Saturday, July 27, 2013

Just days ago Egyptian General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi called for demonstrations on Friday to give the military a mandate to confront "violence and potential terrorism". General Sisi said he was not calling for public unrest and wanted national reconciliation.

What exactly happens when you call for demonstrations in the streets among escalated tensions no less? Calamity. Those people amassed into crowds in record numbers reports the AP,

tr_bq a écrit:

"The largest crowds in 2 1/2 years of upheaval filled Egypt's streets Friday, while ousted President Mohammed was formally placed under investigation on a host of allegations including murder and conspiracy with the Palestinian militant group Hamas. Morsi's supporters also showed no signs of backing down, though they turned out in vastly smaller numbers."

Those demonstrations turned violent as RT reports,

tr_bq a écrit:

(RT) - Clashes have left at least 92 people dead and hundreds injured in Cairo after security forces attacked supporters of ousted President Morsi, says Egypt's Health Ministry. However, the Muslim Brotherhood puts the death toll at over 200 with 1,000 injured.

The casualties were taking part in a pro-Morsi rally when they were attacked by members of the security forces, the Brotherhood alleges. They used tear gas to disperse the activists, the Egyptian Interior Ministry has confirmed.

"They are not shooting to wound, they are shooting to kill," Muslim Brotherhood spokesman Gehad El-Haddad said to Reuters, adding that demonstrators had been hit by gunshot in the head and chest.

During Friday night massive rallies were held in the Egyptian capital by Morsi supporters and his opponents.
Egypt’s military has urged Brotherhood supporters to get behind their new plans for new elections.

On Saturday morning Interior Minister Mohammed Ibrahim stated that pro-Morsi protesters who had organized a sit-in at Rabaa al-Adawiya mosque in Cairo would be "brought to an end soon and in a legal manner.”

The fresh violence follows the detention of ousted President Morsi over suspected links with Hamas. Morsi has been detained for 15 days and will be subjected to questioning over suspicions Hamas helped orchestrate his escape from prison in 2011 during the uprisings that ousted his predecessor President Hosni Mubarak.

The Muslim Brotherhood called the allegations “ridiculous” and said Morsi’s detention marked a return to Mubarak’s repressive regime.

Since President Morsi was removed from office by the military on July 3, dozens of people have died in mass protests. In some of the worst violence since the unrest began in Egypt, 50 Morsi supporters were gunned down at a Cairo barracks on July 8 by security forces. - RT: At least 29 dead and 649 injured in Egypt clashes - Health Ministry

One can only come to the obvious conclusion, those truly running Egypt want the calamity to continue. This chapter is not yet closed in the history books.

MessagePosté le: Mar 30 Juil - 09:45 (2013)    Sujet du message: ANTI-PROTEST LAW PASSES NEARLY UNANIMOUSLY AND IS SIGNED BY THE PRESIDENT Répondre en citant

Posted: 03/14/2012 10:49 am

So I have some great news folks! The Republicans and the Democrats in Congress and the White House FINALLY came together and agreed on something. This is HUGE. These guys disagree on EVERYTHING! Getting them to see eye-to-eye is like getting the Jews and the Palestinians to do a trust fall together. Or getting Eskimos and polar bears to play Jenga.

I'm referring to the bill H.R. 347 that was signed by President Obama the other day, passed unanimously in the Senate, and 388-3 in the House. That's nearly EVERY SINGLE lawmaker. The last time they agreed that closely on something, it was a bill raising monthly Congressional pay to include a box of Ding Dongs, two erotic cakes featuring Bonanza star Pernell Roberts, and a gentle yet inquisitive prostate exam every Tuesday.

What did this magical universally-loved bill say? Well some are calling it the anti-Occupy law and it allows the government to bring charges against Americans involved in many kinds of political protest at any location the secret service, quote, "is or will be temporarily visiting." So basically if the government wants to shut down a protest, they just send a secret service officer down there to scratch his balls, and then they can start putting people in jail for a year or more.

This is all lovely except for that bitchy bothersome document, the Constitution. I believe somewhere in the back it says, "Congress shall make no law . . . abridging the freedom of speech . . . or the right of the people peaceably to assemble." Aw shit! That musta sucked when Congress found that out! To get that close to passing it and then shot down? It musta been like getting hired to rub baby oil on the contestants of Miss Universe before the bathing suit portion of the competition and then losing your hands in a freak exploding cell phone accident! So when Congress heard about that first amendment they musta been like, "God damnit! That really f**ks up all our plans. That f**king line in the Constitution says not to do EXACTLY what we just did." That's what they must've said, right? ... They didn't just pass it anyway ... Right?

But the bill doesn't stop there. I mean, when you have the entirety of Congress with the exception of Ron Paul agreeing on something, why not swing for the fences? The bill also says it could be a federal crime to protest near an event of, quote, "national significance." Well, that's not vague at all. So you could be convicted of a federal crime and locked away for a year or more for the following things:

1) Marching outside the Democratic or Republican National Conventions

2) Yelling "C**k-face corporate whore" outside a barber shop where Mitt Romney is getting his ear hair trimmed.

3) Marching in front of the entrance of the New York Stock Exchange

4) Sprinkling magic homosexual glitter on Rick Santorum, or even anyone near Rick Santorum, or even just making fun of his stupid sweater vest!

5) Going to the gates of the White House and demanding the President read the Constitution. ...You know, if he gets a chance.

