SHOCK AS ITS REVEALED ISIS ARMY NOW HAS SWOLLEN TO OVER 200,000 WAR FIGHTERS

War propaganda. CIA underestimated the number of jihadis??? Yeah, sure, these the one who created ISIS.

NTEB News Desk | November 15, 2014

CIA has hugely underestimated the number of jihadis, who now rule an area the size of Britain

The Islamic State – ISIS  – has recruited an army hundreds of thousands strong, far larger than previous estimates by the CIA, according to a senior Kurdish leader. He said the ability of Isis to attack on many widely separated fronts in Iraq and Syria at the same time shows that the number of militant fighters is at least 200,000, seven or eight times bigger than foreign intelligence estimates of up to 31,500 men.

Fuad Hussein, the chief of staff of the Kurdish President Massoud Barzani said in an exclusive interview with The Independent on Sunday that “I am talking about hundreds of thousands of fighters because they are able to mobilise Arab young men in the territory they have taken.”

A sign of the military professionalism of ISIS is the speed with which they learned to use captured US tanks, artillery and other heavy equipment captured after the fall of Mosul on 10 June.

He estimates that Isis rules a third of Iraq and a third of Syria with a population of between 10 and 12 million living in an area of 250,000 square kilometres, the same size as Great Britain. This gives the jihadis a large pool of potential recruits.

Proof that Isis has created a large field army at great speed is that it has been launching attacks against the Kurds in northern Iraq and the Iraqi army close to Baghdad at the same time as it is fighting in Syria. “They are fighting in Kobani,” said Mr Hussein. “In Kurdistan last month they were attacking in seven different places as well as in Ramadi [capital of Anbar province west of Baghdad] and Jalawla [an Arab-Kurdish town close to Iranian border]. It is impossible to talk of 20,000 men or so.”

The high figure for Isis’s combat strength is important because it underlines how difficult it will be eliminate Isis even with US air strikes.

In September, the CIA produced an estimate of Isis numbers which calculated that the movement had between 20,000 and 31,500 fighters. The underestimate of the size of the force that Isis can deploy may explain why the US and other foreign governments have been repeatedly caught by surprise over the past five months as IS inflicted successive defeats on the Iraqi army, Syrian army, Syrian rebels and Kurdish peshmerga.

US NAVY VET FIRED! EXPOSED DHS PREPARATION FOR ‘WAR’! TOLT TOLD TO ‘EXPECT A KNOCK UPON YOUR DOOR!’

November 17, 2014

By Live Free or Die

A United States Navy Veteran has been fired for exposing what is beginning to look like preparation for all hell breaking loose 25 miles southwest of Ferguson, Missouri as shown in the brand new video and pictures below. Most disturbing was the conversation that he had with the director of security for the hotel chain he’d worked for, a conversation that might take place in any dictatorial police state society.

Navy Vet Mark Paffrath had left his job at the Drury Plaza Hotel located in Chesterfield, Missouri, where he saw probably 100 Department of Homeland Security vehicles waiting in the parking garage as seen below. As many good Americans would do, he took a couple of photographs, and a video, and uploaded them to his Facebook page, and for exposing THIS he no longer has a job. For taking these photos and video, he was told he’s “a terrorist” and if these videos and pictures were reposted, he should “expect a knock upon his door!”

30 minutes after Paffrath arrived to work Saturday, Jim Bohnert, director of security for Drury Hotels Company, told Paffrath he had been fired, News Now reported. His Facebook posts apparently cost the hotel chain a $150,000 contract with the Department of Homeland Security, the outlet added.

As if that wasn’t enough, Paffrath also claimed Bohnert told him, ”[Y]ou’re a terrorist and you have dishonorably served your country by posting the photos and video.”

When Paffrath told Bohnert he never put the location of the vehicles on the photos or the video, Bohnert reportedly said “all they have to do is click on your name and see where you work.” Paffrath said Bohnert concluded their conversation by saying “if you repost the photos and video you will have the Federal government knocking on your door and you will be incarcerated.”

IS the Department of Homeland Security preparing for war in Ferguson, Missouri, with agitators and KKK coming in, threatening to kill others? Is this preparation for the ‘end game’?

GERMANTOWN PARTICIPATES IN EXERCISE KEEN SWORD WITH JAPANES WITH JAPANESE FORCES

Story Number: NNS141116-01Release Date: 11/16/2014 9:03:00 PM

By Mass Communication Specialist Seaman Patrick Dionne, Commander, Amphibious Squadron 11 Public Affairs

Official U.S. Navy file photo of amphibious assault vehicles assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines, depart the well deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42)

PHILIPPINE SEA (NNS) -- The amphibious dock landing ship, USS Germantown (LSD 42) and the 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion (AAB), 2nd Marine Division (MARDIV), operated with Japanese Self Defense Forces (JSDF) during exercise Keen Sword, Nov. 11-12.

Keen Sword is a bilateral amphibious training exercise conducted with JSDF designed to increase combat readiness and interoperability.

"This is an opportunity to allow the Japanese military see how we operate and for us to learn from them too," said Lt. Jesse Rond, Germantown's combat information center officer. "What makes this unique is that it focuses on improving the relationship we have with the Japanese in a lasting way."

This portion of the exercise kicked off with service members from JSDF being flown over on a Japanese Ground Self Defense Force (JGSDF) CH-47 Chinook, for a tour of Germantown. This allowed Sailors and Marines to engage with members of JSDF and show them a variety of the ship's systems and capabilities. This included a tour of the well deck, the weapons systems, the bridge, the boat deck and the wardroom. Members of the JSDF participated in a Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) drill and had an opportunity to drive amphibious assault vehicles (AAV) in the well deck.

"Next year we will have AAV's, so we have learned a lot on how to operate and maintain them," said Col. Yoshiyuki Goto, assigned to the Japanese Ground Self Defense Force (JGSDF). "Having this ability will help synchronize our sea and land operations."

The main goal of Germantown's participation with JSDF is to practice tactics, techniques and procedures with Japanese forces to strengthen amphibious warfare and to help the JSDF build their developing amphibious forces.

