Rome, 29 juillet 2015 (ZENIT.org) Anita Bourdin

HISTORIC CHURCHES TURN TOWARDS JERUSALEM

There is an hypocrisy here and a big seduction for the charismatic and pentecostal followers of Christ under this global ecumenical unity. In Oct. 4, 2015,  the Global Ministries to join together in 2015 for a week of advocacy and action in support of an end to the illegal occupation of Palestine. And on the World Council of Churches website http://pief.oikoumene.org/en/world-week-for-peace, the Palestine Israel Ecumenical Forum (PIEF) of the World Council of Churches, they will pray for Peace in Palestine http://www.globalministries.org/world_week_for_peace_in_palestine_israel_2015 for the "World Week for Peace in Palestine Israel #WallWillFall" . The dates for the commemoration for all these ecumenical communities are 20 to 26 September 2015. Was that mean? Is the Pope will recognize Palestine as the capital of Jerusalem and Israël in his trip in United States? On the 31th of September, the palestinian flag will be raise outside the United Nations https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNqjGGlKOJk .

That will end the illegal occupation (of Palestine) and secures the legitimate rights and future of both peoples

1. Praying with churches living under occupation, using a special prayer from Jerusalem and other worship resources prepared for the week.
2. Educating about actions that make for peace, and about facts on the ground that do not create peace, especially issues related to prisoners.
3. Advocating with political leaders using ecumenical policies that promote peace with justice.

L’ÉGLISE UNIE DU CANADA ET L'EGLISE UNIE DU CHRIST ETABLISSENT LA PLEINE COMMUNION

ENGLISH :
United Church of Canada approves full communion with UCC

http://www.ucc.org/news_communion_united_church_canada_08132015

22 octobre 2015

IRD LAUNCHES JOURNAL EXAMINING U.S. FOREIGN POLICY FROM CHRISTIAN PERSPECTIVE

Contact: Jeff Walton, Institute on Religion and Democracy, 202-682-4131, 202-413-5639, jwalton@TheIRD.org

WASHINGTON, Nov. 4, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- Evangelical Christians are among the most influential groups of activists and voters in America today. Yet, when it comes to scholarly discussion of international affairs, conservative evangelicals are astonishingly underrepresented. With the launch of Providence, the Institute for Religion and Democracy plans to fill this void by providing conservative Protestant and Evangelical perspectives on international issues.

    Who:
Mark Tooley, Institute for Religion and Democracy, President

William Kristol, The Weekly Standard, Founder

Robert Nicholson, The Philos Project, Executive Director

Joseph Loconte, Kings College, Professor of History

    Mark Livecche, Providence, Managing Editor

Paul Marshall, Hudson Institute Center for Religious Freedom, Senior Fellow

David Shed, Patrick Henry College, former acting Director, Defense Intelligence Agency

Faith McDonnell, Institute on Religion and Democracy, Religious Liberty Director

Keith Pavlischek, retired USMC colonel and military ethicist

    What:
Opening remarks, panel discussions and a lunch address.

    Where:
Newseum, 555 Pensylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001

    When:
    November 6, 2015 11a.m.–3p.m. (EST)

IRD President Mark Tooley commented:
"Dangerous assumptions about a peaceful world where force of arms and strategic calculation are no longer needed pervade much of American Christianity. There has arisen a new generation of Evangelicals detached from and even embarrassed by earlier Evangelical leadership that enthusiastically supported a strong U.S. foreign and military policy.

"Young Evangelicals are prone to a neo-Libertarian isolationism, pessimistic that America has any major constructive role in sustaining global order.

"The young and the comfortable in today's America too often assume their security and ease are the human historical norm. They don't know that war, genocide, tyranny, extreme poverty, and oppression are far more common to the human experience.

"Providence seeks to foster Christian conversation about our moral duties as Americans in this place and time to seek, promote, and preserve an approximate justice with liberty for as many as possible, to include above all the liberty to hear and proclaim the Gospel around the world.

"Today's Evangelical pacifists and isolationists are partly a reaction against past Evangelical and Protestant failure effectively, if at all, to articulate historic Christian ethical teaching about God's purpose for nations and governments. Providence will strive to rectify that failure and to initiate an exciting new adventure in seeking to interpret where America fits in the divine constellation of an ever onrushing human history."

CATHOLICS AND LUTHERANS IN US NOTE 32 POINTS OF AGREEMENT

Request Lutheran World Federation and Vatican's Council for Christian Unity to Assent to Document

Washington, D.C., November 04, 2015 (ZENIT.org) Staff Reporter

Drawing on 50 years of national and international dialogue, Lutherans and Catholics in the United States together have issued the "Declaration on the Way: Church, Ministry and Eucharist," a unique ecumenical document that marks a pathway toward greater visible unity between Catholics and Lutherans. The October 30 release of the document comes on the eve of the anniversary of Martin Luther's posting the 95 Theses, which sparked the Protestant Reformation.

"Pope Francis in his recent visit to the United States emphasized again and again the need for and importance of dialogue. This Declaration on the Way represents in concrete form an opportunity for Lutherans and Catholics to join together now in a unifying manner on a way finally to full communion," said Bishop Denis J. Madden, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Baltimore, Catholic co-chair of the task force creating the declaration.

"Five hundred years ago wars were fought over the very issues about which Lutherans and Roman Catholics have now achieved consensus," said ELCA Presiding Bishop Elizabeth A. Eaton. "Church, ministry and Eucharist have been areas of disagreement and even separation between our two churches, and we still have work to do both theologically and pastorally as we examine the questions. The declaration is so exciting because it shows us 32 important points where already we can say there are not church-dividing issues between us, and it gives us both hope and direction for the future," she said.

At the heart of the document are 32 "Statements of Agreement" where Lutherans and Catholics already have points of convergence on topics about church, ministry and Eucharist. These agreements signal that Catholics and Lutherans are indeed 'on the way' to full, visible unity. As 2017 approaces, the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, this witness to growing unity gives a powerful message to a world where conflict and division often seem to drown out more positive messages of hope and reconciliation The document also indicates differences still remaining between Lutherans and Catholics and indicates possible ways forward.

In October both the ELCA Conference of Bishops—an advisory body of the church—and the Committee on Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) received and unanimously affirmed the 32 Agreements. ELCA bishops requested that the ELCA Church Council accept them and forward the entire document to the 2016 ELCA Churchwide Assembly, the denomination's highest legislative body.

