PRESIDENT OBAMA TO MEET POPE FRANCIS MARCH 27th

Part of a European Trip that Includes the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy Washington, D.C., January 21, 2014 (Zenit.org

In a Jan. 21 statement, the White House said the President “looks forward to discussing with Pope Francis their shared commitment to fighting poverty and growing inequality.”

The Vatican also confirmed the meeting.

While in Rome, he will also meet with Italy's President Napolitano and Prime Minister Letta.

President Obama and the First Lady last visited the apostolic palace in July 2009 when they were received by Pope Benedict XVI.

The March visit follows a positive meeting between US Secretary of State John Kerry and Vatican Secretary of State Pietro Parolin Jan. 14.

The two officials found plenty of COMMON GROUND, especially concerning the Middle East, although major differences between the Church and the Obama administration remain, most notably regarding life issues and health care reform.

The President's audience with the Holy Father will follow his attendance at a Nuclear Security Summit in the Netherlands and a U.S.-EU Summit with presidents of the European Council and the European Commission in Belgium - his first visit to the EU institutions.

Contact: Jeremy Burton, Oral Roberts University, 918-495-7337

JERUSALEM, Jan. 15, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- Empowered21 held the opening session of its Global Council meeting with leaders from around the world at the David Citadel Hotel in Jerusalem the evening of January 14, 2014. William Wilson, global co-chair for Empowered21 and president of Oral Roberts University laid out the vision for Empowered21 and set the stage for the Global Congress to be held in Jerusalem May 2015. George Wood, general superintendent for the Assemblies of God USA and the chairman of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship was unanimously affirmed by the global council as the new global co-chair --replacing Jack Hayford, chancellor of Kings College. Hayford will move to be an honorary member of the Global Council. Wilson also announced the appointment of Ossie Mills, Executive Vice President for University Advancement at Oral Roberts University, as the Global Director of Empowered21.

"Being selected to serve this esteemed group is a humbling honor," said Wood. "I have committed my life to reaching more people with the salvation message of Jesus Christ and the full power of His Spirit. This new leadership opportunity is exciting for me because we are all working toward this same end as a world conclave of ministry leaders. I pray that God continues to give us wisdom of how to impart the full power of the Holy Spirit to the world and through new generations."

"I am more energized than ever with the future of the Spirit-empowered movement around the world through Empowered21. The entire Global Council is deeply thankful for the work of Dr. Hayford, who is a father to the movement all over the globe.  Dr. Wood is a wonderful choice to fill the global co-chair position with his international leadership and impeccable integrity," said Wilson. "Ossie Mills is also a great addition to the E21 leadership team as we gear up for this unprecedented conference in Jerusalem in May of 2015. His executive leadership experience and global connections will serve us well."

Wood was elected chief executive officer of the Assemblies of God at the 52nd General Council in August, 2007. In February of 2011 he was selected as the chairman of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship, which represents 66 million believers worldwide and is made up of over 150 fellowships. As general superintendent of the Assemblies of God, USA, part of the largest Pentecostal denomination in the world, he is a member of the denomination’s Executive Leadership Team and Executive Presbytery. The church has over 12,700 congregations in the United States with over three million members and adherents.

Prior to his present position, Wood served the church as its general secretary for 14 years. He was assistant superintendent of the Southern California District from 1988-93. Wood pastored Newport-Mesa Christian Center in Costa Mesa, California, for 17 years. Sermons by Wood may be heard at www.georgeowood.com, more information on the Assemblies of God USA at www.ag.org, and more information World Assemblies of God Fellowship at www.worldagfellowship.org.

"I am honored to serve this important movement which has become very important to the vibrancy of the Spirit-empowered community," said Mills. "The Global Congress in Jerusalem in 2015 is a large undertaking but we serve a massive God. We believe that this event will be a stepping stone for the continued explosion of the work of the Holy Spirit around the world."

Mills will serve the regional cabinets and provide leadership to ensuring a successful global congress with thousand of Christians anticipated to band together in the Holy Land for prayer, worship and teaching. The congress is scheduled for May 19-24, 2015.

Mills has decades of experience in media, management, communications and distribution of for-profit and nonprofit organizations. He has been engaged in leadership roles in television (most recently as an executive vice president at Inspiration Networks), production, marketing, interactive communications, commerce and executive management.

The global council began the meeting with a devotional from Wayne Hilsden from King of Kings Community in Jerusalem and worship led by the churches praise team in English and Hebrew. The opening session concluded with reports from the success of the twelve regional cabinets in promoting the power of the Holy Spirit around the globe. The council meetings were scheduled to continue with numerous events including a local pastors luncheon, excursions to the upper room and the garden tomb, a banquet with government officials along with other business of the council

SPIRITUAL TRAP

EMPOWERED21 FINALIZES PLAN FOR GLOBAL CONGRESS TO BE HELD MAY 20-25, 2015

Contact: Jeremy Burton, Oral Roberts University, 918-495-7337

JERUSALEM, Jan. 23, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- Spirit-empowered Christian leaders from around the world converged on Jerusalem last week, in part, to discuss the upcoming global congress to be held in May 2015 in Jerusalem. Exciting plans unfolded for teaching, praise and prayer as thousands of Christians are expected to descend on the region May 20-25, 2015. Main sessions will be held in the NEW JERUSALEM ARENA, which is slated to open in the fall of this year.

"This global congress will be a pivotal event for the future of the Spirit-empowered movement from around the globe," said William Wilson, global co-chair for Empowered21 and president of Oral Roberts University. "Jerusalem 2015 will be a moving experience as thousands of Christians from around the world join together to ask for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit."

This historic meeting will begin with a grand opening celebration in the Jerusalem Arena on Wednesday, May 20, 2015. The next day will feature general sessions and focused tracks including: prayer and intercession, discipleship task force, next gen youth leaders, pastoral leadership, scholars consultation, prophetic themes, missions/global evangelism, the land of Pentecost, signs/wonders/healing, marketplace and church planting, and the book of Acts.

On Friday, May 22, an outdoor worship event will be held in Manger Square in Bethlehem. This will be a time of praise, prayer and preaching focused on the coming of Jesus in Bethlehem.

There will be a special service on Saturday, May 23, at the Jordan River at the spot where it is believed that Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. This part of the river also narrowly divides the nations of Israel and Jordan. Christians will gather on both sides of the river to pray and worship God together in unity.

Also, on this day and other points in the week, conference attendees will spread out to bless the land in an outreach called "Hope in the Holy Land." Attendees will work on a variety of service projects including: blood drives, cleaning neighborhoods, feeding the poor and serving at community centers to show love and appreciation to the Holy Land.

Sunday, May 24, attendees will spend the entire day in continuous worship and prayer at several points around the city of Jerusalem including the King of Kings Community.

The Global Congress will end Sunday night in a full throttle Pentecost celebration at the Jerusalem Arena. Believers from around the world will unite to ask for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit to reach the ends of the Earth. This event is the celebration of Shavuot, occurring the same day as Pentecost Sunday on the western calendar.

The Empowered21 Global Congress, May 20-25, 2015, is a call to all believers from around the world to celebrate Pentecost in the land of Pentecost. Individuals can register online at www.jerusalem2015.com. Groups will get an 11th person free for every 10 people registered. Church groups of 10 or more can get special rates by emailing E21@sareltours.com.

Also, Sar-El Tours is a preferred provider for pre and post-congress tours. More information can be found at www.sareltours.com.

"CHRISTIAN" OCCULT SYMBOLS

To understand what's the global agenda behind Empowered21, please read this article

Warning: These article contains various occult Images and Information. Please understand this it to prove or warn about very serious issues—and is not intended to promote or approve of such wickedness.
Please note: Research into the Hebrew Roots & Messianic movements constitutes research into Judaism as well as the occult. We fully respect each persons right to believe or utilize what resources they choose. We however, see a clear distinction in believing the Messiah has come versus utilizing resources which still await His coming. That is how and why we must evaluate all to Christ and the New Testament as well as the Tenach. We do not wish to edit or criticize Judaism, but recognize it as distinct from our Christian beliefs, just as many in Judaism also see a distinction and separateness from our beliefs, and we jointly have mutual respect for our differences and each other.

Ephesians 5:11
"Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them."

Reprove: "...find fault with; blame...reprove, rebuke=criticize or blame someone for a fault. Reprove suggests expressing disapproval or blame directly to the person at fault...with the purpose or hope of correcting the fault..." [Dictionary of Canadian English]

Over one third of Messianic congregations belong to the Assemblies of God. The Assemblies of God has 30 million members worldwide and is the largest Pentecostal Fellowship in the world. The name was changed to World Assemblies of God Fellowship in 1993 signifying the global unification of the AOG. http://2000.agcongress.org/01_abot/abt_agfellowship.html

The AOG have been members of the National Association of Evangelicals since 1942.

Probably the most famous, ecumenical, Charismatic and Assemblies of God ministers that people like Jewel van der Merwe, Bill Randles, Jacob Prasch and Philip Powell are denominationally aligned with are Steve Hill and Paul (David) Yonggi Cho. Dr. Cho is at the top of the AOG hierarchy and has been Executive Committee Chairman of World A/G Fellowship since 1992.[http://2000.agcongress.org/]

Cho will be leading the sessions of the Third Triennial World Assemblies of God Congress immediately preceding 2000 Celebration on August 7 and 8.

Christian Witness Ministries >http://www.christian-witness.org/ > is the web site of Philip Powell, former National General Secretary of the Assemblies of God in Australia (from 1989 to 1992) and former Editor of the Australian Evangel, the official AOG monthly magazine. Philip Powell's ministry, CWM, includes the bi-monthly journals that he publishes entitled "Contending Earnestly For The Faith" (CETF) and "Vanguard." In order to have been the National General Secretary of the AOG of Australia, Philip Powell would be quite aware of AOG meetings and support of Dr. Cho, his ecumenicity and the goals of the World Assemblies of God which all AOG belong to, and which we must conclude, support.

