A NEW MUSLIM VISION: REBUILDING SOLOMON'S TEMPLE TOGETHER

To cast believers out is a heinous and cruel policy, an offense not only to men, but to Islam.

The Temple as seen in the Holyland Model of Jerusalem, a 21,520 sq. ft., 1:50 scale-model of the city of Jerusalem in the late Second Temple Period.

The unique importance of the Temple Mount to Judaism and to Islam makes the location vulnerable to tensions and conflicts between Jews and Muslims. Usually, these incidents originate in rumors such as: “The Jews are coming today to bomb the mosques and build their Third Temple.” Obviously, false accusations and baseless suspicions like these turn the site from a holy place of prayer and love into a site of violent political demonstrations. And, consequently, potential escalation of tension brings more restrictions and discomfort to all. Who benefits from this? Surely not the believers.

While the Israeli government ensures limited public access to the Temple Mount regardless of religious beliefs, only Muslims are allowed to pray at the place, which is known to Muslims as Haram al-Sharif. Otherwise, the government has prohibited everyone except Muslims from worshipping there since 1967, due to security concerns. Nevertheless, Muslims, too, are occasionally restricted. The Jordanian Waqf which administers the site has restricted non-Muslims from entering the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque since the year 2000. What’s more, non-Muslim religious symbols are not allowed to be worn while entering the site.

Freedom of worship is an essential issue. The Temple Mount, where the First and Second Temples stood, is the holiest place to the people of Israel. However, it is no less holy to both Muslims and Christians. Since this is a location that God has announced to be a “house of prayer for all nations,” it should be a place of festivity for all believers. As all who call on the God of Abraham are brothers, Jews and Christians should be able to offer prayers there in dignity and peace along with Muslims. To cast believers out from such a place, to prevent worship there, is a heinous and, quite frankly, cruel policy, which is an offense not only to men, but to Islam. God Himself condemns anyone who forbids worship:

Citation:
“And who is more unjust than he who forbids that in places for the worship of God, God’s name should be celebrated?-whose zeal is (in fact) to ruin them? It was not fitting that such should themselves enter them except in fear. For them there is nothing but disgrace in this world, and in the world to come, an exceeding torment.” (Koran 2:214)
Likewise, the Tanakh declares the will of God to make this unique spot a common sanctuary where all people learn to coexist and pray together:

Citation:
“For then will I turn clear language to the Nations, that they may all call upon the name of God, to serve Him shoulder to shoulder.” (Zephaniah 3:9)

Anywhere one prays to the One and Only Almighty God is a house of prayer. Therefore, it is an atrocious thing to forbid anyone from praying at the Temple Mount. The longings of Bnei Israel to pray in that place can never be an offense to a Muslim. On the contrary, it is very pleasant to see Jewish people praying at the Temple Mount. Indeed, all the faithful people should be able to pray there. As a matter of fact, in Istanbul’s Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and others houses of worship, foreign tourists often come and pray. Some perform their religious obligations according to their own faith, and it is something quite beautiful to see.

As a devout Muslim, I take pleasure when Jews pray to Almighty God, and their praying anywhere in the world, including at the Temple Mount, would be a glad tiding for me as well.

As a devout Muslim, it would be a joy for me to see Prophet Solomon’s Temple rebuilt as well. No, you did not hear me wrong. Prophet Solomon’s Temple being rebuilt in all its magnificence and glory would be a great delight for me, as it would be to any Muslim. Under different circumstances, in an atmosphere of trust, love and brotherhood, Muslims would welcome this with enthusiasm. The Temple of Solomon is also a historically important place, and rebuilding it would be a wonderful occasion for all believers to contemplate. Every Muslim, every believer, will want to experience the spirit of those days again, and strive to bring the beauty of those days back to life. Actually, it is everyone’s aspiration for that city to be adorned, to be beautified, and to regain the magnificent glory it had in the days of the Prophet Solomon.

Solomon’s Temple being rebuilt does not entail any harm to these shrines. So I beg my Muslim brothers and sisters not to take my words in a direction that I do not intend. They should not feel unease at all, because the al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock will stand until the Last Day. Nobody will be able to harm them, because they are under the protection of God.

There is a broad expanse of land around the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. The land there is quite convenient in that respect, and the Temple can be placed just a little way from Qubbat As-Sakhrah, and a little ahead of Masjid el-Aqsa.

The Prophet Solomon—King Solomon as the Jews call him—is a prophet to Muslims too. All Muslims have profound love for him. Prophet Solomon had a superior understanding of beauty and aesthetics, and no doubt, rebuilding of his Temple in its original form would be a splendid undertaking. Decorated exactly as it was, with the same beautiful ornaments, covered in gold, adorned with fruit trees and beautiful gardens, and restored to its former glory, would be splendid!

It is of course very exciting to remember those beautiful days, to rebuild this beautiful compound, and let this beautiful prayer house be open to all. This very much excites me as a Muslim and excites other believers as well. The very thought of Christians, Jews and Muslims cooperating to rebuild this house of worship, together hand in hand, and worshipping there together, is a matter of joy.

Think of the waste of energy and resources consumed all over the world by the contention between Arabs and Jews, which could be used to beautify these holy places, to put them in a brilliant state, instead! There is plenty of space, and there are overwhelmingly sufficient resources for everyone to live there in peace and tranquility and enjoy their freedom of worship.

How have we allowed these unending wars, sporadic clashes, security walls, unnecessary discrimination and restrictions to bar us from being able to embrace each other as brothers? Why do we take it for granted that we are under any obligation to perpetuate these senseless conflicts? Why does everyone simply presume that this is the way things are meant to be? We all want suffering to end and peace to prevail in the region! Obviously we cannot achieve this peace as long as we lack the spirit of unity.