"We showed the JGSDF everything that goes into tactically planning an amphibious assault from the logistical and maintenance procedures to how to operate them," said Marine 2nd Lt. Jeffrey Horwitz, the platoon commander for the 2nd AAB, 2nd MARDIV. "This is important because it shows them how to use AAVs not only in a war time environment but also for humanitarian efforts."

Members of JGSDF were given a brief that included the planning and execution of an AAV assault as well as the basics of how the machines operated. Following the brief, each member of the JGSDF drove an AAV for the first time in the ship's well deck.

"I was the one who explained how the tracks of the AAVs worked," said Marine Sgt. John Vloyanetes. "They were really eager to learn. They were interested in what the AAVs could do and what we can do to help them. It was a great opportunity, and I learned a lot about the Japanese culture and how to work with language barriers."

The final exercise of the day was a simulated MEDEVAC drill that included a CH-47 Chinook helicopter landing on the flight deck with two patients that had simulated injuries.

"We participated in a simulated medical evacuation with the JSDF and had a helicopter land on Germantown with two patients on stretchers as well as a Japanese surgeon," said U.S. Navy Doctor Lt. Erik Johnson, the ship's general medicine officer. "Then we all worked together to get the patients inside the skin of the ship, were I worked in conjunction with the Japanese physician to provide care. We don't have a lot of opportunities for us to communicate with the Japanese on the medical side so this was a great experience to see how their medical field works."

Keen Sword is the latest in a series of joint exercises since 1986 between the U.S. military and JSDF to help enhance cooperation and unity between the two countries in the 7th Fleet Area of Responsibility.

"As strong as we are as a Navy, we can be even stronger if we can collaborate efficiently with other military forces," said Rond. "Both sides learning each other's cultures and capabilities is the best way to break down boundaries and help us come together as a cohesive unit."

Keen Sword will run until Nov. 19, and will include approximately 11,000 U.S. personnel and will continue to take place in a variety of locations throughout Japan, Okinawa and the waters surrounding Japan.

"Even though the Americans and the Japanese have a different history and culture, learning together helps us make great progress for the future," said Goto. "We have adapted to work side by side and that is the strong point of our two nations."

Germantown is part of the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group, commanded by Capt. Heidi Agle, and is conducting joint forces exercises in the U.S. 7th Fleet Area of Responsibility.

The biennial U.S.-only exercise focuses on engaging units at sea, on land, and in cyberspace in response to a range of mission areas. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Hernan Vidana/Released)

KUNSAN, Republic of Korea (NNS) -- The Yellow Jackets of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 138 participated in Max Thunder, a bilateral aerial training exercise for U.S. and Republic of Korea (ROK) military aircrews and maintainers, Nov. 14-21 at Kunsan Air Base, Korea.

The purpose of exercise Max Thunder is to enhance combat readiness of the U.S. and ROK air forces and supporting forces through combined and joint training.

The Yellow Jackets bring suppression of enemy air defense (SEAD) capabilities, also known as radar jamming, to the exercise utilizing EA-18G Growler aircraft.

"When it comes to suppressing an enemy's air defense, I want to know how to best protect our counterparts," said Cmdr. Doug Graber, commanding officer of VAQ-138. "The more VAQ-138 learns about how our counterparts operate, the more we can protect them. It's complicated, but the more we train together the more interoperable we become."

Participation in Max Thunder provides the aircrew and maintainers of VAQ-138 with a valuable training opportunity that only forward-deployed squadrons can experience.

"I'm happy that we can be part of the Navy's plans to operate forward and rebalance to the Pacific," said Graber. "To me, it's always a meaningful exercise when we not only get to prove ourselves in several mission areas, but also find ways to improve capabilities. There are some things you'll never learn until it's time to pick up, move, settle in somewhere new, and start launching jets."

Exercise Max Thunder allows the U.S. and ROK militaries to become familiar with tactical capabilities through mission planning and aerial maneuvers. Through bilateral exercises like Max Thunder, each nation learns critical tactics that allow aircraft to operate together when it really matters.

"Being in an environment like this makes you grow because we are working with the different air forces," said Graber. "We have to learn the different services' jargon, operational norms, and tactics. This is very important for achieving our combined readiness."

Also deployed to the Korean peninsula is the U.S. Marine Corps Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team, Pacific (FASTPAC) Detachment 6 Platoon from Yokosuka, Japan. This specialty security team brings an added layer of security to the high-tech squadron.

"We specialize in fixed site security," said Capt. Sean Dixon, officer in charge of FASTPAC Detachment 6 Platoon. "We come here to reinforce security of naval assets like the EA-18G Growler and the equipment VAQ-138 brings. We also regulate who comes around the technology."

"The Marine FASTPAC team solves a lot of our problems," said Graber. "They are able to pick up and deploy with us, and they do a great job of protecting our jets and crew."

VAQ-138 is currently on a routine deployment in support of 7th Fleet. The expeditionary squadron is forward deployed from Misawa, Japan, and is homeported at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island in Oak Harbor, Washington.

Exercise Max Thunder is part of a continuous exercise program to enhance interoperability between U.S. and ROK forces and is not tied to any real-world or specific threats. These exercises highlight the longstanding military partnership, commitment, and enduring friendship between the two nations, help ensure PEACE and SECURITY on the Korean Peninsula, and reaffirm the U.S. commitment to STABILITY in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.

USS FORT WORTH COMMENCES 16-MONTH ROTATIONAL DEPLOYMENT TO WESTERN PACIFIC

Story Number: NNS141117-21Release Date: 11/17/2014 8:40:00 PM

By Commander, U.S. 3rd Fleet Public Affairs

141117-N-DH124-048 SAN DIEGO (Nov. 17, 2014) The littoral combat ship USS Fort Worth (LCS 3) departs Naval Base San Diego for a scheduled 16-month rotational deployment to Singapore in support of the Navy's strategic rebalance to the Pacific. Fort Worth is the first littoral combat ship to deploy under the 3-2-1 manning concept, swapping fully trained crews roughly every four months and extending the littoral combat ship forward presence. It is named "3-2-1" because three rotational crews will support two LCS ships and maintain one deployed ship. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Rosalie Chang/Released)

SAN DIEGO (NNS) -- The littoral combat ship USS Fort Worth (LCS 3) departed its homeport of San Diego Nov. 17 for a 16-month rotational deployment to Singapore in support of the Navy's strategic rebalance to the Pacific.