The document seeks reception of the Statement of Agreements from The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) and the Vatican's Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity (PCPCU). The LWF is a global communion of 145 churches in 98 countries worldwide. The ELCA is the communion's only member church from the United States.

The conclusion invites the PCPCU and the LWF to create a process and timetable for addressing the remaining issues. It also suggests that the expansion of opportunities for Lutherans and Catholics to receive Holy Communion together would be a sign of the agreements already reached. The Declaration also seeks a commitment to deeper connection at the local level for Catholics and Lutherans.

In December 2011, Cardinal Kurt Koch, president of the PCPCU, proposed a declaration to seal in agreements in the areas of the church, ministry and the Eucharist. The ELCA and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops responded to the Cardinal's proposal by identifying Catholic and Lutheran scholars and leaders to produce the declaration, drawing principally on the statements of international dialogue commissions sponsored by the LWF and the PCPCU and a range of regional dialogues, including those in the United States.

A significant outcome of the Lutheran-Catholic dialogue in the United States and internationally is the Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification (JDDJ), signed in 1999 in Augsburg, Germany. With the JDDJ, the LWF and the Catholic Church agreed to a common understanding of the doctrine of justification and declared that certain 16th century condemnations of each other no longer apply.

A.B.

Merci.

KOSOVO’S ‘CRYPTO-CATHOLICS’ ARE MAKING THEIR WAY BACK TO THE CHURCH

Now Muslims, They Have Christian Roots Dating Back Centuries

Kosovo, which declared independence from Serbia in 2008, is home to a little known remarkable community of “crypto-Catholics.” Though considered Muslims, their roots, explained Magda Kaczmarek—who oversees a number of countries in Eastern Europe for the international Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need—are in Catholicism.

Their stories go back hundreds of years: in the 16th century, conquering Ottomans forced the region’s population to convert to Islam. Most complied to avoid discrimination—but in their hearts they remained Christian. The majority hailed from the region of Rugova, which was the childhood home of the late former president of Kosovo, Ibrahim Rugova. It is public knowledge that he was baptized shortly before his death; he also gave a plot of land to the Church in the heart of the capital city of Pristina, where now stands the new Cathedral of St. Mother Teresa.

There are some 50,000 regular Catholics in the fledgling nation, whose population of 1.9 million is largely Muslim. However, says Kaczmarek, a growing number of Muslims, especially young people, are discovering their Christian roots and are joining the Church, which “expects these young people to spread their faith in their personal networks and later on within their families,” said Ms. Kaczmarek.

Father Marjan Uka is a Kosovo priest charged with looking after the newly baptized ‘crypto-Catholics.’ He has to make do with very little funding from the Church, relying on aid agencies instead. Mass stipends are one form of income. Adnan (not his real name) is one of the priests’ charges. Along with his wife and two children, he was recently baptized.

“Compared to Islam,” he said, “Christianity has a depth that is filled with God’s light.” “It is as if he wants to pray day and night,” said Ms. Kaczmarek, “as if he wants to make up for the years that, until his baptism, he has officially lived as a ‘Muslim.’” Unfortunately, Adnan’s village does not yet have its own church.

Veton, a small business owner in the same village, said that “before the Ottomans Islamicized the region of today’s Balkans, we were Christians.” Veton has never been to a mosque and was never religious. He is currently taking catechism classes, but is not sure if his adult children will make the step with him. “Their friends may not understand,” he said.

Ms. Kaczmarek said that “'crypto-Catholics' are not badly considered by Kosovo’s Muslims; on the contrary, when someone is baptized they are congratulated. It is considered a big celebration, as the Catholic Church in Kosovo is well respected.”

However, she added, “we have learned that lately an ‘imported Islamism’ is bringing with it an intolerant attitude toward other religions.”

PASTOR BENT (BENJAMIN) ALTSCHUL OF GREAT AMONG THE NATIONS RECAPS POWERFUL REVIVAL EVENTS OF 2015 IN EUROPEAN CHURCHES AND DECLARES AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE 'TAKING BACK AMERICA' IN 2016

Just an other message to the evangelical community to make christians asleep when the destruction upon them is at the door. Most of these peoples are trap in this false awakening. The
presidential candidate Donald Trump is just an other one who infiltrate the evangelical movement to bring this false patriotism to lead peoples in this Rome's crusade.

For over 30 years Great Among The Nations Christian Ministry has spoken the sound of the trumpet of God's calling for the lost to surrender their lives to Jesus Christ while encouraging believers to respond to the great awakening prior the Rapture.

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 30, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- Pastor Bent Altschul is a full time teacher and pastor's coach whose life story is amazing in itself. At two years old, he was an orphaned Holocaust survivor. Then, at 28 years of age, with only $100 to his name, he arrived in America and turned a college textbook publishing idea into a company profiting in the millions. He intimately experienced, "With God, nothing is impossible!" He's frequently quoted saying, "You cannot out-give God!" In addition to a passion for helping and healing the hurts of others, God endowed him with many unique and desirable spiritual gifts for the church.

Third-generation Senior Pastor Ezekiel Agular of Gethsemane Apostolic Church, announced in a recent revival and healing event in California, "In all my life I have never seen the power of the Holy Spirit administered to the people as Pastor Altschul has done at our church. This meeting was way over-the-top of my expectations!"

After completing successful European ministry events of 2015, Pastor Altschul remarked; "We are already gearing up for increased ministry events in 2016 in the United States. We are witnessing the sovereign hand of God through a grass-roots level awakening of people from all walks of life across America. God-Centered Americans are experiencing a movement of revived patriotism and hope as they watch presidential candidate Donald Trump declare his campaign from city to city to "Make America Great Again."

According to Altschul, "Many religious leaders are uniting their voices articulating God's graciousness for His people in America, despite the tumultuous times we are enduring today. God is once again calling for revival as the final stages in preparation for the soon coming, the 'Blessed Hope' starting in America, that will resonate out to other lands."

SUISSE : UN NOUVEAU JOURNAL INTERCANTONAL POUR LES PROTESTANTS

A saveur oecuménique.

A contrario, Emmanuel Fuchs a insisté.

