'OF COURSE THERE'S MUSLIM TERROR. AND JEWISH TERROR. AND CHRISTIAN TERROR. AND IT'S INSPIRED AND GUIDED BY RELIGION'

Exactly the same antichrist spirit than Pope Francis

God must not be our top priority, says Orthodox rabbinical revolutionary Donniel Hartman, the head of an educational powerhouse, argues heretically that the great monotheistic religions are fatally flawed — by an obsessive focus on God that overwhelms what should be our prime imperative, to live decent, moral lives. Here, he explains how we need to fight back

By David Horovitz June 28, 2016, 11:31 am

David Horovitz David Horovitz is the founding editor of The Times of Israel. He previously edited The Jerusalem Post (2004-2011) and The … [More]

‘Putting God Second.” The very title of Donniel Hartman’s new book sounds sacrilegious, heretical, an assault on the Divine and on faith in the Divine.
http://www.timesofisrael.com/signup/?utm_source=toi-articles&utm_medium…
But of course, it can’t possibly be that, can it? It’s written, after all, by an Orthodox rabbi. By the president of Jerusalem’s Shalom Hartman Institute, an educational powerhouse dedicated to invigorating Judaism.

The Hartman Institute, situated on a large, airy campus around the corner from the Jerusalem Theater, employs 300-plus people whose shared purpose, says Hartman, is to “elevate the ideas and educational programs in Jewish life, so as to create a meaningful and powerful Judaism for the modern world.” It runs programs in 130 secular Israeli high schools, and a gap year for Israelis and North Americans; it has trained over 1,000 rabbis in North America; it co-runs a new Israeli rabbinic school for men and women of all denominations; it has provided curricula for Hillel educators at dozens of US college campuses; 1,000 senior Israeli army officers a year have studied at the institute, which also hosts two Orthodox high schools — one for girls, one for boys — with 700 students. Thousands of lay leaders across North America study in its seminars. It runs extensive programs for Christian and Muslim leaders in North America and for Arab educators in Israel. On the day I visited, a group of key Israeli security officials were in a nearby classroom, for a program on the significance of Jerusalem.

And the head of this Jewish research and educational juggernaut is telling us we need to put God second? Well, yes he is.

He admits to having had “a lot of debates” about what to call the book, whose subtitle — “How to Save Religion from Itself” — hammers home the goal.

He insists he’s not trying “to be provocative. I’m an educator. I’m not looking for attention.”

But he is most emphatically a religious revolutionary.

Citation:

‘There’s something flawed in the system that the system doesn’t fully understand. I don’t think religion understands God’s impact on people’

Hartman argues that ethics — living honestly and decently — should be the first priority of the religious human being, of all human beings. Most of us would agree with that.
He laments that in Judaism, as in all the great monotheistic religions, the obsession with God has been allowed to take intolerable precedence over that prime ethical imperative. Many of us would agree with that, too.

Most controversially, however, he asserts that the exaggerated, over-elevated focus on God in religion is actually not the fault of the religious, the practitioners, but of monotheism itself. “I go further than most critics of religion,” Hartman acknowledges, setting out his challenge during a heartfelt interview in his office at the institute, “because most critics of religion say that the problem is religious people who distort it. I don’t think that’s the case. I think there is an auto-immune disease embedded in religion. There’s something flawed in the system that the system doesn’t fully understand. I don’t think religion understands God’s impact on people.”

So, no, Donniel Hartman insists his resonant call to put God second isn’t some superficial provocation. Rather, it’s issued out of a conviction that “the more we put ethics first, the more I am a religious person” and the less that God is “a destructive force in our lives.

Does that make him a heretic? Maybe, he allows, if it’s heretical to admit “that religion has flaws, and that religion can fail.”

He’s not calling to close down religion; far from it. Like the subtitle says, he’s trying “to save religion.” But, again, “if criticism is heretical, which it can become, then yes, I’m proud to be a heretic,” says Hartman. “But in our tradition, criticism is the greatest sign of love.”

What follows is an edited transcript of our interview.

The Times of Israel: Before we get onto the book, tell me a little about what you and the institute do.

Rabbi Donniel Hartman (Courtesy of Shalom Hartman Institute)

Donniel Hartman: The Hartman Institute attempts to elevate Jewish discourse, elevate the ideas and educational programs in Jewish life, so as to create a meaningful and powerful Judaism for the modern world. This institution is founded on the belief that Jewish continuity is dependent on content and on the quality of our ideas and of our moral values. We’re not a policy think tank which has a prescription. The Jewish people walks on its ideas; let’s produce those ideas, let’s get them out into the field.

The uniqueness of the institute is that we take responsibility for developing these ideas and then translating them into scale-able programs. Our size is between ten to a hundred times the size of the average Jewish renewal educational institution in Israel. They range in budget from $250,000 to $2.5 million. Our budget is $25 million. We have 300-400 employees. We can, and we do, bring Jewish studies to Israeli society in a way that’s pluralistic, that’s democratic, that’s liberal. So we now are in 130 schools, a third of all the secular high schools in the country.

