1948 LANDS (i.e., Israel) ARE OCCUPIED"

Palestine Live TV broadcast an event marking the 32nd anniversary of a senior Fatah and PLO leader from the 1970s, Majed Abu Sharar’s Martyrdom death. Fatah Central Committee member Dr. Jamal Muhaisen spoke on behalf of PA Chairman Abbas.

Moderator: “Brothers and sisters, now listen to the speech of Mahmoud Abbas, President of the State of Palestine, which will be delivered by fighter Jamal Muhaisen, member of Fatah’s Central Committee.”

Muhaisen, on behalf of Abbas: “All our holy places are still under occupation, and so far we have not liberated one inch of Palestinian land. All Palestinian land is occupied – Gaza is occupied, the West Bank is occupied, the 1948 lands (i.e., Israel) are occupied and Jerusalem is occupied.”

KERRY: US SEES JEWISH JUDEA AND SAMARIA AS 'ILLEGITIMATE'

"Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,
Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision."

After months of speculation about US stance on issue, Kerry confirms that US is against Jewish presence in Judea and Samaria.

US Secretary of State John Kerry confirmed after meetings with Palestinian Arab representatives in Bethlehem today (Wednesday) that the US stance on Jewish life in Judea and Samaria is condemnation, AFP reports.

"We consider now, and have always considered, the settlements to be illegitimate," Kerry said, after Mahmoud Abbas reportedly walked out of Tuesday's talks over Israel's statements supporting a new initiative to build more than 3,500 new Jewish homes in the region.

Regarding the fact that Israel has kept up its side of a deal which exchanged the buildings for the controversial release of 26 Arab terrorists back into civilian areas, Kerry claims that "at no time did the Palestinians in any way agree, as a matter of going back to the talks, that they could somehow condone or accept" Jewish building efforts in Judea and Samaria

Kerry did throw Israel a bone by responding that the US was "aware" of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's plan for renewed construction efforts.

Kerry's remarks follow a tumultuous week between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, during which the released terrorists received a hero's welcome and threats of a third intifada were launched. Such a striking statement is unlikely to encourage an already skeptical Israeli public to support ongoing US-brokered talks.

Many Israelis have long suspected the Obama administration of sympathizing with the PA position, and concerns were raised at the very start of the latest round of talks over the controversial appointment of Martin Indyk as mediator in the talks. A number of Israeli groups have claimed his work with the far-left New Israel Fund rules Indyk out as an "honest broker" between the sides.

The confirmation also follows reports that the US President made derogatory remarks toward Israel, and toward Binyamin Netanyahu in particular, during discussions about the conflict in 2012.

The US may possibly have vested interests in the talks' success, as Obama has allegedly offered Israel support in efforts to stop a nuclear Iran in the event of a PEACE DEAL  between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

The Prime Minister's office has not yet released a statement responding to the US condemnation, nor how it will affect future talks.

WHEN THEY SAY PEACE AND SAFETY - KERRY "ENCOURAGED" BY PROGRESS IN PEACE TALKS

Posted on December 16, 2013 by END TIME HEADLINES

United States Secretary of State John Kerry insisted on Sunday that concrete progress has been made in PEACE talks between Israelis and the Palestinian Authority (PA), but said details will be kept under wraps, AFP reports. Kerry, who has made nine trips to the Middle East since March and helped launch nine-month direct talks between the two sides in July, said talking about any agreements could be counterproductive. ”I’m personally encouraged that very tough issues are beginning to take shape,” he was quoted as having said in an interview with ABC’s “This Week.” ”But we’ve agreed not to be talking about what we’re doing because it just creates great expectations. It creates pressure. It creates opposition, in some cases. I think it’s much better for us to do exactly what we’ve been doing, which is negotiate quietly and privately,” added Kerry. The comments were made just two days after it was reported that PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas formally rejected Kerry’s proposals for Israel to keep troops in a future Palestinian state along the Jordan border. A source in the PA also formally stated Abbas’ position of refusing to recognize Israel as the Jewish state. Recent reports said that the plan envisaged by Washington would see Israel maintain a military presence in the Jordan Valley after a peace agreement.

An international force would be acceptable to the PA, but Israel opposes such a solution. Abbas has openly declared that a future Palestinian state will have no Jewish presence, military or civilian. Israel has always insisted that a continued military presence on the frontier would be vital for its security for some 10-15 years after Palestinian statehood. Before Kerry’s latest trip to the region, he had said “we are closer than we have been in years” to reaching a deal. State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki had said the United States was “focused on a final deal” rather than an interim agreement. On Sunday, Kerry expressed optimism that this was “a different moment” for the conflict that could allow “a different set of choices” than in past, failed efforts. ”I think that the dynamics of the Middle East offer a different moment, the possibilities of PEACE with the Arab League, the realities of what might and might not stare people in the face if you don’t get an agreement,” he said, according to AFP. ”And hopefully, the leaders will seize this moment and at least move the ball forward somewhat,” added Kerry. He cautioned, however, that the Israeli-Arab conflict has “confounded presidents and secretaries state for 30 or 40 years.” ”If this conflict was easy … this would have been done years ago,” he said.

The PLO, the political body led by Abbas, remains adamantly opposed to anything less than the effective destruction of the State of Israel as its price for a “PEACE” agreement. At recent celebrations commemorating the 26th anniversary of the start of the second Intifada, the PLO issued a statement in which it said that it would not compromise on any of its basic requirements to make a deal with Israel: A full Israeli withdrawal from all lands liberated in 1967, establishment of Jerusalem as the capital of a Palestinian state, and a full return to their original homes the families that fled Israel when it was established in 1948. On Friday, Economy Minister Naftali Bennett clarified that Israel will not accept the American security proposals which essentially mean that Israel will have to rely on others to ensure its security. ”Recently we’ve been hearing a new tune: an international guarantee will ‘safeguard Israel’s security’,” Bennett stated. “We are told that they found the answer to all of our security problems. We can evacuate Samaria, Judea and the Jordan Valley (they won’t dare speak about the Golan Heights). We can place cameras, lasers, helicopters, and especially – rely on international forces and the security guarantee of our friends.” Bennett noted that similar security arrangements in Lebanon, Iran and Syria have actually worked against their aims. ”This has happened dozens of times around the world. Guarantees are words, they are not actions,” he concluded. “We will continue to defend ourselves, by ourselves. It has worked not badly at all for the last 65 years.” Arutz Sheva

ISRAEL MUST NEVER BE BETRAYED

By MICHELE BACHMANN

Unfortunately, recent actions of the Obama administration represent a sharp reversal of the historical precedent of unshakable support to the Jewish state.