(cath.ch-apic/prot/rz)

500 ANS DE LA REFORME : UN « LIVRE DE PRIERES COMMUN »

À géométrie variable selon les traditions liturgiques

janvier 14, 2016By Océane Le Gall Oecuménisme

WIKIMEDIA COMMONS - Υπουργείο Εξωτερικών

THE EVANGELICAL APOSTASY OF THE PRESENT DAY

VIDEO : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BheUebiKZaI

At the present time, an appalling Evangelical Ecumenical Apostasy has happened. What is at stake is the very righteousness of Christ Jesus the Lord in His perfect, finished work that is proclaimed in the Gospel. In fact, many well-known Evangelicals in their endeavors to attract people have concealed the Gospel of grace. The video that you are about to see gives the names of those who embrace this horrendous apostasy. We ask that you make this video known to your church. The hour has come for biblical separation from those who have perverted the very Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. In face of all this abounding deception, how do we live and reign daily with Christ Jesus? The Apostle Paul gives us the answer, “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:20-21). As you profess your faith in Jesus Christ alone, if you can, let us hear from you at: richardmbennett@yahoo.com As the need is massive, kindly make the video known to others by forwarding its URL to your church, family, and friends. Thank you.

TELEVANGELISTS SAY THEY NEED PRIVATE PLANES BECAUSE OF DEMONS FLYING COMMERCIAL

The real question is whether or not the demons have to remove their cloven hooves when going through security
jeffre2012 YouTube channel

Don’t you hate it when you fly on a commercial airline and get accosted by a swarm of locusts? And don’t get us started on trying to get the smell of brimstone out of your slip-on shoes. We are, of course, talking about the swarms of demons that are on every major airline flight. What, you’ve never seen them? Well you just aren’t paying close enough attention.

According to Christian televangelists Kenneth Copeland and Jesse Duplantis, the friendly skies aren’t so friendly, because they are just lousy with the likes of Beelzebub and Baphomet. That was their justification for why they need multi-million dollar private jets -- at the expense of their followers of course.

The pair ramble on for more than five minutes, detailing what appears to be a psychotic break while they claim to be having casual conversations with their god.

They then point out that they would not be able to do such things on a regular flight, because people would begin questioning their sanity, which is absolutely true in every way.

They go on to call airplanes “long tubes” that have “a bunch of demons” who would make it hard for them to go about doing their job of praying and saving souls. Of course, since their has literally never been a single demon attack on any plane (or anywhere else, for that matter) their reasoning is suspect at best.

Televangelists are often under fire for their questionable lifestyles that seem to be in conflict with the very Bible and religious traditions they purport to uphold.

While their religion’s sacred text makes it extremely clear that materialism and wealth are anathema to their god, these guys go out of their way to justify it, usually by claiming that extra-biblical sources (such as private conversations with God) allow it.

Copeland and Duplantis in particular are often criticized for their so-called “prosperity gospel,” which teaches that getting rich off the backs of devout people is not only okay, but is a desirable outcome. Compare this with what the Bible says and you’ll see the problem.

So while these two are out there arguing that they need multi-million dollar airplanes to shuttle them around, they seem to have no problem with the billions of other people who fly every day with no protection from these imaginary creatures. But it’s not anyone should expect better like from modern day snake oil salesmen like televangelists.

IRD: EVANGELICAL TRUMP ENDORSEMENT SHOWS RELIGION'S ONGOING INFLUENCE

"Religion, including Evangelicalism, remains central to the American soul and will be a major factor in this presidential campaign and many, many more in the future." -- Mark Tooley, IRD President

Contact: Jeff Walton, Institute on Religion & Democracy, 202-682-4131, 202-413-5639 cell, jwalton@TheIRD.org

WASHINGTON, Jan. 28, 2016 /Christian Newswire/ -- As voters in Iowa prepare for next week's first-in-the-nation caucuses for the Republican and Democratic presidential nominations, pastors and other high-profile religious leaders are shaping the contests.

Rival campaigns invested early in outreach efforts to pastors in a state where more than a quarter of residents identify as Evangelical Christians. Among registered Republicans, the percentage is even higher.

IRD President Mark Tooley commented:

"Jerry Falwell, Jr.'s endorsement of Donald Trump and the accompanying controversy illustrate the persistence of religion's influence, especially Evangelicalism, in American public life.

"Falwell, whose father was a Religious Right founder, has been widely criticized by other Evangelicals for backing Trump. But the endorsement shows how diverse and decentralized American Evangelicalism has always been. Nobody speaks for it, it's constantly fluid, and often unpredictable.

"Religion, including Evangelicalism, remains central to the American soul and will be a major factor in this presidential campaign and many, many more in the future. This dynamic religiosity is intrinsic to America's self-understanding."

BAPTIST WOMAN WEARING MUSLIM HIJAB TO SHOW 'SOLIDARITY'

11:30AM EDT 3/18/2016 Sally Morrow/RNS

Mike and Martha DeVries pose for a photograph in their home in North Kansas City, Missouri. (Religion News Service) Join us on our podcast each weekday for an interesting story, well told, from Charisma News. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

To protest the anti-Muslim rhetoric of this presidential campaign, high school counselor Martha DeVries decided to wear a hijab in public every Monday.

DeVries, 47, attends a Baptist church and identifies as "a follower of Jesus," but said she felt a responsibility to outwardly display her acceptance of Muslims and refugees.

In the January/February 2016 issue of Herald, Baptist News Global's magazine, where her story first appeared, she said, "We have a lot of immigrants living close to the high school where I work," adding that when the weather's nice the local park "looks like the United Nations."

DeVries said she also felt inspired by a sermon her pastor delivered on making a difference.

She started in December and hasn't received any negative comments on the street or in the school. But one commentator who read her story on Facebook wrote: "Just wait till they make you wear that, or they chop off your head if you don't agree with that."

"I've also had people ask, 'Don't you think you are perpetuating this really ultraconservative, degrading view of women by wearing a hijab?'" DeVries said.

She said her motivation is merely to "walk in someone else's shoes,"  which she plans to continue until the end of the school year in May.

"It's really easy to be a Christian in the United States. Lots of people share my faith, lots of people share my holidays, so it's not really a struggle," she said.
"What's a headscarf? It's 3 yards of material. That shouldn't separate me from someone whose humanity is so much like mine."

Her husband, Mike DeVries, a part-time youth pastor, supports his wife's gesture.

"Christians need to take a step back and evaluate their actions," he said. "Are we really making a difference, in what our purpose is, by bashing people?"
DeVries has made Facebook friends with Muslim people all over the world interested in her story.