In what grades, doing what exactly?

Seven through 12. We’ve trained principals, we’ve trained hundreds of teachers, written curricula. We have 40 advisers who work in the school system implementing what’s known as Tarbut Yisraelit (Israeli culture). We’re the ones who developed this curriculum.

And for the Diaspora?

Hundreds of rabbis. Lay people. Hillel educators. We’re on 55 campuses.

What do you mean “on” 55 campuses?

We’ve worked in partnership with senior Hillel educators. And we’ve provided them with curricula. And we continue to work with them. And now we’re creating a program within (what is called the) “iEngage” (framework) which will involve 200 to 300 college students annually from all over the US. They’ll study for the year with the Hillel educator and, in the middle, come here for a 10 day seminar.

In addition, “iEngage” has been running for years now in 400 synagogues and organizations.

“iEngage” involves what?

It’s an educational program which works to develop a Jewish values narrative around (the subject of) Israel — a way to think and talk about the challenges of sovereignty. Nothing to do with your political position. How do we understand the meaning of this country? And can we create a conversation which transcends the divides that are making Israel such a toxic conversation in America?

One year’s curriculum was on “The Tribes of Israel, a shared homeland for a divided people,” which focused on the issue of religion and state. How do we even talk about religion and state? The next one is on Jewish values in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The New York Federation is funding it in 75 synagogues; Los Angeles — 20. The program is being studied citywide in San Francisco, San Diego, Chicago, Toronto, Boston… It’s in hundreds of synagogues, federations, campuses. It’s the most widely used Jewish educational curriculum now in America. And it’s growing exponentially.

The Hartman Institute in Jerusalem (Courtesy)

We’ve trained over a thousand rabbis over the years. We’re starting an “iEngage” curriculum for Israeli Jews and Israeli Arabs. We’re going to have six Arab research fellows, together with six Jewish research fellows, talking about what does a Jewish civil society mean, what does a homeland of the Jewish people mean, when 20 percent of our society is not Jewish.

1,000 of the senior officers of the Israeli army from the rank of lieutenant-colonel and colonel come here annually. Right now, the whole leadership of a key part of Israel’s security apparatus is sitting downstairs. Literally. They’re all here. They’re studying what does Jerusalem mean. They’re trying to understand the conflict around Jerusalem.
Everybody has an opinion. People don’t necessarily have knowledge.

So, what are you teaching them…?

We actually partnered on this with the Jerusalem Institute for Israel Studies. We’re teaching them about some of the ideological meanings of Jerusalem, because you can’t understand Israeli society without understanding what Jerusalem means in the Jewish tradition; why are people running to go up on Temple Mount. Why are so many Jews, religious and secular, so united around the centrality of a unified Jerusalem?

THE DOME OF THE VATICAN = THE CAPSTONE OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER

For some days, on the catholic Zenit website, we can see the dome of the Vatican. It's showing us that they are now going in the last phase of their luciferian global project. In a speech, the EU president Jean Claude Juncker spoke about the leaders of other planets who are anxious about what's going on on planet earth (french) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lhZQXjmI8Y&list=PLb72M03_6UOIw1GXJkXq0… .

Are the gods ready to come to save us?

Pope Francis is known for his desire to build bridges between people of all different religions and traditions. Now, he is asking American youth to come and encounter Christ with thousands (perhaps a million) other youth of various denominations on the National Mall on July 16.

The Pope took the time to record a personal message asking youth to participate, joining 40 well-known speakers, authors and leaders for a day of unified prayer and worship.

In the message, he says “Young men and women, I know there is something in your heart that moves you. And that makes you restless, because a young person who is not restless is an old person. And you have youthfulness, and youthfulness breeds restlessness. What is your restlessness? Do you know what it is or do you not know? Do you want to know what your restlessness is? I invite you to a great gathering of youth in Washington, D.C. to find the one who can give you an answer to your restlessness.”

The event is run by PULSE, a student-led evangelism movement that is hoping that 1 million people will gather on the 16th to celebrate their mutual love of Christ.

Founder of Pulse Nick Hall explains, “That Pope Francis would choose to speak about this historic day is a testament to the urgency and the need for followers of Jesus to unite in prayer for our nation and our world. We are humbled and honored by his involvement and are eager to share his invitation to Together 2016.”

But why now? What is it about 2016 that particularly calls for a gathering of this enormity?

The times call for this moment,” says Hall. It is time to gather on a large scale and draw our attention back where it really matters. Our hope and help are found in Jesus, not in political leaders. We are going to come together, seek God, pray for our nation and pray for unity. Our goal is to gather as a unified front, seeking Jesus and change for our nation through prayer and worship.”