Building on the achievements of USS Freedom's (LCS 1) inaugural 10-month deployment to Southeast Asia from March to December 2013, Fort Worth will visit more ports, engage more regional navies during exercises like Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) and expand LCS capabilities, including embarking and using the MQ-8B Fire Scout Vertical Takeoff and Landing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (VTUAV).

"There is no doubt that LCS brings an enhanced capability to the Asia-Pacific region," said Vice Adm. Kenneth E. Floyd, U.S. 3rd Fleet commander. "We are proud of the crews for the countless hours of hard work in preparation for this inaugural deployment and we're looking forward to Fort Worth building on the successes and lessons learned from Freedom's deployment last year."

Fort Worth, with embarked LCS Crew 104, recently completed its final certifications for its deployment during Task Group Exercise off the coast of Southern California.

After departing San Diego, Fort Worth will visit ports in Hawaii and Guam before arriving in its maintenance and logistics hub of Singapore. The ship will remain homeported in San Diego and all crew members will live aboard.

Fort Worth is the first LCS to deploy under the "3-2-1" manning concept, swapping fully trained crews roughly every four months. This concept will allow Fort Worth to deploy six months longer than Freedom, which swapped crews once in 10 months, extending LCS forward presence and reducing crew fatigue for the 16-month deployment. It is named 3-2-1 because three rotational crews will support two LCS ships and maintain one deployed ship.

Like Freedom, Fort Worth will employ the surface warfare mission package for the entire deployment, to include two 30 mm guns, two 11-meter rigid hull inflatable boats (RHIB) and two 8-member maritime security boarding teams.

For the first time, Fort Worth will also deploy with an aviation detachment from the "Magicians" of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 35, the Navy's first composite expeditionary helicopter squadron. The aviation detachment will consist of one MH-60R Seahawk helicopter and one MQ-8B Fire Scout unmanned autonomous helicopter. The Fire Scout will complement the MH-60R by extending the range and endurance thereby enhancing maritime domain awareness.

"The crew has put in long hours and hard work to ensure both they and the ship are ready for Fort Worth's maiden deployment," said Cmdr. Kendall Bridgewater, LCS Crew 104 commanding officer. "We look forward to arriving in theater and quickly becoming a valuable asset to the 7th Fleet commander, engaging with our allies and partner nations in the Pacific."

This is the second overseas deployment of the Navy's LCS platform. Fast, agile and mission-focused, LCS is designed to operate in near-shore environments and employ modular mission packages that can be configured for surface warfare, mine countermeasures, or anti-submarine warfare.

U.S. 3rd Fleet leads naval forces in the Eastern Pacific from the West Coast of North America to the international date line and provides the realistic, relevant training necessary for an effective global Navy.

SAN DIEGO (NNS) -- The "Magicians" of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 35 Detachment 1 departed Naval Air Station North Island, Coronado, California, Nov. 17, to join USS Fort Worth (LCS 3) on her maiden deployment.

The departure marks the first time the multi-mission MH-60R Seahawk helicopter and the MQ-8B Fire Scout unmanned autonomous helicopter are deployed together aboard a littoral combat ship.

Lt. Cmdr. Doug Kay, the officer-in-charge of HSM-35 Detachment 1, spoke with media briefly prior to the detachment's departure.

"I have never been more confident in my detachment's capabilities and readiness," said Kay. "I have the right people, and they truly are America's best."

HSM-35 Detachment 1 will consist of one MH-60R and one MQ-8B. The Fire Scout will complement the MH-60R by extending the range and endurance to enhance maritime domain awareness. The deploying aviation detachment will consist of 24 personnel who are qualified to operate or perform maintenance on both the MH-60R and the MQ-8B.

"We are the first squadron to bring all three components together with the MH-60R, the Fire Scout unmanned system, and the littoral combat ship," said Kay. "It's exciting to be at the cutting edge of Naval Aviation as part of HSM-35."

As the next generation submarine hunter and anti-surface warfare helicopter, the MH-60R Seahawk is the cornerstone of the Navy's Helicopter Concept of Operations. The MQ-8B Fire Scout system provides unique situational awareness and precision target support for the Navy and complements the MH-60R by extending the range and endurance to enhance maritime domain awareness.

Littoral combat ships are expected to routinely deploy with one Fire Scout and an H-60 as part of the ship's surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare, and mine countermeasures mission packages.

Fort Worth also departed San Diego Nov. 17 for the ship's scheduled deployment to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.

NAVY INFORMATION DOMINANCE FORCES SUPPORT BOLD ALLIGATOR

Story Number: NNS141118-04Release Date: 11/18/2014 10:59:00 AM

From Navy Information Dominance Forces Public Affairs

SUFFOLK, Va. (NNS) -- As the Navy operates forward to support real-world events, so does the Information Dominance Type Commander (ID TYCOM), as was evident during Exercise Bold Alligator 2014 (BA14), Oct. 29 - Nov. 10.

The ID TYCOM provides Naval commands with intelligence, imagery and strike capabilities. Fleet Intelligence Detachments (FIDs) and Fleet Intelligence Adaptive Forces (FIAFs) are the Navy's enablers that fill this increased demand.

FID and FIAF personnel assigned to the Navy's newest TYCOM, Navy Information Dominance Forces (NAVIDFOR), recently supported multiple commands throughout BA14. This year's Bold Alligator blue-green team involved 19 nations and 18 U.S. Navy and coalition ships, and roughly 14,000 U.S. and international marines and sailors. The exercise featured Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) 2 and 2d Marine Expeditionary Brigade (MEB).

In previous years, Bold Alligator tested the ability of the Navy-Marine Corps and coalition partner teams to conduct a full-scale amphibious landing in a medium-threat environment. BA14 exercised the ability to conduct crisis response operations in a complex maritime environment, with realistic scenarios that are relevant to current operations. Crisis response operations like Tomadachi in Japan and Unified Response in Haiti illustrate the need for rapid, reliable and ready amphibious forces provided by the Navy-Marine Corps team and coalition partners.