US, Israel flags. Photo: REUTERS/Ronen Zvulun

Since its rebirth on May 15, 1948, Israel has stood as an immensely strong democratic ally, and unqualifiedly a best friend to the United States of America.

Unfortunately, recent actions of the Obama administration represent a sharp reversal of the historical precedent of unshakable support to the Jewish state, and have left Israel vulnerable and more isolated in the region than ever before in its history.

Look no further than the recently negotiated “diplomatic resolution” with Iran to see where the Obama administration’s priorities lie. The proposed framework does little if anything to stop Iran from continuing to enrich uranium, does little if anything to comprehensively halt construction of the Iran heavy water plutonium reactor, does little if anything to permanently change Iran’s belligerent posturing, and does not require the dismantling of Iran’s centrifuges.

In short, this agreement does next to nothing to benefit Israel or the United States. In the words of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, “This is a very, very bad deal.”

And for Iran, it is the deal of the century. Quite a gift for the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism.

What has been missing from the discussion is why the US is even negotiating with Iran in the first place. There should be no negotiation as long as Iran asserts they have the right to enrich uranium.

The fact is, despite the less than consummate enforcement of sanctions by the Obama administration, the sanctions being enforced against the Iranian regime were working.

So why would the US give any sanctions relief to a regime that is arguably the greatest sponsor of terrorism the world has ever known? Why, when the Iranian regime was being brought to its knees, would the US offer a reprieve unless the Iranians agree to completely curtail their nuclear program? And what does our negotiation acquiescence do for the interests of the US and Israel other than weaken us both, while at the same time strengthening and legitimizing the Iranian regime and its nuclear ambitions? The Obama administration’s foreign policy positions have left Israel and the state of the Middle East more dangerous and more nihilistic than ever before. There is no better example than the Obama administration’s Egyptian policy strategy of encouraging the rise and influence of the Muslim Brotherhood, a violent terrorist organization.

When the Muslim Brotherhood was removed from power by the Egyptian people, the Obama administration responded by cutting off funding to the Egyptian military. The very same military that was aggressively fighting terrorists in the Sinai, shutting off the infiltration of arms into Gaza, and working to restore order after the oppressive rule of the Muslim Brotherhood.

And does anyone think that US policy toward Syria has benefited either the US or Israel? Bashar Assad continues to rule with impunity in Syria while radical Islamists gain weapons, power and influence across the country. Or in Libya, which since our military action to remove Gaddafi, has dissolved into absolute chaos as highlighted by the horrific attacks on our diplomatic mission in Benghazi in 2012.

It’s bad enough that Israel is faced with Hezbollah missiles and violence in the north, a radicalized Syria in the east, tumult in Egypt in the west, a Hamas-controlled government in Gaza, and now the ever-growing prospect of a nuclear Iran.

And now add to this US Secretary of State John Kerry’s insistence that Israel negotiate with the Palestinians, castigate Israel’s sovereign right to build on its own land, and insist that Israel all but geographically cut itself in two, which would compromise Israel’s ability to defend itself.

While Secretary Kerry pressures Israel to give up its rightful land, our good friend Israel has a goal too: the maintenance of the Jewish State of Israel. And the right to live peacefully in their entire biblical Jewish homeland, and the right to have Jerusalem as their undivided capital.

Secretary Kerry’s dangerous phase 1 plan would initiate disorder, destabilization, violence and eventually a civil war by inciting conditions for, in his words, a third Palestinian intifada. This intifada could differ however, as it would likely involve committed Arabs, the UN, the US and committed Jews unwilling to uproot their families and their lives from their biblical homeland.

The reality is the Jewish citizens of Samaria and Judea are there to stay. They are not leaving and they won’t be pushed from their homes – nor should they ever be. And shame on anyone who attempts to draw a moral or territorial equilibrium between Judea and Samaria for the Jewish people, and Gaza for the Palestinian people. Let me clearly reiterate, Judea and Samaria is the biblical, historical and cultural heartland of the Jewish people, as it contains many of Judiasm’s holiest and most important sites.

Israel has always been a beacon of hope and the best chance for peace in the Middle East. Secretary Kerry misses the positive humanity of Jews and Arabs living side by side, working together, and making a life together. This is a present reality, that can and should be encouraged to improve.

While Israelis have reason to question the commitment of the Obama administration, they should never doubt the strong bipartisan contingent of support for Israel in the United States Congress, and the constituents we represent.

And they should feel assured, without any equivocation, we will always be proudly standing together with them, in their corner, side by side.

The writer has served for many years as a member of the US House of Representatives, and was a former United States presidential candidate.

REPORT: AMERICAN OUTLINE AGREEMENT BY MONTH'S END

Secretary of State John Kerry of the United States will present an outline for an Israel-Palestinian Authority (PA) PEACE AGREEMENT  on December 31st, according to a senior Arab League source, quoted Monday by the Bethlehem-based Ma'an news agency. Muhammad Sabih, who coordinates the league's activities concerning the PA, said PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas updated the league on Kerry's proposal, adding it includes borders for a future PA state.

According to Sabih, Abbas said the PA won't respond right away. Before a response, the outline will be brought to the Arab League for a vote on whether or not to accept it. He said Abbas will agree to a state with all of eastern Jerusalem as its capital and partial, limited exchanges of land. Abbas also said he would agree to a gradual withdrawal of Israeli troops from areas transferred to the PA but will object to any permanent Israeli presence there. Abbas would be amenable to the presence of an international force.

US PUSHING ISRAEL TO SELL JORDAN VALLEY WITHDRAWAL

Israeli media reports US is pushing Israeli generals to turn public doubt, raising favor over Kerry's proposed withdrawals.

The US is pressuring Israel to ignore its security concerns and persuade a skeptical Israeli public to accept US Secretary of State John Kerry's plans, which include Israeli withdrawal from the Jordan Valley in stages over the next 10 years, according to recent reports by Channel 2 news.

US head envoy over the peace talks Martin Indyk has met with senior IDF generals in recent days according to the report, urging them to accept the deal.

Further, Indyk and his staff have reportedly told generals to "go to the media and be interviewed and respond, because they have the impression that the Israeli public has doubts about the subject."

The report can be seen here:

VIDEO : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1LdU-riQBU&hd=1

The report comes just prior to Kerry's "offensive" in January to push Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to adopt his plan. Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has already rejected the plan.

In response to the report, Analyst Mark Langfan, who has critically analyzed and dissected Kerry's Jordan Valley plan, said "any Israeli general advocating the Jordan Valley plan is a military fraud, and I challenge them to a debate."

Langfan added "Martin Indyk has planned the annihilation of Israel for decades."

Video shows that prior to the 2005 "Disengagement," whereby Jews were expelled from Gush Katif, Indyk was woefully mistaken in his predictions of the move's results.