Well, Congress gets to stomp on the Bill of Rights, I want to do it too. I want to bring back cruel and unusual punishment, and then we could demand that every man or woman who voted for the Anti-Protest Law or signed it from the Oval Office be tied up in the town square naked for a week while everyone gets to throw fire ants and bumble bees at their naughty parts. Deal??

MessagePosté le: Mar 30 Juil - 09:54 (2013)    Sujet du message: HR 347 'TRESSPASS BILL' CRIMINALIZES PROTEST Répondre en citant

Posted: 03/12/2012 8:04 pm

As I write this op-ed, I primp for the mirror -- looking for the most flattering pose -- for my mug shot. Now, don't get the wrong impression; I haven't been arrested and charged with a federal felony -- yet. Nor is the preparation done in anticipation of a guest stint on "America's Next Top Model" -- but as a common sense reaction to Obama's predictable signing of the latest assault on the Bill of Rights -- namely -- H.R. 347 (and it's companion senate bill S. 1794); aka the "Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011." Sounding more like an appropriations bill authorizing monies for federal grounds landscaping -- this bill, better known to those in the DC beltway as the 'TRESPASS BILL' -- potentially makes peaceable protest anywhere in the U.S. a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

The legislators responsible for bringing this legislative excrement to life are Representative Tom Rooney (R-Fla.) in the House of Representatives and Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT.) leading the Senate version.

H. R. 347 makes protest of any type potentially a federal offense with anywhere from a year to 10 years in federal prison, providing it occurs in the presence of elites brandishing Secret Service protection, or during an officially defined 'National Special Security Event' (NSSE). NSSEs , ( an invention of Bill Clinton) are events which have been deemed worthy of Secret Service protection, which previously received no such treatment. Justified through part of 'Presidential Decision Directive 62 in 1998; Bill Clinton created an additional class of special events explicitly under the authority of the U.S. Secret Service.

Past NSSE events included the funerals of Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan, and the national security concern that was Superbowl XXXVI. Other NSSE protected events include the Academy Awards and the 2008 Democratic and Republican National Conventions. I suppose presidential candidates, no matter how insane they may be are deserving as much security protection as Brad and Angelina's sex life. The dangerous part of this 'executive order' lies not in the triviality of a SuperBowl receiving taxpayer funded Secret Service protection -- but in the convenience manufactured for any President desperate to hide deliberations of groups like the G-8, the G-20 and the World Trade Organization. The classification of such events as NSSE -- insures the rich and powerful against any pesky accountability or transparency to the unwashed minions -- namely the US public. HR 347 & S. 1794 insulates such events as the G-8, WTO and presidential conventions against tough questions and politically justified protests.

The House vote tally which took place 02/28/12, was 338 for and 3 against. The three dissenters were Rep.Paul Broun R-Georgia, Rep. Justin Amash R-Michigan and Rep. Keith Ellison D-Minnesota. Rep. Ron Paul was reported earlier as having voted against the bill, but that was based on the original vote conducted 02/28/11. Rep. Ron Paul ABSTAINED on the final vote.

Rep. Amash explains:

... Current law makes it illegal to enter or remain in an area where certain government officials (more particularly, those with Secret Service protection) will be visiting temporarily if and only if the person knows it's illegal to enter the restricted area but does so anyway. The bill expands current law to make it a crime to enter or remain in an area where an official is visiting even if the person does not know it's illegal to be in that area and has no reason to suspect its illegal. (It expands the law by changing "willfully and knowingly" to just "knowingly" with respect to the mental state required to be charged with a crime.

Amash is correct in noting that the omission of the word "willfully" represents an unfair burden to the citizen. In legalese, this omission creates a situation where anyone can be charged with a federal felony for 'trespassing' on grounds shared by a person or group receiving Secret Service protection (including NSSE's); EVEN IF THE 'TRESPASSER' HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF SUCH PROTECTED PERSONS BEING PRESENT. In theory, anyplace where there is a protest could also be the setting for mass felony charges against constitutionally protected behavior such as the right to protest.

So, Amash as one of the three dissenters has no problem with criminalizing protest on the 'royal' grounds of the Congress or the White House, or even a hotel hosting a fundraiser where legislative aristocracy are protected by the Secret Service -- his objection lies with the average tourist unwittingly stumbling onto 'hallowed' ground occupied by legally anointed royalty from our government.
This bill can be found in pdf form here.

Rooney's defense ...

Rooney's communication director, Michael Mahaffey dismissed any concerns about civil liberties violations caused by H.R. 347 as..."a whole lot of kerfuffle over nothing. This (HR 347) doesn't affect anyone's right to protest anywhere at any time. Ever."

Mahaffey further added that this bill is nothing more than a benign 'DC-centric update' of Section 1752 of title 18, United States Code, designed to safeguard persons under Secret Service protection. Blandly attributing HR 347 as an extension of that protection to the DC area (where such protections fall under the scope of local trespassing ordinances) -- Mahaffey explained that "... right now it's not a federal violation to jump the fence and run across the White House lawn, this bill makes it a federal violation."

Mahaffey further claimed that this change was requested by the Secret Service itself.

To his credit Mahaffey did answer my inquiry with a carefully worded email, explaining further that this bill only offers consistent protection for those requiring Secret Service details such as the President, Vice-President. (Source: http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-112hr347enr/pdf/BILLS-112hr347enr.pdf) Neither Rooney or Mahaffey actually answered my question regarding legal precedent, legal case citations, and associated theories. We are merely supposed to take their word for it.