And to the critics, she responds that her friends who wear hijabs are by no means subservient.

"They are very strong, independent women who choose to cover their heads as part of their faith. I don't feel like it's because they feel intimidated to do that," said DeVries, who is not the only American Christian to don a hijab out of solidarity.

Several months ago, a tenured professor at Wheaton College near Chicago posted a photo of herself wearing one with a caption that said Muslims and Christians "worship the same God." The evangelical school suspended her and she eventually agreed to leave her post.

Laeeq Azmat, secretary of the Islamic Center of Northland in North Kansas City, said he appreciates DeVries' gesture.

"This particular act is very helpful—a Christian sister helping us or helping other Christians realize how a person might feel in the scenario," he said.

CONFORMING THE CHURCH TO THE NEW WORLD ORDER

“One Church for One World.” (World Council of Churches , 1948)

“...change will probably be radical, if not total. Those whose lives are dedicated to serving the Church of the past will resist these suggestions with a vehemence that always emerges from threatened hierarchies and dying institutions…. But the seeds of resurrection are present in the exile, and in time those seeds will sprout and bloom. When they do, we will once again be able to see continuity between the Church of the past and the purged and opened church of the future.Episcopal Bishop John Shelby Spong, Why Christianity Must Change or Die [1]

"But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."  (1 Cor. 15:57)

Year 2000 ushered in the United Nations’ "International Year of the Culture of Peace.” It brought new pressures to establish the global management system President Clinton called the Third Way – one that allows governments to yield responsibilities, but not control, to their “private” and “civil” partners who will be required to implement the vision.[2]
Church-state alliances have been established from coast to coast, not by law, but by an army of willing and often well-meaning religious leaders.  Those who share the UN vision of the 21st Century community lead the parade. They seek a "global village" of "socialist" equality – unified, not by faith in the Biblical God, but by faith in elite leaders and their deceptive promises.[3]

Christian evangelism doesn’t fit this union. It offends people of other faiths. It threatens the religious leaders who have built their platform on humanitarian ideals rather than the Bible. And it clashes with the international standards for tolerance and "mental health."

Keep in mind, this spiritual shift didn’t start in the nineties. Liberal church leaders realized almost a century ago that Biblical absolutes, separateness, and evangelism would block their agenda. To clear the way, they built the foundations for today’s worldwide movement that would:
Equate Biblical Truth and Evangelism with Hate and Intolerance

I’m not surprised that Chicago’s liberal Council of Religious Leaders opposed a Baptist plan to send thousands of volunteer missionaries into their domain in the summer of 2001. Nor is it strange that the Southern Baptist Convention’s refusal to cancel its plans fueled the fury of two groups: those who equate Biblical values and evangelism with hate and intolerance and those who feel they had been specifically targeted for conversion.[4]

Such Christian “intolerance” and “exclusiveness” was outlawed by UNESCO’s Declaration on Tolerance [5] and unacceptable to the Hindu, Muslim and Jewish leaders. Naturally, those non-christian leaders did not want Christians to pray for their salvation or write critical descriptions of their beliefs.

Rabbi Ira Youdovin, executive director of the Chicago Board of Rabbis, wrote,
“While we are confident that your volunteers would come with entirely peaceful intentions, a campaign of the nature and scope you envision could contribute to a climate conducive to hate crimes.”[6]

[4]Hate crimes? Richard Land, president of the SBC’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission wrote an answer. Its warning should concern everyone who values our increasingly fragile Constitutional right to follow and express our convictions:

“To say that Southern Baptists should refrain from an evangelistic campaign because it might, as the council said, ‘contribute to a climate conducive to hate crimes,’ is not a very far step away from then claiming that the act of witnessing itself to those whom you believe need to be saved is a ‘hate crime.’...

“It seems they affirm our right to express our beliefs as long as we agree not to do so. As soon as we seek to practice what we preach, they severely criticize our 'arrogance' and our ‘presupposition’ that non-Christians ‘are outside God’s plan of salvation’…

“I grieve… that a Methodist minister would make such statements in response to fellow believers’ attempts to heed the Great Commission commandment of Jesus our Savior, who it should be remembered did say, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.’ (John 14:6)[7]

You may question the wisdom of the ways the SBC trains its missionaries and handles its private training books. But its intention was to spread love, not hate, and its plans include feeding and clothing the poor. “We have a message that we think will bring encouragement and hope to people,” said Herb Hollinger, an SBC spokesman.[8]

Still, their message will bring little hope to those who seek socialist solidarity. The Chicago Council can’t build its kind of unity without silencing contrary voices.

Redefine Christianity

Few things offend the liberal church establishment more than an uncompromising faith in Jesus Christ as the only way to God.  It “smacks of a kind of non-Jesus-like arrogance,” said Bishop C. Joseph Sprague, a member of the Council of Religious leaders and the head of 425 churches in the United Methodist Church's Northern Illinois Conference. Referring to the SBC summer campaign, he continued,
Citation:

“I am always fearful when we in the Christian Community move beyond the rightful claim that Jesus is decisive for us, to the presupposition that non-Christians … are outside God’s plan for salvation.”[9]

Bishop Sprague apparently believes that people of every religious persuasion would be safe within God’s saving grace. If so, Christ’s death has little significance today, an evangelistic crusade would be futile, and the Bishop’s response would make perfect sense. This campaign could, he said, “upset the unity that has carefully developed between Protestants, Catholics and Jews in Chicago during the past few years.”[9]

He is right. It could! Bishop Sprague’s kind of community oneness permits diversity in the non-essentials, but it demands unity in some key areas that violate Biblical truth. It forbids divisive attitudes as well as Biblical values, and it sets its new social standards above God’s word

Small wonder, then, that when World Net Daily asked the Methodist bishop if “preaching against homosexuality could be considered a hate crime,” he answered, "…it certainly can. It creates a climate in which hate can fester." [9]

As chairperson of the National Shalom Committee and founder of Communities of Shalom, Bishop Sprague is committed to a course of action that would guard his city against “the offense of the cross.” He has no objections to social action, but Baptist evangelism would be unacceptable:
Citation:

They are welcome to come, if they're coming to join with us in acts of mercy and justice…. We are not interested in their coming to proselytize or to suggest, however well intentioned, that Jews, Hindus, or others are second class."[10]

At over 260 Shalom sites across the country (including Chicago) churches are working with their communities “toward systemic change.” Collaborating with community organizations and residents, they pursue benevolent  social goals such as economic development, affordable housing, multicultural relationships, and “health and healing that addresses issues affecting physical, emotional, and social wholeness.”