Indyk claimed the unilateral withdrawal would produce "a new Palestinian leadership that is more responsible and capable and legitimate." Instead the terror organization Hamas took control of Gaza.

Regarding Kerry's plan, it appears to be based on the 1967 "Allon Plan." Ironically, in the same year the US Joint Chiefs of Staff (USJCoS) reported that even more than the Jordan Valley, Judea and Samaria are strategic necessities for Israeli security.

Kerry's plan also includes mass withdrawals from Judea and Samaria.

MK Miri Regev (Likud Beytenu) plans to challenge the plans by introducing legislation next week to annex the Jordan Valley, according to a Friday-morning report by the Yisrael Hayom daily.

A senior Likud source criticized the move, saying "Regev is initiating the bill to get headlines. Even she knows full well that there's no way in the world that such a proposal will pass the Knesset."

MINISTERS APPROVE JORDAN VALLEY ANNEXATION

Justice Minister Livni vows to appeal the decision, is certain that it will be blocked.

The Ministerial Committee for Legislation voted Sunday in favor of a bill that would annex the Jordan Valley and place it under full Israeli sovereignty.

Four ministers voted in favor of the draft law, which was proposed Likud MK Miri Regev. Three opposed it.

Justice Minister Tzipi Livni, who is in charge of “PEACE NEGOTIATIONS” with the Palestinian Authority (PA) attacked the ministers who voted for the bill, and called it “an irresponsible proposal that will harm Israel and isolate it.”

"Some of those who supported the bill would have opposed it, if they had known it would pass,” she added. “They are taking advantage of the fact that I will file an appeal and do the work for them.”

Livni also attacked MK Regev, saying: “I have no respect for the bill nor for its proposer.”

Minister Gideon Saar fired back at Livni, asking her “by what right” she is talking in this way.

The Ministerial Committee for Legislation decides which proposed bills will enjoy the support of the Coalition. Bills it approves are likely to pass in the plenum. However, Livni's appeal means that the the Committee will vote on the bill again in the coming weeks.

The Jordan Valley, situated in eastern Samaria (Shomron), has been the topic of contention in recent months. US Secretary of State John Kerry is reportedly attempting to force a deal on Israel and the Palestinian Authority which would see an Israeli "withdrawal" from all of Judea and Samaria, but allow for a temporary arrangement whereby IDF and/or foreign forces would maintain a presence in the Jordan Valley.

The Israeli government argues the Valley is strategically important, and Prime Minister Netanyahu has insisted in the past that, in the event of a withdrawal from Judea and Samaria, Israel would still keep troops in the area.

Calls by some nationalist MKs to annex the area are an attempt to forestall any withdrawal from the area whatsoever.

Some analysts have criticized the idea that an Israeli withdrawal from Judea and Samaria would be "safe" as long as forces remained in the Jordan Valley, saying that the mountainous regions to the west and south are in fact even more strategically crucial for Israel's security.

EXCLUSIVE: US “FRAMEWORK” CALLS FOR 80,000 ISRAELI WEST BANK EVACUATIONS TO THE BIG SETTLEMENT BLOCS

DEBKAfile Exclusive Report December 31, 2013, 9:34 AM (IDT)

John Kerry after Geneva accord with Iran

The State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said in Washington Tuesday, Dec. 31, that Secretary John Kerry would discuss with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas a “proposed framework” to serve as “a guideline for addressing all core issues” in the decades-long dispute.

“Some people say this would be an interim agreement. No, that’s not the case,” she said. The core issues she listed were “borders between Israel and a future Palestine, security arrangements, the fate of Palestinian refugees and conflicting claims to the holy city of Jerusalem.”

Kerry leaves for Israel and Ramallah on New Year’s Day to continue his shuttle, after Monday night, Dec. 30, Israel released from jail 26 Palestinian terrorists serving life sentences for murder.

debkafile reported earlier that the US Secretary does not expect Israeli and Palestinian leaders to approve the proposed framework – only to contribute their comments. We also reported that Abbas had indicated to the Secretary that that Palestinians were preparing to reject his proposals by demanding their referral to the various pan-Arab forums.

DEBKA Weekly No. 616 of Dec. 20 was first to divulge the nine points of the unpublished draft Kerry planned to present to Israeli and Palestinian leaders this week. Since then, certain amendments were introduced - especially in relation to Israel’s military presence in the Jordan Valley and Judea and Samaria.  The document continues to be molded by Kerry’s ongoing back-and-forth communications with the two parties.
Nevertheless, the nine points disclosed hereunder stand as the basic guidelines of the proposed US framework:

Israel hands over 92.8 pc of West Bank to Palestinians

1. Nearly all its content draws on the proposal Ehud Olmert, then Prime Minister, submitted to Abbas on Aug. 31, 2008, which he never accepted; nor was it approved by any Israeli authority.

2. Territory:  Israel will annex 6.8% of the West Bank including the four main settlement blocs of Gush Etzion with Efrata; Maale Adummim; Givat Zeev;and Ariel, as well as all of the “settlements” of East Jerusalem and Har Homa - in exchange for the equivalent of 5.5% of Israeli territory.

3. The Safe Passage:  The territorial link between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank would cut through southern Israel and remain under Israeli sovereignty and Palestinian control.

Our sources add that out of all other options, the American sponsors of the accord prefer to build an express railway line from Gaza to Hebron, without stops, which would be paid for by Washington. Abbas has already informed John Kerry that he wants the train to go all the way to Ramallah.
There will be a special road connecting Bethlehem with Ramallah that bypasses East Jerusalem. This is mostly likely the same route currently planned to go around Maaleh Adummim.
Since the safe passage will cross through Israeli, accounting for 1% of its territory, this area will be deducted from the land Israel concedes, leaving 4.54% for the land swap with the Palestinians.

4. Jerusalem:  East Jerusalem will be divided territorially along the lines of the Clinton Parameters with the exception of the “Holy Basin,” which comprises 0.04% of the West Bank.
Sovereignty over this ancient heart of Jerusalem, with its unique and historic concentration of Jewish, Christian and Muslim shrines, will pass to an international commission comprised of the US, Israel, the Palestinians, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. = At that point, East Jerusalem will be under Vatican control. The Zezabel and Babylonian system of the beast will impose to the world Jerusalem as the capital of the world under the satanic rule of the gods of antiquity.

5. Refugees:  This issue will be addressed according to guidelines proposed by President Bill Clinton at Camp David in the year 2000 - and rejected by Yasser Arafat.

An International Foundation will be established to resettle the bulk of the Palestinian refugees in Canada and Australia, except for a small portion to be accepted in Israel in the framework of family reunification.