The problem with Rep. Rooney's response via Michael Mahaffey lies in the very nature of protest. Mahaffey claims that this bill does not trample the constitutionally protected right to protest -- yet the bill itself criminalizes 'disruptive conduct' in such vague terms that a 7th grader disrupting visiting dignitaries receiving Secret Service protection, over any issue -- (no matter how trivial), such as school uniforms -- would be potentially guilty of a federal felony. What Rooney, and so many government elites cynically ignore is the very nature of protest. Protest in its very nature, is intended to disrupt government business as usual, for without such disruption the protest would be as effective as a leaky condom.

Both Amash and Rooney refuse to recognize the constitutionally messy, disruptive right to protest, to petition a government for redress of grievances. Meanwhile, this Congress and this President have established themselves as self-appointed aristocrats and monarchs, with this bill representing a legislative Maginot Line separating Congress, the President and the corporations who appear to own them -- from the rest of us rabble. Amash's offering is tantamount to an obese glutton offering crumbs to the starving -- symbolically empty and useless.

No response has been received by the Senate sponsor of HR 347's companion bill Senate Bill 1794, Senator Blumenthal. In fact, this bill was passed in the Senate by 'unanimous consent,' which is significant in terms of senatorial accountability and transparency. To quote www.govtrack.us:

"... This bill passed in the Senate by unanimous consent. A record of each senator's position was not kept." How very convenient for each senator that their position was never recorded -- anywhere. No accountability and certainly no transparency. Here is the link to the House vote record.

You can contact any member of the U.S. Senate regarding their vote and the lack of transparency on such an important issue.

Though a majority of Senate business is dispensed with using 'unanimous consent' -- it is inherently troubling that our Senators view the dismissal of our basic right to 'peaceably assembly' as inconsequential.

In this age of ever increasing police militarization and shrinking civil liberties both here at home and worldwide; the U.S. government under President Obama has morphed into a third Bush term. No longer content to stonewall the public with empty slogans issuing from 'empty suits' -- the political class has degraded to writing obviously illegitimate 'laws' in a desperate attempt to crush any dissent.

As this bill made its way through the illustrious halls of Congress -- no open discussion was entertained for an entire year. Not a single member of Congress spoke out against this obscenity. Not a single member of Congress alerted the press. Not a single member of Congress contacted legal advocacy groups such as the ACLU, Bill of Rights Defense Committee or the National Lawyer's Guild. The silence deafening -- if not conspiratorial.

Just this past year the President who campaigned on 'hope' and 'change'--announced some galling changes -- with Congress (for the most part) rubber stamping each and every death blow to the Bill of Rights. President Obama has claimed the right to declare anyone a 'terrorist' or 'terrorist sympathizer' based on nothing more than presidential opinion, and order their assassination. No evidence is required -- at least that the public can see. We are told to blissfully 'trust' our public officials even when they are unworthy of such trust. Now our right to protest, to be disruptive -- has been criminalized as a federal felony.

Perhaps Congress and the President will find their inner patriot and reverse this rape of our rights. It could happen. By the way -- can anyone pass the Prozac?

MessagePosté le: Dim 4 Aoû - 15:15 (2013)    Sujet du message: UNEXPLAINED, CONFLICTING US GLOBAL TERROR WARNINGS NOZ EXTEND TO AMERICAN HOMELAND Répondre en citant

DEBKAfile Exclusive Analysis August 4, 2013, 10:39 AM (IDT)

AQIM fighters in Yemen

Saturday night Aug. 3, the global warnings issued last week by the US State Department and Interpol against terrorist attacks covering almost the entire Muslim world, suddenly reached the American homeland. Sunday morning, Aug. 4, as US missions closed in 22 countries, including Egypt and Israel, the New York Police Department went on high alert.

Security was beefed up in high-profile areas outside houses of worship and transportation hubs, although Police Commissioner Ray Kelly complained that “a lack of specific information was cause for concern.”

Friday, Aug. 2 the State Department issued a worldwide travel alert warning to Americans overseas of potential al Qaeda attacks in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia.

Saturday night, National Security Adviser Susan Rice convened security officials on the situation. The White House stated: “Given the nature of the potential threat through the week, Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and counter-terrorism Lisa Monaco has held regular meetings with relevant members of the inter-agency to ensure the US government is taking those appropriate steps.”

Nothing in this statement specified the nature of the “potential threat.”

Sunday, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey told the ABC that the threat was "more specific than previous ones" and “the intent is to attack Western, not just US interests.” He reported that the diplomatic facilities closed “range from Mauritania in northwest Africa to Afghanistan.”

Western and Middle East terrorism and intelligence experts say that in additional to the lack of information, at least six elements don’t add up in the various global warnings released since Thursday Aug. 1:

1. Thursday, US President Barack Obama ordered that "all appropriate steps" be taken to protect Americans in response to a threat of an al-Qaeda attack. What does this mean? The experts comment that even if all US agencies were pressed into service worldwide, there is no way they could protect all Americans in the vast area marked out in the warnings.
2.  If the threat is specific why does the warning extend to so many countries? Al Qaeda is not even active in all them. If the danger is so immediate, why haven’t any governments in North Africa and as far east as Bangladesh declared their own terror alerts?

3.  US officials reported that some of the intelligence came from terrorist communications intercepted by the National Security Agency over the past days. This too raises questions, considering that al Qaeda leaders are wont to avoid electronic media and satellite phones for their communications on operations, preferring couriers who are not susceptible to electronic interception or eavesdropping. The Internet serves them for propaganda and planting red herrings.
4.  In the past week, US drones conducted three attacks against al Qaeda targets in Yemen, where the organization is defined by US officials as al Qaeda’s most dangerous affiliate and capable of attacking the US embassy in Sanaa.