FID personnel typically provide specialized intelligence capabilities to deploying carrier strike groups and amphibious ready groups, and support underway training, deployment and surge requirements. FIAF personnel serve as the primary source for meeting fleet obligations for intelligence individual augmentation missions, provide enhanced intelligence capacity to maritime operations centers around the globe, and serve to augment ad hoc fleet and operational intelligence requirements.

During BA14, both FID and FIAF teams helped man the ships' Joint Intelligence Center and Expeditionary Plot for daily intelligence operations. Embarked personnel trained to perform the same duties they would execute during a standard deployment. These intelligence professionals provided background intelligence support to exercise staff and assisted with evolution grading and White Cell activities.

The Navy Information Dominance Corps (IDC) was established in 2009 and combined the deep expertise and strengths of the officer/enlisted, active/Reserve, and civilian workforce from the oceanography/meteorology, information professional, information warfare, naval intelligence and space cadre professions. IDC is an inter-disciplinary corps that possesses an innate understanding of potential adversaries and the battle space. IDC intelligence experts like those from the FIDs and FIAFs accurately identify targets and bring an array of non-kinetic, offensive and defensive capabilities to the fight in the Information Age.

STATE DEPT ASKS UAD WHY IT LABELLED CAIR A TERRORIST GROUP

Posted on November 19, 2014 by creeping

What most Americans and the rest of the world have been asking for some time is, “Why hasn’t America labelled Hamas front group CAIR a terrorist group?”

via CNS News.

A State Department spokesman said Monday the administration was seeking clarity from the United Arab Emirates over its to list two American Muslim groups as terrorist organizations.

Spokesman Jeff Rathke seemed unaware that one of the two groups, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), has long been engaged in outreach programs with the U.S. government.

He said the administration was “seeking to gain more information on why” the UAE had included include CAIR and the Muslim American Society (MAS) on the list. Others among the more than 80 groups listed ranged from the Muslim Brotherhood to al-Qaeda affiliates and the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS/ISIL).

“We’re aware that two U.S.-based groups, the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Muslim American Society, were included on the list,” Rathke said. “We’re engaging UAE authorities” on the matter.

“The State Department works…with CAIR all the time, no?” a reporter asked. “I mean, there’s all sorts of outreach programs between the government and CAIR, right?”

“I don’t know offhand whether we have a particular—” Rathke began, before being told that CAIR has also worked with the FBI, and that CAIR officials have been invited to State Department-hosted iftars – Ramadan fast-breaking meals – “in years past.”

“I don’t have that information at my fingertips,” Rathke said. “But at any rate, we’re engaging UAE officials. These are U.S.-based groups so of course our – we are not in the lead then for domestically-based groups generally.”

[CS: How could you come to a press conference to talk about a notorious group the State Dept. is extremely well aware of and not have information at your fingertips? Unless you are lying.]

CAIR did not respond Monday to queries.

Last summer the State Department’s assistant secretary for South and Central Asian affairs, Nisha Biswal, held a meeting at the department with CAIR interns.

The State Department article described CAIR as an “advocacy group that seeks to promote a positive image of Islam and Muslims in America and present an Islamic perspective on issues of importance to the American public.”

Some of the department’s outreach articles have even included a link to CAIR’s website.

Both CAIR and MAS have known controversy: MAS was founded by Muslim Brotherhood members in the 1990s, while CAIR was named by the Justice Department in 2007 as “unindicted co-conspirators” in its case against the Holy Land Foundation in Texas, subsequently found guilty of raising money for Hamas.

Egypt’s foreign ministry welcomed the UAE’s decision to put the Muslim Brotherhood on the terror list. The veteran Islamist organization won presidential elections and ruled Egypt for a year until toppled by the military in July 2013. The UAE move follows earlier ones by Egypt and Saudi Arabia to outlaw it a terrorist organization.

In a Wall Street Journal op-ed last September, UAE Ambassador to the U.S. Yousef al-Otaiba said the fight against terrorism must go beyond ISIS and “confront dangerous Islamist extremists of all stripes across the region.”

“A successful campaign to defeat Islamist extremism in the long term must confront the transnational networks and organizations that breed and support hatred and violence in the name of religion,” he wrote.

“Backing these support networks and organizations is a sophisticated ideological, financial and communications complex that includes countries, charities, companies and individuals. It uses social media, religious centers, banks and false fronts,” al-Otaiba said. “It must be choked off through an organized program of better intelligence, more-aggressive law enforcement and tougher sanctions.”

EXCLUSIVE : CORNERED BUT UNBOUND BY NUCLEAR PACT, ISRAEL RECONSIDERS MILITARY ACTION AGAINST IRAN

Israeli official cites "sunset clause" in proposed comprehensive deal, which guarantees Iran a path into the nuclear club and may corner Israel into war.

WASHINGTON – Historic negotiations with Iran will reach an inflection point on Monday, as world powers seek to clinch a comprehensive deal that will, to their satisfaction, end concerns over the nature of its vast, decade-old nuclear program.

But reflecting on the deal under discussion with The Jerusalem Post on the eve of the deadline, Israel has issued a stark, public warning to its allies with a clear argument: Current proposals guarantee the perpetuation of a crisis, backing Israel into a corner from which military force against Iran provides the only logical exit.

The deal on the table

World powers have presented Iran with an accord that would restrict its nuclear program for roughly ten years and cap its ability to produce fissile material for a weapon during that time to a minimum nine-month additional period, from the current three months.

Should Tehran agree, the deal may rely on Russia to convert Iran's current uranium stockpile into fuel rods for peaceful use. The proposal would also include an inspection regime that would attempt to follow the program's entire supply chain, from the mining of raw material to the syphoning of that material to various nuclear facilities across Iran.

Israel's leaders believe the best of a worst-case scenario, should that deal be reached, is for inspections to go perfectly and for Iran to choose to abide by the deal for the entire decade-long period.