“Spiritual and congregational development” is encouraged through “study circles” which pair “congregations from different faith traditions” in small groups “for dialogue.” Here they “grapple with public issues and build community.”

But in these consensus groups, everyone must follow certain guidelines. They must “seek common ground,” be willing to compromise, and come to consensus. To hold on to absolute truths and refuse to conform to the group values would be considered uncooperative and intolerant.
It’s an effective process. That’s why Marx promoted it and Lenin made it the cornerstone of the Soviet education system. It’s guaranteed to undermine Biblical faith and redefine Christianity. (See Mind Control)

The Shalom website includes the standard mission and vision statements that are part of the new global management systems. It quotes the Bible but puts Scriptures into a context that changes the meaning. It also shows why, from the bishop’s perspective, the Baptist plan would undermine his efforts to establish solidarity.
Citation:

In John 14:27, Jesus, in one of his final moments with his disciples, offers peace... not as the world gives but as God gives (NRSV). Shalom is the transforming power of God at work through the church in individuals and the community. Through the power of God, Communities of Shalom work for spiritual renewal, community economic development, and healthy communities.”[11]

Notice the twisted truths. While Shalom is the Hebrew word for peace, John 14:27 points to a different kind of peace – an inner peace that can only be enjoyed by believers who trust and follow Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. Unlike the world's peace, the peace He offers doesn’t depend on comfortable circumstances.
Citation:

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace,” He told His disciples. “In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

In contrast, “healthy communities” refers to a U.S. program linked to the World Health Organization, a specialized UN agency, which intends to impose its socialist uniformity on every community under the banner of peace. .... Its aim is to measure and monitor beliefs and values everywhere, then remediate all who refuse to compromise. To “promote the… optimal development of the mental health of the population,[12] it must stamp out Biblical faith and obedience. (See The UN Plan for Your Mental Health

Conform the Church to UNESCO’s Guidelines

The standards for 21st Century spirituality are outlined in UNESCO’s 1994Declaration on the Role of Religion in the Promotion of a Culture of Peace.” You probably haven’t heard of this “soft” international law signed in Barcelona in December, 1994. Yet, its guidelines have spread throughout the world, fueled by multicultural education, interactive technology, books such as the Harry Potter series, the media, movies, television and last, but not least, American churches.
As you read these short excerpts from UNESCO's Declaration on the Role of Religion, try to remember where and when you last heard these politically correct attitudes or assertions:
  • “Religions haveled to division, hatred, and war.”
  • “Peace entails that we understand that we are all interdependent….collectively responsible for the common good.”
  • “Our communities of faith have a responsibility to encourage conduct imbued with wisdom, compassion, sharing, charity, solidarity, and love; inspiring one and all to choose the path of freedom and responsibility. Religions must be a source of helpful energy.”
  • “We should distinguish fanaticism from religious zeal.”
  • “We will favor peace by countering the tendencies of individuals and communities to assume or even to teach that they are inherently superior to others.”
  • “We will promote dialogue and harmony between and within religions… respecting the search for truth and wisdom that is outside our religion.”
  • “We call upon the institutions of our civil society, the United Nations System, governments, governmental and non-governmental organizations, corporations, and the mass media, to strengthen their commitments to peace and to listen to the cries of the victims….”
  • "We call upon the different religious and cultural traditions to join hands… and to cooperate with us….”
In case you are wondering how UNESCO could possibly be linked to Chicago’s Council of Religious Leaders or to Methodist Bishop Sprague, lets go back to the fifties again. There we see both the roots of religious synthesis ( the blending and blurring of beliefs and convictions through the consensus process) and the hidden partnerships that link church leaders to powerful politicians who carry the “Christian” social and economic agenda into Congress and the White House.

Build the Framework for Global Control

In 1942, six years before the World Council of Churches was formally launched, its organizers within the Federal Council of Churches held a National Study conference at Wesleyan University in Ohio. Among the 30 delegates were 15 bishops, seven seminary presidents, and eight college and university presidents.

John Foster Dulles, who later became Secretary of State in the Eisenhower administration, chaired the conference. As head of the Federal Council's inter-Church “Commission to Study the Bases of a Just and Durable Peace,” Dulles submitted the conference report. It recommended:
  • a world government of delegated powers
  • immediate limitations on national sovereignty
  • international control of all armies and navies
  • a universal system of money
  • worldwide freedom of immigration
  • a democratically controlled international bank [the Federal Reserve]
  • even distribution of the world’s natural wealth. [15]
That was 1942!  Soon afterwards, Time magazine wrote a summary of the report. In its statement below, notice these words:  “a new order... through voluntary cooperation within the framework of democracy or through explosive political revolution.” This solution, “voluntary cooperation within the framework of democracy” gives us a glimpse of the true meaning of nice-sounding words such as democracy, volunteerism, participation (involving everyone in  the consensus process), partnerships, and civil society:

“Some of the conference’s economic opinions were almost as sensational as the extreme internationalism of its political program. It held that a ‘new order of economic life is both imminent and imperative' – a new order that is sure to come either ‘through voluntary cooperation within the framework of democracy or through explosive political revolution.’ ...it denounced various defects in the profit system for breeding war, demagogues and dictators…. Instead, 'the church must demand economic arrangements measured by human welfare…'[16]

In 1943, John Foster Dulles convened another Council of Churches conference. It endorsed “Six Pillars of Peace,” a plea for a world political organization – a United Nations.  In his speech, recorded in the Council’s 1944 Biannual Report, Dulles said,

"Interest in this subject had been enormously increased by the declaration of the Moscow conference, which stressed the necessity of creating at the earliest possible moment a general international organization…. This statement, signed by more than 1,000 Protestant leaders, was given to the press and mailed to the President and members of Congress.”[17]

The most infamous of the Council leaders, Alger Hiss, was an active member of the Communist party. That didn’t keep him from serving President Roosevelt both in the State Department and as his adviser at the 1945 Yalta Peace Conference. Nor did it block his acceptance as coauthor of the UN charter and as Secretary General of the United Nations organizing conference in San Francisco in 1945. The Soviet connection may even have encouraged John Foster Dulles to recommend that Hiss head up the multimillion dollar Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Strong links to high places would speed their agenda.