The last drone attack Aug. 1 killed five low-profile al Qaeda operatives, who were driving in a vehicle in the Qatan Valley of Hadramouth province (Osama bin Laden’s place of birth).
All 12 US drone attacks in Yemen of the last eight months targeted Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP). Although its deputy chief Said al Shiri, a former inmate of the Guantanamo Bay facility, was eliminated, AQAP’s entire high command has remained intact and fully functional. In other words, US intelligence counter-terror agencies have not discovered their whereabouts.
5.  Neither have they run down the location of al Qaeda’s top leader Ayman al-Zawahiri. Tuesday, he released a communiqué accusing US agents of engineering the coup which deposed the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood president by penetrating the Egyptian army. He called for more attacks on America.
6.  Saturday, the international police agency, Interpol, published a global security alert following "the escape of hundreds of terrorists and other criminals" in the past month, including jailbreaks in Iraq, Libya and Pakistan. Interpol feared that the escapees would team up with al Qaeda to hit Western targets. Yet none of its 190 member states have declared terror alerts on this score either.
7. Finally, the sweeping warnnings from the Obama administration dramatically refute its own oft-heard claims that al Qaeda is no longer a force to be reckoned with, because it has lost its compact central command and control of its component branches, which have split up into regional franchises operating autonomously. Al Qaeda, they have been saying, is no longer capable of large-scale terrorist attacks on a global scale.

Syrian troops killed at least 62 rebels in an ambush Wednesday near Damascus, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said, AFP sources confirmed.

The Syrian military said those killed were members of the jihadist Al-Nusra Front.

"At least 62 rebels fell as martyrs, most of them youths, and eight others are missing after an ambush by regime forces at dawn near the industrial city of Adra," northeast of the capital, the monitoring group said.

A Syrian military source quoted by state news agency Sana said the "army carried out an ambush on a group of terrorists belonging to the Al-Nusra Front that was trying to infiltrate Eastern Ghuta and attack a military post."

"All the terrorists were killed and their arms captured," the source added, without giving a toll.

Adra, 35 kilometres (22 miles) from Damascus, is the gateway to Eastern Ghuta, a farming region where a large number of rebels are located.

On July 21, 49 rebels were killed in fighting with loyalist forces in Adra, the Britain-based Observatory said.

World War II hero Tasered, shot in stomach

A 95-year-old man who served his country during World War II is now dead after police stormed his retirement home with riot shields, Tasered him and shot him with bean bag rounds – all because he adamantly refused to undergo high-risk surgery.

U.S. Army Air Corps veteran John Wrana, who was honorably discharged as a sergeant after he served in the India-Burma campaign, used a walker because family members said he was “wobbly” on his feet, according to the Chicago Tribune. The elderly veteran was shot down by enemy fire during the war.

On July 26, a doctor reportedly told Wrana if he survived surgery, he would likely be put on life support. The elderly man refused the operation, and paramedics attempted to involuntarily transport him for medical treatment. He was sitting in a chair, holding a cane and a shoe horn when police arrived at the Victory Centre senior living facility located just south of Chicago.

The Cook County medical examiner reported that Wrana bled to death internally from injuries caused when the elderly man was shot in the stomach with a 12-gauge shotgun that fired a bag filled with lead shot. The death has been ruled a homicide, according to reports.

“The Japanese military couldn’t get him at the age he was touchable, in a uniform in the war,” Wrana family attorney Nicholas Grapsas told the Tribune. “It took 70 years later for the Park Forest police to do the job.”

Grapsas said he was told “there were between five and seven police officers” at the scene.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported that the Illinois State Police Public Integrity Unit is investigating the incident. According to the Park Forest police account, Grapsas had threatened officers with a two-foot-long metal shoe horn and cane.

“Attempts were made verbally to have the resident comply with demands to drop the articles, to no avail,” the police statement said. “The resident then armed himself with a 12-inch butcher type kitchen knife.”

But Grapsas told the Tribune the staff and Wrana’s family said they never saw a butcher knife in his room.

“So where did the knife come from?” the attorney asked.

Maria Oliva, an executive with Pathway Senior Living, said staff members were kept outside of the room when police were present.

“The staff was not inside once the police were on the scene,” she said. “At different times the staff were in there, but not when they were called. They (the police) were in charge at that point.”

While police said Wrana had made threats against the staff, Grapsas said staff members urged police to let them calm the elderly man.

“If there were threats to the staff, why did the staff want to intervene and say, ‘Let us handle this; we’ll get him calmed down’?” he asked.

Now Wrana’s family is desperate for an explanation.

“I want answers,” his 74-year-old step-daughter said. “I want someone held accountable.”

Texas and California Brace for al-Qaeda Attack

Law enforcement agencies in Texas have received a special threat advisory based on information provided by the Department of Homeland Security indicating Austin, Texas, has been singled out for a terrorist attack on Friday, August 9.  Pasadena, California, is also mentioned in the advisory.

The document was provided to Infowars.com by sources in the Texas State Police Department on Thursday evening as reads as follows: “According to anonymous reporting, a group of trained terrorists are planning to conduct attacks in Austin, Texas and Pasadena, California at the conclusion of the Ramadan period.” The document is marked for official and law enforcement use.

The advisory claims unspecified terrorists or a terrorist group will duplicate the Boston bombing by using backpack explosives. The target is said to be 6tth Street in Austin, a popular tourist attraction that is crowded on weekends.

“Additionally, the group plans to attack a school and theological seminary in the downtown Austin area and complete the attack with operations at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.”