But "our intelligence agencies are not perfect," an Israeli official said. "We did not know for years about Natanz and Qom. And inspection regimes are certainly not perfect. They weren't in the case in North Korea, and it isn't the case now – Iran's been giving the IAEA the run around for years about its past activities."

"What's going to happen with that?" the official continued. "Are they going to sweep that under the rug if there's a deal?"

On Saturday afternoon, reports from Vienna suggested the P5+1 – the US, United Kingdom, France, Russia, China and Germany – are willing to stop short of demanding full disclosure of any secret weapon work by Tehran.

Speaking to the Post, a senior US official rejected concern over limited surveillance capabilities, during or after a deal.

"If we can conclude a comprehensive agreement, we will have significantly more ability to detect covert facilities – even after its duration is over – than we do today," the senior US official said. "After the duration of the agreement, the most intrusive inspections will continue: the Additional Protocol – which encompasses very intrusive transparency, and which Iran has already said it will implement – will continue."

But compounding Israel's fears, the proposal Jerusalem has seen shows that mass dismantlement of Iran's nuclear infrastructure – including the destruction, and not the mere warehousing, of its parts – is no longer on the table in Vienna.

"Iran's not being asked to dismantle the nuclear infrastructure," the Israeli official said, having seen the proposal before the weekend. "Right now what they're talking about is something very different. They're talking about Ayatollah Khamenei allowing the P5+1 to save face."

Officials in the Netanyahu government are satisfied that their ideas and concerns have been given a fair hearing by their American counterparts. They praise the US for granting Israel unprecedented visibility into the process.

But while those discussions may have affected the talks at the margins, large gaps – on whether to grant Iran the right to enrich uranium, or allow it to keep much of its infrastructure – have remained largely unaddressed.

"It's like the chemical weapons deal in Syria," the official said. "They didn't just say: Here, let's get rid of the stockpile and the weapons, but we will leave all the plants and assembly lines."

'Sunset clause'

Yet, more than any single enforcement standard or cap included in the deal, Israel believes the Achilles' heel of the proposed agreement is its definitive end date – the sunset clause.

"You've not dismantled the infrastructure, you've basically tried to put limits that you think are going to be monitored by inspectors and intelligence," said the official, "and then after this period of time, Iran is basically free to do whatever it wants."

The Obama administration also rejects this claim. By e-mail, the senior US administration official said that, "'following successful implementation of the final step of the comprehensive solution for its duration, the Iranian nuclear program will be treated in the same manner as that of any non-nuclear weapon state party to the NPT – with an emphasis on non-nuclear weapon."

"That has in no way changed," the American official continued, quoting the interim Joint Plan of Action reached last year.

But the treatment of Iran as any other signatory of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty –189 countries are members, including Iran – would allow Tehran to ultimately acquire "an industrial-sized capability," the Israelis say. "The breakout times [to a nuclear weapon] will be effectively zero."

Israel and world powers seek to maximize the amount of time they would have to identify non-compliance from a nuclear deal, should Iran choose to defy its tenets and build a bomb.

But in the deal under discussion in Vienna, Iran would be able to comply with international standards for a decade and, from Israel's perspective, then walk, not sneak, into the nuclear club.

"You've not only created a deal that leaves Iran as a threshold nuclear power today, because they have the capability to break out quickly if they wanted to," the Israeli official contended. "But you've also legitimized Iran as a military nuclear power in the future."

From the moment this deal is clinched, Israel fears it will guarantee Iran as a military nuclear power. There will be no off ramp, because Iran's reentry into the international community will be fixed, a fait accompli, by the very powers trying to contain it.

"The statement that says we've prevented them from having a nuclear weapon is not a true statement," the Israeli official continued. "What you've said is, you're going to put restrictions on Iran for a given number of years, after which there will be no restrictions and no sanctions. That's the deal that's on the table."

Revisiting the use of force

Without an exit ramp, Israel insists its hands will not be tied by an agreement reached this week, this month or next, should it contain a clause that ultimately normalizes Iran's home-grown enrichment program.

On the surface, its leadership dismisses fears that Israel will be punished or delegitimized if it disrupts an historic, international deal on the nuclear program with unilateral military action against its infrastructure.

By framing the deal as fundamentally flawed, regardless of its enforcement, Israel is telling the world that it will not wait to see whether inspectors do their jobs as ordered.

"Ten, fifteen years in the life of a politician is a long time," the Israeli said, in a vague swipe against the political directors now scrambling in Vienna. "In the life of a nation, it's nothing."

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened the use of force against Iran several times since 2009, even seeking authorization from his cabinet in 2011. Iran's program has since grown in size and scope.

According to his aides, the prime minister's preference is not war, but the continuation of a tight sanctions regime on Iran's economy coupled with a credible threat of military force. Netanyahu believes more time under duress would have led to an acceptable deal. But that opportunity, in his mind, may now be lost.

Whether Israel still has the ability to strike Iran, without American assistance, is an open question. Quoted last month in the Atlantic magazine, US officials suggested that window for Netanyahu closed over two years ago.

But responding to claims by that same official, quoted by Jeffrey Goldberg, over Netanyahu's courage and will, the Israeli official responded sternly: "The prime minister is a very serious man who knows the serious responsibility that rests on his shoulders. He wouldn't say the statements that he made if he didn't mean them."

"People have underestimated Israel many, many times in the past," he continued, "and they underestimate it now."

SELON BERLIN, 550 ALLEMANDS ONT REJOINT LES RANGS DE l’EI EN SYRIE ET EN IRAK

A bitter war of words between hacker collective Anonymous and the Ku Klux Klan risks spilling over into real violence, with the right-wing hate group allegedly threatening to shoot dead activists wearing the Guy Fawkes mask in southern Missouri.

Earlier this week, Anonymous sent out a tweet relating an alleged interaction between Frank Ancona, the self-described “Imperial Wizard of the Traditionalist American Knights,” and a fellow KKK member.
In the missive, Ancona allegedly said those wandering around rural Missouri in a Guy Fawkes mask could “accidentally” find themselves in a hunter’s crosshairs.
“Its deer hunting season here in southern Missouri, it’s really easy to see how a hunter could mistake someone wearing one of those gay anonymous masks for the hind-end of a whitetail deer. Boom!!! Oops sorry it was an accident,” the message reads.