Establish the One World Church

While world socialism and economic redistribution [18] topped the Council agenda, global spirituality followed close behind.  Speaking to the Methodist General Conference in 1948, Bishop G. Bromley Oxnam, President of the American wing of the newly formed World Council of Churches, announced the Council’s slogan: “One Church for One World.” [19] He continued,

“Methodism is determined to preach a gospel that insists that all men are brothers and children of one Father, to whom final loyalty is due.”[20]

Since then, the mindset of the American public has slowly conformed to the global standards. That, too, was planned long ago. When the International Congress on Mental Health met in London back in 1948, it presented a report titled “Mental Health and World Citizenship.” Listen to the message:
“Social institutions such as family and school impose their imprint early.... Thus prejudice, hostility or excessive nationalism may become deeply embedded in the developing personality... often at great human cost.... Change will be strongly resisted unless an attitude of acceptance has first been engendered.[21]

With church and education leaders paving the way, that “attitude of acceptance” is fast becoming the norm both in churches and communities. To the general public, politically correct spirituality and world government seem normal and necessary. Even in churches uniformity based on compromise has become more acceptable than Biblical unity based on the cross. Those who resist the new ideology are painted as enemies to peace and progress.

Jesus’ warned us this would happen:

“I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you….  If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you…. because they do not know Him who sent Me.” John 15:20-21

Many churches today ignore those verses. They seem so obsolete and irrelevant. But reality tells us that -- in the years ahead -- those who resist “common ground”  will face increasing pressures to keep silent or to compromise.  History is repeating itself, and our models may be the forgotten pilgrims who fled to America three centuries ago. Like many faithful Christians today, they longed for freedom to follow the uncompromising truth that is no longer tolerated by religious leaders and a secular/pluralistic culture.

A little book called, Seeing the Invisible: Ordinary People of Extraordinary Faith, shows the similarities between politically correct 17th Century England and our nation at the dawn of the third millennium:
October 1662 was a dark month for the church of Jesus Christ in Scotland, comparable only to Black Bartholomew’s Day in England two months earlier. Then two thousand English pastors and teachers had been evicted for their unwillingness to comply with the terms of the Act of Uniformity. ...all Scottish preachers were required to seek preordination at the hands of the bishops -- a measure to which few could submit in good conscience…. Those who would not comply should lose their ministries forthwith….

"The compilers of this retrograde legislation imagined that most of Scotland’s preachers were like themselves, loving security and income above considerations of conscience. They anticipated that no more than ten men would prove awkward and refuse reordination. In the event, over four hundred Scottish preachers chose poverty, homelessness, suffering and even death rather than the path of compromise."[22]

The framework for global control is in place. So is the process for managing, molding and monitoring “healthy communities” and “healthy people” around the world.

Three centuries ago, this nation offered a shelter – a place of refuge from the persecution that has pursued God’s faithful followers since Christ died on the cross. When our nation shuts its doors to Biblical truth, where will Christians hide?

The answer is simple: in Jesus. The Bible tells us that all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.” (2 Timothy 3:12). But, in the midst of the struggles, He will fill us with a peace the world can never understand. By His grace, we will stand firm and immovable while demonstrating His gentle love to all who hunger and thirst for the everlasting peace and unity only found in Him.

A NEW CONFERENCE TO ENERGIZE YOUR FAITH

Contact: Royce Hood, 309-323-0901 ext. 700

POMPANO BEACH, Fla., April 11, 2016 /Christian Newswire/ -- Catholic Witnesses, Inc. has announced details for the Flourish Your Faith Conference, which will be held on April 22nd & 23rd, 2016, in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Flourish welcomes an ecumenical coalition of nonprofit ministries and it features international speakers, an expo, break-out sessions, praise and worship music and free lunch. The speaker lineup includes international speakers Deacon Keith Fournier, founder of Common Good Foundation; Ryan Bomberger, founder of the Radiance Foundation; Leah Darrow, international speaker from top model to role model; and John Stemberger, president of the Florida Family Policy Council

"The goal is for people to leave Flourish feeling energized in their faith," said conference co-organizer Adriana Gonzalez. "To live their faith in the public square without shame or fear. In today's world, we see all too often the struggle facing Christians who wish to protect their sacred beliefs."

Flourish provides a time and place for Catholics and Christians from different denominations to gather together in unity for worship, encouragement, education, and fellowship. The dynamic Christian band, Louvation, will lead times of praise and worship, interspersed throughout the event.

"Flourish 2016 is a conference for teenagers and adults," explains Victoria Meyer who, with several others, coordinates the event. "Speakers this year, such as Leah Darrow and Ryan Bomberger, have huge youth-appeal. They really resonate with young people."

Leah Darrow was a top model who, after a dramatic encounter with Christ, became a role model of purity. With an equally moving testimony, Ryan Bomberger's biological mother was raped, yet chose to give him life. Today Ryan speaks passionately and personally to defend life in the womb.

Meyer encourages families with teenagers and young adults to register as a family. "We are seeing parents signing up with their kids. It will be a bonding experience for them. We love that," she says with a smile.

Flourish is a free conference but registration is required because space is extremely limited. Attendees will be invited to share, participate and develop their Christian virtues. For the full lineup of speakers and programing and to register visit FlourishYourFaith.com

On April 14, 2016, Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa’s senior pastor Brian Brodersen made the following astonishing remarks on his Facebook page,[1]What a fantastic introduction to the new Alpha film series! Good one @nickygumbel  https://t.co/BvmvHbbZbL.” That link Brodersen provided leads to Alpha Course leader Vicar Nicky Gumbel of the UK. As researcher and berean Mark Jeffries stated recently on Facebook, Brian has partnered with HTB [Holy Trinity Brompton] in the last few years in organizing his "Creation Fest"[2] [UK] - But this, this is an outright endorsement!!”[3]

There will be many who will not understand the significance of this post. We will help you connect the dots.

As we are living in a period of church history when many are straying away from sound biblical truth, we need to contend for the faith that was “once delivered to the saints.”

The saints Jude was referring to are those who have embraced the gospel according to the Scriptures. As Paul told the church at Corinth, there is another gospel, another spirit, and another Jesus. The saints had been led astray by the serpent, and they did not know they had been deceived. Paul was trying to get them back on track. Some paid attention; most did not.