The Jews have the exact same vision, with the Third Temple being a center for all believers, not only for Jews:

Citation:
“Also the aliens, that join themselves to God, to minister unto Him, and to love the name of God, to be His servants… Even them will I bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer; their burnt-offerings and their sacrifices shall be acceptable upon Mine altar; for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.” (Isaiah 56:6-7)

We will rebuild—not only the Temple of Solomon, but those of all the prophets too. As a matter of fact, apart from the Prophet Solomon’s Temple, the other prayer houses of other prophets, the places where they inhabited, should be rebuilt as well. The places where they worshiped should be restored and glorified. Similarly, they should be opened, and Christians, Muslims and Jews should be allowed to visit them at the same time. The places where the Prophets Abraham, Joseph, Isaac, Jacob, Aaron lived should be restored and beautified also.

The main entrance to the Old City is the Jaffa Gate. This gate was built by Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent in 1538. The name in Arabic, Bab el-Halil, or Hebron Gate, means “The Beloved,” and refers to Prophet Abraham. In the entrance hall of the Gate, there is a stone on which the following text is engraved: “There is only one God and Abraham is his friend.” It is written this way because Jews and Christians were also using this gate along with Muslims, and the text refers to our common belief in the Prophet Abraham. So this should be the spirit in this site: We all worship the same One God and we are all children of Prophet Abraham!

Let us embrace each other with respect and love! Let us talk together, and envision better days in which we can all pray, and unite in celebration and brotherhood in this Prayer House of our blessed Prophet Solomon, and praise the glory of Almighty God together! Let every Christian, every Muslim, every Jew unite in this one godly desire! Let us endeavor to achieve this together, and let us believe that it is possible for everyone to perform their prayers in joy and peace!

POSSIBLE MUSLIM APPROVAL OF THIRD TEMPLE CONSTRUCTION

from the March 19, 2013 eNews issue

As reported in The Jewish Press on March 14, 2013, there is a new call for something previously unthinkable. Sinem Tezyapar, a Muslim TV producer in Turkey, has called for the rebuilding of the “Prophet Solomon’s” Temple.

She assures her fellow Muslims that they need not be nervous because:

“There is a broad expanse of land around the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. The land there is quite convenient in that respect, and the Temple can be placed just a little way from Qubbat As-Sakhrah, and a little ahead of Masjid el-Aqsa.”

There are overtones of wanting peace and togetherness with the Jewish people in her statements as well. This is a very interesting development and would be easy to dismiss as just one secular Muslim’s simplistic idea.

Unfortunately, the fact that she is a woman in the Muslim world makes the idea even less feasible. However, this is not the first time this idea has come from the lips of a Muslim. According to an article in Word Net Daily, an influential Muslim leader by the name of Adnan Oktar in Turkey is described as making the same proposal, to rebuild the Jewish Temple, calling it the “Palace of Solomon.”

The Jewish people have longed for their Temple to be rebuilt. In an article about the rebuilding of the Temple, Hassidic writer and publisher Mordechai Housman, describes the first and primary obstacle as being political, and second being safety reasons due to Muslims. If a significant Muslim leader would declare that Solomon’s Temple should be rebuilt, then if the Muslim community would follow, it is likely the Jewish people would jump at the opportunity and be able to overcome whatever ceremonial obstacles also lie in the path.

This is very significant prophetically, because the Jewish Temple must be standing at the mid-point of the time period commonly known as the Tribulation. The Apostles John and Paul, the Prophet Daniel, and Jesus Himself make references to this Temple standing.

Daniel 9:27a says:

Citation:
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease.” (KJV)

The “he” spoken of here is the coming world leader, known as the Antichrist. The “one week” is the seven years of the Tribulation period.
In Matthew 24:15–16, Jesus references this very passage:
Citation:
“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:” (KJV)

This “Abomination of Desolation” is set up in the Most Holy Place, which is well known to be the Holy of Holies in the Jewish Temple. Thus this Temple must be standing in order for the “Abomination of Desolation” to happen.
Paul writes in 2 Thessalonians 2:3–4:
Citation:
“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” (KJV)

Here also is a reference to the Antichrist (the man of sin) declaring himself God inside the Temple of God. This also is the Jewish Temple.
In Revelation 11:1–2, John tells us:
Citation:
“And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.” (KJV)

Forty-two months is also equivalent to half of seven years. In other words, the Temple which John refers to is standing, not only in the middle of the Tribulation, but it has been standing for the entire first part of the Tribulation.

There are several big milestones that students of prophecy are waiting for. One of those is the construction of the Third Jewish Temple for it does indeed seem to be a prerequisite to the beginning of the Tribulation period. If not a prerequisite, then it does definitely need to be standing by the midpoint of the Tribulation. With hints that the Muslim world might be agreeable to its construction, it would seem this particular milestone might be nearer than many think.

 WILL ROCKEFELLER BUILD 3rd TEMPLE?

Internet abuzz with report of biblical proportions ...

Temple Mount in Jerusalem
JERUSALEM – A Rockefeller is raising capital to rebuild the Jewish Temple, said the news release published on CNN Money’s Internet site and other news sources. The plan would include a united Jewish and Palestinian Arab state. A Jewish group promoting the rebuilding of the Temple was reported to be cooperating.

The story spread virally through the evangelical Christian blogosphere.
But it was all part of an elaborate hoax.

The release, filed with MarketWire and republished at CNNMoney.com, claims “Supriem David Rockefeller” is director of a company, Kinti Holdings group, which is working with a Jewish Temple organization to rebuild the Third Temple.

States the release: “Kinti Holdings will be raising funds to go towards building the Third Temple in Jerusalem in strict coordinance with The Temple Institute, Rabbi Hiam Richman and The Palestinian National Interest Committee (PNIC) and supporting Husam Bajis for President of Palestine.”

Richman, international director of the Temple Institute, a Jewish Temple activist group, told WND the release is a “scam.”

“The Temple Institute strongly protests the use of its name and that of Rabbi Chaim Richman in a series of fraudulent press releases and advertising claims that are now circulating on the Internet,” read the Temple Institute’s official response to the release.

Understanding the future from the past, get “Prophecies for the Era of Muslim Terror”

Continued the Institute’s response: “The claims made by these men … are false and malicious, and their apparent intentions are to take advantage of the Temple Institute’s sincere supporters and rob them of funds. The Temple Institute advises its friends and supporters to avoid being taken in by this scam.”

The original “Rockefeller” press release about rebuilding the Third Temple, however, has been spreading like wildfire on Christian websites and blogs.