Along with this opportunity to pray and to meet youth from all different backgrounds, PULSE will provide more than 10,000 service opportunities within a 100-mile radius of Washington, D.C. during the week before and after Together2016.

The Pope finishes his message by saying, “…And I assure you, you will not be frustrated. God does not leave anyone disillusioned. Jesus is waiting for you. He is the One who planted the seeds of restlessness in your heart. Give it a try! You don’t have anything to lose. “

POPE WILL GO TO SWEDEN OCT. 31 FOR COMMEMORATION OF THE REFORMATION

Events to reflect a commitment to common witness

June 1, 2016 ZENIT Staff Ecumenism and Interreligious dialogue, Papal Trips

ZENIT - HSM

The following is a Joint Press Release – from the Lutheran World Federation and the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity – concerning the ecumenical events in Lund and Malmö, in Sweden, in which Pope Francis will participate on the 31st of October, for the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.

A full schedule of the trip has not been released, but according to Vatican spokesman, Jesuit Father Federico Lombardi, on Nov. 1, the Pope will celebrate a public Mass.

The joint Lutheran-Catholic ecumenical commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation on 31 October in Lund, Sweden will consist of two parts. It will begin with a liturgy in Lund Cathedral and continue with a public event at Malmö Arena that will be open to wider participation. The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) and Roman Catholic Church joint event will highlight the 50 years of continuous ecumenical dialogue between Catholics and Lutherans and the joint gifts of this collaboration. The Catholic-Lutheran commemoration of 500 years of the Reformation is structured around the themes of thanksgiving, repentance and commitment to common witness. The aim is to express the gifts of the Reformation and ask forgiveness for division perpetuated by Christians from the two traditions.

Lund Cathedral will be the venue for the common prayer service based on the recently published Catholic-Lutheran “Common Prayer” liturgical guide that is based on the report From Conflict to Communion. Malmö Arena will be the stage for activities focusing on the commitment to common witness and service of Catholics and Lutherans in the world.

Highlights of the joint work of LWF World Service and Caritas Internationalis will be featured, including care for refugees, peacebuilding, and advocacy for climate justice. The arena can host up to 10,000 people.

Pope Francis, LWF President Bishop Dr Munib A. Younan and LWF General Secretary Rev. Dr Martin Junge will lead the common prayer service in Lund and the event in Malmö in cooperation with leaders from Church of Sweden and the Catholic Diocese of Stockholm.

“There is power when communities find their way out of conflict. In Christ we are encouraged to serve together in this world. The joint commemoration is a witness to the love and hope we all have because of the grace of God,” LWF President Younan and General Secretary Junge say.

Kurt Cardinal Koch, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity explains further: “By concentrating together on the centrality of the question of God and on a Christocentric approach, Lutherans and Catholics will have the possibility of an ecumenical commemoration of the Reformation, not simply in a pragmatic way, but in the deep sense of faith in the crucified and resurrected Christ.”

“We look forward to this event which can gather up to 10,000 people. The idea behind the arena event is to further describe the development from conflict to communion with a focus on hope for the future and common service in the world,” says Church of Sweden Archbishop Antje Jackélen.

Bishop Anders Arborelius of the Catholic Diocese of Stockholm adds, “History will be written when Pope Francis and the LWF leaders visit Lund and Malmö to encourage all of us to go further on the road towards Christian unity.”

Information on the Joint Ecumenical Commemoration will be updated on the event website www.lund2016.net

When we sing together in prayer we engage with God and are transformed to his likeness, better to join his ongoing New Song amongst the nations. Part of the Worship Leader Media suite of resources, the NWLC encompasses a broad range of styles and traditions in order to facilitate inspiration, training, and unity amongst the body of Christ.

AFRICA TO BE CONSECRATED TO DIVINE MERCY THIS SEPTEMBER

Papal envoy to attend continental congress, which will conclude with consecration

July 12, 2016 ZENIT Staff Jubilees and Special Years

From Vatican Radio:
Pope Francis on Monday appointed Cardinal Pasinya Laurent Monsengwo, the Archbishop of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, as his special envoy to the Third Congress for Africa and Madagascar on Divine Mercy (AMACOM), which will be held in Kigali (Rwanda) from 9 September to 15 September 2016.

Speaking about the Apostolic Congress on Mercy, Father Stanislas Filipek, the AMACOM Coordinator says the Congress has a continental scope to offer inner healing and reconciliation rooted in mercy.