Ever since I wrote the book New Wine or Old Deception in 1996, I have had a serious concern about the direction evangelical Christianity has been heading. The book was written and then published by Chuck Smith’s publishing ministry, the Word for Today. It was written as a warning to the church with regard to the “experience-based” Christianity that was happening at that time known as the “Toronto Blessing.”

Without describing the entire Toronto Blessing phenomenon in this commentary, I will say this: The Toronto Blessing was triggered off when Vineyard pastor Randy Clarke came to the Toronto Airport Vineyard in January of 1994. He held several nights of meetings and then lit “the fire.” Randy Clarke had received his “anointing” from the “Holy Spirit Bartender” from South Africa, Rodney Howard Brown.[4]

For years afterwards, the transferrable anointing spread around the world. “It” was also called “it.” Once someone got “it” they were able to give “it” away. “It” was transported to the UK by Nicky  from the Holy Trinity Brompton Anglican Church in England. I personally witnessed Baptists experiencing “it” at a Baptist church on a stopover in London from Moscow in 1996 and wrote about this in New Wine or Old Deception

Nicky  who transferred “it” to the UK, leads the Alpha program and has authored much of it. People from all over the world have attended Alpha meetings from many different denominations. While these sincere Christians have believed they were learning biblical truths, they did not understand arsenic was mixed with the topics. Soon teachings relating to the transferable anointing crept into the program. All this is documented in radio commentaries that were presented on Calvary Chapel’s KWVE radio station during this period of time.

Later, Nicky  visited the late Pope John Paul II in Rome, and an agreement was made between them to “evangelize” together. Perhaps  did not realize that Pope John Paul had already initiated “The New Evangelization Program[5]to win back the “lost brethren” (Protestants) to the “Mother Church.” Apparently,  had not done his homework.

Although many were warned by Understand The Times on K-WAVE radio programs and also written commentaries, the UTT radio program on K-WAVE soon came to an end. We were told not to mention these topics anymore or we would be removed from the station. Later our programs were removed by the K-WAVE manager.[6]

In remembering that time, I was in Rome speaking at a conference when I received word from the K-WAVE management that our program Understand The Times was cancelled. Of course, I knew why. Before I left for Rome, I had told the manager one day what Pastor Chuck Smith had told me personally in a private meeting. He had prayed for me in a private meeting that was attended by his youngest son. Pastor Chuck prayed, “God, please protect Roger from the wolves in Calvary Chapel. Of course, this meant Chuck Smith knew there were wolves in Calvary Chapel.

Later, when I told several members of the Calvary Chapel Board that they needed to watch for wolves and who some of the wolves were, they refused to listen to me. Later, when I was very ill from a fall that caused a bleed in my brain, they spread lies and rumors about me that I had lost my mind. Of course, bad news spreads quickly. Many are still saying the same thing today.

But back to my point for this commentary. Knowing even a few of these facts about  and the Alpha Course, why would Brian and Cheryl Brodersen partner with Nicky  and the Alpha Program? Remember Nicky  partnered with Rome. You can check this out and see the photo of  at Rome yourself. Actually, Gumbel has visited Pope Francis as well as Pope John Paul II.[7]

I am unable to give you the answer as to why Brian Brodersen would give such a hearty affirmation to Nicky Gumbel and the Alpha program, but if you are interested, perhaps you should do your own research and also ask your own questions. Maybe if you are close to Brian and Cheryl, you could ask them yourself.

Or here are a few more questions: Why would Greg Laurie partner with Rick Warren who has so clearly partnered with Rome?[8] Speaking of Greg Laurie, why would he partner with Lou Engle?[9] Why would Lou Engle partner with Bill Johnson.[10] Lou Engel and many others have partnered together to usher in the Latter Rain and the “Second Pentecost." [11] Why?

These revivalists are convinced the “Holy Spirit” will be poured out over the entire planet very soon and there will the greatest revival in history. Stadiums will be overflowing with people seeking God and converted via “signs and wonders.”

Where is this in the Bible, and what did Jesus say about the deception that would proceed his Second Coming? Was Jesus deluded or just not aware of what was going to happen? Of course not.

For your information the Roman Catholic Church teaches this pouring out of the “spirit” will be done by “Mary” the “mother” of Jesus. This can be documented in the book The Spirit and the Bride Say Come.[12] It is also called the Second Pentecost.

 [13]

Charisma Magazine suggests that America will be transformed and ministries like Greg Laurie’s Harvest and Franklin Graham Crusades will be a major part of this great revival. In the 1999 December issue of Charisma Magazine (see cover below – used legally under the U.S. Fair Use Act), please look carefully at this cover for detail. A sidebar in the issue states: “Fasten your seatbelt. A Christian revival could sweep the world in the next 25 years.”[14]

Note the illustration of the church on the front cover. This church is called the Church in the New Millennium. This issue was published 16 years ago. Charisma is calling for a Christian worldwide revival to happen in the next 25 years. This means there are only 9 years left. The countdown has begun.

Also please carefully note the architecture of the church and the surrounding structures. The church of the New Millennium is modelled after St. Peter’s Cathedral and St. Peter’s Square. Notice the arms welcoming all religions to the mother of all churches just like the welcoming arms at St. Peter’s today inviting the world to the “mother of all churches.” Notice the phallic symbol in the middle of the square. This is an obelisk, the same as the children of Israel had erected.

Finally, notice the door entering to the Church for the New Millennium. The door is a pyramid, commonly known as the “all seeing eye of God.” I don’t need to tell you what that represents. Have you ever heard about the 33rd degree Masons?

Now, as I conclude this commentary. Have you read in the Bible that there will be a global revival and the world will come to Jesus the savior, or did you read that the world and the church at large will be duped in the last days by doctrines of demons?

For those reading this commentary who are not reading their Bibles, I would suggest this is the time start reading the Word of God. Quit following men and their ideas and their church-growth, seeker-friendly movements. Many of them scoff at the return of Jesus Christ and say there will be no end-time deception but rather will be a worldwide revival as never known to man. They believe they will be the instruments God will use to bring this global “awakening” to fruition. But where is the scriptural backing for such a notion?

Meanwhile, watch the signs—weather, earthquakes, diseases, wars, immorality—are looming out of control. And the only way you can truly prepare for what is coming is read your Bible and look up. Your redemption will be soon.