The release was filed with MarketWire, a leading newswire service. A spokesman for Marketwire did not immediately return a WND request for comment. Is it not uncommon for newswire services to post releases without first fact-checking the content. CNNMoney.com routinely reprints business press releases.

The company that filed the release, Kinti Holdings, has a track record of making strange announcements.
On Monday, Kinti filed a release using the Rockefeller name and claiming it is seeking “a debt/equity swap” with “any and all national brand name corporations.”

Another release claimed the company is partnering with “Supriem David Rockefeller” and his “$500 million” worth of entertainment business. The release says Rockefeller is a “financial magnate with strong ties to the entertainment industry.”

Yesterday, hours after a WND request for comment on the Third Temple announcement was sent to the sole e-mail address listed for Kinti, the company posted a statement claiming, “Kinti is now conducting Due Diligence of a Major National Brand Name Chain concerning debt for equity and will enter into a mandatory quiet period.”

The “management” section of Kinti’s website states, “All of the previous Officers, Directors and Board of Directors have resigned. Richard Byrd has been appointed the new CEO and the only member of the Board of Directors.”

The company claims to own a mine in Guyana, South America, but doesn’t specify where the mine is other than pointing to a Google Earth map. The site posts a picture of what it claims is a mining permit from Guyana.

Who is Supriem David Rockefeller?

As for “Supriem David Rockefeller”? A spokesman for the Rockefeller Foundation told WND he doesn’t exist.

A routine web search for the name brings up scores of conspiracy websites claiming, among other things, that “Supriem” is a secretive 34-year old heir to the Rockefeller dynasty who is fighting for a New World Order.

One site says it found Supriem really is a con artist and convicted thief who goes by different names and lives in Williamson County, Tennessee.

Some outlandish claims about “Surpiem” include:
  • Supriem has DNA from different races, including Anunnaki, Draco Triple Helix, Elohim and more. He has triple helix blue blood in a chimera state with red blood and more than one DNA sequence, which is what chimera is. His triple helix is the reptilian blood.
  • Supriem has a fortune in the trillions and is seeking to finance a high-speed bullet train.
  • Supriem exerts enormous influence over Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush and Henry Kissinger, who are working on a “counter-New World Order.”
Rebuilding Third Temple

While the Third Temple press release may be a hoax, the Temple Institute is anything but. The group is involved in restoring a Jewish presence to the Temple Mount, where current Israeli laws bar Jews from ascending the Mount during most hours of the day while Muslims are granted nearly 24-hour access.

The Temple Institute also focuses on preparation for the rebuilding of the Third Temple. The group has been preparing ritual objects suitable for Temple use. Many of the more than 90 ritual items to be used in the Temple have been re-made to the highest standards the Temple Institute.

The First Temple was built by King Solomon in the 10th century B.C. It was destroyed by the Babylonians in 586 B.C. The Second Temple was rebuilt in 515 B.C. after Jerusalem was freed from Babylonian captivity. That temple was destroyed by the Roman Empire in A.D. 70. Each temple stood for a period of about four centuries.

The Temple was the center of religious worship for ancient Israelites. It housed the Holy of Holies, which contained the Ark of the Covenant and was said to be the area upon which God’s presence dwelt. All biblical holidays centered on worship at the Temple. The Temples served as the primary location for the offering of sacrifices and were the main gathering place for Israelites.

According to the Talmud, the world was created from the foundation stone of the Temple Mount. It’s believed to be the biblical Mount Moriah, the location where Abraham fulfilled God’s test to see if he would be willing to sacrifice his son Isaac.

The Temple Mount has remained a focal point for Jewish services for thousands of years. Prayers for a return to Jerusalem and the rebuilding of the Temple have been uttered by Jews since the Second Temple was destroyed, according to Jewish tradition.

The Al Aqsa Mosque was constructed in about A.D. 709 to serve as a shrine near another shrine, the Dome of the Rock, which was built by an Islamic caliph. Al Aqsa was meant to mark what Muslims came to believe was the place at which Muhammad, the founder of Islam, ascended to heaven to receive revelations from Allah.

Jerusalem is not mentioned in the Quran. It is mentioned in the Hebrew Bible 656 times.

Islamic tradition states Muhammad took a journey in a single night on a horse from “a sacred mosque” – believed to be in Mecca in southern Saudi Arabia – to “the farthest mosque” and from a rock there ascended to heaven. The farthest mosque became associated with Jerusalem about 120 years ago.

According to research by Israeli Author Shmuel Berkovits, Islam historically disregarded Jerusalem as being holy.

Berkovits points out in his new book, “How Dreadful Is this Place!” that Muhammad was said to loathe Jerusalem and what it stood for. He wrote Muhammad made a point of eliminating pagan sites of worship and sanctifying only one place – the Kaaba in Mecca – to signify the unity of God.

As late as the 14th century, Islamic scholar Taqi al-Din Ibn Taymiyya, whose writings influenced the Wahhabi movement in Arabia, ruled that sacred Islamic sites are to be found only in the Arabian Peninsula and that “in Jerusalem, there is not a place one calls sacred, and the same holds true for the tombs of Hebron.”

A guide to the Temple Mount by the Supreme Muslim Council in Jerusalem published in 1925 listed the Mount as Jewish and as the site of Solomon’s Temple. The Temple Institute acquired a copy of the official 1925 “Guide Book to Al-Haram Al-Sharif,” which states on page 4, “Its identity with the site of Solomon’s Temple is beyond dispute. This, too, is the spot, according to universal belief, on which ‘David built there an altar unto the Lord.’”

THE VATICAN AND THE TEMPLE VESSELS

Wednesday, 01 January 2014 19:40 By Nesanel Gantz – Aish.com

Is there any substance to the claim that the Church has in its possession vessels from the holy Temple?

Reprinted with permission from Ami magazine.

Rabbi Yonasan Shtencel of Jerusalem never imagined that his Talmud learning would lead him to explore the age-old mystery surrounding the disappearance of the vessels of the Beis Hamikdash, the Holy Temple. Are they really hidden in the catacombs of the Vatican in Rome?