The masks really come off in the next message attributed to Ancona, with unveiled threats of violence and racist invective directed at the hacker collective.

The message claims the names of several Anonymous members have already been obtained, including that of “Commander X,” described as ”The Grand Wizard Of Anonymous,” and another member operating under the handle @TrezSec.

“You pathetic n***** lovers are going down, we’re NOT HIDING. WE’RE NOT ASHAMED OF WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE REPRESENT. THE INVISIBLE EMPIRE CANNOT AND WILL NOT BE OVERTHROWN, [sic]” the message signed with Anacona’s name read. “We will hunt you down and tear those masks from your face. You’ll be strung up next to the chimps. On display for the whole world to see. The Klan is to be feared, not threatened.”

On Wednesday, individuals claiming to be affiliated with Anonymous sent a video to News2Share saying they took the the statement as "a direct threat on our lives" that they would not stand for.

VIDEO : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoHAp14lYoc

The video continued that hacktivists would employ every means necessary to defend themselves.

"If you attempt to aid the police [in the event of further civil unrest in Ferguson], just know that there are more of us out there than there are of you. But you will not know who we are. We are everywhere. We are among the protesters and we are even among you. Your violent ideology will not prevail in this fight."

They further told the police of Ferguson that if they responded to protesters in the city with violent tactics, they should know that they are “being watched very closely.”

“You man have the guns and badges, but when you are on the side of the KKK, history will not look back on you kindly.

Take our warning. To the KKK and police, be peaceful, or you will face the consequences.”

The two groups with a penchant for face-covering apparel began engaging in a perhaps unequal “cyber war” after the KKK threatened to use “lethal force” against protesters in Ferguson, Missouri.

On Sunday night, Anonymous listed the KKK websites it had taken offline on its Twitter feed, with reports of the attacks accompanied by the hashtag #OpKKK.

The group also said that information garnered from the seized Klan websites and Twitter accounts could help them unmask several KKK members, likely sparking the “we’re NOT HIDING” triad.

On Thursday, Anonymous released a video claiming they had information from a whistleblower which they say would link the KKK to the Ferguson Police Department. The group will not release the information, however, saying its specificity would ultimately reveal the source. Instead, they vow to “hold this information until we can connect the dots ourselves.”

The hacktivists earlier claimed to have identified KKK members at a support rally for police officer Darren Wilson, who shot and killed a black teenager named Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri on August 9.

There are fears further protests could erupt in Ferguson, with a federal grand jury set to announce its decision on whether or not to charge Wilson for the death of the unarmed teen.

Senior Revolutionary Guard official says Fateh-110 missiles, with a range of up to 350 kilometers, can strike Israel's nuclear reactor.

Iran supplied Hezbollah with missiles capable of reaching the nuclear reactor in Dimona, semi-official Fars News Agency reported. The Fateh (Conqueror) model missile – carrying a 500 kilogram warhead and flying at up to 4,500 kph – has a range of 250 to 350 kilometers.

Ynet's defense expert Ron Ben-Yishai noted that the Iranian missiles are considered to be more accurate than previous models. The missiles made their way to Hezbollah through Tehran's ally, Syria.

According to foreign reports, Israel attacked a shipment of similar Fateh-110 missiles last year near the airport in Damascus.

"The new missiles will allow Hezbollah to hit anywhere in Israel," Revolutionary Guard Brigadier General Sayed Majid Moussavi told Fars. The report from the semi-official news agency emphasized that Tehran believed supplying weapons to Hamas and Hezbollah to confront "the bloodthirsty Zionist enemy" was a central component of its strategy.

Last week, another senior Revolutionary Guard official, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, revealed that the missile manufacturing plants used by the Syrian military were planned and constructed by Iran. He added that similar factories, and training services, were supplied to Hezbollah and Hamas.

The Fars report did not include any additional details or whether the new missiles were manufactured in Lebanon or transferred to Hezbollah already constructed.  The inflammatory report was published some 48 hours ahead of a final deadline for a nuclear deal between Iran and Western powers.

Iran and six powers failed for a second time this year on Monday to resolve their 12-year dispute over Tehran's nuclear ambitions and gave themselves seven more months to overcome the deadlock that has prevented them from clinching an historic deal.

Western officials said they were aiming to secure an agreement on the substance of a final accord by March but that more time would be needed to reach a consensus on the all-important technical details.

We have had to conclude it is not possible to get to an agreement by the deadline that was set for today and therefore we will extend the JPOA (Joint Plan of Action) to June 30, 2015," British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond told reporters at the end of the talks.

He was referring to the so-called Joint Plan of Action, an interim deal agreed between the six and Iran a year ago in Geneva, under which Tehran halted higher level uranium enrichment in exchange for a limited easing of sanctions, including access to some frozen oil revenues abroad.

Hammond said the expectation was that Iran would continue to refrain from sensitive atomic activity.

He added that Iran and the powers "made some significant progress" in the latest round of talks, which began last Tuesday in the Austrian capital. Hammond said that there was a clear target to reach a "headline agreement" of substance within the next three months and talks would resume next month.

It is unclear where next month's talks will take place, he said, noting that during the extension period, Tehran will be able to continue to access around $700 million per month in sanctions relief. A source close to the talks said Vienna and Oman were possible venues for next month's discussions.

An Iranian official confirmed the extension, as did Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who echoed Hammond's comments about "substantial progress".

A report by the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN nuclear watchdog, showed that Iran had reduced its stockpile of low-enriched uranium gas and taken other action to comply with last year's interim agreement with world powers.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani told his nation on Monday night that it "has achieved a significant victory" and "negotiations will lead to a deal, sooner or later."

In a nationwide broadcast, Rouhani also said many gaps in the talks "have been eliminated."

He added: "One phase is about the behind-the-curtain issues, where ideas are made closer and talks happen. In this phase there has been good progress. The other phase is when those agreements are put on paper and turn into a final, ultimate deal in writing. We still have some distance from this second phase."

US Secretary of State John Kerry said on Monday Iran and the six world powers had made substantial progress toward a final deal over its nuclear program, but the talks would remain difficult in coming months despite new ideas being presented.