DIED : TIM LaHaye, AUTHOR WHO 'LEFT BEHIND' A LONG LEGACY

Jerry B. Jenkins: 'Thrilled as I am that he is where he has always wanted to be, his departure leaves a void in my soul.'

Tim LaHaye

Tim LaHaye, the best-selling author best known for the Left Behind series, “graduated to heaven” early this morning after suffering a stroke at age 90.

Tyndale House Publishers
Tim LaHaye

His family announced the news of his passing at a San Diego hospital on his ministry Facebook page.

On the eve of his death, ministry partners, fans, and friends urgently asked for prayer on social media this weekend, offering a wave of early tributes that spread through end-times prophecy circles and chapters of Concerned Women for America (CWA), the 600,000-member public policy organization founded by LaHaye’s wife, Beverly. Some circulated a statement by LaHaye’s daughter Linda: “He will not recover from this, he will soon be graduated to heaven.”

“Tim was one of the most godly men I have ever known,” said David Jeremiah, LaHaye’s successor at the San Diego church he led for 25 years (then named Scott Memorial Baptist Church, now named Shadow Mountain Community Church). “Almost every conversation I had with him ended with his praying with me and for me. He wrote me extended letters of appreciation for what God was doing in our church. We shared long lunches together talking about ministry and praying for our nation.

“When I look back over [his] life, I am reminded of Paul’s words concerning King David: ‘He served his own generation by the will of God’ (Acts 13:36) Rolling Eyes ,” stated Jeremiah, senior pastor of Shadow Mountain and founder of Turning Point. “Tim’s ministry will continue for many years through the books he wrote, the organizations he founded, and the people that he influenced. But I will miss him when I look out from my pulpit next Sunday.” = Catholic Sabbat

“Whose life hasn't been affected in some way by this man?” wrote Prophecy Watchers, a two-year-old ministry based in Oklahoma City that announced the news of LaHaye’s stroke, describing him as a friend and supporter. “This is a great man of God and if the Lord takes him home, he leaves behind a wonderful legacy. In the words of Steve Green, ‘May all who come behind us find us faithful.’”

“Thrilled as I am that he is where he has always wanted to be, his departure leaves a void in my soul I don’t expect to fill until I see him again,” stated Jerry B. Jenkins, who co-wrote the Left Behind books with LaHaye, in the obituary released by the LaHaye family. [Jenkins

wrote%20a%20tribute%20for%20CT%20on%20%E2%80%9Cthe%20Tim%20LaHaye%20I%20knew.%E2%80%9D] The founder and president of Tim LaHaye Ministries and founder of the PreTrib Research Center, LaHaye sold 62 million copies of the series with Jenkins. “In terms of its impact on Christianity, it’s probably greater than that of any other book in modern times, outside the Bible,” the late Jerry Falwell, a friend of LaHaye’s, told Time magazine in 2005.

Left Behind among the landmark titles that have shaped evangelicalism. LaHaye and Jenkins not only had readers rethinking the rapture, but also the potential popularity of Christian novels. “The book launched a series that launched a marketing empire that launched a new set of rules for Christian fiction. The series spent a total of 300 weeks—nearly as long as the Tribulation it dramatized—on The New York Times's bestseller list.”

The series, whose first title released 21 years ago this month, still sells in the six figures annually, according to Jenkins.

“Tim LaHaye’s history as a published author is intertwined with the entire history of Tyndale House,” stated Mark D. Taylor, chairman and CEO of Tyndale House Publishers. “His first book, Spirit-Controlled Temperament, was published 50 years ago in 1966. It was the very first book published by Tyndale House apart from the Living series of Bible paraphrases. And Tyndale’s highest-selling series of trade titles has been the Left Behind series. ... Tim was a wonderful Bible teacher and pastor and an inspiration for our entire industry. We will miss him.”

“It was LaHaye's idea to fictionalize an account of the Rapture and the Tribulation,” according to his bio on the official Left Behind website. It notes:

text a écrit:

LaHaye originated the idea of a novel about the Second Coming. "Sitting on airplanes and watching the pilots," he told People magazine, "I'd think to myself, 'What if the Rapture occurred on an airplane?'" LaHaye looked for a co-writer for several years and was then introduced to Jerry B. Jenkins through their mutual agent, Rick Christian, president of the Colorado Springs literary agency, Alive Communications, who also negotiated the book deal.

Tyndale House Publishers

“Writing the Left Behind novel series for him and traveling with him all over the country to promote it, I saw the softer side of a man known for strong opinions and polemic views,” stated Jenkins. “The Tim LaHaye I got to know had a pastor’s heart and lived to share his faith. He listened to and cared about everyone, regardless of age, gender, or social standing. If Tim was missing from the autograph table or the green room of a network television show, he was likely in a corner praying with someone he’d just met—from a reader to a part-time bookstore stock clerk to a TV network anchorman.”

Earlier this month, LaHaye publicly celebrated his 69th wedding anniversary with his wife. Time magazine labeled the pair “the Christian Power Couple” in 2005, listing them among the country's most influential evangelicals. “[Beverly] has been my faithful partner in marriage, parenthood, ministry, and many things we never dreamed. We are still in love today!” he wrote. “God has been faithful to us and we continue to claim as our life verse, Proverbs 3:5 & 6, ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.’”

His ministry bio notes:

text a écrit:

He also founded two accredited Christian high schools, a school system of 10 Christian schools, San Diego Christian College (formerly Christian Heritage College), and assisted Dr. Henry Morris in the founding of the Institute for Creation Research, the nation's foremost exponent of creationist materials.

LaHaye has written more than 60 non-fiction books on a wide range of subjects such as: family life, temperaments, sexual adjustment, Bible prophecy, the will of God, Jesus Christ, and secular humanism with over 14 million in print, some of which have been translated into 32 foreign languages. His writings are best noted for their easy-to-understand and scripturally based application of biblical principles that assist in facing and handling the challenges of life.

His ministry obituary notes:
text a écrit:

During the 1970s Dr. LaHaye was instrumental in gathering a coalition of Southern California pastors together to address a progressive agenda that was undermining traditional family values. Also in the ’70s he encouraged the late Jerry Falwell Sr. to establish the Moral Majority as a way to build a similar coalition nationally. He was also widely credited with garnering evangelical support behind the campaign of George W. Bush.

A Bob Jones University alumnus, LaHaye received a Doctor of Ministry degree from Western Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Literature degree from Liberty University. He and his wife lived in Southern California and have 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