Rabbi Shtencel is the owner of a successful pharmaceutical company, and is fortunately able to spend much of his time in learning Torah.

"About three weeks ago I was learning Talmud with my study partner, Rabbi Hirschman, where it talks about Rabbi Elazar ben Rabbi Yosi seeing several objects from the Beis Hamikdash: the Menorah, the Table, the tzitz (crown) of the High Priest and the paroches (curtain). They also found the grindstone of Beis Avtinas."

"I thought to myself," continued Rabbi Shtencel, "Wow! This happened almost 2,000 years ago. I wonder where they are today.” I began to do research into the topic and discovered several instances of people claiming to have seen the Temple’s vessels firsthand. For example, there's a famous story about Rabbi Yitzchak Bokovza, zt"l, of Tripoli, Libya.

(He passed away in 1930.) In his work Beit Halachmi he recounts having gone to Rome for a wedding, where he met the Pope who took him to the Vatican and showed him the vessels of the Beis Hamikdash. The Arch of Titus, which dates back to the first century, also shows the Romans carrying the Menorah. To me, this obviously meant it was in their possession.

"Being that there’s a new pope now who's supposed to be sympathetic to the Jews and considers Rabbi Skorka of Argentina a good friend, I figured it would be a good time to reach out to the Vatican’s representative in Israel regarding the vessels. I wrote a letter in Hebrew and had it professionally translated, then sent copies to the Vatican in Rome as well as to the Pope's representative in Israel, Papal Nuncio Archbishop Giuseppe Lazzarotto. I also sent it via email. I'm not exactly a president or prime minister, but I figured I'd take a chance. Even though it wasn't likely I'd get an answer, a Jew has to do his effort. Amazingly I received a response via fax."

Rabbi Shtencel takes exception to the fact that the papal nuncio assumed his query was an accusation of anti-Semitism, something he insists he clearly took precautions to avoid. "I wrote my letter carefully and respectfully so as not to come across as accusatory in any way. I believe I accomplished that in my letter. I deliberately appealed to his heart rather than bolstering my argument with supposed proofs. I also found the nuncio’s diplomatic usage of the words 'return to the legitimate owners' rather than 'to the Jews' troubling. Perhaps the Church believes that they are the legitimate owners. For that reason, I found the response unsatisfactory."

"I'm not a professional researcher and I don't plan on bringing a lawsuit. But I did an awful lot of research and found over 20 references to the vessels being in the Vatican.”
As far as the opinion that the vessels are supposed to remain hidden until Mashiach comes, he said, "Let them first return whatever they stole from the Jewish people, then our rabbis can sit down and figure out what to do. Just getting them to admit it or even allowing us to take photographs would be an accomplishment. They have thousands of Jewish books and manuscripts, and everything is a big secret."

As for what we can do to rectify the situation, Rabbi Shtencel said, "Perhaps when Pope Francis visits Israel we should greet him with large signs in English and Spanish so the international media will be aware of what's going on. Everyone should know that we haven't forgotten about the vessels."

Historical Inaccuracy

Professor Lawrence H. Schiffman, one of the world’s leading Jewish historians, is Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education at Yeshiva University. As chairman of the International Committee for Interreligious Consultations, the official Jewish dialogue partner of the Church, he has worked many years to improve Jewish-Catholic relations and has served as a negotiator with the Vatican over a number of issues, including the legal status of Christian sites in Israel. I asked him about the factual validity of the claim that the Vatican has our vessels.

"Well, I'll tell you this," he began. "I do believe that most Jews think that the Vatican has them. The theory that the Church somehow got them is a fascinating story in and of itself. It's also amazing that Rabbi Shtencel got an answer. It would actually be nice if the Vatican had them because then they could give them back. But the historical facts show that it would have been virtually impossible. So while it is a popular theory, I highly doubt you will find a true scholar who has knowledge in this area who would lend it credence. According to those who have studied it, it's only a modern myth.

"You have to realize that the Vatican didn't exist in the first century of the Common Era. The Vatican only came into being around the year 700. And Rome was sacked by the Visigoths, the Vandals, the Saracens and the Ostrogoths in and around the 5th century, so whatever vessels might have been there were destroyed. The Vatican wasn't established until hundreds of years later. In fact, the popes only took up residency there in 1377. We know that the vessels were taken to Rome from the Sages and other testimony, including Josephus. The Arch of Titus clearly depicts the Menorah. But there's no way the vessels made it to the Vatican, as the Vatican wasn't the successor of the Roman Empire."
Professor Schiffman discussed several factors that may have led to acceptance of the faulty notion.

The Manuscript Myth

"Many people are under the impression that the vessels aren't the only valuable Jewish items the Vatican has hidden," he continued. "Any mention of hidden vessels is usually accompanied by the mention of hidden manuscripts. People believe the Vatican has troves of them, including long lost writings of the Rambam, Ritva and others. But in truth, almost all of the manuscripts in the Vatican's archives are available for viewing online, and others are available in microfilm.

"One time, someone approached me about a specific manuscript he claimed the Vatican was keeping secret. I was alarmed, and went to the Hebrew University where I found that exact manuscript. The entire Vatican Hebrew Collection is available online and dispels the notion that the Vatican would decide to publicize certain manuscripts and not others; it makes no sense. On the contrary, they would want to show the world they have them and put them on display. There’s nothing to gain by keeping it secret. Only a few years ago the Vatican released the Rambam manuscripts for an exhibit in Israel. I am aware that someone claimed that the Vatican had secret writings of the Ritva and others, but every work he mentioned had already been made public on microfilm."

The True Secrets of the Vatican

For some reason, the theory that the Vatican has the Temple’s vessels has gained particular notoriety in the last 70 years, and Professor Schiffman believes this is not a coincidence.

"There are several things the Vatican is keeping secret," he explained, "which may have contributed to the myth of the vessels. The Vatican certainly has a lot of information regarding Pope Pius XII's true actions during World War II, and also possibly a list of Jewish children who were kept in Christian homes during those years."