Philip Powell travels extensively with Jacob Prasch and is promoting and endorsing Prasch and his theology from his website. Philip is promoting Jacob with such statements as,  " Holds credentials as a minister with the Full Gospel Fellowship of Churches." See:

In a previous mention of this, we stated, "Jacob Prasch, calls himself a "conservative Pentecostal minister with the Full Gospel Fellowship of Churches.”  Though queried several times, Jacob has not answered nor clarified whether that Full Gospel Fellowship is the same as Full Gospel Fellowship of Churches and Ministers International. [http://www.fgfcmi.org/about.html]

See: Jacob Prasch: A Closer Look; Update: Jacob Prasch and Moriel Revisited

The late Reverend Gordon Lindsay and a group of men founded the Fellowship in 1962. According to information on their Upcoming FGFCMI Conference in July, 2000 called “Alive, Anointed and Ablaze” speakers  included Jim Baker and Rev. Loren Cunningham, Founder of YWAM and other ecumenical people and organizations. [http://www.fgfcmi.org/2000conference.html]

If Jacob Prasch is holding credentials with this group, he is openly ecumenical and supporting the ecumenical movement. Those who support him are either unaware of these issues or are fully supportive and in agreement with this agenda.

Update: See Jacob Prasch & Moriel Revisited

Steve Hill comes out of Brownsville, an Assembly of God church. In his recent "Steve Hill Awake America" meetings, Charles Brewster was introduced. He heads up the Honor Bound Men's Ministry for the AOG. http://ag.org/ag-news/single_item.cfm?root=5453

In  researching it further, it is an outgrowth/integral part of Promise Keepers and the HB council is responsible for overseeing ALL men's programs in the church [pretty comprehensive]. A private correspondence regarding the introduction of Mr. Brewster at these meetings was that "...Mr. Brewster had formerly headed up the West Coast section for the Secret Service.... But that God had a different plan!" 1

This writer has mentioned the influence of Dr. Cho in “EJECT:Ecumenical Jews, Evangelicals, Charismatics & Catholics Together” and “Dark Angels” Dr. Cho, who said God changed his name, is “senior pastor of Yoido Full Gospel Church, the largest church in the world… in Seoul, Korea…comprised of over 760,000 members….Founder of international Bible colleges in Los Angeles, Moscow, and Tokyo…served numerous international and Korean boards and committees, such as International Women Aglow and Charismatic Bible Ministries…The author of more than 100 books, Dr. Cho received in 1985 the "Gold Medallion Book Award" from the Evangelical Christian Publisher's Association for his work, "Prayer – Key to Revival."

He also has received two National Religious Broadcaster's awards for his television ministry…Dr. Cho, a graduate of Full Gospel Bible College and Civil University (both of Seoul), received honorary doctorates from Bethany Bible College, Scotts Valley, Calif.; California Graduate School of Theology, Glendale, Calif.; Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Okla.; and Regent University, Virginia Beach, Va.” [Bolding added] 2

Jacob Prasch of Moriel declares in his February 2000 Newsletter: “ It is rather what the symbol means in a given historical setting and cultural context that determines if it is evil or not.” 3.

He’s absolutely correct!! Let us look at today’s ‘historic and cultural’ use of triskeles, the swastika, the cross—a pagan symbol, which has not meant the finished work of Christ on the cross, which information we also noted in Part IX Talismans & Masters of the Name. We’ll also look at the six-pointed star commonly known as a hexagram in the occult—which Mr. Prasch would have us embrace as good.

Dr Cathy Burns reveals that the symbol, which Dr. Yonggi Cho uses for his Logo, is the occult triskele.
Fig 1. Cho's Logo

Citation:

"I think it is interesting to note that Paul (David) Yonggi Cho, a former Buddhist who is now supposedly a Christian, is pastor of the world's largest church with about 800,000 members. His church in Seoul, Korea, the Yoido Full Gospel Church, belongs to the Assemblies of God conference. The logo he uses is the triskele …As a former Buddhist, I'm fairly sure he would be quite aware of the symbol he is using."  4

From ‘Masonic and Occult Symbols Illustrated’ are these examples of the triskele.
Figure 2 Triskele
 Figure 3  Triskele

This triskele symbol in Fig. 4 ."is used to exorcise evil spirits.” It is strikingly similar to Fig. 2 and also the Logo found on the New King James Bible (© 1979, 1980,1982), published by Thomas Nelson Publishers, not to be confused with TAN Publishers which was started by Thomas A. Nelson in 1967 but it is not related or affiliated with Thomas Nelson Publishers. TAN's Thomas A. Nelson is a devout Catholic.

Triskeles are of pagan and occult origins and are connected to swastikas, reincarnation, magic and the yin-yang.

“…the triskele (or triskelion) is one symbol that appears in many logos today… "The triskelion (Greek for three legs) is a symbol of the sun intended to express motion. A similar device, with four legs, called a tetraskelion, is a modification of the swastika” 1 Like the swastika, it is considered to be a good luck symbol.2 "

“…An occult organization sells a triskelion and serpent pendant. They brag: "Double magic! Designs on both side (sic) of this unusually attractive pendant. One side bears the three-legged triskeles symbolizing rising, zenith, setting. On the other [side the] serpent portrays strength, divine power, infinite wisdom, eternity."3 Another catalog tells us that the "'legs' represent birth, death, and rebirth."4 Of course, this is a reference to REINCARNATION.”

“We must remember that since the triskele is "a Celtic version of the Yin-Yang symbol of life,"5 and a modification of the swastika,6 …”

“A New Age organization sells a Celtic Goddess Pin. It is described like this: "Symbols of the triskele (the sea, good luck) and cauldron (abundance, inspiration) celebrate Cerridwen: Celtic goddess of transformation, who offers guidance and spiritual renewal at crucial junctures in the lives of her devotees. In Welsh mythology, she guarded the cauldron of inspiration and was the muse of the bards." "Cerridwen is the goddess of wisdom and witchcraft..." [Emphasis in the original]  6
Hexagrams
1 Thessalonians 5:21-22
"Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Abstain from all appearance of evil."

Symbols have been discussed in depth in the articles The Kabbalah, and it's related articles and Taking the Name, Mark & Number. However, we see most Messianic and Hebrew Roots groups are using the six-pointed star, and many other Christians are embracing it to show "support" of Zionism. Jews FOR Jesus uses the symbol as part of their name in their Newsletters, the star replacing the 'O' in FOR. What many fail to realize is that the 7 candle menorah is Israel's actual official symbol, and it is a God-given object.

International headquarters for the Latter Rain movement is at Sharon Children's Home & Schools in North Battleford, Sask. Canada. Their Newsletter, The Sharon Star, carries the solid black, six-pointed star as their Logo. People like Jacob Prasch of Moriel, who sports the six-pointed star throughout his web site, would have us believe in his February 2000 Newsletter that, “...In fact in Judaism, it is known as ‘The Shield of David’ or Magen David and is not seen as a star. Its rabbinic interpretation is the configuration of the 12 tribes around The holy Ark sojourning through the wilderness... It is a 5 star Pentegram that is a satanic emblem, not a six pointed Star of David…” 7

Perhaps, Jacob Prasch missed reading Jewish sources about the Magen David, although his claim is impeccable scholarship. According to the Encyclopaedia Judaica’s article, Magen David, this hexagram symbol is known under various names: “Hebrew…Shield of David…hexagram or six-pointed star.” 8.

Despite Jacob Prasch’s assertions that only the pentagram is evil, in this Jewish article, the six-pointed star or hexagram is mentioned many times and acknowledged as being a magical symbol:

“In Arab sources the hexagram…was widely used under the designation “seal of Solomon,” a term which was also taken over by many Jewish groups…It is not clear in which period the hexagram was engraved on the seal or ring of Solomon, mentioned in the Talmud (Git.68a-b) as a sign of his dominion over the demons instead of the name of God, which originally appeared…In Arabic magic the “seal of Solomon” was widely used, but at first it’s use in Jewish circles was restricted to relatively rare cases. Even then, the hexagram and pentagram were easily interchangeable and the name was applied to both figures.” 7 [bolding added]

“Between 1300 and 1700 the two terms shield of David and seal of Solomon, are used indiscriminately, predominately in magical texts…” 9

Jacob's teaching that the "...rabbinic interpretation is the configuration of the 12 tribes..." is merely echoing people like James Trimm and their promotion of the Lost Tribes.  According to former Satanist, Bill Schnoebelen,  “a hexagram must be present to call forth a demon,” and “sorcerers consider it a very powerful tool to invoke Satan…” 10

Below is a description of “The Great Sign,” on the web site, “Welcome to the Mission of Maitreya “Eternal Divine Path” with the theme, ‘One World, One Humanity, Under One God,’ meaning himself. Benjamin Crème supports this particular ‘Maitreya’ as the ‘Christ’.   Another Maitreya wrote the book ‘The Gospel of Peace” and came to Canada originally from India via Britain. His real name is Madan Handa—he thinks he’s the real thing too!

The first seal-- I-Ching/yin-yang as the center for a lotus flower with an embedded swastika. This is the same as the center seal. The I-Ching symbol is made up of six elements. The lotus flower petal represents the seventh level of "chakra" called the Soma/Sahasrara Chakra where a person allegedly becomes one with the universe. "The seventh trumpet is representative of the event when the Aquarian experiences the Soma/Sahasrara Chakra activation…
The second seal--“star of David” or hexagram.
The third seal is the cross of Christianity,
The fourth--crescent moon of Islam with an I-Ching in the middle of the pentagram, inside a circle—is a sign of god and goddess.
The fifth seal is the nine-pointed star of Baha'i.
The sixth seal is allegedly the seal of the "Elects" which is a hexagram with a rising sun embedded with a swastika.