As reported by Infowars.com on Thursday, multi-agency “homeland security” drills will be conducted in the Austin area over the next few weeks. Agencies involved in the joint operation include the FBI, the Austin Police Department, the Travis County Sheriff’s Office, and the University Of Texas Police Department.

“The public should not be alarmed if they observe unordinary law enforcement or first responder activity over the next few weeks in the Austin area,” said DPS Director Steven McCraw, who is also the Texas Homeland Security Director.  Drills and exercises have served as cover for real or perceived to be real attacks on numerous occasions.

On April 15, the day of the Boston bombing, a drill was in progress during the Boston Marathon. In June, the Boston Globe published a report verifying “Operation Urban Shield,” a drill designed to train dozens of detectives in the Greater Boston area to work together to prevent a terrorist threat. “The real thing happened before we were able to execute,” a law enforcement official told the newspaper.

The threat assessment will undoubtedly result in stepped up police presence in Austin, including the likelihood of police checkpoints and other increased police state activity.

The Austin warning arrives as homeland security officialdom and the FBI keep up the hype following the reported elimination of an al-Qaeda group in Yemen that was allegedly planning attacks in the United States or against Western interests in the Middle East.

Officials warn citizens to be on the outlook for the now standard array of terror indicators, including: attempts to gain sensitive information about security measures of personnel, entry points, peak days, access controls, alarms or locks; unusual interest in speaking with building maintenance personnel; and discreet use of cameras or video recorders sketching, or note-taking, especially at building barriers, restricted areas, cameras and intrusion detection systems, according to WLS-TV.

As usual, the Feds state “there are no specific known plots against American targets.”

Despite the lack of a credible threat, Homeland Security and the police state apparatus now well entrenched in a highly militarized American law enforcement infrastructure are determined to keep the illusory al-Qaeda threat alive, especially following the Snowden revelations and renewed focus on the NSA and its pervasive surveillance grid.

Anonymous reporting indicates that a group of trained terrorists are planning to conduct these attacks in Austin, Texas as well as Pasadena, California at the conclusion of the Ramadan period.  If August 8-9 is not viable for an attack, the terrorists will carry out their operation on August 29, according to the alert.

MessagePosté le: Jeu 15 Aoû - 15:57 (2013)    Sujet du message: GERMANY—PREPARING FOR WORLWIDE WAR Répondre en citant

August 14, 2013  •  From theTrumpet.com

In a reflection of German elites’ imperialist vision, a new command structure emerges in preparation for ‘worldwide war operations.’

A recent release from German-Foreign-Policy.com reveals the following: “The German Army has set in operation a new command structure for worldwide war operations. The ‘Multinational Commando Operative Command,’ based in Baden Württemberg’s Ulm, shall guide the organization of the EU Battlegroups. According to their own statement they are prepared for ‘every imaginable mission’ in an intervention area of up to 6,000 kilometers distance—including the use of ‘highly intensive’ force” (August 8; translation ours).

That should send shivers up the spine of old diehards who remember the last time that Germany prepared for the use of “highly-intensive force” in “worldwide war operations.”
The German-Foreign-Policy.com release continues, “The Battlegroups are being trained regularly within the framework of special forces maneuvers. Their agenda includes support of parties involved in civil war .…

To the generations blinded to the historic reality of past German aspirations for imperial power by half a century of miseducation and revisionist history, such a startling revelation of this latest Bundeswehr restructuring will mean nothing. To students of Bible prophecy it has most profound meaning.

You need to read our booklet Nahum—An End-Time Prophecy for Germany to fully understand the impact of this latest imperialist move by German elites. It is a good primer for further study of this subject using our booklet Germany and the Holy Roman Empire.

We will provide more detail on the significance of the Bundeswehr’s new command structure as further details come to light.

In the meantime, as the September German federal elections approach, we continue to declare, “watch Germany!” That nation is prophesied to soon have powerful effect on this planet through just one more third and final effort at gaining global power by “worldwide war operations.” The German-Foreign-Policy.com report indicates the recent restructure of the Bundeswehr brings that prospect one more significant step closer! ▪

Egypt in crisis
Egypt has declared a month-long state of emergency after scores of people were killed when security forces stormed two protest camps in Cairo.

Thousands of supporters of deposed President Mohammed Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood had staged the sit-ins.

Police have arrested key Brotherhood members and taken control of the camps. The government says 149 people were killed in the operation.

The US condemned the emergency law and appealed for calm.

The Muslim Brotherhood says more than 2,000 people died in Wednesday's violence.

Emergency law in Egypt
  • Curfew in Cairo and other provinces from 19:00 local time (17:00 GMT) to 06:00 local time daily
  • Arrest of suspects deemed dangerous to public order
  • Army to help police maintain security
  • Limited movement of people and traffic
  • Surveillance on messages and monitoring of media
The state of emergency is scheduled to last for a month, and imposes a curfew in Cairo and several other provinces between 19:00 local time (17:00 GMT) and 06:00.

The measure was taken because the "security and order of the nation face danger due to deliberate sabotage, and attacks on public and private buildings and the loss of life by extremist groups," the presidency said in a statement.

Vice-President Mohammed ElBaradei has announced his resignation from the interim government in the wake of the violence.

"I cannot continue in shouldering the responsibility for decisions I do not agree with and I fear their consequences. I cannot shoulder the responsibility for a single drop of blood," he said in a statement.

At the scene

James Reynolds BBC News, Cairo

Shortly before seven in the morning, from a street corner near the Rabaa mosque encampment, I watched the raid begin.