“We are currently living a Jubilee Year of Mercy. A Congress, which has a continental scope, on Divine Mercy to be held in Rwanda from 9 to 15 September 2016, is to be considered as one of the pastoral events of the Universal Church of the extraordinary Jubilee Year of mercy. The Congress, through its general theme, ‘Divine Mercy source of hope for the New Evangelization in Africa’ would like to meet men and women of Africa in the evil that hurts them, often causing hatred and offer them a process of inner healing and reconciliation rooted in mercy through their own experience of the Divine mercy. We hope that this Congress offers participants a time of prayer and encounter with the merciful Lord; a time of reflection and deepening of faith in God, rich in mercy, but also an opportunity to be in fellowship in their diversity,” said Fr.  Filipek.

Fr. Filipek says that during the Apostolic Congress on Mercy two special events will be key.

“During the Congress, two special events are reserved: The act of consecration of the African continent to the Divine Mercy, on 14 September, at the closing of this Congress. Then second, the pilgrimage of all participants at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sorrows in Kibeho on 15 September,” the AMACOM coordinator announced.

Rwanda says it is ready to welcome pilgrims to the Congress that will be held at the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Kabuga in the Archdiocese of Kigali, Rwanda.

A Novena is available on the internet page: http://sanctuary.kabuga.com.

« Portrait of an idiot in action », a réagi un internaute sur Twitter. On n’aurait pas dit mieux.

SPIRITUAL TRAP - TRANSITION - THE ROAD OF PAGANISM - YOU ARE A GOD

CHRISTIAN ARTS AND APOLOGETICS FESTIVAL COMES TO RURAL WISCONSIN TOWN

All the focus is on man and performance. Were is Jesus and His kingdom? Persecutions is growing all around the world against christians, but at the same time, we see a new spirituality to emerge. You don't see any satanic or atheism groups saying something about these "christian festivals". There is a reason, believe me! Christians walking on the road of destruction.

Contact: Dr. Anthony Horvath, Athanatos Christian Ministries, 202-697-4623, director@athanatosministries.org

GREENWOOD, Wis., July 12, 2016 /Christian Newswire/ -- Something new and unexpected is coming to the rural countryside of central Wisconsin: a Christian arts and apologetics festival with an international flair.

Known within the apologetics community for its online conferences and a focus on defending the faith through literature and the arts, Athanatos Christian Ministries will take the same approach in a four day festival held on the outskirts of Greenwood, WI, August 4-7, 2016.

The website for the event is www.christianartsfestival.us.

ACM founder and Executive Director, Dr. Anthony Horvath, says that one of the goals of the event is to highlight and elevate local and regional Christian artists while introducing the region to individuals and perspectives from around the country, and even the globe.

Horvath says, "As illustrated by our Christian novel contest, ACM has always emphasized literature. That's why we will be having several award winning writers at our event, including Joseph Courtemanche, the Minnesota author of a book that has received several awards. But we have also emphasized the need to appeal to people who are not already Christians. So, we are pleased to have the musician Sean Michel, who made a splash on 'American Idol.'"

Another presenter is filmmaker Mark Spence, Co-host of "The Comfort Zone." Ray Comfort is well known for the movie "180." Their ministry, "Living Waters," will be screening its latest release about atheism at the festival.

Bringing an international flavor is Christian Lenty, an activist based out of Thailand who is engaged in the war on human trafficking. Another international speaker is an award winning author from Egypt.

"We are pleased to bring in Christians from around the globe so that people in the upper Midwest can get a glimpse into how Christians are at work in other places, and vice versa," Horvath says.

Cultivating a culture in which Christian artists can flourish is only one aspect of ACM's vision. Another aspect is its desire to facilitate deep conversations about important matters. To that end, Dr. Bernard Bull, an expert in educational technology, and Dr. Wayne Rossiter, a rising critic of theistic evolution, will stand alongside the host of other artists and performers.

"Our motto is: Equipping artists to be apologists and apologists to be artists," Horvath says. "In today's climate, you have to cultivate both sides at once."

Dr. Anthony Horvath is available for interviews at 202-697-4623 and director@athanatosministries.org.

ISLAMIC PRAYER STIRS CONTROVERSY AT PCUSA GENERAL ASSEMBLY

July 2, 2016

During the opening plenary session of the Presbyterian Church (USA) General Assembly, church leaders set aside time to remember the victims of the Charleston shooting last year and the recent Orlando shooting. An Islamic leader offered a prayer during the service in which he referred to Mohammed as a prophet alongside Jesus and decried “bigots” and “Islamophobes.” The prayer stirred up controversy and eventually precipitated an apology from PC(USA) officials.

The time of remembrance on Saturday, June 18, included numerous Presbyterians. But it also featured a prayer from Wajdi Said, co-founder and president of the Muslim Educational Trust in Portland.

First, Said prayed in Arabic. During the prayer, the PC(USA) projected the following text:
Citation:

In the Name of Allah, the beneficent, the merciful: let us praise the Lord of the Universe who has created us and made us into tribes and nations that we may know each other, not that we may despise each other. Incline towards peace, and trust in God, for the Lord is one that hears and knows all things. And the servants of the God Most Gracious are those who walk on Earth in humility and when we address them, we say, “Peace.” Amen!