"If we can do it (get a deal) sooner, we want to do it sooner," Kerry told reporters. "These talks are not going to get easier just because we extend them. They're tough. They've been tough. And they're going to stay tough."

He said that the powers could not keep talking with Iran forever without serious progress, but it was not the time to walk away. "In these last days in Vienna we have made real and substantial progress and we have seen new ideas surface."

He said there were still "some significant points of disagreement".

Kerry said there would be no additional sanctions relief beyond what was already agreed under an interim deal signed exactly one year ago in Geneva.

Negotiators agreed Monday to decide by March 1 what needs to be done and by when. A final agreement is meant to follow four months later.

No details about the "substantial progress" were immediately available. One senior Western diplomat expressed pessimism about the prospects for an agreement in seven months time.

"It's been 10 years that proposals and ideas have been put forward," he said on condition of anonymity. "There's nothing left. It's essentially a side issue now. The Iranians are not moving. It is a political choice."

"I am skeptical that even if we did extend we will be able to reach a deal," he said shortly before the extension was announced.

The deadline for a deal, agreed in July when the two sides missed an earlier target date, was Monday.

The Vienna talks have aimed for a deal that could transform the Middle East, open the door to ending economic sanctions on Iran and start to bring a nation of 76 million people in from the cold after decades of hostility with the West.

The cost of failure could be high, and Iran's regional foes Israel and Saudi Arabia are watching nervously. Both fear a weak deal that fails to curtail Tehran's nuclear ambitions, while a collapse of the negotiations would encourage Iran to become a threshold nuclear weapon state, something Israel has said it would never allow.

As it appeared likely that no agreement was in the offing, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: "No deal is better than a bad deal."

The main sticking points in the talks are the scope of Iran's enrichment program, the pace of lifting sanctions that have crippled Iran's economy and the duration of any deal.

So far, Western officials said Tehran has refused to budge on its demand to continue to operate most of its enrichment centrifuges currently in operation. Tehran blames the West for making excessive demands on the Islamic Republic.

Several Western officials have questioned the value of extending the talks again, saying there is little reason to expect the Iranians will show the flexibility needed to end the impasse in the weeks and months ahead. They have also questioned the Iranian leadership's desire to compromise.

CANADIAN WATCHDOG REPORT CHASTISES RCMP FOR ISLAMIST ENGAGEMENT

by John Rossomando
IPT News

November 24, 2014

A new report by Canada's Point de Bascule takes the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) to task for participating in a panel discussion Wednesday sponsored by the Muslim Students Association (MSA) at the University of Windsor. RCMP Superintendent Doug Best, who heads the Canadian law-enforcement agency's national security operations in Ontario, will appear alongside two Canadian Islamists.

"The upcoming event in Windsor is the latest example of an increasing and dangerous collaboration between Canada's security agencies and Islamists linked to the Muslim Brotherhood infrastructure," the Point de Bascule report says.

The program, "Violent Radicalization and It Impact on Muslims," also features two speakers with a history of supporting radical Islamists. One of those speakers is Muhammed Robert Heft who recently met with Taliban officials in Qatar in hopes of getting the Taliban to stand against the Islamic State. The other radical Islamist is law professor Faisal Kutty has been a spokesman for two charities accused of al-Qaida ties.

The host organization, MSA, was founded in 1963 by Muslim Brotherhood members at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. It served as the organizational base from which the Islamist movement in North America sprang. A 2007 New York Police Department report found that extremists use MSAs as "forums for the development and recruitment of like-minded individuals."

Numerous individuals with MSA ties have been convicted or charged with terrorism-related offenses.

"However, if we look carefully at the organizations that they support and the goal that they pursue, they are indistinguishable from those defended by violent Islamists," said Marc Lebuis, director of Point de Bascule. "In fact, Islamists waging violent jihad and those waging what they call themselves the "jihad of the tongue" are executing a good cop/bad cop routine in front of our very eyes."

The "jihad of the tongue" involves calling non-believers to Islam, and it can accompany a military or political struggle. Muslim Brotherhood ideologue Sheik Yusuf al-Qaradawi contends that this sort of jihad can be waged by "calling others to Islam, highlighting the merits of Islam and preaching in the language of the target audience."

Qaradawi also notes that this "collective jihad of da'awah (Islamic preaching)" precedes military jihad.

The Hamas Charter similarly endorses the jihad of the tongue as a prong of its offensive against Israel and the Jews, Lebuis said.

"Jihad is not confined to the carrying of arms and the confrontation of the enemy. The effective word, the good article, the useful book, support and solidarity - together with the presence of sincere purpose for the hoisting of Allah's banner higher and higher - all these are elements of the Jihad for Allah's sake," Hamas says in Article 30 of its 1988 charter.

Point de Bascule, a non-profit watchdog group that monitors the activities and operations of radical Islamic groups in Canada, warns that if those waging the "jihad of the tongue" on Canada's security infrastructure succeed, it will make the "task of neutralizing violent jihadists almost impossible."

The fruits of this engagement include a 2009 RCMP document "Words Make Worlds" that discourages police officers from using Islamic concepts to describe the Islamist threat. Michel Coulombe, director of Canada's Security Intelligence Service, testified in February that his agency prefers to refer to jihadism as "terrorism inspired by Al-Qaida ideology" rather than invoking Islamic terminology.

It's not a notion that will be challenged by the others on Wednesday's Windsor panel.

Muhammed Robert Heft is a Toronto-based convert imam who has advised the RCMP, Canadian parliamentarians along with U.S. and Australian government agencies counter-terrorism issues. Heft helped create a "Specialized De-Radicalization Intervention Program" modeled on Alcoholics Anonymous to work with radicalized Muslim youth. He also founded P4E Support Group, which states on its website that it exists to "assist Muslims converts."

Heft portrays himself as a moderate; however, his Facebook page raises questions about that. Earlier this month, Heft travelled to Doha, Qatar to meet with Taliban representatives at their "embassy" there.