An armoured military bulldozer drove down towards the barricades on the edges of the encampment. The bulldozer pushed its way through rows of bricks and sandbags. Pro-Morsi protesters responded by throwing stones and burning tyres.

At the same time, riot police in armoured personnel carriers advanced through nearby streets. For more than two hours I heard the crack of live ammunition. The sharp bangs were accompanied by the deeper thud of tear gas explosions.

For a while, it was hard to breathe without a gas mask. Some local residents held handkerchiefs to their faces - and watched the police deployment from their balconies.
Armoured bulldozers moved into the two protest camps shortly after dawn on Wednesday morning.

Large plumes of smoke rose over parts of the city as the operation began. Security forces fired tear gas canisters as helicopters circled above.

The smaller camp in Nahda Square was cleared relatively quickly, but clashes raged for most of the day around the main camp near Cairo's Rabaa al-Adawiya mosque.

Egyptian television said that by evening the security forces had finally seized full control of the site, and were allowing surviving protesters to leave.

But several Muslim Brotherhood leaders were reportedly detained, including Essam El-Erian and Mohamed El-Beltagy, whose 17-year-old daughter was apparently killed.

Most of the dead are thought to be Morsi supporters, but members of the security forces were also killed.

A cameraman working for Sky News, Mick Deane, was also killed, as was a reporter for Gulf News, Habiba Ahmed Abd Elaziz. She was not working at the time.

“Start Quote

Police snipers are above the nearby school buildings, shooting any resident hurrying to the square”

There are also reports of unrest elsewhere in Egypt.
  • About 35 people have died in clashes in the province of Fayoum, south of Cairo, Reuters news agency says.
  • At least five people have been killed in the province of Suez, according to the health ministry.
  • Clashes have also been reported in the northern provinces of Alexandria and Beheira, and the central provinces of Assiut and Menya.
  • State news agency Mena says three churches have been attacked, one in the city of Sohag which has a large number of Coptic Christian residents.

MessagePosté le: Jeu 22 Aoû - 03:06 (2013)    Sujet du message: MANNING SENTENCED - THE PRICE OF EXPOSING TYRANNY - 35 YEARS / BRADLEY MANNING CONDAMNE A 35 ANS DE PRISON Répondre en citant

VIDEO : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AksALukzzPY

Love it.

(CNSNews.com) – The White House said Monday that it is not disappointed that some members of the 1972 Miami Dolphins have decided not to attend a White House ceremony Tuesday that honors them 41 years after they won the Super Bowl.

“No. People are certainly allowed to make whatever decision they’d like to make on that,” White House principal deputy press secretary Josh Earnest said when asked whether the White House was disappointed that several members of the team won’t appear with President Barack Obama because of political differences.

Hall of Famer Jim Langer told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, “We’ve got some real moral compass issues in Washington.”

“I don’t want to be in a room with those people and pretend I’m having a good time. I can’t do that. If that [angers] people, so be it,” Langer said.
Manny Fernandez told the paper, “I’ll just say my views are diametrically opposed to the President’s.

“Enough said. Let’s leave it at that. I hope everyone enjoys the trip who goes,” Fernandez added.

Bob Kuechenberg, a former offensive lineman for the Dolphins, said, “I want to be careful, because mom said if you have nothing good to say about someone, then don’t say anything.”

“I don’t have anything good to say about someone,” Kuechenberg said. “I just don’t believe in this administration at all. So I don’t belong. Anyone on the left or the right has to respect one man’s opinion.”

“I don’t belong there, I’ll tell you that,” Kuechenberg added. “Without being critical, I can just tell you I don’t belong. It would be hypocritical of me to be there. I don’t want to do that. I just don’t believe in this administration at all. So I don’t belong. Anyone on the left or the right has to respect one man’s opinion.”

Pure hypocrisie de ce gouvernement satanique

Le Conseil de sécurité. Photo : ONU

Four rockets fired from Lebanon toward Israel; Iron Dome shot down one of them.

"We are operating on all fronts, in the north and south, in order to protect the citizens of Israel from these attacks,” Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Thursday in the aftermath of a Katyusha rocket salvo fired at northwestern Israel.

"We are using a variety of measures – of both defense and prevention – and we are operating in a responsible manner. Our policy is clear: to protect and also to prevent.

"Anyone who hurts us, and anyone who tries to hurt us, must know that we will hit him.”

Four rockets were fired from Lebanon Thursday afternoon, with at least one confirmed as having struck in the area of Nahariya.

Several residents have been treated for shock.

IDF Radio reported that bomb shelters in the northern city of Akko (Acre) have been opened for public use, and the IDF is urging residents of the north to remain close to shelters.

The IDF has denied earlier reports from Arabic media that it responded to the rockets with artillery fire.

Lebanese media has been reporting that at least 2 of the rockets were fired from the Ras al-Ain neighborhood of the city of Tyre.

The IDF spokesperson's unit has said it believes the rockets were fired by "global jihad" terrorists - another term for Al Qaeda-linked or inspired Sunni terroristsת as opposed to the Shia Hezbollah terrorist group.

One rocket was intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system, between Akko and Nahariya, the IDF said. Three others struck in "open areas."

Earlier this month, four IDF soldiers suffered light to moderate injuries on the Israel-Lebanon border, when a bomb was set off as they passed.

That attack was later claimed by Hezbollah.

This would not be the first time Sunni Islamist groups affiliated with the "global jihad" or Al Qaeda ideology have fired rockets from Lebanon into Israel.