He then switched to praying in English:
Citation:

Oh Allah, bless us and bless our families, and bless our world. Lead us on the straight path, the path of all the prophets: Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac; Moses and Jesus; and Muhammad. Peace be upon them all.

A subsequent article about the time of remembrance on the PC(USA)’s website quoted Said as saying: “Lead us to the straight path of all the prophets…” However, the quote was cut off before Said listed which prophets he was referring to.

Said continued praying in English, varying the scripted text projected by the PC(USA) as quoted above. At the end of his prayer, he made a major alteration. Instead of saying “when we address them [the servants of God],” he substituted “the bigots and the hateful and the Islamaphobes” for “we.”

The video of the entire plenary session is available on Vimeo. Said’s prayer begins just past the 14 minute mark.

IRD Board Member Mateen Elass reported that Stated Clerk Gradye Parsons received “a protest letter written by a Korean Presbyterian and signed by 25 Assembly commissioners” regarding the prayer. Four days after the prayer (Wednesday, June 22), Parsons offered the following apology during the afternoon plenary session, according to Elass:
Citation:

During the interfaith prayer service on Saturday in response to the killings in Charleston and Orlando, a prayer was offered that went beyond what had been scripted. It was an offense of the head, not of the heart; it came from one seeking to be authentically gracious, as part of the healing service. Some commissioners found it offensive. When in relationship with people of other faiths, sometimes we can inadvertently be offensive when meaning to be sensitive and ecumenical. It was never the intention of the one offering the prayer to offend any of us. Nevertheless, we offer an apology to all those who were offended.

NORTH CAROLINA CHURCHES, REVERENDS PUBLISH FULL PAGE NEWSPAPER AD FOR MOSQUE

Posted on July 17, 2016 by creeping

Top and bottom of full page ad for mosque

can't open it

Citizens are waking up. Source: Should Christians Welcome Muslims and Support Mosques?
Citation:

This post was written as a response to a full page ad that appeared in my local Burlington, NC paper, The Times-News, on February 25, 2016 titled: “Appeal for Support of Alamance County’s First Mosque” (click here for a PDF of the page). This full page ad was paid for by an anonymous person and signed by several organizations, individuals, and churches. Yes Christian churches.

This “ad”, supporting the first mosque in our county, misrepresented Islam, Mosques, Christians, Christianity, and the 1st Amendment. While I’m not an expert on Islam, I have read a great deal about it.  I’ve learned it’s NOT something most Americans would welcome as the dominate force in this country… and being the dominate force is where Islam seeks its equilibrium.

The “ad” in the paper mentioned the “three Abrahamic” faiths: just because you can trace the three Abrahamic faiths back to Abraham does not mean they are equal faiths, or share the same God for that matter.  They are not equal.  As Christians we are primarily concerned with the words and works of Jesus.  Jesus was peaceful and died to save us from our sins, and not just any death, he was tortured and then nailed to a cross.  Muslims are primarily concerned with the commands of Muhammad, a violent warrior who conquered by bloodshed and death.

Many Protestant denominations have been taken over by socialists and progressives.  The ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) is a good example of this.  In 2015, the Lutheran Social Services (LSS) of Minnesota created a 61 page booklet titled “My Neighbor is a Muslim” that paints a false representation of Islam, just like the “ad” in my local paper was inaccurate.  They did this to try and soften the opposition to the thousands of Somali refugees they’re bringing into that area.  Jodi Harpstead, CEO of LSS makes over $300,000 a year to do this. The Muslim Imam assisting with this booklet is a supporter of the terrorist group Hamas, believes Sha’ria law should be the law in U.S. areas where Muslims are the majority, heads one of two mosques where Somali youth have left to fight for a terrorist organization, and was refused government security clearance.  This is not isolated, this type of propaganda is rampantly being created and disseminated.  Here is a website, Exposing the ELCA that tracks the downfall of the ELCA.

During the recent 2016 primary elections in parts of Minnesota, reporters could not report on some candidates because only Somali was spoken: Candidates Speak Only in Somali at Minnesota DFL Caucus. This is where we’re headed, and is a direct result of the above mentioned efforts by the ELCA, our government, and others to flood the USA with Muslim refugees.  It’s unlikely the mosques these Muslims are attending are going to make Americans out of them, rather they will try to change America to their vision: they’re bringing their country with them.

Read it all, particularly the conclusion. And read the full-page ad that includes what are either outright lies or utter ignorance.

All very bizarre considering the extensive jihad activity in North Carolina.