Information on the Maitreya site explains the complete symbolism of their Logo. In their words the colors, blue, orange-red and white and other symbols partially involve the Universal Spirit:

“The three creative forces, presented by blue, orange-red and white in The Great Sign, were released the I-Ching). This movement evolved to the awakening of the Universal Spirit (the Lotus). This Universal Spirit (God) reached into the Universe (the triangle downward)... It is when this first unit consciousness (I-Ching at the bottom) reaches Pure Consciousness (Seven Seal, the last Seal), He became the First Begotten Son, and it is then that the triangle upward (Hierarchy in Heaven) appears… The Hierarchy in Heaven (the triangle upward) is formed… That is why the I-Ching (at the bottom) is the first Seal (Mystical Paths, Know Thyself). The second is the second Seal (Children Of Israel, Communities Of Light), the third Seal is Christianity (Sacrifice), the fourth Islam (Surrendering and Submission to God), the fifth Baha'i (Universalism), the sixth (you become) The Elects and the seventh Pure Consciousness (the I-Ching at the bottom changes to the image in the center, God, man again becomes in His Image… A person who is truly Surrendered and Submissive to God, has awakened his/her Spiritual understandings. By becoming a Universalist (Fifth Seal) the person becomes an Elect (Sixth Seal). It is such a people who will bring God's Kingdom on earth…Some people believe that by meditation and other spiritual practices (chanting, dancing, etc.) one can reach Pure Consciousness. This is the teaching of the present Mystical Paths on earth…That is: By awakening the Spiritual Forces, one may reach Pure Consciousness. But the fastest way is to follow the Eternal Divine Path (The Great Sign)!” 11

The importance of the six-pointed Star of David in occult symbolism and ritual cannot be overstated. The six-pointed star has been identified by the New Age as the Star of Bethlehem which announces the Advent of Christ. "The Star is the symbol of the perfect life, the perfect balance, of the Christ-man. The six-pointed star is the Star of Bethlehem, which again means the Star of the Son of man." [GaiaMind >

Taking the Mark, the Number & the Name and similar articles present a reasonable case for its use by the Antichrist to brand his disciples in a Luciferic initiation.

Jacob Prasch has as the Moriel Logo, the hexagram of two interlaced triangles. This is also found on many other sites such as Calvary Chapel Jerusalem and on the Brochure for Messiah’99. Jacob should very well know that the hexagram is evil—today and yesterday. By his own testimony he “…believed that the occult had to be investigated scientifically….called “New Age” philosophies that I had been interested in — Nostradamus, or the Tibetan Book of the Dead, or the Bhagavad-Gita, and so on… I had many occult experiences, including coming in contact with the demonic. I had the power to tell a total stranger, someone I had just met for the first time, what zodiac sign they had been born under. I used to go to a witch to have my tarot cards read. (Her husband and I did drug deals.)… I had an out of body experience…” 13

Mr. Prasch promotes Let Us Reason, which is Mike Oppenheimer’s site. Mike could be called an expert on the occult, having been involved in it for over 20 years.  In his testimony we find he was involved in yoga, meditation and used psychedelic drugs religiously. He experimented with various religions and the occult believing all had “truths of the one true religion, just as Rosicrucianism teaches they are all petals on a flower.” He studied the ancient masters of the east, Buddhism, Zen and believed and studied the writings of ‘Ascended masters,’ was involved with UFO’s and channelled messages. He and his girlfriend Kathy became involved in the I Am movement, which is the Saint Germaine Society of the Ballards. He learned about “earths past history on Lemuria and Atlantis,” with both believing they were becoming enlightened. They called on “angels” and “powers unknown to them” and “by decreeing and using the violet consuming flame to eradicate past life karma, they desired to become servants for the New Age.” Kathy was also practicing affirmations, mantras, studying herbology, polarity therapy, kinesiology and learning about the spiritual energies of the body. In other words, they are very aware of the occult and the symbolism involved. 14   For More on these issues  See: Occult Path

You cannot research or be involved in the occult or eastern religions without seeing the hexagram and other symbols!

When two triangles are interlaced in the occult, “it represents the union of the active and passive forces of nature; it represents the male and female elements.” 15   Notice that the Theosophical Society carries the interlaced triangle plus all the symbolism in the Maitreya Logo.

"In The Gods of India…The two complimentary principles, the linga and the yoni, are graphically represented by the fiery triangle with the upward apex and the watery triangle with downward apex. When then triangles penetrate one another to form the hexagram, this is taken to show the state of manifestation. When they part the universe dissolves.”    16    [Linga & yoni= male & female sexual parts; bolding added]

A former witch reveals: “When the male triangle penetrates the female triangle it produces the six-pointed crest of Solomon or hexagram, the most wicked symbol in witchcraft.”…”… also used for communication with the dead…REINCARNATION.” 17

Galatians 5:19-21 states:

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”

A.B.

Homélie du pape François

« Le Christ, est-il divisé ? » (1 Co 1, 13).

-Manly P. Hall, Secret Teachings of All Ages, (Enseignements secrets de tous les temps)

Novus Ordo Seclorum = New Order for the Ages Ordo Seclorum = Nouvel Ordre Mondial

A l´intérieur du globe d´or.

L´objet " Total Recall ".

Centre Khan Entertainment Shatyry.

JERUSALEM CONFERENCE EXPLORES OPTIONS FOR PEACE AND STABILITY

"For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness."
1 Thessalonians 5:3-5

By Dr. Nurit Hirschfeld, Director, Jerusalem Forum for Interfaith and Cooperation among Religions
Sunday, December 22, 2013
Jerusalem, Israel - UPF held an international conference in Jerusalem Dec. 19-22, 2013 on the topic of Interreligious and International Relations in the Middle East: Toward PEACE and STABILITY. On the backdrop of sunny winter days that followed a blizzard, some 45 scholars, religious leaders, diplomats, geopolitical experts and NGO activists from five continents and 22 countries converged in search for optional solutions to the conflict in the Middle East. The discussions dealt with the current situation in the Middle East from broad perspectives and diverse angles.

The Middle East Peace Initiative (MEPI) supports PEACE efforts in the region through open DIALOGUES, religious pilgrimages and PEACE tourism in Israel, Palestine and Jordan, thus offering both moral and economic support. Dr. Chang Shik Yang, Chairman of Universal Peace Federation International, who led numerous MEPI delegations, noted that the conference marked the tenth anniversary of the Middle East Peace Initiative of UPF in Israel and Palestine, during which more than 50 international delegations visited Israel and Palestine. He expressed his deepest hope that UPF and MEPI can make a significant contribution to bring PEACE to the Holy Land: "I have the greatest love and respect for all my Jewish, Christian and Muslim brothers and sisters. I want to see the day when we can live together in PEACE, HARMONY and COOPERATION, like one family; one family under God."

Dr. Thomas Walsh, president of UPF International, underscored the need for increased coordination among experts in international relations with experts in interreligious relations. Professor Eliezer Glaubach, a former elected member of the City Council of Jerusalem, expressed his gratitude as a citizen of Jerusalem for this initiative which brought to Jerusalem thousands of Ambassadors for Peace even in times of international isolation.

The Middle East conflict

Mr. Aamir Javed Sheikh from Norway, a former member of the Oslo parliament, gave a presentation about the political and diplomatic efforts that have been done to bring an end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the past last two decades. Hon. Nadia Hilou, a former member of the Israeli parliament, pointed out that even though 20 years have passed since the Oslo Accord, the principles of the peace agreements that were signed are still the basis for every negotiation, treaty and peace initiative that has taken place ever since. She noted that this agreement has been only partially fulfilled, since many unresolved issues remain. Interestingly, the unfulfilled aspects of the agreements were not related to issues of security and armed forces but rather to aspects of soft power domain: mistrust and suspicion, lack of sympathy and charged relations.

Dr. Willem Frederick van Eekelen, a member of the Netherlands Advisory Commission on European Integration, expressed his concern that the PEACE PROCESS is off track and voiced his fear that if something is not done soon to bring about a PEACE PLAN that both sides accept, the worst might happen and peace might be set back permanently.

Dr. Eldad J. Pardo from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem brought to the discussion a broad viewpoint regarding key aspects that need to be considered when addressing the conflict in the Middle East. He focused on four main points: 1) The role of Iran in fomenting instability in the Middle East, particularly in Syria and Iraq, and the danger posed by its ballistic missiles and nuclear project; 2) the perceived untrustworthiness of the US among her chief Middle Eastern allies; 3) the variety of types among the political entities in the Middle East; and 4) the challenge of education for peace in the region.

According to Dr. Pardo, the common denominator of the four areas is the religious dimension, a sine qua non in Middle Eastern politics. As a revolutionary religious country, Iran tries to force its hegemony over the largely Sunni Arab world unleashing wars and conflicts continuously. The US tries to find a way to collaborate with political Islam but fails to find the way to support the moderates. It did not support Iranian Muslim reformers in 2009, but allowed the anti-democratic Muslim Brotherhood to take over Egypt. Saudi Arabia, dismayed by the US abandonment of the pro-democracy groups in Egypt and support for Iran and Hezbollah in their aggressive stance vis a vis against the Syrian people, plays a problematic role in supporting Sunni militants.

"The Middle East, being a patchwork of ethnic and religious groups must," said Dr. Pardo, "find its own polities – tribal, confessional and national – but should also respect both religion and basic human rights
. The chief among them is the right to be alive."

Finally, Dr. Pardo pointed out that education that perpetuates hostility is unfortunately widespread across the Middle East, not surprisingly leading to atrocities and bloodshed against helpless "others." Such education and accompanying attitudes in the school systems remain cardinal stumbling blocks on the ROAD TO PEACE.

Based on his analysis of the situation, Dr. Pardo also suggested that a solution be sought on a regional basis, with much emphasis on the role of religion – mainly Islam, but also with respect for and involvement of the entire region's religions. A Shami – Levantine – approach should be implemented, beginning with education for peace and love, and with much emphasis on the shared religious values and cultural heritage of the Shami peoples, confessions and ethnic groups. Heavy-duty security measures should accompany the lengthy educational and religious processes, which could guarantee a solid change for the better.

A suggestion for support from another angle was brought up by Prof. Quan Yi Zhang from Zhejiang Wanli University International Politics Department in the People’s Republic of China. Prof. Zhang suggested that China – as a country of a non-Abrahamic faith – can be a mediator and supporter in the Middle East conflict, since it has no burden from past connections with the region.