Arieh Herzog, a former director of the Israeli defense ministry's Missile Defense Administration, warned "this kind of attack could provide (provoke) very serious action from our side."

He stressed, however, that missile defence capabilities were "much better" than they had been during Israel's 2006 war in Lebanon against Iranian proxy Hezbollah.

"We don't have enough (Iron Dome) batteries... to cover each and every city in Israel," he told reporters.

"But there's been a big change since the second Lebanon war. At that time, many rockets fell on the northern part of Israel. Our defences are much better today than in the past."

The world has looked on in horror as graphic images emerged showing the aftermath of a dawn poison gas attack in the suburbs of Damascus that wiped out 1,300 people as they lay sleeping in their beds.

Syrian activists accuse President Bashar al-Assad's forces of launching the nerve gas attack in what would be by far the worst reported use of poison gas in the two-year-old civil war.

Activists said rockets with chemical agents hit the Damascus suburbs of Ain Tarma, Zamalka and Jobar before dawn.

While these pictures of dead children are graphic, disturbing and undoubtedly the worst so far to have emerged from the conflict, MailOnline has made the decision to publish them in order to raise awareness of the plight of innocent people in a war that shows no sign of ending.

The military options being revised at the Pentagon range from possible strikes on Syrian military "delivery capabilities and systems" to command-and-control facilities and artillery

batteries, officials said.

‘US pushing world towards destruction’

In response to recent allegations of chemical attacks in Syria, the Pentagon has begun refining its military options for possible strikes in the Middle Eastern country, US officials said.

Officers at the Pentagon said they were updating target lists for potential airstrikes on a number of government and military installations in Syria, should President Barack Obama give the green-light to a military assault, officials said Thursday, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The military options being revised at the Pentagon range from possible strikes on Syrian military "delivery capabilities and systems" to command-and-control facilities and artillery batteries, officials said.

US officials, however, said the purpose of the military options would not be "regime change" but to "punish" President Bashar al-Assad if there was conclusive evidence that his government was behind the alleged chemical attacks.

Syria's foreign-backed opposition claimed on Wednesday that around 1,300 people were killed in a government chemical attack on militant strongholds in the Damascus suburbs of Ain Tarma, Zamalka and Jobar.

Washington has said that it does not have all the facts to determine the veracity of that claim.

US State Department spokeswoman Jennifer Psaki said on Thursday that President Obama had directed the US intelligence community to gather information about the alleged use of chemical weapons in Syria.

"At this time, right now, we are unable to conclusively determine CW (chemical weapons) use," Psaki said. "We are doing everything possible in our power to nail down the facts."

Other administration officials used a stronger language when talking to the media about the incident.

"There are strong indications there was a chemical weapons attack-clearly by the government," an unnamed senior administration official was quoted as saying by the Wall Street Journal. "But we do need to do our due diligence and get all the facts and determine what steps need to be taken."

The Syrian government and the army categorically denied any role in the alleged chemical attack.

In March, dozens of people were killed in a chemical attack in the northern province of Aleppo. A Russian-led inquiry said militants were behind the deadly attack.

Britain is planning to join forces with the United States and launch military action against Syria, reports the Telegraph.

British Prime Minister David Cameron

Britain is planning to join forces with the United States and launch military action against Syria in response to the chemical attack believed to have been carried out by President Bashar Al-Assad’s forces, the British Telegraph reported on Sunday.

Royal Navy vessels are being readied to take part in a possible series of cruise missile strikes, alongside the United States, as military commanders finalize a list of potential targets, the report said.

Government sources said talks between Prime Minister David Cameron and international leaders, including U.S. President Barack Obama, would continue, but that any military action that was agreed could begin within the next week.

The escalation comes as a direct response to what the British Government is convinced was a gas attack perpetrated by Syrian forces on a civilian district of Damascus last Wednesday.

The Assad regime has been under mounting pressure to allow United Nations inspectors on to the site to establish who was to blame for the atrocity. One international agency said it had counted at least 355 people dead and 3,600 injured following the attack, while reports suggested the true death toll could be as high as 1,300.

According to the Telegraph, Cameron interrupted his holiday for talks with Obama, French President Francois Hollande and German chancellor Angela Merkel. After discussions over the weekend, all the leaders agreed on the need for a “serious response”, according to the report.

Government sources confirmed to the Telegraph that military action was among the options “on the table” but said no decisions had been taken.

The Prime Minister, however, is believed to have abandoned hope of securing any further meaningful response from the UN amid opposition from Russia, which has already vetoed several Security Council resolutions condemning the Assad regime, including one from last week after the chemical attack.

The Royal Navy declined to comment on the current positions of its submarines, but said they regularly pass through the area on their way to the Suez Canal.

Pressure has been piling up on the West, particularly on Obama, to respond to the attack. Obama said last year that the use of chemical weapons in Syria would cross a "red line" and force a tough U.S. response, but so far has failed to deliver such a response other than deciding to directly arm selected Syrian rebel groups without publicly specifying the extent of the support.

UK and US military chiefs are drawing up a list of targets for precision-guided bombs and missiles to strike at the heart of Bashar Al-Assad’s regime. Defence correspondent Ian Drury looks at the options.

The favoured option among top brass is for limited Western action using ‘stand-off’ weapons from long distance to disrupt Assad’s ability to carry out chemical attacks and damage his military machine.

Intelligence on targets would come from pilotless drones patrolling the skies above Syria and special forces on the ground.

Military analysts believe an attack could last between 24 and 48 hours and would target key regime installations.