MEET CARDINAL BURKE, UNFILTERED

One of the most outspoken leaders of the Catholic Church provides a therapeutic analysis of the crisis affecting the Church

Contact: Kevin Wandra, 404-788-1276, KWandra@CarmelCommunications.com

SAN FRANCISCO, July 19, 2016 /Christian Newswire/ -- In a thorough and hard-hitting discussion, Cardinal Raymond Burke frankly offers his thoughts and insights on the pressing issues of our time — the role of the Catholic Church in the modern world, the liturgy, spiritual renewal, marriage, family, respect for human life, radical feminism, poverty and more — in his new book, HOPE FOR THE WORLD: To Unite All Things in Christ.

Burke's deep love for Christ and the Catholic Church is evident as he recounts his own upbringing in a devout Catholic family, his early priestly years and his service as a bishop in the United States and Rome. In HOPE FOR THE WORLD, Burke approaches every topic from the perspective of deep faith and sound reasoning, without polemics, and treats difficult subjects with clarity and directness. He provides lucid and straightforward answers to the essential moral and spiritual challenges of today.

"Cardinal Burke reveals his own story, and along the way, he candidly answers challenging questions with clarity and precision," Raymond Arroyo, EWTN news anchor of "The World Over," says of HOPE FOR THE WORLD. "Throughout he is as inspiring as he is fearless."

Burke is widely considered a great canonist, with long pastoral experience. He was made a bishop by Pope John Paul II in 1994, and a cardinal in 2010 by Pope Benedict XVI. He was called to Rome in the same year to become Prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura. In 2014, Pope Francis named him chaplain to the Order of Malta.

Evangelist Andrew Palau proclaims Good News in Jamaica

KINGSTON, Jamaica, July 20, 2016 /Christian Newswire/ -- The biennial Fun in the Son Festival lived up to its name in Kingston, Jamaica on July 16th as thousands of people gathered under the warm Jamaican sun for a free family festival with international evangelist Andrew Palau. The crowd packed into National Heroes Park in Kingston to enjoy the festivities and hear the Good News of Jesus Christ proclaimed.

"It is remarkable to see Fun in the Son growing year after year," Palau shared. "With each festival, many more of God's people are capturing the strategy of bringing friends and family so that the depth of impact just grows and grows. I know exactly how this plan can transform a person . . . it is the story of my life!" = Not to glorify our Great Lord but to have friendship with others and have fun... Just an other pagan festival to seduce the masses.

The festival—a collaborative effort between the Luis Palau Association, Jamaica Broilers, and Glory Music—began with several marching bands in brightly colored uniforms, effectively setting the celebratory tone for the rest of the day. Other performers included Donnie McClurkin—a special guest visiting from New York City—and Jamaican artists Kevin Downswell, Judith Gayle, Carlene Davis, Papa San, and many others. A children's area featuring carnival games, bounce castles, and face painting proved to be a popular attraction, along with world-class action sports demonstrations including skateboarding, professional BMX athletes Vic Murphy and Jon Andrus, and three-time Freestyle Motorcycle X-Games Gold medalist Kyle Loza.

The main stage presentation began in the afternoon, with the highlight being a message of the Good News of Jesus Christ from Palau. The crowd was attentive as he shared from John 10:10 about God's promised abundant life for those who turn to Jesus, appeal for forgiveness, and receive Him personally. Palau made a point of clarifying some of the common misunderstandings about what is required to be saved, and then appealed passionately that not one would reject the free gift of God. Afterward, Palau led a prayer from the stage and invited those in the audience who wished to accept the Lord to join him in praying and raise their hand in an outward expression of their commitment. Across the crowd, a sea of hands could been seen in the air. In addition to those who responded on-site, many others heard the message via radio broadcast and were able to text their decision to the follow-up committee.

"This was my first time attending, and I have no regrets," one festival goer shared on Facebook. "When I walked in the crowd, I could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. Truly awesome."

In addition to the festival, the Palau Association worked with Jamaica Broilers to put on the first ever Fun in the Son Women's Luncheon. Nearly 300 women attended and heard a message of hope from Wendy and Andrew Palau. Many women in attendance made the decision to follow Jesus at the event. Palau also invited a team of volunteers from around the world to serve local churches in their ongoing efforts—such as providing reading glasses at health clinics, school outreaches, infirmary visits, a sports camp, and more. Andrew also shared the Good News at four prisons during the week.

"Many lives were powerfully touched throughout this week of ministry," festival coordinator Randy Burtis shared.

The festival in Jamaica holds a special significance for Palau because it was at a very similar event where he accepted the Lord 23 years ago and received his calling as an evangelist. The speaker at that event was his very own father, renowned evangelist Luis Palau.

The Palau team's next stop will be in Malawi in August 2016, where Andrew Palau will once again partner with hundreds of local churches, thousands of local believers, and dozens of volunteers from around the world to share the message of Jesus in the African country's capital city, Lilongwe. Additionally, partner evangelists will also help to share the Good News in five additional regions, making it a truly national effort.