The need for “soft power”

When talking about areas of conflict and war, issues such as armed forces and politics are of great concern. Understanding the necessity for conventional discussions about hard power while realizing that the hard-power approach by itself cannot bring conflicts to an end, UPF is focusing on soft power approaches to PEACE.

Prof. Rafig Y. Aliyev, Director of IRSHAD Center of Islamic Studies in Azerbaijan, dedicated his presentation to the relationships among a governance system (power), civil society and religion. He argued that the governance system, civil society and religion are one integrated organism and should be treated and researched as such, not separately as has been done traditionally. One should consider their relationship in terms of interdependence and inter-cooperation. "Power, society and religion have never been truly hostile to one another," said Prof. Aliyev, "On the contrary, their deep, invisible but evident relations existed over the centuries and continue to exist." Without organic relations, the power structures, which are founded on society, would have collapsed. Society in turn gets the energy and strength necessary for its survival and maintenance from the ethical principles of religion.

According to Prof. Aliyev, the role of religion is as important as the role of the governance system and the civil society: "Without the inner self-control system which is peculiar to religion, no society with any chosen form of government would have endured and maintained a balance of power."

A different perspective and another aspect of soft power were added by Fr. Eliseo Mercado, convener of the National Peace Council in the Philippines. His argument was based on global warming and on the danger it poses to every human being around the world: "The great meltdown of the glaciers threatens the survival of the planet. No ifs and no buts. We are now all considered ‘endangered species’ threatened either by inundation or by hunger. At stake is not individual lives or single or group of nations but the entire planet! It calls for a new relationship – a new solidarity for all peoples across political and ideological boundaries, across cultures and religions." Fr. Mercado suggested uniting the populations on the globe through activities and concerns for nature. Through working together and focusing on a common goal, enmities are forgotten and friendships can arise.

The crisis in Syria

One session in the conference was dedicated to the current crisis in Syria. UPF convened an important consultation on the crisis in Syria in Amman, Jordan, in October 2013, and produced the UPF "Amman Interfaith Statement" encouraging faith leaders to raise their voices in unison in calling for a resolution of the crisis. The speakers in this session built on the work accomplished in Jordan earlier this year and offered their thoughts on Geneva II and the way to resolve the crisis in Syria.

Most of the speakers proposed paths to bring the crisis to an end using the tools of soft power. Prof Quan Yi Zhang recommend setting up three committees, being composed of religious leaders, political elites and state officials, to handle conflicts from the grassroots, bureaucratic and system levels. He also suggested that UPF, as a non-governmental organization promoting INTERFAITH UNDERSTANDING and COOPERATION, can play a unique role as a go-between in such an initiative.

Dr. Leo Gabriel, president of the Institute for Intercultural Research and Cooperation in Austria, said that a military solution for the Syrian conflict is neither possible nor desirable. His initiative is to convene a Conference of Civil Society on Syria to be held outside Syria, in Vienna. The participants of such a conference would be leading figures and activists close to the civilian population and not representatives of the hierarchies of political organizations. This implies that a variety of sectors be represented at the conference, including religious confessions, educational and health-care institutions, different ethnicities (e.g., Kurds), women, workers and representatives from businesses both large and small from different parts of the country.

Ms. Patricia Raynaud Lalonde from the Institute for Prospective and Security Studies in Europe, based in France, talked about the Syrian crisis, which has sent 1,000,000 refugees to Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey, and killed so many innocent people including women and children. As a participant in the UPF Amman conference, she reported about its recommendation to organize a Track 2 conference in Geneva in parallel with Geneva II to give voice to representatives of the Syrian civil society, women and religious leaders.

Dr. Mordechai Kedar from the Department of Arabic Literature in Bar Ilan University, Israel, claimed that in order to solve the crisis in Syria the root problem should be solved: "Much of the Middle East is made up of artificially constructed nation states. In many nations, such as Syria, there are multiple tribal and ethnic groups that would prefer to live independently rather than as one country under one regime." This pattern is not unique to the Middle East and one can observe it in other places around the world such as in the former Yugoslavia, separatist factions in Spain, Canada, the UK, Sudan, etc." According to Dr. Kedar, peace requires allowing various ethnic and religious groups to form their own nation states, perhaps along the lines of the United Arab Emirates or the Yugoslavia model. The illegitimate borders were drawn by colonial powers, and he suggested that they should to be erased and replaced by new borders that will honor the culture of the local ethnic, tribal, religious and sectarian groups.

Rev. Dr. William A. McComish from Switzerland, president of the Geneva Spiritual Appeal, noted a similarity between the Vietnam War and the war in Syria. The Vietnam War was a war between capitalist world and communist world, while the war in Syria is a surrogate war between Shia and Sunni Islam. Dr. McComish expressed his opinion about the importance of having a “track II” conference in Geneva in parallel to Geneva II. One its important aims would be the introduction of religious and spiritual discussions into what is going to be yet another political debate, a very masculine political debate. In his view, the “track II” conferences in Geneva should be a religious and spiritual conference that brings in other people, including women and religious people, who will not be part of the discussions between the big powers at Geneva.

The soft power of interfaith

On Mt. Scopus, with its vistas of mosques, churches and the holy Jewish places in the old city of Jerusalem, there was no more appropriate place than this for interfaith discussions and exploring the potential for interreligious cooperation. While the roots of the conflict in the land of Israel and Palestine are complex and labyrinthine, one can only wonder what might be possible if relations among Jews, Christians and Muslims were vastly improved. Participants offered their wisdom on the relevance of interfaith cooperation for peace in Israel and Palestine.

Religion is an immanent part of the conflict; therefore, it is an immanent part of the solution.

Mr. George E. Stephan, the regional internal auditor of the Middle East Council of Churches Department of Services to Palestinian Refugees, based his appeal for peace on Christian values: "From a small grotto in Bethlehem a message of love, hope, justice and peace was spread all over the world. For us Christians, the Infant baby is the Prince of Peace and His message is one of reaching out with love, compassion, understanding and forgiveness. Indeed the need for a resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is a big challenge. And yet it the responsibility of each and every one of us to make peace through acknowledging the other and through seeing his story, his fear and his hope.… Despite injustices, we carry the message of Jesus Christ in our hearts, to overcome voices of hatred and despair. Despite the hardships we are facing, we have the obligation to look into the future with hope and with open eyes."

Dr. McComish from Switzerland reported about the Geneva Spiritual Appeal. The document included a refusal to invoke a religious or spiritual power to justify violence, discrimination and exclusion, and a refusal to exploit or dominate others by means of strength, intellectual capacity or spiritual persuasion, wealth or social status. It was signed in Geneva on United Nations Day in 1999 by religious leaders of many religions and people from civil society. This text, according to Dr. McComish, has become more important as years go on.

Rabbi Michael Melchior, a former Minister for Social Affairs and Diaspora in the Israeli government, talked about his involvement in the January 2002 conference in Alexandria, Egypt where, in the midst of the second Intifada, Jewish, Christian and Muslim religious leaders gathered in a common interreligious effort for peace. They signed a declaration in which they called for putting an end to any kind of incitement and bloodshed in the name of religion.

Rabbi Melchior noted that traditional diplomacy, despite the good will of many from around the world, has failed to bring peace to the Middle East. The basic agreement has been on the table for a long time, and the will exists from both sides to reach a peaceful solution. "Why then," he asked, "are we not getting there? We must ask ourselves what went wrong in all the previous attempts." According to Melchior the concept has been wrong, since the efforts were made to attain a secular peace. All attempts excluded the religious element in hope they would disappear. But they didn't disappear and toppled down all peace efforts. He called for a religious peace and believes it would be successful because it is inclusive and not exclusive. It stems from the belief in one God and is built upon values and justice, and not upon interests. "Religious peace can support the political peace," he said.
Rabbi Melchior concluded his speech with an optimistic statement of belief that we are at a significant turning point. There are Israelis and Palestinians, Jews, Muslims and Christians who are ready to meet at the table to work towards a solution. Meetings such as this conference are important in that regard.

Rev. Chang Shik Yang,Chairman of the Universal Peace Federation International, talked about the vision of UPF founder, Father Sun Myung Moon, who believed sincerely that the fate of the world was directly related to the unity of the Abrahamic religions. If religious division persists, then conflicts will prevail not only on the level of religious doctrines but also on the political and military levels. In other words, peace cannot be achieved on the political level until peace is achieved on the spiritual level. Thus, he believed that interfaith dialogue is absolutely needed as one of the major tools to create a stable and substantial foundation for peace.

It is not enough to teach the words of the holy scriptures; we must live according to them.

Mr. Emmanuel Chouraqui, a filmmaker from Beamlight in France, is a son of André Chouraqui, who translated the Old Testament, the New Testament and the Qur’an into French and was one of the first activists in Jerusalem in the field of interfaith understanding. Inspired by his father's legacy, Mr. Chouraqui shared his understanding that the holy scriptures ultimately convey one and the same message, which is, that humankind is one family whose members, created in the image of the Creator, should respect one another, love their neighbors as themselves, and forsake wars and violence of all kinds.

Sheik Shafayat Mohamed, principal of the Darul Uloom Islamic Institute in the US, called upon all religious people to apply their holy scriptures. "If we live according to our holy scriptures peace would be easily achieved," he claimed. "Jews and Muslims are brothers: offspring of Ishmael and Isaac. They are family members. They should naturally love and respect one another," he said and referred to Rev. Sun Myung Moon's vision of "one family under God." Dr. Rouchdy Saleh Hassan from Egypt said that he is applying this attitude in his life. He stressed the need for unity among the Abrahamic religions and indicated that when asked about his own religious preference, he is often inclined to respond: "Abrahamic."