The idea that the vessels are hidden in secrets caves or catacombs is also intriguing. Explains Schiffman, "There’s an amazing archeological expedition going on beneath St. Peter's Basilica, where people claim to have seen them. So far, they've uncovered an entire Roman village and new discoveries are being made every day, but no one has ever come across any vessels. But I do admit that the idea is enthralling. A few years ago I was in the Vatican with someone who had connections to Pope John Paul II. We had gone there to discuss a possible exhibit. When I noticed two Menorahs on a shelf in his office he asked, 'Do you want to see some Judaica we have in the Vatican? I'll take you downstairs.' Naturally, I started to salivate. We took an elevator six floors down to a conservation area where ten women were working on restoring old objects. He showed me two pairs of tefillin that were stored in a cardboard box. 'That's all I have,' he said. My point is that if they have anything, they don't know about it.

"It really shocks them and even amuses them that some Jews believe this rumor. Several years ago, when former Israeli Chief Rabbis Amar and Metzger visited the Vatican, they were instructed not to ask this question. One of them did, though, and while he was talking to the pope, some of the people who work in the Vatican office were chuckling. They find it ridiculous."

(To be continued next week)

ISRAELI MINISTER CALLS FOR 'THIRD TEMPLE' IN AL-AQSA COMPOUND

Palestinians are suspicious of so called archeological excavations taking place under the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound

World Bulletin / News Desk

The Israel Minister of Housing and Construction Uri Ariel on Friday expressed his wish to see the construction of a "Third Temple" in the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Al-Quds (East Jerusalem).

According to the Alray Palestinian News Agency, Uri Ariel said "The first Temple was destroyed in 586 BCE, the second Temple in 70 CE, and ever since the Jews have been mourning its loss."

He then went on to say "Al-Aqsa Mosque is currently in place of the temple, despite the temple being much holier than it. Al-Aqsa Mosque is only the third most holy mosque in Islam."

"Now that Israel has once again become a Jewish sovereign state, there have been occasional calls to rebuild the Temple," he added.

Palestinians who have stated their desire to see Israeli occupying forces retreat out of East Jerusalem back to their 1967 borders are suspicious of so called archeological excavations taking place under the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound. They believe the works are destabilizing the foundations of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and have already reported damage to the building.

In recent months, the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound has been subject to numerous raids by far-right Jewish settlers under the protection of Israeli security forces, who have performed Jewish rituals on the site. On a number of occasions last year, the Israeli authorities banned Muslim congregational Friday prayers at the mosque.

TEMPLE TALK RADIO: THE HOLY TEMPLE: MYTH OR REALITY?

VIDEO : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2yvRvCOhMM&feature=youtu.be&hd=1

(Exodus 25:8)

Shevat 30, 5774/January 31, 2014

Do you suppose that G-d has a favorite commandment? Of the six hundred and thirteen Torah commandments which G-d bestowed upon Israel, which one do you think does He love best? Anyone who has children realizes at once the absurdity of this question. A parent loves all of his or her children equally. Each child is different from one another, unique in his own way, but a parent's love for each one of them is the same, binding them together as one in their heart.

Of course G-d doesn't have a favorite commandment. Each commandment is equally dear to G-d's heart. Yet there is one Torah commandment that stands out from the rest. "They shall make for Me a sanctuary, and I will dwell among them." (Exodus 25:8) This eloquent and simple commandment, (only five words in Hebrew), is preceded and followed by many tens of "enabling" commandments, that is, commandments that instruct us just how to make for G-d the sanctuary He so desires. First we must raise up ourselves by giving of our skills and our possessions and our time so that the many Temple vessels can be built as prescribed. And then we must roll up our sleeves and get to work, preparing the menorah and the table of the showbread, and the incense altar and the ark of the covenant with its two cherubim and the parochet curtain, and so on and so on. From the beginning of the 25th chapter of the book of Exodus right up to the closing verses of the book of Exodus many chapters later, the Torah seems to be consumed with the detail and description and the manner in which the Tabernacle was built.

And then begins the book of Leviticus, which is almost entirely focused on what goes on inside the Tabernacle and later the Holy Temple. In all, more than two hundred of the six hundred and thirteen Torah commandments have to do with the Holy Temple, its furnishings, its vessels, the Divine service and the kohanim whose sacred task it is to perform the Divine service. So it may be true that G-d doesn't have a "favorite" commandment, but something is definitely going on here. What is so important, so special about "make for Me a sanctuary, and I will dwell among [you]" that fully one third of the Torah is dedicated to making it a reality?

Just like any parent, G-d doesn't have a favorite son or daughter. He loves all of us equally. And just like any parent, G-d's greatest pleasure is in seeing all His children together with one another in His presence. So G-d describes in great loving detail just how His sanctuary will be laid out, what goes in the north and what goes in the south, what happens in the outer courtyards and what transpires in the Holy of Holies. How we will celebrate in the springtime and how we will celebrate in the autumn. In this manner we are all brought together before G-d in His house, the Holy Temple, loving brothers and sisters, united in our love and dedication to Him. And in His house we bask in the awesome nearness of His transcendent presence, and He is pleased in the most sublime and wondrous manner by our nearness to one another in His presence. We laugh, we cry, we confess and repent, we sing and rejoice, we bring gifts and offerings in this microcosm of the infinite, this portal where heaven and earth kiss and embrace, in this unique pace on earth, where G-d and man together make perfect His creation.

Little wonder then that the Holy Temple is so prominent a component of G-d's covenant with man. It is not a place of spiritual asceticism, nor is it a place of monastic meditation. It is home. It is G-d's home and that makes it our home. As G-d's children it is incumbent upon us to make every effort and overcome every obstacle that stands in the way. There is no place like home and the time has come to go home, home to G-d , in His Holy Temple, 1 Temple Mount, Jerusalem, Israel.

Tune in to this week's Temple Talk, as Rabbi Chaim Richman and Yitzchak Reuven confront the Ghost Month of Adar I: Double Your Pleasure, Double Your Fun!