6. Security:  The Olmert package made no mention of security. However the Kerry draft deals extensively with this issue and Israel’s concerns. It calls for the evacuation of all 10,000 Jewish settlers from the Jordan Valley leaving behind a chain of posts along the Jordan River. Security corridors cutting through the West Bank will maintain their land and operational links with Israel.

Border crossings will be set up between Palestine and Jordan with an Israeli security presence. The security section of the draft assigns the use of West Bank and Gaza airspace by Israel and the Palestinians. There will be no Israeli military presence inside the Palestinian state.

7. Taxes: The present arrangement for Israel to collect customs levies and distribute the revenues to the Palestinians will continue. (debkafile: That is about the only clause which the Palestinians accept.) Israel will carry out security checks on goods bound for Palestinian that are unloaded at Haifa and Ashdod ports, and levy customs at rates fixed by the Palestinians to be disbursed in the Palestinian state.

8. Settlements:  Eighty percent of all Jewish settlers on the West Bank will be confined to the major settlement blocs as defined in 2. The remaining 20% amounting, according to American calculations to 80,000 people, will have to decide on their own whether they prefer to stay where they are under Palestinian rule or move to Israel.

debkafile’s sources report that Secretary Kerry advised the Israeli Prime Minister bluntly that he need not promise to force settlers to leave their homes - as the Sharon government did when he executed the unilateral disengagement from the Gaza Strip in 2005. Netanyahu replied that it was unacceptable for Israel to abandon the settlers to their fate. He therefore proposed that instead of forcing them to cross back into Israel, they would be absorbed in the larger settlement blocs remaining under Israeli sovereignty.

9. Timelines:  Different timetables are proposed in the US framework for implementing different sections: The Palestinian leader says he is willing to give Israel three years as a transition period for relocating settlers.

When he submitted the paper to the Israeli and Palestinian leaders earlier this month, the Secretary of State told them that he saw no point in the two negotiating teams holding meetings consumed by interminable debates on one point or another. He therefore asked both parties to henceforth send him their comments in writing.

KERRY PROPOSES: 80,000 ARABS TO FLOOD ISRAEL

Secretary of State suggests to Abbas that 80, 000 Palestinian 'refugees' will 'return' to Israel in peace deal.

John Kerry meets Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry proposed to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas the “return” of 80, 000 Palestinian “refugees” to Israel, a well-informed Palestinian Authority (PA) official told Chinese news service Xinhua on Monday.

The senior official of said on condition of anonymity that Kerry's proposal on the “return of Palestinian refugees” was part of the offer he presented to the Palestinian side in his latest bid to reach a framework peace agreement between Israel and the PA.

Kerry, who was visiting the region until Monday, had held talks on Friday and Saturday with Abbas in Ramallah.

"Kerry's proposal on the return of refugees is the same proposal offered by former U.S. President Bill Clinton during Camp David peace talks held in the United States in 2000," said the official.

He added that during their meetings, Abbas wanted to increase the number of Arabs “returning” to Israel to 200,000, and the demand is still under discussion with Kerry.

The PA claims that Arabs who fled Israel in the Independence War of 1948 are refugees to this day, as are all of their descendants. Israel has never accepted this wide definition of “refugees,” and has insisted that most Arabs fled the Land of Israel because they were told by overconfident Arab leaders to do so. The leaders expected a bloodbath in which Jews would be annihilated and assured the local Arabs that they would be able to return their homes when it was over.

It has also noted that there were just as many Jewish refugees displaced from Arab countries at about the time of the War of Independence, many of whom were resettled in Israel – and argued that just as these refugees do not demand to be resettled in the Arab countries they fled, so shouldn't Arabs who fled Israel.

Israel has always seen the PA demand for the “return” of “refugees” as a disguised attempt to flood Israel with Arabs who will change its demography in a way that challenges the Jewish majority.

As for the issue of Jerusalem, the official said "Kerry's recent ideas focus on handing over parts of Jerusalem to the Palestinian National Authority and that Jordan will have the jurisdiction on holy sites and places in the city."

However, Israel refuses to recognize East Jerusalem as the capital of the future Palestinian state, and insists that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the state of Israel, according to the source.

The Arab side also opposes Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's demand that the PA recognize Israel as a Jewish state, the source said, adding that "gaps are still wide concerning the permanent status issues of the refugees, Jerusalem, borders, settlements and the Jewish state."

GERMAN OP-EDd: ISRAEL CANNOT BE A JEWISH STATE

(JNS.org) A German newspaper, Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung (Neue OZ), published an op-ed last week titled “Israel as Jewish state: Unacceptable demand" that has sparked outrage in the German Jewish community. Author Franziska Kückmann compared the recognition of Israel as a Jewish state by the Palestinians with the creation of either a theocracy like the Islamic Republic of Iran or an “apartheid state” where non-Jews would become second-class citizens.

A regional paper based in the German city of Osnabrück published an editorial claiming Israel cannot be a Jewish state. Credit: Wikimedia Commons.

"Both versions are incompatible with [Israel's] claim to be a modern state, and may not be accepted by the world community. As long as Israel provides such unreasonable conditions, [its] assertion to be interested in a two-state solution is not worth nothing," Kückmann wrote, as translated from German by JNS.org.

A representative from Israel’s embassy in Germany told the Jerusalem Post, “Germany more than all other states should be aware of the necessity of Israel’s existence as a Jewish state. Every attempt to define Israel as a two peoples’ state—and not to be defined as a Jewish state—misjudges the reality and damages the chances for success in the PEACE PROCES. Israel is a democratic, pluralistic state, in which all citizens are treated equally, independent of religion, sex and nationality.”

“Israel is committed to the TWO-STATE SOLUTION. Our goal is two national states for two peoples. Israel recognizes the right of the Palestinians to their own state and expects, in return, that the Palestinians will recognize Israel as a Jewish state," the representative added.

Michael Grünberg, head of the Jewish community in the city of Osnabrück, said the article is a “new form of anti-Semitism” and that the author “denies Jews the right to their own state."

PA: AGREEMENT WITH ISRAEL STAGE TOWARDS ITS DESTRUCTION

PA Senior official Abbas Zaqui told Syrian TV that any agreement with Israel is just another stage in the design of the PA to destroy it, "We and Hamas are united in our demand for a state along pre-'67 borders, but do not think that this will end our demands, that will eventually encompass all of the Zionist-held land."

KERRY: 'PEACE NOW,' IN 2014

US Secretary of State John Kerry

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said over the weekend that his country is ready to broker and agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Authority at any time or place both sides want. “We are ready to make peace now, in 2014,” Kerry told Arab foreign ministers.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and PA chief Mahmoud Abbas “have both shown courage,” Kerry said. “The Israelis and Palestinians are currently wrestling with difficult decisions and challenges,” he added.