Dr. Michael W. Jenkins, a member of the UPF’s MEPI Steering Committee, explored in depth the call to live according to the holy scriptures: scriptures teach that we should respect and love the other; external efforts are not effective if our hearts don't resonate with this value. "If I, as a Christian, go to a mosque and hug a sheikh and go to a synagogue and hug a rabbi, but come home and tell my wife that actually I don't really like this sheikh and the rabbi was not as polite to me as I expected him to be, then my external efforts would not bear meaningful fruits.”

Religions and religious leaders should challenge themselves.

Rabbi Reuven Khaskin, an educator and tour guide from Israel, mentioned that religion is often used as the main driving force of hatred, animosity and conflict. If so, "How can we, religious leaders, bring that change, and bridge the gap of animosity and mutual distrust?" he asked. His answer was that while religious leaders represent different faiths and religious traditions, all share a common understanding that humankind was created in the image of God. Rabbi Khaskin quoted the former Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the British Commonwealth Lord Jonathan Sacks: "Can I recognize God’s image in someone who is not in my image, whose language, faith, ideals, are different from mine? If I cannot, then I have made God in my image instead of allowing him to remake me in his."

Rabbi Khaskin concluded his words with a commentary on the appearance of God to Moses in the burning bush. "God could have appeared to Moses in the shape of a broad, tall tree. Instead God appeared to him in the shape of a tiny bush. Why is that so?" he asked. The answer he gave was that God wants to teach us humility. God is present when we are humble enough to see him. If we are humble enough to acceptthe other and learn to know the other, then we meet God face to face.

Rev. Hjortur Magni Johannsson, head minister of the Free Lutheran Church in Iceland, commented on his disappointment with fundamentalism and religious extremism. He sees religious triumphalism, be it Jewish, Christian or Islamic, as an expression of insecurity. Pure religion should be about peaceful communication in love and respect. Religion should be about communicating with the “other” (as the philosopher Martin Buber defined the term), those who are on the other side of the wall.

In light of the challenges of fundamentalism and fanaticism, Rev. Johannsson suggested the need for new paradigms; new ways of understanding and living out our particularities in the midst of pluralism: "We need to be inclusive not exclusive, tolerant not judgmental, preferring compassion, and mercy rather than strict righteousness legalism or harsh punishment. All of this is summed up by Father Moon´s high and beautiful ideal of: 'Living for the sake of others.'"

Rev. Johannsson challenged religious conceptions and institutions: "Perhaps this ideal will be reached by going beyond religion,” and supported this thought with words of Father Moon: "Nothing exists for its own sake. Religion, too, does not exist for its own sake but for the sake of love and peace. Once world peace is accomplished, there will be no further need for religion. The ultimate purpose of religion is to bring about the reality of a human community filled with love and peace."

He appealed to people to come to the place where they see their faith not only as a part of our security system in life but go further and connect their faith with what it means to be human. When religion is being misused we need to seek God beyond the peculiarities and divisions of religion. Only there will our gaze turn toward the mystery of God, the mystery of life, the mystery of love and the mystery of being, of being human.

Leadership and vision

Several significant issues were discussed in the two and a half days of deliberations. The first issue, leadership, was brought up in the opening session by Hon. Ran Cohen, a former minister of the Israeli government. "What makes a good leader?" Hon. Cohen asked, and then replied: “The one who uplifts his people and opens for them new and better horizons.” He cited as an example the late Nelson Mandela and lamented the lack of visionary leadership in the Middle East at this time period: "The conflict in our region is so complicated that good and visionary leaders are absolutely needed in order to bring it to a good conclusion," he said.

Hon. Bob McEwen, a former member of the US House of Representatives, responded to the question of effective leadership. He argued that an effective leadership is based on vision and ideas, and that every constructed object, such as a building, is an expression of a vision and a blueprint. Effective leadership must have a spiritual dimension that provides direction and guidance. Leadership that lacks vision and internal clarity will not be effective in achieving objectives.

The need for vision and understanding was strongly emphasized by Dr. Young Tack Yang, the regional chair of UPF-Middle East, who mentioned also the famous "I have a dream" speech by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., longing for the day when nobody is a slave anymore and everyone would be treated equally regardless of their skin color.

"Am I wrong to have a dream that Israelis and Palestinians become one family in the Middle East, or that Judaism, Christianity and Islam become one?" asked Dr. Yang. Indeed we have different ideas and opinions, and yet if we can have a dream and ideal, such as peace and happiness for all human beings, then to make this dream a reality we would have no choice but to invest in and deepen our understanding of the other. In this way this common dream would bring us closer.

Education and practical recommendations

Fr. Joseph Saghbini, the auxiliary patriarchal vicar in the Greek-Melkite Catholic Patriarchate of Jerusalem, emphasized the misuse of religious values and talked painfully about children being educated to hate and become human bombs or gun carriers. Prof. Quan Yi Zhang related to the media ethics as an issue to be considered, since the media is often being used to fuel hatred and encourage feelings of resentment and the thirst for revenge. Regarding the crucial role of education for hate in the Middle East conflict, Dr. Eldad Pardo suggested that education for peace should be a part of any peace initiative.

Dr. Nodar Sarjveladze, chair of the Foundation for the Development of Human Resources in Georgia, raised a question regarding the rarity of cooperation between NGOs, religious leaders and interfaith associations in preventing and resolving conflicts. In his understanding, such cooperation is highly needed. He sees the roots of the problem in the insufficient coverage of the topic "peace and world religions" in the educational programs and curricula in the majority of countries. "It is strange that many societies place high value on peace and religion and yet the connection between peacebuilding and religion is rarely addressed in school systems."

He suggested that students should be taught about the contribution to peacebuilding of religious values and traditions and that educational programs should include materials on religious narratives about peace and war, about the cultivation of the soul, including peace in our souls, peace in our families, peace in social groups, and peace in international relationships. "Having absorbed this information during their school years, young people will become more sensitive to religious aspects of conflict resolution, and will become more open to cooperation with religious representatives."

Dr. Sarjveladze suggested that an educational program about "peace and world religion" should be developed by UPF and its experts, submitted to the UN, and from the UN be distributed to nations around the world.

THIRD 'CHRIST AT THE CHECKPOINT CONFERENCE' TO BE HELD IN BETHLEHEM FROM MARCH 10-14, 2014

BETHLEHEM, Palestine, Feb. 10, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Bethlehem Bible College has just released the schedule for the third Christ at the Checkpoint (CATC) conference, to be held in Bethlehem from March 10-14, 2014. The conference theme, "Christ at the Checkpoint III: Your Kingdom Come," draws from the Lord's Prayer to ask how Jesus Christ would approach the Israeli-Palestinian conflict today.

CATC was first organized in 2010 by Bethlehem Bible College, held again in 2012 and continues this year with the same mission: challenging evangelicals to take responsibility in resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through Jesus' teaching on the Kingdom of God.

Topics covered will include the Palestinian Church, religious radicalism, Christian Zionism, Jesus' teachings amid conflict, the Kingdom of God, PEACEMAKING and RECONCILIATION. There will also be optional visits to the Bethlehem checkpoint every morning, as well as field trips around Bethlehem, Hebron and East Jerusalem.

Each day's schedule includes praise, worship and Bible exposition before the morning session, followed by afternoon field visits, fellowship time and small group discussions. Evening sessions include worship in both Arabic and English, followed by two speakers and several conference videos. The last day features nine workshops on topics ranging from Islam, women's issues to media, with two action groups reserved for pastors and theologians.

More than 25 speakers from Israel/Palestine and abroad will share at the conference, including Geoff Tunnicliffe, secretary general of the World Evangelical Alliance, and Joseph Cumming, who previously served as the director of the Yale University Divinity School's Reconciliation Program. Messianic Jewish leaders Evan Thomas and Daniel Juster will be present, along with Holy Land Trust director Sami Awad, Palestinian Bible Society director Nashat Filmon, and Bethlehem Bible College president Jack Sara.

As conflict and bloodshed spread hatred and animosity in the Holy Land, Christ's call for Christians to be peacemakers who stand lovingly against injustice is needed more than ever. In Sami Awad's words: "PEACE is not just negotiated agreements between politicians. Peace is the process of building trust and respect between the peoples of the land. To be able to see each other with new eyes. To be able to really understand who the 'other' is… Trust and respect are the foundations."

Thus the CATC manifesto begins with: "The Kingdom of God has come. Evangelicals must reclaim the prophetic role in BRINGING PEACE, JUSTICE AND RECONLIATION in Palestine and Israel." We invite you to join us in Bethlehem this March to pray, worship, study scripture and seek this Kingdom Come together.

You can find better than this video to know more about the 10 tribes, but the most important, is the rabbin who openly lie to his community about the name of the savior (Madhi who's supposely the name of Jesus-Christ), and the unity with muslims in mosquee. they're preparing the jewish peoples to accept the Antichrist has the messiah. Also, take a look to the masonic mural behind the rabbi.

POPE MEETS WITH AMERICAN JEWISH INSTITUT

Calls For Continued Flourishing of Judeo-Christian Relations Vatican City, February 13, 2014 (Zenit.org)

In a private audience with the American Jewish Institute, Pope Francis expressed his hope that Jewish and Christian communities continue to engage in fruitful dialogue that is ”marked by the awareness of our relationship with God.”

The Holy Father began his address by thanking the members of the delegation for their contribution to maintaining “dialogue and fraternity” between Jews and Catholics.

Reflecting on next year’s 50th Anniversary of Nostra Aetate, the Second Vatican Council declaration which refers to the Jewish people as “our elder brothers”, the Pope said the document allows for a reflection on the spiritual patrimony that unites the two faiths and the foundation of DIALOGUE.

“This foundation is theological, and not simply an expression of our desire for reciprocal respect and esteem,” he said. “Therefore, it is important that our DIALOGUE be always profoundly marked by the awareness of our relationship with God."

The Pope went on to say that serving the poor and those marginalized is another way in which Jews and Christians can cooperate to build a better world. Doing so is a “God given duty”, he told the delegation, adding that “it is a true religious obligation.”