As the month of Shevat draws to a close, we prepare to welcome the month of Adar, that especially auspicious, 'lucky' month. But this year there are two Adars! Are we twice as lucky? This year features the 'extra' month of Adar I, an usual phenomena of time on the Hebrew leap year calendar that's hard to pin down. In this week's edition of Temple Talk, Yitzchak Reuven and Rabbi Richman re-define this month as a special, Divinely-appointed opportunity to pack in some 'extra' fixing and refinement. Since refinement and re-definition is on our national agenda, what better time to begin reading the Torah portions that deal with the establishment of the Tabernacle and its vessels, the precursor of the Holy Temple and its service. This week we read the portion of Terumah, and from this point on, the Tabernacle/Temple will be the central theme of our Torah readings. But just how seriously do we regard the Torah's instructions to "Build for Me a Sanctuary, that I will Dwell Among You" (Ex. 25:8)? Our hosts refine and re-define, delving the depths of the meaning of this commandment in a special focus on the work of the Temple Institute in preparing for the resumption of the Divine service in our time.

-----

This week we read parashat Terumah, (Exodus 25:1-27:19), the 1st of the Torah readings focused on the building of the desert Tabernacle, (the prototype for the Holy Temple), and all the sacred vessels, in which appears the commandment, "And they shall make for Me a sanctuary, and I will dwell among them."
For nearly 3 decades, the Temple Institute of Jerusalem has led the way in preparing for the re-establishment of the Holy Temple on Mount Moriah. The Institute is dedicated to every aspect of this very commandment, “And they shall make for Me a sanctuary, and I will dwell among them.”
For the next few weeks we will be featuring beautiful photographs of the sacred vessels recreated by the Temple Institute, ready for use in the Holy Temple. Visit our Facebook page to see!

CLAIM: VATICAN HOARDING SECOND TEMPLE VESSELS

Rabbi claims that Pope Francis knows full well where Jewish religious objects are being kept, is hiding them to avoid legal consequences.

The Vatican - hiding Temple relics? (illustrative)

The Vatican is evading questions on whether or not it is holding religious artifacts from the Second Temple, Rabbi Yonatan Shtenzel told Arutz Sheva correspondents Wednesday, in what he calls "diplomatic evasion."

Talmudic sources, including passages from Rabbi Elazar and Rabbi Yossi, note that several of the holy vessels from the Second Temple ended up in the Vatican's hands, Rabbi Shtenzel said. Artifacts said to be transferred to the religious city-state via the Roman Emperor include the shulchan (Showbread table), the menorah (candelabra), several priestly garments, and others.

More than just an 1800 year-old report, there is recent evidence that the Vatican still has these vessels in its possession, he argued, citing the testimony of several 19th and twentieth century Rabbis.

Rabbi Shtenzel spoke at length about the personal experiences of Rabbi Israel Miller, a Satmar Hasid from Jerusalem who visited the Vatican and stated that he had seen several of the Temple vessels in person, and of former Religious Affairs Minister Professor Shimon Shitrit, who stated several years ago that Italian academics had contacted him about the vessels. The information later led to a diplomatic falling-out between the Religious Affairs Ministry and Pope John Paul II; yet the Vatican still remains quiet over the fate of the vessels.

Rabbi Shtenzel argues that the Israeli government is too passive in its handling of the issue of the vessels, choosing to smooth over relations instead of demanding answers on the objects which could spark the building of a Third Temple.

The Rabbi also turned to religious leaders, as well, noting that while meeting with the Pope - who, by traditional Jewish laws, represents an idolatrous sect - is problematic, the issue of the whereabouts of the Temple vessels is too urgent to overlook. He stated that if the Vatican continues to deny involvement with the Second Temple artifacts, Israel should turn to more meaningful channels to procure them.

Pope Francis knows full well where the vessels are, the Rabbi claimed, lamenting that "diplomatic evasion" is the status quo. The Vatican is concerned, according to Shtenzel, that they will be brought to the Hague over the issue and be forced to give the artifacts back to the Jewish people.

ISRAEL TO BUILD TEMPLE IN PLACE OF AL-AQSA, MINISTER SAYS

Tuesday, 04 November 2014 13:13

Ariel said building the Jewish temple is the paramount demand of the Torah as it is at the forefront of Jewish salvation

Just hours after the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he would not change the status quo in Al-Aqsa Mosque, a prominent minister in his government said that Israel would build a Jewish temple in place of the mosque.

Israeli Housing Minister Uri Ariel said that Israel cannot maintain the status quo in Al-Aqsa Mosque, which, he claims, "was built in the place of the holiest place for Israel".

Speaking to the Israeli Kol Berama radio station run by the Jewish extremist movement Shas, Ariel said building the Jewish temple is the paramount demand of the Torah as it is at the forefront of Jewish salvation.

He expressed hope that the upcoming elections would change the political reality so there would be a chance to take to build the third Jewish temple, stressing that the Israeli governments have to respect the views of the public, which support the idea of building the temple.

"
MAKE ME A SANCTUARY"

(Exodus 25:8)
Adar 1, 5775/February 20, 2015

In this week's parashat Terumah the nation of Israel receives the elegantly simple and straightforward commandment, "And they shall make Me a sanctuary and I will dwell in their midst." (Exodus 25:8) Midrash tells us that Moshe found in this commandment a metaphysical conundrum and protested before G-d : "You G-d are infinite and uncontainable. How could we mere mortals build for you a dwelling place?" Midrash continues to relate G-d's response, as it were: "Moshe, it is easy," following which He relates to Moshe the construction details that we read at the opening of chapter 26 in this week's Torah reading.

Moshe's incredulity, however, seems to resonate with the opening verses of parashat Terumah: "HaShem spoke to Moshe saying: 'Speak to the children of Israel, and have them take for Me an offering; from every person whose heart inspires him to generosity, you shall take My offering." (ibid 25:1-2) Only last week we read at the conclusion of parashat Mishpatim that the children of Israel affirmed their commitment to G-d's Torah for all time with these words: "All that HaShem spoke we will do and we will hear." (ibid 24:7) Having uttered this rock-solid commitment to G-d's commandments, why does the commandment to "make Me a sanctuary" require a preamble requiring a new commitment, "every person whose heart inspires him?"