These would include Syria’s integrated air defence system, command and control bunkers, communications hubs, government buildings, missile sites and Assad’s air force.
The dictator’s use of air power has been a huge advantage for the regime, and eliminating or weakening it would tilt the odds toward the rebels.

Other military options are airstrikes on Syrian units believed to be responsible for chemical attacks. Reports last week claimed the chemical weapons were fired by the 155th Brigade of the 4th Armoured Division of the Syrian Army.

This division, which has a military base in a mountain range west of Damascus is under the command of the president’s brother, Maher Assad.

US-led strikes would be launched from warships or submarines patrolling in the eastern Mediterranean or Persian Gulf, or from combat aircraft that can fire missiles from hundreds of miles away.
A US Navy battlegroup including four destroyers is already in the eastern Mediterranean and has moved closer to Syria in preparation for action.
They are armed with Tomahawk cruise missiles capable of hitting a target from up to 1,200 miles away. Around 124 of the 18ft-long, £300,000 warheads were fired by US and British forces against Colonel Gaddafi’s forces during the Libyan war.
The US Air Force could also send B-2 stealth bombers to pound Assad’s military installations. Based in Missouri, they can cover the entire world with just one refuelling.

The most expensive aircraft ever – at a cost of £600million each – they are almost invisible to radar and can carry 40,000lbs of bombs.

As well as having F-16 fighter jets and refuelling aircraft based at airfields in the Middle East, the US also has defensive Patriot missile batteries positioned in Jordan, which neighbours Syria.

Despite multi-billion-pound cuts to the defence budge that have seen top brass axe fast jets, warships, spy planes and 30,000 troops, the armed forces can still contribute to an assault on Syria.

The Royal Navy could fire Tomahawk missiles from its nuclear-powered Trafalgar-class submarines – one of which is constantly on patrol in the Middle East.
The subs carry a giant payload of the super-accurate missiles.

Heavily-armed RAF Tornados could in theory fly from RAF Marham in Norfolk to attack targets in Syria – a 4,200 mile round trip – or be deployed to Cyprus to launch bombing raids from there.

Carrying precision-guided Storm Shadow missiles, the air crews could devastate enemy defenses including radar stations, anti-aircraft batteries and supply lines.

Bombing in Beirut kills 18, injures 340, announces fight is on
Published: 16 hours ago

F. Michael Maloof, staff writer for WND and G2Bulletin, is a former senior security policy analyst in the office of the secretary of defense.

Editor’s Note: The following report is excerpted from Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin, the premium online newsletter published by the founder of WND. Subscriptions are $99 a year or, for monthly trials, just $9.95 per month for credit card users, and provide instant access for the complete reports.

WASHINGTON – A car bomb explosion in the Shiite Hezbollah stronghold Dahiyeh in south Beirut that killed at least 18 people and wounded some 340 may be the beginning of a new round of Shiite-Sunni sectarian violence in Lebanon and shows al-Qaida has declared war on the Iranian-backed group, according to report from Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin.

The impact of this attack in a Hezbollah high security area may well prompt the resistance group, which the United States and Israel regard as a terrorist organization, to confront directly the al-Qaida-affiliated group al-Nusra. The result could become urban warfare in Beirut and the surrounding area.

Jabhat al-Nusra is linked to the armed Syrian opposition seeking to topple the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Hezbollah and Iran back the embattled Syrian president and have sent fighters to assist the Syrian military to roll back the opposition.

In response, al-Nusra had threatened to send fighters into Lebanon to attack areas controlled by Hezbollah.

This latest explosion is the largest to date of such attacks on Hezbollah areas of control and is considered the most significant since the end of the 1975-1990 civil war in Lebanon.

“Observing the massive response as it is unfolding,” one source at the scene emailed to WND, “This (attack) is major – al-Nusra has set up operations in Dahiyeh? Looks like war.

“Hezbollah is everywhere – not with guns by the hundreds but by the thousands!” the source said. “Checkpoints are every 100 yards.”

This explosion follows another car bomb that detonated last month in the same Hezbollah area of Dahiyeh, but there were no casualties then.

“It was clear that this was an attack on Hezbollah,” said the owner of a restaurant just around the corner from the blast site.

The explosion blew a hole in the street between two tall apartment buildings and blew off the fronts of shops, setting a dozen of cars on fire. Bodies littered the street.

The source initially described to WND the location of some stores and a butcher shop next to a Banque Libano-Francaise and a Harkous Chicken Restaurant.

However, as he looked more closely at what he thought initially were sheep or cow carcasses – a common sight in the area – something he saw turned out to be the shredded body of the alleged perpetrator. The attacker had been thrown across the road and the body was lodged between two thick workmen’s planks hanging some 12 feet off the ground on a rusty, thick metal scaffolding.

In addition to injuring 340 people, the blast also left some 350 families displaced.

As Jerome Corsi warned earlier today, “this is one of the most serious moments that we’ve ever faced in world history.”

Events are happening quickly and as it stands, the United States, Britain and other western allies are preparing a missile strike on Syria.

Russia has been the most critical opponent of the possibility of mid east military action, but now China has also stepped in.

Russia and China have stepped up their warnings against military intervention in Syria, with Moscow saying any such action would have “catastrophic consequences” for the region.

BBC via Zero Hedge

And moments ago the Interfax new agency announced that China and Russia have left the negotiating table in response to a proposal for Britain’s David Cameron on pending intervention in Syria.

Russian and Chinese representatives have left the UN Security Council session that discussed the draft resolution on Syria proposed by Great Britain.