A final way of collaboration between Jews and Christians, the Pope continued, is in transmitting to new generations the heritage of mutual knowledge and friendship. The Holy Father expressed his hope that the study of Judeo-Christian relations would flourish in seminaries and centers of lay Catholic formations.

“I am similarly hopeful that a desire for an understanding of Christianity may grow among young Rabbis and the Jewish community,” he said.

Pope Francis concluded his address by asking for the delegation’s prayers, particularly for his upcoming visit to Jerusalem.

“Accompany me, please, with your prayers, so that this pilgrimage may bring forth the fruits of communion, hope and PEACE. Shalom!” the Pope said.

CATHOLIC JUBILE

SYMPOSIUM TO CONSIDER SACROSANCTUM CONCILIUM AT 50

Vatican Congregation to Host Conversation on Liturgy Renewal Rome, February 13, 2014 (Zenit.org) Luca Marcolivio

The celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Second Vatican Council continue with a new stage: the Symposium Sacrosanctum Concilium. Gratitude for and Commitment to a Great Ecclesial Movement, organized by the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Sacraments, in collaboration with the Pontifical Lateran University.

The Symposium, which will take place next week at the Lateran athenaeum, will celebrate the 50 years of the Conciliar Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, promulgated by Pope Paul VI on Dec. 4, 1963.

“In order to speak of the liturgical renewal of Vatican II, the renewal must be situated in the ensemble of the Council itself and one must recall, to this end, that Vatican II burst forth as a new Pentecost, a spring that opened hope of new life and a fecund interior transformation, in keeping with the divine purpose,” said Cardinal Antonio Cañizares Llovera, prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Sacraments, in a message read today at the Holy See Press Office by Monsignor Juan Miguel Ferrer Grenesche, under-secretary of the same Congregation.

“To know well, to reread, to reflect and interpret faithfully this Council, in the unity and integrity of its wholeness, is an imperative task for the Church today,” continued the cardinal.

In regard to the liturgical renewal desired by the Council, Cardinal Cañizares said that it is a process that “tends to the most aware, participatory and active celebration of Christ’s paschal mystery, with the related fruits of holiness, communion and mission.”

Beginning, then, with the subject of the Liturgy, “the whole Council put itself explicitly under the light of God’s primacy and it indicated it at the same time as the sure point of orientation of the path to follow for the future,” added the Cardinal.

Archbishop Arthur Roche, secretary of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Sacraments, recalled how the subject of the liturgy through Sacrosanctum Concilium is inserted “in the great perspectives of Vatican II: to make Christian life grow more every day among the faithful, to adapt better, to the exigencies of the present time, those institutions that are subject to changes, to foster what can contribute to the union of all believers in Christ, to reinvigorate what helps to call all into the heart of the Church (cf. SC 1).”

Moreover, the 50 years of Sacrosanctum Concilium “invite also to do an examination of conscience,” stressed Archbishop Roche. From the mystery of the Church “in prayer”, the incessant call resounds to evangelization and witness, following the example of the primitive community of the Acts of the Apostles (2:42-47).”

The prelate then announced that the Symposium will be articulated with moments of prayer: the Liturgy of the Hours (Terce on Tuesday and Lauds on Thursday), Eucharistic Adoration (Thursday) and the Eucharist (Wednesday and Thursday).

Planned are the concert Voices of the Christian East on Tuesday and the exhibition Liturgical Art in the Papal Sacristy after Vatican II, which will open before the afternoon session on Wednesday.

The Symposium is addressed in particular to those in charge of the Liturgical Commissions, to centers of Theological and Pastoral Study, and to all who work in liturgy. It will end on Wednesday, February 19, with the participants’ meeting with the Pope, in the course of the General Audience.

“The hope is to be able to offer in the days of the Symposium, through listening, dialogue and common prayer, an experience of communion filled with a pleasing memory and prophetic commitment,” concluded Archbishop Roche.

A second intervention that arrived in writing was that of Monsignor Enrico Dal Covolo, Rector of the Pontifical Lateran University. In the prelate’s absence, the message was read by Philippe Chenaux, professor of the History of the Modern and Contemporary Church in the same athenaeum.

As explained by Monsignor Dal Covolo, the Symposium, from its title, expresses “gratitude,” in particular to the Conciliar Fathers that “fifty years ago, allowing themselves to be guided by the powerful breath of the Holy Spirit, gave new energy to the Holy Church of God.”

The Symposium will then reflect on “ecclesial communion,” in as much as, Romano Guardini already affirmed, “the liturgy does not say ‘I” but “we”: it is not the work of the individual but of the totality of the faithful.”

Moreover, already in the 3rdcentury, Saint Cyprian explained that “our prayer is public and communitarian and when we pray we do not pray for one alone but for all the people, because we are one with all the people.”

This is why Christians, even when they pray in solitude, do not say “My Father” but “Our Father,” noted the Rector.

CHURCH HIRE JK ROWLING TO REWRITE THE BIBLE

January 21, 2014

The latest PR coup for Pope Francis has seen him hire famous and revered children’s author JK Rowling to rewrite the Bible.

It is hoped the author, most famous for her Harry Potter series, can make it more accessible and believable for a new generation of Catholics and Christians.

While the specifics of the rewrite are not yet known, it is believed Rowling is tasked with producing a compelling tale that young Catholics and Christians can engage with. Figures such as dementors and other popular creations may take the place of less realistic Biblical creatures such as unicorns and the leviathon.

“We are very happy Miss Rowling has agreed to the rewrite, we keenly await the first draft,” a Vatican insider told WWN.

Rowling’s selection has raised some eyebrows but the decision by Pope Francis to select the wildly popular author is mainly due to commercial concerns.

“The sales of the Jesus Christ action figure have dropped by over 200% in the last 10 years, we are in need of new, compelling and toy-friendly characters…like the dinosaur in Toy Story,” a source close to the Pope told WWN.

“Our revenue streams are shrinking so the more Hollywood-esque the better,” the source concluded.

Rowling has thus far remained tight lipped on her vision for the Bible and its merry band of characters but a number of Hollywood producers are in discussions to turn it into a movie.

In the last century many Christian leaders have offered revisions on the interpretations of many of the Bible’s passages but Rowling is expected to take a more drastic approach.

“Judas is probably going to wear a leather jacket and JK is toying with the idea of a nervous twitch or even an eye-patch. Also why have one book when can have more? She is thinking of splitting it up into 9, maybe 10 books” the author’s publicist shared with WWN.

UN "PACTE COMMUN" DES RELIGIONS POUR LA PAIX

Cardinal Kasper

Ecumenism and the Eucharist

What is Cardinal Kasper’s vision and goal with ecumenism, in his capacity as former President of the Pontifical Council for Christian Unity?  In his book “Sacrament of Unity”, published in 2005, Kasper states that the ultimate goal of ecumenism is to lead to fellowship in the Eucharistamongst Catholics and Protestants.

The fact that fidelity to the truth makes it impossible in today’s situation for all Christians to meet around the one table of the Lord and take part in the one Supper of the Lord is a deep wound inflicted on the Body of the Lord. Ultimately, it is scandalous... Ecumenically speaking, we are at an intermediary stage, in a period of transition. Happily, we have reached a number of milestones along our way; but we have not yet reached our goal. Ecumenism is a process whereby life grows. On this path of growing and maturing, many intermediary steps are required. These are meant to lead finally to fellowship in the Eucharist - the sacrament of unity.

EVIL RITUALS

SACRED CANNIBALISM

The oldest and most sacred ritual in honor of cannibalism- the consumption of a victims flesh and blood, to consume their spirit and essence is the ritual of the Sacred Eucharist of Osiris.

Two and a half thousand years before the ritual was introduced into the ceremonies of Krishnianity, the ceremony of the sacred eucharist of Osiris was well established the origin of both the concept, the ritual and almost word for word the description used by the Roman Catholic Church today.

Significance of the ritual

There are two streams of cannibalism concerning the Fertility Goddesses of the ancient world- the literal cannibalism associated with the frenzied death associated with Osiris in which the flesh and blood of a human victim is eaten raw by the initiates in a frenzied state called Omophagia meaning "Eating-into-the-belly". The other was the "more refined" ritual of the Sacred Eucharist in which blood of a victim was intermingled in unleavened bread to form the Eucharist.

Of the two, the physical eating of flesh and blood of a dying person was rarely ever practiced and became most common during the demonic reigns of the dynastic Popes, climaxing in the years of the 12th to 14th Centuries when the Vatican ceased all pretence of being a place of sacredness and became the most open example of human sacrifice and demon worship not seen in Europe since late Neolithic times.

None of the modern litury of the Roman Catholic Church concerning the Eucharist has any origin from Jewish culture whatsoever. The claim that it is a derivation of the Jewish passover is a transparent and poor lie as the Krishnian ceremony is virtually word for word identical to the ancient Osiris ceremony.

Modern significance

The modern significance for Roman Catholics today in participating in the purely pagan ritual of celebrating the eucharist of cannibalism to demonic gods each week has its own special significance.

The Catholic pays homage to the supreme demonic deities of the Catholic Church, the real gods hidden behind the facades of false worship- Attis is hidden behind Jesus; Cybele is Mary, Dagon/Ba'al/Molech is "god".

Even though Catholics celebrate cannibalism ceremony each week, their lack of knowledge of the truth of the ceremonies does not lessen its impact .

Conclusion :

POPE TO COPELAND : CATHOLICS AND CHARISMATICS MUST SPIRITUALLY UNITE

We are galloping toward a one-world melding of religions, and the ramifications are staggering. Pope Francis has now sent a video message to Word of Faith father Kenneth Copeland, urging a reconciliation between Catholics and Charismatics.

The Catholic and Charismatic Renewal is the hope of the Church,” exclaims Anglican Episcopal Bishop Tony Palmer, before a group of cheering followers at the Kenneth Copeland Ministries.   Palmer said those words are from the Vatican. Before playing the video message from Pope Francis to Kenneth Copeland, Palmer told the crowd,  “When my wife saw that she could be Catholic, and Charismatic, and Evangelical, and Pentecostal, and it was absolutely accepted in the Catholic Church, she said that she would like to reconnect her roots with the Catholic culture. So she did.”