On the one hand the commandment to build a Holy Temple is just one of six hundred and thirteen commandments contained in Torah. The urgency to build for G-d a Sanctuary is no less or more than the urgency to fulfill any of the other six hundred and twelve commandments. Voices who state otherwise, predicating the building of the Holy Temple on the prior fulfillment of the other Torah commandments have no basis for their claim. Yet Torah does require a commitment of inspired hearts, a commitment not enunciated concerning the other commandments.

The Torah's prerequisite "from every person whose heart inspires him to generosity" actually does come to distinguish this commandment from all others. If we understand the entire Torah as a set of directives instructing us how to create a society and a brotherhood of nations that will transform a hostile environment into one in which G-d's presence is welcome, then we can also perceive the stipulation "from every person whose heart inspires him to generosity" as G-d's official request for an invitation. As inviting and conducive an environment we can create by adhering to G-d's Torah, unless we actively express out desire for G-d to dwell among us, and act upon it, then G-d will be forever waiting on the other side of a closed door. Once we open our hearts and united, as one people and one nation, express our desire to G-d that He dwell among us here on earth, then G-d's answer to Moshe is right on target. Once we have opened our hearts and invited G-d into our world, then the rest is just details, "a few beams in the north and as few beams in the south..." as the Midrash concludes.

The metaphysical divide, as to whether an infinite, uncontainable and unapproachable G-d can exist within the confines of our finite world, exists only in our hearts. And this applies equally to any other obstacles we may perceive in the way of building for G-d a Sanctuary that He may dwell among us, whether they be geopolitical, or sociological, or financial, or technical, or any other configuration of stumbling block in our path. They exist, ultimately, only in our hearts. Conversely, G-d is waiting patiently, if anxiously, at our door. We need but open our hearts, and building for G-d a Sanctuary, a Holy Temple in Jerusalem, becomes a labor of love and a task easily fulfilled. May we allow our hearts to soar and embrace G-d's presence to dwell among us, here in our earthly neighborhood!

-----

Tune in to this week's Temple Talk, As Yitzchak Reuven rhapsodizes about this week's headline Torah commandment, "Make for Me a Sanctuary!" which is nothing more than G-d saying to Israel, "I'll Let You Be in My World if I Can Be in Yours!" It's all a matter of raising up our hearts for G-d's sake.

"And they shall make Me a sanctuary and I will dwell within them." G-d's commandment to Israel to build for Him a place to dwell in our world marks the beginning of the completion of creation. From this moment on the task of perfecting the world that G-s created for us, falls on our shoulders. In a world marred with hypocrisy and violence and disdain for the image of G-d in which we were created, building for G-d a Holy Temple in Jerusalem could just be a game changer.

With Rabbi Richman in the USA teaching Torah, it is up to Yitzchak Reuven to connect the dots and draw the lines which stretch all the way from from "In the beginning" to "take for Me an offering" to what is happening in the world today.and what we can do about it!

WANT WORLD PEACE? ‘BUILD 3rd TEMPLE’

Organization launches campaign to raise funds for draft plans of site, which, if built, it says, would ‘usher in universal harmony’

by Ben Sales

JTA — As Egypt, Qatar, the US and the UN write proposals for Israel-Hamas ceasefires, one organization based in Jerusalem’s Old City hopes to compose a peace plan of a different kind: a detailed architectural blueprint for the Third Jewish Temple on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount.

The Temple Institute, which has recreated 60 vessels to be used in a Third Temple and which sponsors educational programs about the temple worldwide, has created a $100,000 Indiegogo campaign to draft plans for a Third Temple.

Building the temple, says the Indiegogo campaign statement, would “usher in a new era of universal harmony and peace,” as prophesied in the Bible.

“It is not enough to wait and pray for the Third Temple,” the statement added. “It is a Biblical obligation to build it.”
According to Rabbi Chaim Richman, the institute’s international director, the temple would stand in the present location of the Dome of the Rock, a Muslim shrine. Muslims revere the mount as the Haram al-Sharif, or Noble Sanctuary.

But Richman did not set a target date for breaking ground for the construction project. The temple will be built, he told JTA, when “the world will want us to build the temple.” “The Jewish people have a responsibility to all of humanity, including Islam,” Richman said. “I don’t expect it to come about through any sort of confrontation or any sort of military maneuver. The Jews have to represent good in the world, light in the world.”

The Indiegogo campaign is tied to the upcoming fast of Tisha b’Av, which mourns the First and Second Temples’ destruction. Richman quoted the verse in Isaiah calling the temple “a house of prayer for all nations.”

But recently, the Temple Mount has been the scene of confrontation. Palestinian groups have repeatedly protested Jewish groups visiting the mount in recent weeks. Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told JTA that on Saturday, a group of Palestinian rioters burned and heavily damaged the police stand on the mount.

Referring to these incidents, Richman said the mount “is overrun by terrorists. This is a tangible fact.” He said rebuilding the temple is the next step to Israel’s current military operation in the Gaza Strip.

“We cannot be the people we’re supposed to be without the Holy Temple,” he said. “So what if we root out the [Gaza] tunnels and missiles? Then what are we doing with our lives? The redemption of humanity is dependent on the Jewish people.”

Launched on July 27, the campaign has so far raised $3,991. It will run until Rosh Hashana, on Sept. 25.

RAISE A RED HEIFER IN ISRAEL

Doesnt the calf have to be perfect? I dont think imported frozen embryos of American Red Angus is perfection in the eyes of God .

VIDEO : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHnjOiagh-g

After 2,000 years, with great thanks to the Almighty, we are pleased to announce:
The Temple Institute is raising red heifers in Israel. For the first time in 2000 years, the restoration of Biblical purity is within reach...the prerequisite for building the Holy Temple. Watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHnjOiagh-g to learn more about this historic project and to participate.

The future is in our hands!

Is this an other bullshit from the Zionist/Catholic? For years, we know that the red Heifer is only a corruption of the good seed of our Lord.

The genetically engineered red heifer born in 1996 created a great deal of tension in Jerusalem, for Muslim leaders were concerned that fundamentalist Jews and Christians might use the sign of the calf's arrival as a signal to take over the Temple Mount, which the Muslims have occupied since 1967. Muslims revere the Temple Mount as the place where Muhammad (c. 570–632) ascended into heaven; and in 685, followers of the Prophet began constructing the 35-acre site known as the Noble Sanctuary, which today includes the Dome of the Rock and the al Aqsa mosque.