Israel has made clear to Kerry that dividing Jerusalem is not on the agenda, government sources said. At the same time, PA officials reiterated over the weekend that there would be no agreement unless Israel withdrew from all areas of Jerusalem liberated in the 1967 Six Day War, and agreed to allow descendants of Arabs who fled their homes in 1948 to return to their abandoned properties.

Kerry also discussed with the ministers the agreement with Iran that is set to come into effect on January 20. He said that the Western powers were planning to watch Iran's behavior very closely.

DIVIDE THE LAND OF ISRAEL OBAMA AND YOU WILL BRING JUDGMENT UPON YOU AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

A must read!

By Kenneth Lewis

When I write about the Land of Israel which includes all of the Jewish city of Jerusalem, I tend to become very serious because of Israel's holy history and most important it's holy covenants with God.

The Land of Israel was given to the Jewish people in a covenant with Abram that dates back thousand and thousands of years.  That holy covenant between the Jewish people and God the Creator of the Universe is still in effect today.  In the Book of Genesis we are given a recorded account of the Abram covenant that was written between 1450 - 1410 B.C.

God warns any one that even attempts to divide the land in the covenant that He made between the Jewish people and Himself would enter into His judgment.  His judgments are always devastating to either the person who attempts to divide the Holy Land or to the nation which whom the person represents or in some cases to both.

The promise that God enter into with Abram begins in Genesis 12:1.

The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you."

We notice this covenant that God made with Abram also included Abram’s offspring which includes all of his offspring that continues to return to the Land of Israel during our life time.
Genesis 12:7

In Genesis 15:18-21
we see the boundaries of the promise land that God gave His people.  The boundaries are some what clarified in terms of territory of various ancient tribes.

On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram and said, "To your descendants I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates - the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites, Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites, Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites and Jebusites."

However, in Exodus 23:31 we are given a more precise geographical outline of the borders which describes the territory as marked by the Red Sea, the "Sea of the Philistines" to the Mediterranean, and the "River," (which is the Euphrates River).

The covenant that God made with Abram was fulfilled at the end of the Exodus from Egypt.  We see the fulfillment in Deuteronomy 1:8.  See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land that the LORD swore he would give to your fathers—to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob—and to their descendants after them.

As you can see, it took a long time before the Israelites could gain complete control of the land.  The furthest extent of the Land of Israel was achieved during the time of the United Kingdom of Israel under David.

In the Book of Joel, God warns specifically against dividing the land of Israel in the Covenant He made with Abram.

Notice what God says; "...I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of my people and my inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided, up my land."   Joel 3:1-2

Since 1948, the Jewish people that were scattered around the world in 70AD when the Roman army entered and destroyed the city of Jerusalem and the Jewish Temple began returning to their home land.  Photo shows  David Ben-Gurion reading the 1948: Declaration of Independence of the State of Israel in the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.

Today, Israel is a thriving nation and blessed by God once again.  However, world governments continue to divide the land that God gave His people today.

In this article I am going to share with you what I have discovered over the years of studying the dividing of the land of Israel and what has happen to the nations and to the people who were involved in the dividing of the land.

Remember what God said in Book of Joel because the world governments are not getting it!

"...I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of my people and my inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided, up my land."   Joel 3:1-2

I have seen the Land of Israel blossom into a great nation over the years.  Bible Prophecy continues to be fulfilled according to scriptures even today.

In the Year 2001

In June of 2001 President Bush sent George Tenet his CIA director to Israel in an attempt to implement the Mitchell Plan. The Mitchell plan called the cessation of new buildings in varies Jewish settlements.  The cessation of new buildings was in reference to negotiating the Jewish land for a PALESTINIAN STATE FOR PEACE.

On the very same day that George Tenet met with Israeli and Palestinian officials, a tropical storm named Allison formed in the Gulf of Mexico and moved swiftly over Texas, President Bush’s home state, dropping over 28 inches of rain over the Houston area alone, causing over $4 billion dollars in damage. Image: Rain Fall Totals - Massive flooding in Jefferson County Texas.  Home state of President Bush

The storm then moved across to Florida and up the east coast of the United States of America causing more damage as far as Pennsylvania.

The meteorologists reported Allison as the "worst tropical storm in history".

What was the tropical storm?

Gods Judgment or just a mere coincidence?

Notice what God says; "...I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of my people and my inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided, up my land."   Joel 3:1-2

What was it?  Gods Judgment or just a mere coincidence?

In the year 2005 and 2006

In the beginning of 2005, President Bush began pressuring Sharon to evacuate Jewish settlers from their land in Gaza and parts of the Northern West bank in a push to complete a peace deal between Israel and Palestine.

On March 23, 2005, a fire and explosion occurred in the Presidents home state at BP's Texas City Refinery in Texas City, Texas, killing 15 workers and injuring more than 170 others.

We will see a much larger BP explosion later in this article as Gods judgments intensifies.

Between, August 16th - August 30th, 2005, Ariel Sharon expelled 9,480 Jewish settlers from 21 settlements in Gaza and four settlements in the northern West Bank.  The 21 settlements in Gaza and the four settlements in the Northern West Bank was part of the land in the Abram Covenant.

Notice what also happen in the United States of America during that time period.

On August 29th, 2005 the storm that would become known as Hurricane Katrina formed and moved across the Gulf of Mexico, devastating New Orleans in Biblical proportions.  The surrounding areas where also devastated to such an extent that they still have not fully recovered today. That devastating storm caused at least 200 billion dollars in damage.  Photo: Hurricane Katrina was a category 5 hurricane.

Now look what happen to Sharon who expelled the Jewish setters from their home land.

On December 18, 2005 Sharon was sent to Hadassah Medical Center after suffering a mild stroke.  The stoke was reported as an unusual type of stroke called a paradoxical embolism, in which a clot from the venous circulation crosses over into the arterial circulation through a hole between the right and left atrium called an aeral  sepal defect (or a patent foramen ovale) and goes to the brain, causing a transient speech and motor disturbance. Photo: Ariel Sharon

On his way to the hospital he lost consciousness but regained it shortly thereafter. He reportedly wanted to leave the hospital the evening after his arrival but the hospital wanted him to stay another day. He spent two days in the hospital and was to have had the small hole in his heart repaired by a cardiac catheterization procedure in early January.

On January 4, 2006, in the evening before his catheterization, Sharon suffered a second stroke that was reported to be a far more serious stroke at his Havat Hashikmim ranch in the Negev region.  A “massive cerebral haemorrhage” led to bleeding in his brain which doctors eventually brought under control the following morning after performing two separate operations.  After the first operation, lasting several hours, Hadassah Director Shlomo Mor-Yosef reported Sharon’s bleeding had stopped and his brain was functioning without artificial support.