NEXT GENERATION ALLIANCE CONNECTS IN DC

Contact: Betsey Kost, 503-614-1500

PORTLAND, Ore., July 21, 2016 /Christian Newswire/ -- Over 140 members and guests of Luis Palau Association's Next Generation Alliance (NGA) gathered for the Connect Conference in Washington DC July 14-16, 2016. Participants, coming from across the United States and around the world, met to network, share ideas on evangelism and ministry, and hear from speakers on the theme of Engagement.

Speakers included Jose Zayas, a pastor from Portland, Oregon, and founder of Jose Zayas Evangelism International, speaking on Engaging Churches. York Moore, National Evangelist for Intervarsity Christian Fellowship USA, spoke on Engaging Culture, and Kevin Palau, president of the Luis Palau Association, challenged attendees on the topic of Engaging Cities. A panel centering on Engaging for Change included Jessica Fick of Stonecroft Ministries, JA Perez of the JA Perez Evangelistic Association, Sammy Wanyonyi of Shine in the World Ministries (SHINE), Frazier White of Faith Tabernacle UHCA and Zoro, of Zoro International Ministries.

The weekend culminated in conference attendees' participation in Together 2016, the Saturday rally event on the National Mall which drew thousands to pray and worship. Together 2016 organizer Nick Hall, founder of PULSE Outreach and the primary force behind Together, is also an NGA cabinet member.

Of the Connect Conference event, one participant commented, "I met incredible brothers and sisters in Christ and I was encouraged by what they shared and imparted as well as the time for me to discuss the ministry where I advance Jesus' name."

Another young participant said, "Being 25 years old...I received so much insight and wisdom…and ideas on how to be more effective and engaging."

One of the primary core values of NGA is collaboration, and the annual Connect Conference can be a way for NGA members to network and learn how they can partner together. A post-conference survey indicated eight out of ten attendees planned to pursue collaboration with someone they met at the conference. Nine out of ten indicated they were able to make meaningful connections with other evangelists and evangelistic ministries.

Next Generation Alliance, founded in 1998, exists to identify, affirm, equip, and mobilize an international fellowship of evangelists. A ministry of the Luis Palau Association, NGA has grown in its 18-year history to a fellowship of over 630 members, a diverse network emphasizing the idea of "one message, many expressions" in the spread of the Gospel.

21 juillet 2016 Anne Kurian Rome

Cardinal Leonardo Sandri, Capture Salt&LightTV

THE POPE HAS A SHOCKING PLAN FOR 2016 (R$E)

Excellent video but I disagree of what the guy told at 13.52mtes. These christians went on a satanic place to praise and to worship God, when all this festival is part of the one world religion to bring all religions together. I just hope that they will open their eyes, to fear God and to stay away from all these false christianity pagan festivals.

Prophet Samuel speaking :

12 "And when ye saw that Nahash the king of the children of Ammon came against you, ye said unto me, Nay; but a king shall reign over us: when the Lord your God was your king.
13 Now therefore behold the king whom ye have chosen, and whom ye have desired! and, behold, the Lord hath set a king over you.
14 If ye will fear the Lord, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth over you continue following the Lord your God:
15 But if ye will not obey the voice of the Lord, but rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then shall the hand of the Lord be against you, as it was against your fathers.
16 Now therefore stand and see this great thing, which the Lord will do before your eyes.
17 Is it not wheat harvest to day? I will call unto the Lord, and he shall send thunder and rain; that ye may perceive and see that your wickedness is great, which ye have done in the sight of the Lord, in asking you a king.
18 So Samuel called unto the Lord; and the Lord sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared the Lord and Samuel.
19 And all the people said unto Samuel, Pray for thy servants unto the Lord thy God, that we die not: for we have added unto all our sins this evil, to ask us a king.
20 And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart;
21 And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain.
22 For the Lord will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it hath pleased the Lord to make you his people.
23 Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:
24 Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.
25 But if ye shall still do wickedly, ye shall be consumed, both ye and your king."
1 Samuel 12:12-25

POPE SUGGESTS A “BEAUTIFUL PRAYER” FOR THIS WEEK

Notes That the Most Important Petition Is Rarely Considered

July 24, 2016Kathleen NaabUncategorized

Pope Francis proposed today a beautiful prayer for this week: “Father, give me the Holy Spirit.”
= The Kundulini spirit

The Pope offered this suggestion before praying the midday Angelus with those gathered in St. Peter’s Square, as he commented on the Gospel of today, which is Luke’s account of Jesus teaching the “Our Father.”

Jesus tells the disciples, “When you pray, say: Father…”

“This word is the secret of Jesus’ prayer,” the Pope said. “It is the key that he himself gives us so that we can also enter into this relationship of trusting dialogue with the Father.”