Once again, traditional rabbinical scholars insist that the three-year waiting period be observed, which means in their religious belief, that if no hairs of any other color have appeared in the heifer, it is of divine origin and may be sacrificed to purify the Temple Mount and construction on the Third Temple may begin. As Rod Dreher writing in the National Review Online put it: "You don't have to believe that a rust-colored calf could bring about the end of the world…but there are many people who do, and are prepared to act on that belief." http://www.unexplainedstuff.com/Prophecy-and-Divination/Will-the-Red-Heifer… . Just an other way to make money from peoples by lying to all of us about the "purity" of these red Heifer. Deceivers and liars.

---

...This red heifer was born in the United States, and the owners of the red heifer contacted the Temple Institute in order to receive instructions about how to care for it.  It is hoped that this red heifer will eventually be transported to the land of Israel and be used for the purification of the priests and the vessels that will be used in a rebuilt Jewish Temple....

TISHA B'AV - DESTRUCTION OF THE TEMPLE

Tonight and tomorrow the Jewish people commemorate the destruction of the two Temples in Jerusalem.

Jews around the world are fasting tonight (Saturday) and tomorrow for Tisha B'Av, in honor of the two destroyed Temples
and other tragic events that have befallen the Jewish people.

For those in Israel, the fast will end tomorrow evening at 8:09 pm.

Tisha B'Av, the ninth day of the month of Av, has been host to calamities throughout history. The Babylonians destroyed Solomon's Temple
in 586 BCE, then the Romans destroyed the Second Temple in 66 CE. Sixty-nine years later, the Romans also stamped out the Bar Kochva revolt
and ended the final hope for Jewish self-rule until the 20th century.

Later, Jews were forced out of England, France, and Spain on the ninth of Av. Even in recent times the day has held some of the worst moments
for the Jewish people. On the ninth of Av in 1941, the Nazis approved their "Final Solution" to kill all the Jews they could. Exactly one year later,
on the ninth of Av 1942, the liquidation of the Warsaw ghetto began.

In memory of all these tragedies, the Tisha B'Av fast is considered the most serious and saddest fast day in the year. Just as on Yom Kippur,
five things are prohibited: eating and drinking, bathing, applying perfumes or oils, wearing leather shoes, and intimate relations.

During Tisha B'Av, all Jews are considered mourners for the Temple and are even instructed not to study Torah, with the exception of certain sad sections
that are connected to the day. These include the books of Lamentations and Job, parts of Jeremiah, and sections of the Talmud that discuss
the laws of mourning. Furthermore, it is forbidden to sit on normal-sized chairs until the afternoon.

Tonight Jews read the book of Lamentations and dirges from Jeremiah. Many also abstain from wearing tefillin in the morning,
only putting it on after the middle of the day.

Large numbers of people are expected to attend the Kotel tonight and tomorrow, as it is the most prominent surviving section of the Second Temple.

"ZIONISTS... WANT TO DESTROY THE AL-AQSA MOSQUE " - PALESTINIAN RESEARCHER ON PA TV

They have for father the devil, the father of lies. You just have to look to historic facts to see that these man are lying.

Today, on Tisha B'Av, Jews mourn the destruction of the first and second Temples in Jerusalem (586 BCE and 70 CE). However, the Palestinian Authority denies that there ever was a Temple, consistently referring to Solomon's Temple as "the alleged Temple." Moreover, the PA also teaches its people that there was never a Jewish history in Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Authority claims persistently that Israel is "Judaizing" Jerusalem, as Palestinian Media Watch has documented. Israel is said to:

- falsify historical artifacts in order to prove a "false" Jewish history in Jerusalem
- destroy Palestinian and Islamic relics and signs of an Arab presence in the city
- plot to take over and destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque in order to rebuild the "alleged Temple"
 in its stead

A PA TV host agreed with a researcher of political Islam who stated on PA TV that "the vision of the Zionists" is to "destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque" and "find the Temple." The researcher claimed Israel has not found "even one remnant" that proves the existence of the Temple

Official PA TV recently stated that Israeli excavations are "evil projects" to achieve an "evil goal": "full control over the Al-Aqsa Mosque" and "building of the alleged Temple in its place":

Temple Faithful Movement plans march to demand government 'remove enemies from Temple Mount and rebuild third Temple.'

On Tisha B'Av this Sunday, a fast day mourning the destruction of the First and Second Temple, Jewish activists plan to protest against the discrimination against Jews on the Temple Mount and the impunity given to Arab terror-supporters on the holy site, in a call to build the Third Temple.

The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement (also known as the Temple Faithful Movement) plans to march to the Temple Mount at 11 a.m. on Sunday, the Movement's head Gershon Salomon told Arutz Sheva on Thursday.

Salomon said the march is meant to mourn the "destruction of the Holy Third Temple by Israel's enemies" - in other words the prevention of the construction of the Third Temple, which is said to prelude the final redemption, due to the presence of hostile Muslim sources on the holy site.

Likewise the protest is meant to mourn how Hamas and Islamic State (ISIS) are allowed to go around "carrying their flags" on the Mount, the holiest site in Judaism.

During the event, Salomon intends to call on the Israeli government "to remove the enemies from the Holy Temple Mount, to return the Holy Temple Mount to Israel and to immediately rebuild the Holy Third Temple."

The Jordanian Waqf retains de facto control of the Mount even since its liberation in the 1967 Six Day War, and it has forbidden Jews from praying at the site despite Israeli law ensuring freedom of worship.

Arabs at the Temple Mount have repeatedly desecrated the holy site by among other things playing soccer games; in one warped case last December, police arrested a Jew who requested a soccer game be stopped at the site - despite the fact that in September 2013 promises were made to enforce the law  passed by the High Court years ago banning the soccer games on the holy site.

Likewise Arabs have tried to erase the Jewish nature of the site, where the First and Second Temples stood, by destroying ancient Jewish artifacts and building illegally.