The crowd cheered, as he continued, “Brothers and sisters, Luther’s protest is over. Is yours?”

Even Kenneth Copeland finds this development incredible: Said Copeland, “Heaven is thrilled over this…You know what is so thrilling to me? When we went into the ministry 47 years ago, this was impossible.”

How can this impossibility be? Could the ears of those once aware of the evils of ecumenicism suddenly be sealing shut? What is even more gobsmackingly painful is the reaction from evangelicals, who seem quite thrilled with this unholy alliance.

Here is the longer version of what Copeland and Palmer said. Note that at about 40 minutes in, Copeland and the congregants join in prayer for the “Holy Father,” then watch as Anthony Palmer videotapes a return message to Pope Francis from Kenneth Copeland himself.

Here is the transcript:

“Two rules: Love God above all, and love the other (neighbor), because he is your brother and sister. With these two rules we can go ahead. I am here with my brother, my bishop brother, Tony Palmer. We’ve been friends for years.

He told me about your conference, about your meeting. And it’s my pleasure to greet you. A greeting both joyful and nostalgic (yearning). Joyful because it gives me joy that you have come together to worship Jesus Christ the only Lord. And to pray to the Father and to receive the Holy Spirit. This brings me joy because we can see that God is working all over the world. Nostalgic (yearning) because but…it happens, as within our suburbs. In the suburbs there are families that love each other and families that don’t love each other. Families that come together and families who separate themselves. We are kind of…permit me to say, separated.

Separated because, it’s sin that has separated us, all our sins. The misunderstandings throughout history. It has been a long road of sins that we all shared in. Who is to blame? We all share the blame. We have all sinned. There is only one blameless, the Lord. I am nostalgic (yearning), that this separation comes to an end and gives us communion. I am nostalgic (yearning), of that embrace that the Holy Scripture speaks of when Joseph’s brothers began to starve from hunger, they went to Egypt, to buy, so that they could eat.

They went to buy. They had money. But they couldn’t eat the money. But there they found something more than food, they found their brother. All of us have currency. The currency of our culture. The currency of our history. We have lot of cultural riches, and religious riches. And we have diverse traditions. But we have to encounter one another as brothers. We must cry together like Joseph did. These tears will unite us. The tears of love.

I am speaking to you as a brother. I speak to you in a simple way. With joy and nostalgia (yearning). Let us allow our nostalgia (yearning) to grow, because this will propel us to find each other, to embrace one another. And together to worship Jesus Christ as the only Lord of History.

I thank you profoundly for listening to me. I thank you profoundly for allowing me to speak the language of the heart. And I also ask you a favor. Please pray for me, because I need your prayers. And I will pray for you, I will do it, but I need your prayers. And let us pray to the Lord that He unites us all. Come on, we are brothers. Let’s give each other a spiritual hug and let God complete the work that he has begun. And this is a miracle; the miracle of unity has begun.

A famous Italian author named Manzoni, once wrote in his novel, of a simle man amongst the people, who once said this, “I’ve never seen God begin a miracle without Him finishing it well.” He will complete this miracle of unity. I ask you to bless me, and I bless you. From brother to brother, I embrace you. Thank you.”

To emphasize Muslim claims and custody of the compound, Jordan's King Abdullah II and Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas signed an agreement last April confirming their "common goal to defending" Jerusalem and its sacred Muslim sites "against attempts to Judaize the Holy City." http://news.yahoo.com/jordan-mps-vote-expel-israeli-ambassador-130121178.ht… .

CAN THE POPE BRING HOPE TO THE HOLY LAND?

Father Rifaat Bader, an Organizer of Francis May Visit, on Expectations and Context

Rome, February 27, 2014 (Zenit.org) Robert Cheaib

Pope Francis will visit the Holy Land from May 24-26 of this year, on the occasion of the 50thanniversary of Pope Paul VI’s historic visit. The visit will take place in a complicated geo-political context, given the Syrian crisis, which is entering its third year, bringing with it heavy repercussions on the neighboring countries, especially in regard the question of security and refugees.

Father Rifaat Bader, one of the organizers of the papal visit, spoke with ZENIT about the situation of the refugees in Jordan and the atmosphere preceding the Pope’s visit.

Father Bader, a Jordanian priest of the Latin Patriarchate, is the director and founder of the Abouna site and director of the Center of Catholic Studies and Information in Jordan.

ZENIT: What is the estimated number of Syrian refugees in Jordan?

Father Bader: The number of refugees in Jordan is close to one million. There are three camps, the most important of which is A-Za’tari. There are about 250,000 refugees present in the camp, while the others are scattered in several countries.

ZENIT: How do these refugees receive what is necessary for their survival? Do they have the right to work in Jordan?

Father Bader: Whoever is registered as a refugee can’t work. The same problem was lived and is still being lived by Iraqi refugees, whose number is close to half a million.

ZENIT: How do they live then?

Father Bader: The charitable organizations offer a great contribution, together with the work carried out by the United Nations. Caritas offers a great service. Every day some 100,000 refugees receive help without distinction of religion or race. The Christian charitable work isn’t exclusivist. And here I would like to stress a question of crucial importance: charitable work must not be a cover for proselytism. I say it because, unfortunately, there are realities that offer humanitarian services to then propose a proselytizing agenda. This is an error of timing because it catches man in a moment of great fragility and takes advantage of his hunger and thirst to manipulate his religious sensibility. It’s a lack of respect of the dignity of the human person.

ZENIT: How many Christians are there among these refugees?

Father Bader: There is talk of some 17,000 Syrian Christian refugees in Jordan. They all came after the Syrian crisis. Their motives for coming to Jordan are diverse. Many of them come to us only temporarily, while waiting to receive visas to immigrate in the West. This phenomenon is a motive of great grief for them, because they live two difficult exoduses, but also for the Middle East in general, because it is being emptied of its Christian children.

ZENIT: In this context, what is the importance of the Pope’s visit?

Father Bader: The timing of the Pope’s visit was dictated by the 50thanniversary of Paul VI’s historic visit. We are preparing a book for the occasion which comments on that visit, presenting the historical picture of the Holy See’s relations with Jordan, on one hand, and with Palestine on the other. The book will contain notable contributions, among them that of Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas, of Jordanian King Abdullah II, and a special word from Cardinal Paul Poupard, who has communicated to us his personal experience of Pope Paul VI’s trip.

Pope Francis is coming to commemorate that visit and to foster diplomatic relations with three States. He will go by helicopter from Jordan to Bethlehem in support of the Palestinian State. There are few Heads of State who recognize the independent status of Palestine. With this visit, the Pope will express the position of the Holy See, which recognizes Palestine and supports it.

As Jordanians we are extremely happy with this visit, although we would have liked a longer stay of the Holy Father.

ZENIT: What will be the motto of the visit?

Father Bader: The visit will be a cry of PEACE. We have been asked to put forward our proposals for the logo and the motto. I think it will be “Joy and Hope.” The motto of Pope Benedict’s visit to Lebanon was: “I Give You My Peace,” and that of his visit to the Holy Land was: “Blessed are the peacemakers.” This time, also to commemorate <the Pastoral Constitution> Gaudium et Spes, we have proposed: “Joy and Hope.”

ZENIT: The interlocutor of the desire for PEACE is not a State now. Rather, we find ourselves before a destructive and closed ideology. What (human) hope can the Pope’s visit awaken?

Father Bader: You are absolutely right. We don’t have a real interlocutor. There are so many leaders and even more ideologies. However, I don’t see the present war as a war against Christians; it is, rather, a war of terrorism in the same way against Christians and Muslims. And precisely here is the occasion for us, as Arab Christians, to show our support for DIALOGUE and friendship between Muslims and Christians. We must be one single source against terrorism and fundamentalism, against the forced insertion of religion in political battles.

Here I am pressed to affirm that the declaration of a Jewish religious nation is not an opportune step. The only State of a religious nature and of a totally peaceful character is Vatican City. If there should be religious nations -- and it’s something we don’t wish for -- they must be of a similar peaceful nature. The genesis of a Jewish religious State will give an alibi to the Islamists to form Islamic religious States, which will make everything all the more complicated. We hope, rather, for democratic States constituted on the right of citizenship and on equality in rights and duties.

Two days ago Palestine decided to eliminate the box of religious confession from identity cards. I think this is a great step forward. We must not deal with people according to their religious creed but as human persons. Our hope is that the Pope’s visit will be a contribution in the direction of EQUALITY and PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE.

SAN'EGIDIO COMMUNITY HOSTS CONFERENCE CALLING FOR A DIPLOMACY-RELIGIOUS ALLIANCE

Speakers Appeal for 'Common Pact' to Bring WORLD PEACE

Rome, February 27, 2014 (Zenit.org) Rocio Lancho Garcia

A “common pact” of religions and diplomacy to eradicateviolence and BUILD PEACE in the world was the appeal launched last week at an international congress “Religions and Violence.”

The appeal came from Marco Impagliazzo, president of the Catholic lay Sant’Egidio Community which organized the congress, and Jerry White, a diplomat of the U.S. State Department known for his international campaign against anti-personnel mines, who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1997. Attending the congress were religious and political personalities of European, Asian, African and Middle Eastern diplomacy.

The congress began with consideration from Cardinal Walter Kasper, President Emeritus of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity: “In the last few years religious violence has increased in an impressive way.” This has happened because “members of all religions, including Christians -- it can be said persons or groups who pretend to act in the name of a religion or of Christianity -- have been or are supporters of violence.”

In this context, the congress took up a diversified focus. The collapse of the Twin Towers was recalled by the Chief Rabbi of Rome, Riccardo Di Segni, as the image of a “violence colored by religiosity,” almost as if religions “can be violent by principle.” Intervening immediately after was Abdelfattah Mourou, vice-president of the Ennahdha Movement, winner of the elections in Tunisia and architect of the new Constitution which is one of the most mature fruits of the Arab Spring, who indicated that violence, including that between States, “has preceded religion” and perhaps has made use of it. Therefore, it is the task of religions to recover their autonomy and to contribute to the BUILDING OF PEACE by fostering culture, values and education.