"Please pray for the success of my mission. I am meeting with the head of the Taliban Embassy in Doha, Qatar and we are working on a treaty that would state clearly that the Taliban (Mujahideen) don't condone vigilante violence, Criminal acts or Terrorism in Non Muslim Countries. They have agreed to take it to Mullah Omar," Heft wrote Oct. 24. "This will hopefully put some doubt as to the legitimacy of ISIS and there(sic) Fatwas about killing indiscriminately."

He said that he had been in communication with the Taliban for the previous six months leading up to his announcement.

Such sentiments ignore the Taliban's history of indiscriminate killing of innocents and its support for Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida both before and since 9/11. Al-Qaida Emir Ayman Al-Zawahiri pledges his loyalty to Mullah Omar.

Canada's government added the Taliban to its list of terrorist organizations in 2013, noting that the terrorist group mostly relies on suicide bombings and improvised-explosive devices to kill indiscriminately.

Heft's Facebook page links to the website of Zakir Naik, a Muslim televangelist banned from entering Canada in 2010.

Naik described Jews as "our staunchest enemy" and endorsed Osama Bin Laden, saying:" If [Osama bin Laden] is fighting the enemies of Islam, I am for him … If he is terrorizing a terrorist, if he is terrorizing America the terrorist, the biggest terrorist, I am with him."

Faisal Kutty, the third panelist at the MSA event, is a Valparaiso University law professor in Indiana..

Kutty served on the board of Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Canada office and worked as a spokesman for the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), a radical Saudi funded organization and the Benevolence International Foundation (BIF) – both organizations linked to al-Qaida and Osama bin Laden.

Kutty told journalists that BIF "provides succor for the needy, not help for terrorists" and denied that Benevolence International Foundation had ties to Al-Qaida in October 2001, according to the Point de Bascule report.

The United Nations added BIF to its list of Taliban and al-Qaida supporting entities in November 2002, noting its active support for Bin Laden's activities in Bosnia, Pakistan, China, Chechnya and Russia. Three months later, BIF director Enaam Arnaout entered a plea agreement for diverting charitable donations to jihadists.

Kutty publicly defended WAMY in October 2001, telling a Canadian newspaper it was a "very respected organization" and that people "would be shocked" to hear allegations linking it with al-Qaida. But a Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) audit released in 2011 found that WAMY had served as "primary [source] of Al-Qaida financial and fundraising activity" in 1993 and that it "served a critical role in the Arab-Afghan terrorist infrastructure."

Furthermore, in 2003, David Kane, a special agent with U.S. Customs Service, signed an affidavit in which he revealed numerous radical, racist and terrorist activities supported by WAMY, including active support for Hamas' terrorist wing. Kane also cited the fact that WAMY published many books for Muslim youth promoting hatred of Christians and Jews. Kane quoted from one book as follows:
Citation:

"[T]he seed of the Gulf-war was planted by a Jew; the Jews are enemies of the faithful, God and the angels; The Jews are humanity's enemies; they foment immorality in this world; The Jews are deceitful, they say something but mean the exact opposite; Who was behind the biological crisis which became like brain washing? A Jew; Who was behind the disintegration of family life and values? A Jew; The one that stirred-up hate and turned the individuals against their Muslim governments in the Arab peninsula - a Jew; Who promoted Atheism and made the countries thrive on Muslims' blood? The Jews; Every tragedy that inflicts the Muslims is caused by the Jews."

More recently, Kutty downplayed the role Islam plays in motivating jihadists. In a Nov. 22 column in the Windsor Star, he blamed "mental illness" for jihadist terrorist acts, including that of Parliament Hill shooter Michel Zehaf-Bibeau.

"In fact, a few 'radicals' that I have counselled were diagnosed schizophrenics," Kutty wrote.

The report shows that , the RCMP fallen into the same trap as some U.S. law enforcement agencies in that have established close relations with radical Islamist groups who pretend to be moderate. The danger is that the RCMP legitimizes militant groups and radicals who should be shunned rather than dignified as respected moderate allies of the Canadian government in its war against war against Islamic terrorism.

By embracing Islamic extremists who masquerade as moderates, the RCMP effectively has ostracized genuine Islamic moderates in Canada who deserve recognition for their courage in speaking out against the terrorists.

"Alors soit, me voici !", répond celui-ci.

NATO ALLIANCE APPROVES QUICK REACTION AGAINST RUSSIA

The 28 member countries will improve defences against Russia's aggression and other threats, a decision largely spurred by the country's actions in Ukraine.

BRUSSELS—NATO nations agreed on Tuesday to bolster the military alliance’s defences against Russian aggression, continuing its return to its founding mission by focusing on nearby threats as it steps back from more than a decade of combat in Afghanistan.

The 28 member countries approved a new interim quick-reaction military force to protect themselves from Russia or other threats, with an initial unit to be up and running next year, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said. The interim force will be supplanted in 2016 by a permanent one, he said.

“We are protecting our allies and supporting our partners,” Stoltenberg told reporters at an annual meeting of NATO’s foreign ministers.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry urged diplomats from other nations to contribute their fair share to the alliance, noting “we can’t have 21st-century security on the cheap.”

It was likely to be the last meeting of foreign ministers who oversaw the International Security Assistance Force, made up largely of NATO troops, which has sought to stabilize Afghanistan since shortly after the 2001 invasion.

The foreign ministers also approved maintaining measures through 2015 initiated to reassure NATO nations nearest Russia, Stoltenberg said. Such measures include stepped-up air patrols over the Baltic Sea and the continuous rotation of NATO military units in and out of countries such as Poland and Baltic republics.

A senior NATO official, speaking anonymously, said the brigade-sized land-based component of the force, about 3,000-4,000 troops contributed by Germany, Norway and the Netherlands, is expected to be operational as of Jan. 1.

The military ramp-up was largely spurred by Russia’s aggressive actions in neighbouring Ukraine. It comes as Ukrainian government forces and pro-Russia separatists signed a new truce on Tuesday, to take effect Friday.

But as with the Sept. 5 ceasefire, which has been violated almost daily with more than 1,000 combat-related deaths in three months, the renewed pledge to end eight months of fighting over territory in eastern Ukraine is likely to have little deterrent effect on irregular forces fighting on both sides.