Giving space to God

The Pontiff continued: “To the name ‘Father,’ Jesus associates two petitions: ‘hallowed be your name; your kingdom come.’ Jesus’ prayer, and therefore, a Christian’s prayer, is before all to give space to God, allowing him to manifest his holiness in us and allowing the advance of his kingdom by the possibility of exercising his lordship of love in our lives.”

The next three petitions of the Our Father, Francis explained, “express our fundamental needs: bread, forgiveness and help in temptation.”

The bread is the bread of a pilgrim, he said, “a bread that doesn’t accumulate and doesn’t go to waste, that doesn’t weigh down our journey.”

Forgiveness, meanwhile, is “above all that which we receive from God.” And it’s our awareness of this forgiveness of our own sins that “can make us capable of carrying out concrete gestures of fraternal reconciliation.”

Finally, Francis said, “the last request — do not abandon us in temptation — expresses an awareness of our condition, ever exposed to the deceit of evil and corruption. All of us know what a temptation is!”  = an other way to know more about you and to know if you're against this new global agenda. Stay away!

Complete confidence

The Pope then reflected on the two parables that complete today’s Gospel.

“Both aim to teach us to have complete trust in God, who is Father,” he said.

We pray to the Father with “audacity and insistence” even though he knows better than us what we need, “because this is our way of participating in his work of salvation.”

“Prayer is the first and principal ‘work tool’ in our hands,” the Pope said. “To insist [on something] with God is not in order to convince him, but rather to strengthen our faith and our patience, that is, our capacity to fight beside God for the things that are truly important and necessary. In prayer we are a pair: God and me, fighting together for what is important.”

Holy Spirit

And the great important thing, the Pope said, is one we “hardly every consider.”

Jesus says, “If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”

“The Holy Spirit! We need to ask that the Holy Spirit comes to us,” Francis exclaimed. “[…]How beautiful a prayer it would be if in this week, each one of us would ask the Father, ‘Father, give me the Holy Spirit.’

“The Virgin Mary shows us this with her existence, wholly animated by the Spirit of God. She helps us to pray to the Father united to Jesus, so as to live not in a worldly way, but in accord with the Gospel, guided by the Holy Spirit.”

“JESUS IS NOT COMING BACK, HE HAS DRUNK WHEN HE SAID SO” – ROMAN CATHOLIC LEADERS SAY

Admin 07:23 Extreme

A SPOKESPERSON for the Vatican (Roman Catholic) has officially announced that the second coming of Jesus, the only son of the God, may not happen now after all, but urged followers to still continue with their faith, regardless of the news. Cardinal Giorgio Salvadore told WWN that this years 1,981st anniversary is to be the Vatican’s last in regards to waiting for the Lord to return to Earth.

“We just feel Jesus is not coming back by the looks of it.” he said. “It’s been ages like. He’s probably flat out doing other really good things for people somewhere else.”

Nearly two thousand years ago, Jesus promised his disciples that he would come again in chapter John 14:1-3 of the bible: “There are many homes up where my Father lives, and I am going to prepare them for your coming. When everything is ready, then I will come and get you, so that you can always be with Me where I am. If this weren’t so, I would tell you plainly” The Vatican defended Jesus’ broken promise, claiming “he was probably drinking wine” at the time when he made the comments.

“Having the ability to turn water into wine had its ups and its downs.” added Cardinal Salvadore. “We all make promises we can’t keep when we’re drunk. Jesus was no different.”

The church said it will now focus attentions on rebuilding its reputation around the world, but will keep an optimistic mind for the savior’s second coming.

WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. – Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks, the former Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth who has spent decades bringing spiritual insight to the public conversation through mass media, popular lectures and more than two dozen books, has been awarded the 2016 Templeton Prize.

Rabbi Sacks, 67, first gained attention by leading what many consider the revitalization of Britain's Jewish community during his service as Chief Rabbi from 1991 to 2013, a feat he accomplished in the face of dwindling congregations and growing secularization across Europe. During his tenure he catalyzed a network of organizations that introduced a Jewish focus in areas including business, women's issues and education, and urged British Jewry to turn outward to share the ethics of their faith with the broader community.
Central to his message is appreciation and respect of all faiths, with an emphasis that recognizing the values of each is the only path to effectively combat the global rise of violence and terrorism.

In his most recent book, Not in God's Name: Confronting Religious Violence, Rabbi Sacks writes: "Too often in the history of religion, people have killed in the name of the God of life, waged war in the name of the God of peace, hated in the name of the God of love and practiced cruelty in the name of the God of compassion. When this happens, God speaks, sometimes in a still, small voice almost inaudible beneath the clamor of those claiming to speak on his behalf. What he says at such times is: ‘Not in My Name.'"

SORTIR POUR « ETANCHER LA SOIF DES AUTRES»

Mois d’août ! Mois consacré au Coeur Immaculé de Marie

http://www.mariereine.com/mois-daout-mois-consacre-au-coeur-immacule-de-marie/