However, after a second, 14-hour surgery, Sharon was placed on a ventilator and some reports suggested that he was suffering from paralysis in his lower body, while others said he was still fighting for his life. He was placed in an induced coma and his Prime Ministerial duties were now handed over to his deputy, Ehud Olmert.

On Friday, January 6, Sharon was brought back into the operating room after doctors reviewed the results of a brain scan.  However, Hospital officials declined to comment on these reports.

Less then six months later after expelling 9,480 Jewish settlers from 21 settlements in Gaza and four settlements in the northern West Bank on January 6th, 2006, Sharon died at the age of 77.

Notice what God says; "...I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of my people and my inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided, up my land."   Joel 3:1-2

What was it? Gods Judgment or just a mere coincidence?

In the year 2007 and 2008

In the later part of 2007 into 2008 President Bush once again pushed for a Middle East peace agreement

In 2008 he visited the Holy land and his first visit to Palestine.  He was in the Holy land for eight days trying to jump-start the long-stalled peace talks. Speaking from his hotel in Jerusalem, he said again that he thought it was possible for his administration to reach a peace agreement within a year.

During his visit he said, "painful concessions" on both sides as well as an end to the "occupation" of Arab land by the Israeli military.  He also said, "I am committed to doing all I can to achieve it,"

Bush used tough language intended to put both sides on notice. He said he sees no reason they cannot get down to serious business, "starting right now."

He went on to say negotiations required security guarantees for Israel, a "contiguous" state for the Palestinians and the expectation that final borders will be negotiated to accommodate territorial changes since Israel's formation 60 years ago.

Now here is where President Bush made his big mistake…..

According to borders that fall under the Abram covenant, Bush said "any agreement will require adjustments" to the lines drawn for Israel in the late 1940s. At the same time, he reiterated that Palestinians deserve better than a "Swiss cheese" state and that a state wouldn't be viable otherwise.

"The point of departure for permanent status negotiations to realize this vision seems clear," he said. "There should be an end to the occupation that began in 1967. The agreement must establish a Palestine as a homeland for the Palestinian people just as Israel is a homeland for the Jewish people." Map:  Israel's promised land recaptured after the 1967 war.

When a leader from a nation thinks he's bigger then God and has the right to divide His land that He gave His chosen people there is always a price to pay…

In 2007 and 2008 the United States of America was hit with a financial disaster that was often referred to as the Great Recession.  The economic recession that began in the United States of America in December 2007 and much of 2008 and still has an effect on the world economy today, spread through out much of the industrialized world, and according to financial experts it had a ripple effect on many nations around the world.

The global recession that was started in the United States of America after Bush went to Israel has resulted in a sharp drop in international trade, rising unemployment through out the world and slumping commodity prices and a devastating real estate market.  In December 2008, the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) declared that the United States of America had been in recession since December 2007.  Several economists have predicted that recovery may not appear until 2011 and that the recession will be the worst since the Great Depression of the 1930s. Others are saying the recession will get worse again in the latter part of 2010 and into 2011 and 2012.

Notice what God says; "...I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of my people and my inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided, up my land."   Joel 3:1-2

What was it?  Gods Judgment or just a mere coincidence?

In the year of 2010

In May 2010 Barack Obama met with Abbas who said he will not hold direct talks with Israel until Israel stops all settlement construction in the West Bank and in east Jerusalem, the sector of the city Palestinians claim as a future capital.  Israel only agreed to a temporary slowdown in the West Bank, but not in east Jerusalem.

The indirect talks were devised as a compromise, but the arrangement according to reports were thrown into doubt in March when Israel announced new plans to build 1,600 homes for Jews in east Jerusalem. The decision, which came just as Vice President Joe Biden arrived in Israel for a visit, drew sharp criticism from President Obama and the U.S. This criticism led to the worst disagreement between the USA and Israel in years.

The Palestinians want the West Bank, Gaza and east Jerusalem — territories Israel captured in the 1967 Mideast War — for their state, but have said they are willing to make some minor land exchanges to enable Israel to annex some West Bank settlements.

In 2010, Haaretz News Service reported United States President Barack Obama has presented to Egypt and Israel a plan for a two-state solution to be finalized within two years.

A source in Cairo told the newspaper that Obama raised the plan with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during one of his visit  to Washington in the past months.  According to the report, the plan envisions a Middle East peace deal by 2011 and would encompass an agreement for a Palestinian state.

Dividing the Land of Israel captured in the 1967 Mideast War  is part of the Obama plan.

By April 30th Barack Obama had already conferred with "several European leaders" and they all agreed that the "international peace conference" would be run by the Quartet of Middle East peacemakers - the United States, European Union, United Nations and Russia - and the goal would be to forge a united global front for creating a Palestinian state.

One day after the announcement of the Obama plan to Egyptian officials and  giving his plan to Netanyahu for a response.

A BP oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico exploded on April 20, 2010 killing 11 people and causing the worst oil disaster in American history.

The disaster, involving a leaking deep water oil well, has devastated a vast amount of the area in the Southern part of the United States of America. This devastation of the marine environment and had a serious impact on the local fishing industry. Efforts at containing the spill were at first ineffective and though some progress has been made since the fitting of a cap, in late June 2010, massive volumes of crude oil continue to escape and cause serious damage to the marine ecosystem and local economy.  Apart from the environmental damage, the disaster is having an impact on President Barack Obama's political standing.

The disaster has prompted high level negotiations with British Prime Minister David Cameron, who has expressed concern for the prospect of BP's destruction.

BP quickly settled with Obama at a record cost of 20 Billion dollars

Now you decide.  What was it?  Gods Judgment or just a mere coincidence?

In the year 2011

While Obama continues to add pressure to Israel to give up the 67 bounders and part of Jerusalem we continue to get hit with record number of judgments through out the U.S.A.. So far in 2011 the U.S. has had a record 10 weather catastrophes costing more than a billion dollars: five separate tornado outbreaks, two different major river floods which devastated the Upper Midwest and the Mississippi River, drought in the Southwest and a blizzard that crippled the Midwest and Northeast, and to top it off we got hit with Irene and an earthquake along the East Coast.

When it comes to the word of God and His covenants between Him and His people it is serious business.  World leaders better know what they're dealing with because when they interfere with Gods agreements with His people there is always a price to pay.

Tornadoes this year hit medium-sized cities such as Joplin, Mo., and Tuscaloosa, Ala. The outbreaks affected 21 states, including unusual deadly twisters in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Massachusetts.

Like I said before, His judgments are always devastating to either the person who attempts to divide the Holy Land or to the nation which whom the person represents or in some cases to both.