Likewise, Muhammad Masud, member of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, denied that religion is “part of the violence,” but admitted that it can be used “to justify violence.” Therefore, an effort must be made “to clarify this confusion”, through a “new theology of support of cooperation between States instead of the domination of one over another.”

Impagliazzo said that “to attain the objective of PEACE in the post-ideological and globalized world in which we live, traditional diplomacy needs new instruments that affect all dimension of life: religion in the first place, then politics, culture, the struggle for development. The whole civil society must be committed in the effort to overcome old differences if not real and proper conflicts that are at the origin of the explosions of violence and terrorism which have bloodied the <world> at the beginning of the third millennium.”

Moreover, Jerry White pointed out that “traditional diplomacy has discovered how religions can contribute to the construction of an ECOSYSTEM' of PEACE, BY INJECTING THE VIRUS OF PEACE in a world infected by ‘AN EPIDEMIC OF VIOLENCE.’”

Also expressing his opinion was Catalan theologian Armand Puig, of the Faculty of Theology of Barcelona: “Violence can never be justified; that is why it always needs justifications. Peace, however, does not need to justify itself, it must not ask permission to enter in the avenues of history.”

For his part, Lebanese Samir Frangieh, intellectual and former parliamentarian of Beirut, explained that “religions, even in their diversity, have a common mission: to make men understand that they are condemned to cooperate together to survive, and that their relations with one another are not an option to choose or reject but a need to recognize.”

POPE MEETS WITH INTERFAITH GROUP FROM ARGENTINA

Jewish, Muslim and Catholic Leaders Convey Best Wishes For Upcoming Holy Land Trip = 3 false spirits

Vatican City, February 28, 2014 (Zenit.org)

Yesterday afternoon, Pope Francis met with 45 members of an important INTERFAITH GROUP from Argentina who returned from a visit to the Holy Land. The Holy Father, who will also visit the Holy Land in May, met with the group at his residence in Casa Santa Marta.

In a communique sent by the Holy See Press Office, the interfaith group included 15 Jews, 15 Muslims, and 15 Catholics. “Their trip covered many of the stops which the Holy Father is expected to visit during his brief pilgrimage to Jordan, Israel and Palestine,” the communique stated. The group also met with political and religious authorities as well as visiting the holy sites of all three monotheistic religions.

Many members of the group have known the Holy Father for many years when he served as Archbishop of Buenos Aires. Then Cardinal Bergoglio collaborated with them in INTERRELIGIOUS DIALOGUE as well as joint charitable projects. The group expressed their friendship and closeness with the Holy Father at the conclusion of their pilgrimage. They also conveyed their best wishes for his upcoming trip to the Holy Land.

Also present at the meeting was Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the Commission for Religious Relations with Jews and Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, President of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue.

TERRE SAINTE : UN JUIF ET UN MUSULMAN ACCOMPAGNERONT LE PAPE

Confidences à une délégation interreligieuse

Rome, 1 mars 2014 (Zenit.org) Anita Bourdin

THE TIME IS NOW– NEW WORLD ORDER MOVING IN FOR THE KILL –AND THE LIST OF CHURCHES INVOLVED! (Video and Shocking List)

In this list, you can add, any church who promote the "faith of father Abraham". You will see that all these churches, in the back, support Chrislam agenda and muslim religion. They all deny the universal laws of the God Almighty. All these churches are connect to the Roman Empire and their evil high priests of Hell, the same who promote the unity between jewish, catholic and muslims, the 3 false spirits of the Apocalpypse who prepare the road of the Antichrist/Lucifer.

(Before It's News)

The New World Order is NOW making thier move to usher in the demonic religion of CHRISLAM!

Chrislam is the merging of apostate christianity and Islam and it is truly a pit of serpents and devils. As predicted this demonic religion is exploding across the globe and specifically here in America. It has been dubbed as the new Emergent Church—a church that has “come out of the closet” so to speak, and is revealing their devilish nature.

Chrislam was a religion started—in part—by Rick Warren, California’s Saddleback Megachurch leading pastor. He has been known to embrace of the joining of Christianity and Islam and although he denies his connection, he simultaneously promotes the merger through his ministry and outlets.

One example of this was a in a meeting where Rick Warren addressed the Islamic Society of North America. In this meeting he told the audience how much he had in common with Muslims and the ideology of Islam. He further promoted a pro-globalization message of uniting at any cost.

Rick was also instrumental in the creation and signing of the Yale Covenant Between Islam and Christianity. Here is what the preamble to that covenant states:

“As members of the worldwide Christian community, we were deeply encouraged and challenged by the recent historic open letter signed by 138 leading Muslim scholars, clerics, and intellectuals from around the world. “A Common Word Between Us and You” identifies some core common ground between Christianity and Islam which lies at the heart of our respective faiths as well as at the heart of the most ancient Abrahamic faith, Judaism. Jesus Christ’s call to love God and neighbor was rooted in the divine revelation to the people of Israel embodied in the Torah (Deuteronomy 6:5; Leviticus 19:18). We receive the open letter as a Muslim hand of conviviality and cooperation extended to Christians worldwide. In this response we extend our own Christian hand in return, so that together with all other human beings we may live in peace and justice as we seek to love God and our neighbors.

Muslims and Christians have not always shaken hands in friendship; their relations have sometimes been tense, even characterized by outright hostility. Since Jesus Christ says, “First take the log out your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbor’s eye” (Matthew 7:5), we want to begin by acknowledging that in the past (e.g. in the Crusades) and in the present (e.g. in excesses of the “war on terror”) many Christians have been guilty of sinning against our Muslim neighbors. Before we “shake your hand” in responding to your letter, we ask forgiveness of the All-Merciful One [Allah] and of the Muslim community around the world.” Yale Covenant

Because of Rick Warren and others the ‘spark’ of Chrislam is on the rise and as a result a new group called Faith Shared is now spearheading the move to merge Christianity with Islam.

Here is a quote taken directly from the Faith Shared website:

““Faith Shared asks houses of worship across the country to organize events involving clergy reading from each other’s sacred texts. An example would be a Christian Minister, Jewish Rabbi and Muslim Imam participating in a worship service or other event. Suggested readings will be provided from the Torah, the Gospels, and the Qur’an, but communities are encouraged to choose readings that will resonate with their congregations. Involvement of members from the Muslim community is key. We will also provide suggestions on how to incorporate this program into your regular worship services. And we will assist local congregations in their media and communications efforts.

While there is a strong preference for all of the events to happen on the same day, a number of congregations held interfaith services in January and February giving us wonderful examples of how communities can come together in support and fellowship. We will be posting photos, sample programs and audio files from theses services.

Faith Shared will collect images and videos from these events to use in our efforts to spread this message of respect and understanding from America.”

“Tensions around Islam in America have erupted throughout the country in the past year, leading to misconceptions, distrust and in some cases violence. News stories on the rising tide of anti-Muslim bigotry and violence abound, with graphic and often searing images of the antagonists, the protagonists and the battlegrounds where they meet. All too often, media coverage simplistically pits Muslims against would-be Qur’an burners, neglecting any substantive representation of where the majority of Americans actually stand: a shared commitment to tolerance and freedom. We are committed to ensuring that the storyline changes dramatically in 2011 by helping to create an environment of mutual understanding and respect for each other’s faith traditions.”” source – Faith Shared

Bill Wilson—a Christian journalist, professional writer, and commentator on current events relating to the relationship between the United States, Israel and Islam—made the following comment on the rise of “Chrislam” in the United States:

“…Many Christian churches across the United States began a series of sermons aimed at bringing about reconciliation between Muslims and Christians. These misguided Presbyterian ministers are trying to focus on a relationship between the Holy Bible and the Koran they call ”Chrislam.” They are saying that because the Koran mentions Jesus that there is common ground with Christianity. To prove their point, they are placing Korans alongside the Holy Bible in their pews. And they are teaching that you can be a follower of Christ without necessarily believing that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, who died for our sins offering the gift of eternal salvation.”

FOUNDER OF LIBERATION THEOLOGY HAILED AT VATICAN

Published February 25, 2014
Associated Press

VATICAN CITY – The founder of liberation theology, the Latin American-inspired Catholic theology advocating for the poor, received a hero's welcome Tuesday at the Vatican as the once-criticized movement continues its rehabilitation under Pope Francis.

The Rev. Gustavo Gutierrez of Peru was the surprise speaker Tuesday at a book launch featuring the head of the Vatican's orthodoxy office, Cardinal Gerhard Mueller; one of Francis' top advisers, Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga; and the Vatican spokesman.

The former Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger spent much of his tenure at Mueller's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith battling liberation theology and disciplining some of its most famous defenders, arguing that they had misinterpreted Jesus' preference for the poor into a Marxist call for armed rebellion.

That interpretation was powerfully attractive to many Latin Americans in the 1960s and 1970s who were raised Catholic, taught by Marxist-influenced teachers and outraged by the inequality and bloody repression around them.

Gutierrez and his backers insist true liberation theology was always perfectly in line with the church's social teaching about the poor, which Francis embraces.

Francis wrote the preface of Mueller's book, "Poor for the Poor: The Mission of the Church," which contains two chapters written by Gutierrez.

Gutierrez, 85, received a round of applause when the Vatican spokesman noted his presence Tuesday and another round when he approached the podium to speak about the parable of the Good Samaritan.

The former Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio has had a complicated relationship with liberation theology, clashing with left-leaning members of his Jesuit order who took up its politicized call to confront Argentina's violent military dictatorship in the 1970s.

Nevertheless, Francis fully embraces its call for the church to have a "preferential option for the poor."

The Vatican newspaper, L'Osservatore Romano, has been on a rehabilitation campaign of sorts, saying that with the first Latin American pope, liberation theology can no longer "remain in the shadows to which it has been relegated for some years, at least in Europe."