The connections between the devastation in the United States of America  and the dividing of the Land of Israel in no mere coincidence.

  Take God at His word…

"...I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of my people and my inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided, up my land."  Joel 3:1-2

   Key verses to remember

In I Kings 11:32, the Lord calls Jerusalem “the city which I have chosen from all the tribes of Israel.”

In 2 Chronicles 6:6, the Lord says, “I have chosen Jerusalem that My Name might be there, and I have chosen David to be over My people Israel.”

In Psalm 132:13-16, we read, “For the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His habitation. ‘This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it. I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her with bread.”

BIDEN: ISRAEL'S SECURITY DEPENDS ON PEACE WITH PA

US VP Joe Biden said on Monday during his meeting with President Peres, "Sharon understood how strategically important PEACE with the Arabs is to Israel. President Obama and myself feel that PM Netanyahu is in a position to seize this historic opportunity for PEACE with the PA."

President Peres responded, "Only G-d knows when such a historic opportunity for PEACE will present itself again."

DEFYING ACCORD WITH ISRAEL, PLO DECIDES TO MAKE UN MOVE

PLO votes to join international bodies, sign conventions, despite agreeing not to in exchange for 104 killers.

Mahmoud Abbas

The PLO – the Palestinian terrorist groups' umbrella organization – has decided to authorize moves to join international bodies under UN auspices, and to sign international conventions – even though it had promised last year not to do so, in exchange for the release of 104 terrorist murderers from Israeli jails.

In a session of the PLO Acting Committee in Ramallah Monday, under Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, the PLO leadership instructed the Diplomatic Committee which is subordinate to it, to immediately begin preparing an action plan in this spirit.

When negotiations between the PA and Israel were renewed in 2013, the Palestinians committed to freeze all initiatives to turn to international bodies against Israel, in exchange for the release from Israeli jails of 104 terrorist prisoners who had committed murderous attacks.

Israel has stood up to its side of the deal, releasing 78 terrorist prisoners in three batches to date. The final installment of murderers is due to be released in about 10 weeks' time.

The PLO issued a statement blaming Israel for the current difficulties in the diplomatic process.

The US-brokered talks appear to be exploding in rancor in recent days, with Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon quoted as saying that Abbas “lives on [Israel's] sword.”

“Once we leave Judea and Samaria, he is finished,” Yaalon reportedly said. “In fact, throughout the recent months, there is no negotiation between us and the Palestinians – but rather, between us and the Americans.” Abbas will not give up his demand for the “right of return,” he predicted, until “the last refugee from 1948 is satisfied, and every single refugee will be able to choose between returning or staying in his current place of residence.”

Yaalon is apparently concerned that Abbas will try to get Israel to agree to release more terrorist murderers from jail, and a freeze on construction in Judea and Samaria. He said that this is out of the question: “We have given enough and received nothing...Let us say to our American friends: enough is enough.”

Outline for potential deal to be announced in Jordan; US to push meeting between PA, Israel under Jordanian supervision.

John Kerry

US Secretary of State John Kerry will present a framework deal at the end of January, according to London-based Arabic news outlet Al Hayat Saturday, at a conference in the Jordanian city of Aqaba.

Palestinian Authority (PA) sources told the daily that the presentation will only include an outline of the interim agreement's terms; both sides are due to cement the details of an agreement before April 2014.

Kerry will reportedly present the agreement in Aqaba, at a summit hosted by Jordan's King Abdullah II. The report stated that Jordan would have a hand in finalizing the terms of an agreement, but also that “control over the border and natural resources will effectively remain in Israel's hands." = Lie, will be under the International communtity/Vatican when the Antichrist will move to Jerusalem

Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon confirmed the reports to IDF Radio Saturday, stating that Kerry would return to the region in two days - to promote, in part, a meeting between Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas under Jordanian sponsorship. = How can you have PEACE talk when you know the only thing is to destroy you and steel your land?

Danon also stated to the radio station that he hopes that Israel will not agree to withdraw to 1949 Armistice lines - and that if Netanyahu does, or makes any concessions regarding Jerusalem, he would face stiff opposition from within his own Likud party.

Jordan's involvement in talks only surfaced in the past several weeks. The state has become a meeting place for discussions over talks, with Kerry, Abbas, and Netanyahu each meeting there to discuss the talks with Abdullah II.

Abbas met with Amman earlier this month, ostensibly to "clarify the Jordanian-Palestinian position" over talks - as well as Kerry's role. = Nothing to do about the Jordanian Palestinian position. It's all about the Vatican take over of Jerusalem

"Kerry is still providing ideas, which we are discussing. He will come again soon. We continue to meet with his aides until ideas mature and before he comes up with a framework for the agreement," Abbas stated.

Netanyahu made a last-minute trip to Amman Thursday, meeting with Abdullah II over the PEACE TALKS. = They say PEACE, PEACE, but there's no PEACE. It' an inquisition for the take over of Jerusalem

The contents of both meetings were kept under wraps.

The US welcomed the move, and revealed that they had been aware of Netanyahu's trip.

“As you know, the Jordanians play an incredibly important and influential role, and they have historically, in the PEACE PROCESS as prominent members of the Arab League,” State Department spokesman Jen Psaki stated to reporters. “The Secretary has briefed King Abdullah and Foreign Minister Judeh countless times about what is happening on the ground. So we see that as a productive development.”

“We certainly were aware that they were planning to meet,” she stressed.

The PA insists on full control of the Jordan Valley – along with all other land that was under Jordanian control from 1948 to 1967 – while Israeli experts have warned that the area is strategically critical.

Recent reports indicated that Kerry was pushing the sides to agree to a deal that involves a slow transition from IDF patrols over the region to PA forces, with an international presence. IDF drones would also be deployed over the area, as a means of gathering information about potential terrorist activity.

Earlier this month, a close advisor to Abdullah II insisted that Jordan be involved in talks, stating that the potential deal between the PA and Israel could directly affect the security of neighboring state.

"Jordan needs to be present and involved in all future negotiations,"  former Prime Minister Marouf al-Bahit stated to al Hayat on January 3. "It is unthinkable that Jordan should sit on the side, as an observer. Jordan should join the negotiating table immediately - since it is bound to be the one paying the price of the Israeli and American positions."

In June, current Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Nasr declared that the PEACE TALKS  would directly affect the diplomatic relationship between Jordan and Israel.

"We see the situation around us and the developments that occur before our eyes, and they only strengthen the belief that the PEACE PROCESS is the key to regional stability,” Nsur told Maariv then. “King Abdullah, U.S. envoy John Kerry and other international groups are working hard to promote the issue."

"If progress is made,” he added, “and there will be positive results on issues related to negotiations, Israel will instantly improve its relations with all Middle Eastern countries. I repeat again - the issue of talks between Israel and the Palestinians is the central issue which affects the relationship between Israel and Jordan.”

‘GOVT. TO SPLIT JERUSALEM – WHERE ARE THE RABBIS?’

Rabbi Yisrael Ariel wonders at fellow rabbis’ silence over plan to give away Jerusalem holy sites.

Church of the Holy Sepulchre

The government is planning to cede several sites in ancient Jerusalem to Muslim and Christian ownership, and Israel’s rabbis remain silent, Rabbi Yisrael Ariel has accused.

There is a terrible plan, called the ‘holy basin,’ to split Jerusalem between Christians, Muslims and Jews,” Rabbi Ariel said, speaking to Arutz Sheva.

Rabbi Ariel, who heads the Temple Institute, continued, “The Christians will get the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and Mount Zion, the Muslims will get the Temple Mount, and we Jews will need to visit the Kotel (Western Wall) under the auspices of the Palestinian Authority.”

The Palestinian Authority (PA) denies the Jewish connection to the Western Wall, and PA TV has labeled Jewish worship at the holy site “sin and filth.”

Even if Jewish worship at the Kotel were to continue freely, the loss of access to the Temple Mount would be highly significant. The Temple Mount is the holiest site on earth according to Judaism, and is the place where the First Temple and Second Temple once stood.

The plan to split Jerusalem’s holy sites between various religions “has existed for some time, and now they’re going to implement it in stages,” Rabbi Ariel warned, adding, “During the Pope’s next visit they plan to transfer the Cenacle on Mount Zion to him, turning it into a pilgrimage site.”

He criticized Israel’s rabbis, including the Chief Rabbis, for their silence. “Not long ago they gave the Russian Compound to Russia, now the Christians are restoring a church – unused until now – on the Mount of Olives, and thus they slowly sell Jerusalem, and nobody raises their voice in protest,” he charged.

“Where is the Chief Rabbinate? They’re going to take the heart of Jerusalem and make it a Christian center,” he continued.

“Remember Rabbi Nissim. When the Pope came to visit fifty years ago, he insisted that if the Pope wanted to meet him he could come to his office in Jerusalem, he would not go greet him,” Rabbi Ariel recalled.

He accused his fellow rabbis of focusing on “price tag” vandalism of Arab property rather than the future of Jerusalem. “Three hundred rabbis spoke out against ‘price tag.’ Is this what you’ve found to get involved with, is this what pains you?

“Instead of meeting with the Prime Minister to protest the sale of Jerusalem, you’re speaking out against a handful of youths who burned a rug,” he accused.

PALESTINIAN LEADER TURNS TO PUTIN FOR PALESTINIAN STATE, DUMPS US AND ISRAEL AS PEACE PARTNERS

DEBKAfile Exclusive Report January 24, 2014, 11:07 AM (IST)

Tags:  Mahmoud Abbas,  Vladimir Putin,  oil,  John Kerry,  Binyamin Netanyahu,

Good friends once again

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) launched his “diplomatic intifada” against Israel and exit from the Kerry PEACE INITIATIVE Thursday, Jan. 23, from Moscow. His meetings with President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev marked his breakaway from the US-led PEACE PROCESS with Israel, four months before it was due to expire, and signaled his bid for Russian backing for a Palestinian state.

The Palestinian leader’s defection caught both Secretary of State John Kerry and Prime Minister Binyamin unprepared – and surprised their intelligence agencies. Putin and Abbas almost certainly planned in advance to drop their bombshell on the day both Kerry and Netanyahu were otherwise engaged at two international events in Switzerland, Geneva 2 on Syria and the World Economic Forum.

For the Russian leader it was a chance to show the international community and the Obama administration that he was several steps ahead of the game on the three hottest Middle East issues – Iran’s nuclear program, the Syrian civil conflict and the Palestinian bid for statehood.

The first intimation that something big was up came from an ITAR-TASS agency report Thursday that Abbas and Medvedev were due to sign an intergovernmental agreement for a $1 billion natural gas project in the Gaza section of the Mediterranean Sea. Russia's natural gas giant Gazprom hoped to produce 30 billion cubic metres of natural gas at the site.

The report added that Russia's Technopromexport engineering firm was also considering a small oil development project near the West Bank city of Ramallah, hub of the Palestinian Authority government headed by Abbas.

The Palestinian leader began his conversation with Putin by calling Russia a "great power" that deserved to play a more prominent role in the volatile Middle East region.

Clearly taken aback by the news coming in fast from Moscow, Israeli official sources said Thursday night they could not understand how the Russians and Palestinians came to an agreement on Mediterranean waters off the shores of Gaza, when the rights were already owned by British Gas.

It did not occur to them that the deal Russia proposed to sign with the Palestinians was designed to be an extension of the Russian-Syrian oil exploration contract signed on Dec. 27 in Moscow.

This move confronts Israel with two troubling concerns:

1. Russian interests could potentially encircle Israel’s offshore Mediterranean gas and oil sites and Russian pipelines may block Israel’s export facilities.

2.  Under international law, the Palestinian Authority is not recognized as an independent state and is therefore not empowered to establish Special Economic Zones in the Mediterranean as closed areas for prospecting for oil or gas. This was one of the topics placed on the agenda of the peace talks led by John Kerry.

However, Moscow has high-handedly circumvented this obstruction by taking charge of the offshore exploration opposite Gaza, thereby proffering its Palestinian partner to the deal implicitl Russian recognition of its status as an independent national entity authorized to sign international contracts. This could be the precedent for a process of creeping Palestinian statehood without engaging Israel in negotiation.

Moscow has already proved it can get away with busting international sanctions by concluding a $1.5 bn contract with Tehran for the purchase of half a million barrels of Iranian oil a day, without incurring a word of complaint from Washington.

Two weeks later, Putin and Abbas have acted together to wreck a painstaking US diplomatic initiative actively partnered by Israel for a negotiated PEACE ACCORD with the Palestinians. They have left John Kerry and Binyamin Netanyahu holding an empty shell.

Nabil Shaath, a Palestinian Fatah veteran, could not have put the situation more bluntly when he said Thursday night that it was time to "end the American monopoly on peacemaking, after Washington had proved incapable of imposing agreements on Israel."

Russian tactics for Syria and Iran had proved effective, he said, and there was no reason why Moscow could not perform the same function on the Israeli-Palestinian track.

The Palestinians have clearly opted to follow the examples of other Middle East leaders, ranging from Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to Syria’s Bashar Assad, Saudi King Abdullah and Egyptian strongman Abdel-Fatteh El-Sisi, in making tracks, overtly or covertly, to Moscow. They are opening the door for Russia to fill the void left by American disengagement from region under the Obama administration.
